Chapter 27
Tyrone, Matt, and Destiny arrived back home to Garibaldi, back to their house. Sam and Natalie, along with the Groke and Morso gathered in the living room. Gannon and Garret arrived too, and reunited with their beloved pet Bubbles.
"I hope he wasn't too much trouble for you guys." said Gannon, holding Bubbles on his hand.
"He eats a lot when he's in his giant size." said Garret.
"He was amazing. And very helpful." said Tyrone with a smile.
"What will happen to the kids?" asked Destiny to the Groke.
"It will take a while for the children to go back to their families. The Mothman, along with a few of his friends and allies will have to work together to bring them all home and erase their memories of when they were kidnapped. The Sandmen will see to that." said the Groke.
"Sandmen?" asked Destiny.
"You have a lot to learn about the hidden world. You and the boys." said the Groke with a smile.
Destiny nodded and turned to Morso. "You train people to fight right?"
Morso stood up, eating an apple on his hand. "I trained Sword Warriors back home. You have the potential to be one. I liked how you beat that woman up back in the mountain. You deserve five stars." said Morso.
"You did what? That's amazing!" exclaimed Natalie as she handed Destiny a cupcake.
"And you, Tyrone, you also have Sword Warrior skills too. You should be one." said the Groke.
"Me? Oh no, I'm not warrior material. Besides, I'm no good in a fight. You guys saw me back there. Destiny did all the work." said Tyrone.
"It's okay. We both are wimps." said Matt to Tyrone.
"Thanks a lot." he whispered back and he booped Matt's nose.
"Where do I sign up?" asked Destiny.
"You already are. We will train here in town. Perhaps in a backyard or something." said Morso.
"Why not stay right here?" asked Natalie.
"What?" asked Sam quickly.
"Do you have a home dear?" asked Natalie.
"I live in an apartment in town." replied Destiny.
"We have room here. You can live here and train in the safety of our backyard." said Natalie.
"What the what?" asked Tyrone and Matt.
"Oh no, I don't want to be a burden." said Destiny.
"Nonsense. You put my boys in line and you seem to take yourself well in a fight. You are welcome to live here." said Sam. He turned to Natalie who was smiling and she patted Destiny's back.
"I see something beautiful in you. I know you will accomplish big things." said Natalie.
Destiny blushed at the beautiful lady and smiled. "Thank you." she said. She turned to Tyrone and Matt and winked.
"You two are going to have two ladies living here, watching your every move." she said.
Tyrone smiled nervously and turned to Sam, who simply shrugged. "If you can't beat them, join them." he whispered in Tyrone's ear.
Morso smiled and asked the Groke to hand him a large bag that was by the side of the couch.
"Destiny, your training as a Sword Warrior will begin tomorrow. The Groke and I will teach you the basics." said Morso.
"And we will handle the paperwork to have your name signed up in our ranks." said Garret.
"We could use a person like you." said Gannon. Bubbles then saluted Destiny and she smiled at everyone.
"You all are so kind to me. How can I ever repay you all?" she asked.
Tyrone walked up to her and smiled warmly. "Just go and be a champion."
Destiny couldn't help but shed a few tears and hugged Tyrone tightly.
"Thank you for believing in me." she said. Tyrone blushed and Matt joined in on the hug.
It was a solemn moment. Tyrone, Matt and Destiny were hugging in front of everyone. Those three kids went through a lot to get to where they were now. And this was just the beginning of their adventures.
