Chapter 26

Tyrone, Matt and Destiny were on the run. They were being chased by Lady Tundra, who was floating in the sky, with the coffins by her side. Approximately, there were about at least 400 coffins of sleeping children inside. And the three friends had to think fast. They felt like time was running out.

"We can't have her throw the coffins at us! She can kill them!" cried Matt.

"She won't do it! She needs them alive for her curse!" cried Destiny.

"Then what can we do?" cried Tyrone, panting for breath.

Lady Tundra then summoned ice shards from the ground and they appeared out of nowhere. Tyrone dodged one while Destiny avoided another. Matt unfortunately had one hit him, slicing his arm. Matt fell to the ground, with blood all over the snow. Tyrone screamed out Matt's name as the wicked Lady Tundra summoned a large empty black coffin.

Matt's body was then sent floating up into the air and thrown inside the coffin.

"No!" cried Tyrone.

"Yes. His youth will be an excellent addition to my collection." said Lady Tundra.

"You bitch!" cried Destiny.

Lady Tundra's eyes began to glow and the coffins were all flying around her. The Groke appeared out of nowhere and shot ice particles at her. But Lady Tundra herself defended against that with a force field.

"Drat!" cried The Groke.

"It's hopeless!" cried Morso.

"No! Nothing is hopeless!" cried Tyrone.

He ran up to her and screamed. "STOP THIS AT ONCE!"

Lady Tundra looked down at Tyrone and stopped. The coffins froze in place.

"Let the kids go! Please! Don't take my little brother! You can have me! Have me instead!" cried Tyrone.

"Tyrone! What on Earth are you doing?!" cried Destiny.

"No! Don't give yourself up!" cried Morso.

"She won't respect anything you ask of her! She's a cold hearted monster who loves despair!" cried the Groke.

"I'm not heartless as you all take me out to be. I can be reasonable, if the arguments are good to my liking." said Lady Tundra as she lowered herself slowly.

"Take me. Please let the kids go and have them return home. They have nothing to do with the hidden world. And Matt is my baby brother. I love him to the moon and back and I'd rather die than live without him." said Tyrone with determination.

Destiny stood behind him, ready to pull Tyrone away to safety. Bubbles was close by, in case they needed to get away. The Groke and Morso stood there helplessly as Lady Tundra stroked her chin.

"These children have a lot of youth to give me. What do you have to give? It has to be worth more than the children's youths. Your love is NOT enough." said Lady Tundra.

"What do you want?" asked Tyrone.

"The answer is quite simple actually. Power. Supreme and unlimited power." said Lady Tundra.

Tyrone nodded. "I'm friends with a Mothman. He sees something in me. Perhaps I'm special in a way." said Tyrone, hoping to bluff a little. That didn't work and Lady Tundra made a face.

"You aren't very bright. You have nothing to give me." said Lady Tundra.

"BUT I DO!" cried a boy's voice. Matt's voice. He opened the coffin he was in and jumped on Lady Tundra, knocking her to the ground. With that one moment of vulnerability, the Groke quickly shot a small ice particle against her, freezing her body in an instant while Matt rolled across on the ground. Not wasting a moment, the Groke quickly used her full power to freeze Lady Tundra until she was a statue of ice.

Destiny quickly grabbed a metal baseball bat from the bag of supplies Morso gave them, and she used it to shatter Lady Tundra into small pieces, destroying her once and for all.

When that happened, the coffins lowered to the ground and they opened. Inside were the sleeping children, all of them snoring blissfully. The sky was beginning to clear up and the Groke quickly shot her ice power at the sky.

"Screw this curse." she said aloud. And with that, the sky was finally blue and clear once again. The Eternal Winter curse was finally lifted.

Matt ran to Tyrone and gave him a huge hug, while Destiny looked at the shattered pieces of Lady Tundra on the ground.

"What did I do." she said to herself aloud.

"What you did was amazing! You just saved these children Destiny!" cried Morso cheerfully.

"Yes. Tyrone lowered her guard, Matt physically charged against her, letting her guard down, and you finished the job! You stopped the curse and saved the children. Now all that's left is to return them home." said the Groke.

"How are we going to do that?" asked Tyrone, looking over the kids.

"Can we call their parents or something?" asked Matt.

"Let me handle this." said a powerful and booming voice. Tyrone and Matt turned around to see their friend, The Mothman, land on the ground from flying and behind him was Sam and Natalie, both of them getting off the Mothman's back.

"Mom! Dad!" cried Matt.

"You guys!" cried Natalie.

"You guys came!" cried Tyrone.

"The minute the curse lifted, the Mothman picked us up and we went through a portal that led to the mountain. It was closed while the curse was still around." said Sam.

"Destiny! I want you to meet my foster parents." cried Tyrone happily. Destiny walked up to them and smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. Tyrone and Matt talked a whole lot about you guys." said Destiny. She then saw the Mothman and lowered her head.

"And you must be their teacher, the Mothman. Tyrone and Matt idolize you." she said.

"And I've been watching you, Destiny. You truly are a hero worthy of becoming a Sword Warrior." said the Mothman.

"Really? Me? I don't know." said Destiny.

"You should Destiny! You just saved these kids! Look, they are waking up!" cried Tyrone.

One by one, the kids were waking up from their coffins and they were all baffled to where they were. Sam and Natalie had to go up to them.

"Good morning sleepyheads." said Natalie.

"You were all abducted, but you are all rescued. We'll take you all home safe and sound to your families." said Sam, giving the announcements.

Tyrone, Matt and Destiny walked over the Groke and Morso, who were standing close to each other.

"With the curse lifted, we can go home now!" cried Morso.

"Yes. We can travel freely to Rood Bridge Park at last." said the Groke.

"So, what was the reason you were in the mountain the whole time?" asked Destiny.

"Mt. Hood is actually my second home. I live in a snow region in Rood Bridge Park originally, but I come here from time to time to make sure there is snow for people to enjoy." said the Groke.

"Can we get some snow now?" asked Matt.

"Really? I think we had enough of deep snow for a while kiddo." said Tyrone.

Destiny chuckled and patted Tyrone's shoulder. "What you did was very brave Tyrone. That was really sweet." With that, she gave Tyrone a kiss on the cheek and Tyrone blushed.

"Oh, it was nothing." said Tyrone nervously. Matt smiled and nudged on Tyrone's arm.

The Mothman came before them and opened his arms. "Come everyone! You have all done something incredible! All of you have defeated the Eternal Winter curse and saved our home. You all shall be rewarded and blessed by Queen Imani herself!"

"What?" asked the kids in unison.

Sam and Natalie came before them and they smiled with pride. "The situation in Rood Bridge Park has finally settled. The outbreak has also ended." said Sam.

"And now that the village is at peace, we can finally show you the world we are now calling home." said Natalie.

"Really? I thought you guys didn't want us to be involved in the hidden world?" asked Tyrone.

Sam nodded. "I still feel that it's dangerous for you guys to get involved, but you three handled this situation without swords and powers. If this is what you can do without them, then you guys have very high potential." said Sam.

"You don't mean that." said Matt blushing.

"Why are we standing here for? Let us go and welcome you all as heroes!" exclaimed the Mothman as he opened his wings to the blue sky.
