Chapter 13

"I miss the old cheese factory." said Tyrone.

"Oh yeah, they remodeled this place." said Matt.

"I used to like the samples here." said Destiny.

To their surprise, the lights were on in the gift shop and the dining hall as well. This was a big surprise since no one was working there for now. Merchandise laid neatly in their place, the food still in the fridges, and the smell of ice cream was in the air. It was a pity there was no one serving Tillamook ice cream.

"Let's take photos!" insisted Matt.

"Photos? No way. We might get in trouble." said Destiny.

"We already are." said Tyrone with a wink. He and Matt then exchanged mischievous looks and they headed towards the bus model that was by the dining hall.

"Vamonos Destiny! Let's make the most of this!" cried Matt with excitement.

"I don't know guys. I'm a little worried. How come the lights are still on and there is no one here?" said Destiny.

"You worry to dang much." said Tyrone. He then pulled his phone out and took a quick selfie with Matt. Destiny rolled her eyes and pulled Tyrone's phone.

"I'll take your photo. Just don't post it or something." said Destiny.

"I don't have instagram and facebook." said Tyrone.

"Good for you." said Destiny as she took a couple photos. She smiled somewhat and took a few.

"Make some poses. Do funny faces or something." said Destiny.

Tyrone and Matt then made goofy looking faces and Destiny chuckled. "You guys." she said softly.

As the boys were having fun in different poses on the bus, the white creature from the factory floors then went inside with them.

"Ah!" cried Tyrone. Matt cussed out loud in Spanish and the creature looked at both boys in surprise.

"Crap." he said aloud. He then jumped out of the car and pounced to escape, only to land on Destiny's chest.

"Oops. Pardon me." said the creature. Destiny began to shriek and tried to kick the horrid animal away. The creature landed on the floor and ran.

"After it! It's probably an agent of evil!" cried Matt.

"I don't take orders from you!" cried Tyrone rather aggressively.

"Stop arguing guys! We have to catch it!" cried Destiny.

The three of them gave chase and the creature ran up the stairs as fast as it's legs carried it. Matt ran past Tyrone and Destiny and ran up the stairs to catch it.

"Wait! We got questions!" cried Matt.

"Sorry! Yo no hablo ingles!" cried the creature in a mocking tone.

"You racist little punk!" cried Matt.

"I'm not racist! I'm a woke individual! I would never insult a sweet kid like you!" cried the creature who was running in front of shelves where cheese samples were during a normal day.

"Too late!" cried Matt as he jumped on the animal.

"Wait! Stop! You'll squash me like a bug!" he cried.

Matt finally caught him and he laughed. "I gotcha!" he cried.

Just then, the ground exploded. At least to Matt; for it seemed to explode. Both Matt and the creature hugged each other comically as three large black shadows appeared before them.

"Snap I forgot my salt!" cried the creature.

"Way ahead of you!" cried Matt as he pulled out his jar of salt and threw a handful to the shadows. They began to shriek and they flew all over the factory like panicked horseflies.

Tyrone and Destiny arrived and they quickly covered Matt and the creature. "We need to hide!" cried Tyrone.

"What are those things? Have you seen them before?" asked Destiny.

"No way! We have never seen such ugly things before." said Matt.

"They must be Dark Impulse Lackeys. I thought those things were extinct." said the creature.

"You know what those are?" asked Matt.

"I should be asking you questions. How do you know salt was going to work? And why do you know stuff about Rood Bridge Park?" asked the creature.

"The Mothman sent us to find the Groke. We have to stop this winter!" cried Matt.

"What he said." said Tyrone.

"Guys, I hate to break up this moving plot, but we really need to find a place to hide!" cried Destiny.

Below them, the shadows were still freaking out, trying to get the burning salt from their bodies off.

"I got an idea. Follow me! I know every nook and cranny of this factory!" said the creature.

"Who are you?!" cried Matt.

"I'm Morso. Pleased to meet ya! Now follow me if you want to live!" cried Morso, the whatever he was.
