Chapter 7
Same Time: Nearby Paris Fire Station
"How could you possibly think you could have handled that fire by yourself!?" yelled out the fire commander.
"I thought I could handle it! The fire seemed small and I wanted to make sure it was knocked out before too much damage could be done!" replied Alex, the firefighter being questioned.
Alex was a new firefighter assigned to the firehouse, and while she had performed really well in training, she was eager to act first then think later.
"Yes, and because of your actions, not only could you have been killed, but you made it so the fire spread quicker and the entire house was lost! How do you explain that to the homeowner? I hear he is a teacher, I bet he will not even be able to teach right now after losing EVERYTHING!" -the fire commander continued to lay into Alex.
"Sir, I know I messed up, but I promise I won't do it again!" -Alex tried to defend herself.
"I know you won't mess up! Because as of right now you will not get a chance. I am placing you on leave until we figure out what to do with you."
"But sir, that is not fair! All I have ever wanted to do…" -Alex began to tear up.
"ENOUGH! Get your things and get out of my fire station!" -The commander yelled out.
Alex stood at attention before turning around and leaving, slamming the commander's door behind her. As soon as she got out of the station and into a back alley, she broke down along the wall and began to cry. She felt like she was being wrongly blamed for what happened.
The dark observatory began to open.
"I feel the burning heart of someone who has been wrongly accused." -Hawk Moth said with his dark aura hidden in his voice.
A white butterfly landed in his hand, which he slowly clasped, using his power to turn it into a dark akuma.
"Fly away my little Akuma and help her prove to the world what she can do."
The akuma flew out the window and across Paris searching for its target. It found Alex still in the alley crying. It flew down to her and landed on her fire badge, absorbing itself into it. Suddenly Alex looked up with a purple akuma outline around her face.
"Flashfire, I am Hawk Moth. It is wrong for them to be so hard on you when you did the right thing. You should show them what you can do. And all I ask in return is Ladybug's and Cat Noir's miraculouses."
"They will learn that you can get burnt playing with fire." -Alex said as she stood up.
Suddenly her entire body was covered by glowing purple goo as she transformed. As it went away, she now looked like she was wearing all her firefighting gear. She had solid black boots with dark purple pants. Her upper body was covered with her firefighting coat, also dark purple with blue trim. Her head was covered by a breathing mask and helmet. You could not see her face at all. The mask was connected to two large bottles on her back. Her hands were transformed into nozzles, one of which had a small flame in front of it.
She looked up to the roof, jumping to it with the help of the bottles, which shot out like a jetpack to propel her to the roof. She looked upon the city, waiting to see where she would strike first.
