Chapter 24

Tyrone and Destiny were both walking in the forest. It was hard to believe that such a nice and peaceful place would attract such a monster like Violet. They both continued walking, hoping that she wasn't around to see them.

"Tyrone, can I ask you something?" asked Destiny.

"What's up?" asked Tyrone.

"I know you told me how you and Matt met before, but isn't it strange that you're both together in this?" asked Destiny.

"What do you mean?" asked Tyrone.

"I don't believe much in fate or any of that, but I believe that there is a reason why you and Matt are together. A very good reason." said Destiny.

"He didn't ask to be put in the hospital in the first place. Our foster Dad did a lot of bad things before he loved us. I try not to think much about it." said Tyrone.

"You're foster Dad sounds nice." said Destiny.

"He is now. But before, man he was scary." said Tyrone.

"Sorry, I feel like we're getting off track here. How much do you love Matt?" asked Destiny.

"How much? Why do you ask?" asked Tyrone.

"I'm asking because I want to know." said Destiny.

"I love him to the moon and back." said Tyrone.

"That was very sweet." said Destiny.

"It was a strange question." said Tyrone.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to know how much you loved him. I think it's really sweet that you love him so much." said Destiny.

Tyrone chuckled under his breath. "Is it because he's Hispanic?" he asked.

"Oh no, not at all!" said Destiny.

"Sorry, it's just that we get a lot of looks when we go to stores and stuff. People don't believe we are siblings." said Tyrone.

"I didn't mean it like that. I meant on how much you love him." said Destiny.

"I'm curious. Why ask me that?" asked Tyrone.

"It was a thing I had with my cousin. I loved him a lot too. To the moon and back as well. Not a day goes by that I miss his smiling face and his freckles on his face. I miss him terribly." said Destiny.

"I'm sorry. I know that feeling." said Tyrone.

"You did the right thing keeping Matt away. He would have gotten hurt." said Destiny.

"Actually, I didn't get to thank you for what you did for him back in Hillsboro." said Tyrone.

"That was nothing." said Destiny.

"No really, you actually protected him! It was so brave and sweet of you! I don't know how I can repay you." said Tyrone.

"Matt told me you worked at that corn dog place back home. When this is all over, you owe me a milkshake." said Destiny.

"Done! Anything to show my gratitude." said Tyrone.

Just then, they heard voices. Arguing voices. Tyrone and Destiny exchanged looks and followed the voices.

"I know I shouldn't have mixed humans into this, but they were very convincing! Besides, they knew the Mothman!" cried what appeared to be the voice of Morso.

"You brought them to their doom Morso! Didn't you see what that witch had? It was Dark Impulse! The dark magic that is responsible for genocides!" cried the voice of the Groke.

"The Mothman had faith in them! I believe them!" cried Morso.

"We found you guys!" cried Destiny.

"You two humans better go home! This is no place for you both!" cried the Groke.

"Not possible. Kids are in danger. We all want to save them." said Destiny.

"We do. But you can get killed." cried the Groke.

"Where is Violet now?" asked Tyrone.

"She is right now at the top of this mountain as we speak. To get there, we will need extra equipment." said Morso.

"Humans cannot make it there safe and sound. It's much too dangerous." said the Groke.

"But we have you! You can save the kids can't you?" asked Destiny.

"Yes! It is possible. I can use my power to stop the curse and perhaps Violet, but you will freeze to death if you come with me!" cried the Groke.

"We don't have a choice. We must stop her now. Before it's too late." said Tyrone.

Just then, the sky went dark and everyone heard the voice of Violet. "Oh, but it already is too late."

Everyone turned to look up at the sky and Violet was floating on top of them, stark naked and with two large coffins by her side.

"Tonight, at midnight, I will begin. Their youth will be mine." said Violet.

"Screw you Bitch!" cried Destiny. She grabbed a rock and threw it at Violet. The Groke also shot her ice powers at the woman. Morso covered his ears as the sound of the Groke's powers were very loud. Violet protected herself with some force field, and waved her arms out. The ground shook violently and large black spikes appeared out of nowhere. One of them stabbed Destiny on her left foot.

She then screams in pain and Tyrone ran up to her. "Destiny!" he cried.

Violet then opened her fist and Tyrone began to float up into the air. "My what a handsome young buck." said Violet as he forced poor Tyrone to move towards her.

"Leave him alone!" cried Destiny in horror.

Violet placed her hands on Tyrone's face and smiled. "You truly are handsome. Very Caucasian. And you reek of boy sweat. I love it." she said in a very creepy voice. Tyrone tried to move, but Violet's grasp on him was too powerful.

"You are too old. Your youth isn't young enough. But I wouldn't mind having a plaything to be with at night when I'm all alone. Don't you crave this body of mine?" she asked softly.

Tyrone closed his eyes and Violet smiled. She floated away, pulling the coffins and Tyrone with her.

Destiny tried to move, but the spike on her foot was hurting her. She had to get herself free first. Morso quickly ran up to her and tried to help.

"It doesn't look so good." said Morso.

"You think?" asked Destiny.

"You see Morso! This is why humans can't be here! They can die! The boy is gone! But not under my watch! You stay and help Destiny. I'll go after Violet." cried the Groke.

"Why the sudden change of heart?" asked Morso.

"Please. Had I known this was all caused by a witch like her, I would have stopped her! I didn't know anything! Maybe I was under a curse too and I didn't know it." said the Groke.

Destiny then got her foot out and screamed. She then grabbed some snow from the ground and placed her on her foot to put pressure on it.

"You don't have anything that can heal my foot instantly right?" she asked hopefully.

"I know a cure element, but it's not enough for your foot." said Morso.

"Stay here and put pressure on that. When this is all over, I'll come back and help you. I got to save the kids and your boyfriend too." said the Groke.

Destiny wished to tell the Groke Tyrone was not her boyfriend. Not in the slightest. In fact, she never really took interest in Tyrone. Sure he was sweet and very charming towards his little brother and he was brave; but Destiny never thought of him as something more. She saw him as an ally; a friend that was helping her in this cause. But she didn't want to argue with the Groke. There was too much at stake. The children's lives were very important and that was the task at hand.

"I'm going with you. My foot may be hurt, but I'm not going to let something like that slow us down. Let's go." said Destiny with determination. With newfound strength, she stood up and walked up ahead, as if nothing were hurting her. But it DID hurt and Destiny worked so hard not to scream or even shriek.

Morso walked behind her and carried a small glowing plant. "This is a medical herb. It can soothe the pain on your foot. Let me put it on." said Morso.

"Do it quick. We got kids to save! And Tyrone's ass." said Destiny rolling her eyes.

Morso applied the small herb on her foot and a green glitter like substance was starting to appear, somewhat helping her foot heal. The Groke stood next to Destiny and placed her large fuzzy hand on her shoulder.

"I'll tell you this. You ain't a princess." said the Groke.

"Of course not. I'm just a simple dudette who cares for kids." said Destiny with grit.

"I like your style. Come! Let's go squash that Violet and stop this curse!" declared the Groke.

"Yay! Girl power." said Morso.

"Come along you smally fuzzy thing!" commanded the Groke.

Morso chuckled nervously and followed behind with the army of bunnies after them, with their spears ready to fight.
