"Its a beautiful night, isn't it?" Bugaboo says. Her lovely face is lit up by the moonlight. "And I love the flower you got me," she giggles. She opens a box from Marinette's bakery and giggles.

"Would you like one, Cat?" she asks. I take one of the tasty treats, but really M'lady is sweeter then any of the doughnuts she has brought. "There heart-shaped. Perfect for Valentine's Day," she tells me.

"Oh, I think this one has some strawberry filling!" I grin, as a bit of it oozes onto my cheek. "Stay still, Kitty, I have a wet wipe."

She reaches into her small bag, and dabs my cheek gently. I feel my blushing, touched by her kindness. "Your really paw-some, Bugaboo." Ladybug snorts, and sprays a bit of her doughnut. "And your the sweetest Cat around," she says. "Well, I'm the only Cat Noir around. And something tells me you can only handle one of me."

Ladybug rests her head on my shoulder. "Cat, I've already had to deal with your copycat. That was enough to handle!" "True. But there was a way to tell us apart, M'lady!"

Ladybug looks at me. "How?" "He didn't know any Cat puns!" she rolls her eyes, and a brisk breeze springs up. The moon shines on both us now. I stare at her with a little dopey smile on my face. She is radiant in happiness, making her look even more beautiful, if that is possible.

"I could go for something warm at the apartment," she says. "Hot apple cider?" we both say at the same time, then start giggling.

"We even have a few doughnuts left when the time comes," Ladybug says, as we start walking towards home.

It is nice to get back to our small apartment as it was getting quite chilly outside. We cut the apples together. "So, do you have a Valentine's Day memory?" Ladybug asks me. I grin at her. "Well, you may want ask Nadya. I still don't know how she got those pictures!" Ladybug groans. "Either do I! It was a nice kiss, but I was just saving you!"

"You said it, Bugaboo!" I say. "What?" she asks, as she clicks on the stove. "It was a nice kiss!" Ladybug starts pelting me with apple peels. "Why, M'lady. Aren't I a-peeling to you?" I ask, holding up a well-aimed peel. Ladybug juices the apples and then she mixes the spices. Soon, the smell of spicy cider fills my nose.

"Careful, don't burn your lips, Cat." she sets the steaming mug in front of me a few minutes later. I pout at her. "Then I won't be able to kiss you." she blows on her drink. "My grandma and I made heart-shaped cookies again this year. I'm not sure why, but they taste different when I make them with her."

"I used to make cookies too when I was younger with Mom and Dad. Mom was more relaxed, so they cookies were usually soft, because Mom didn't like them hard and crunchy. Dad liked them all uniform."

"Reminds me of a friend's dad," Ladybug says. Hmm. "Adrien's father is neat and tidy," she explains. "I could see him doing something similar."

My drink is finally cool, and I take a sip. Its just right, not to sweet or sour. "You surely are getting to be a good cook," I tell her.

"Well, I have come along way since we first moved in." "I finally don't have to use the fan so much!" If you turn the oven past a certain temputare, the smoke detector goes off. We've learned that baking here takes longer, but its worth it.

"I wouldn't trade this place for anything," Ladybug says, looking around her small place with love.

When we snuggle up in bed that night, I realize that this is another place I can call "home." Another place where I can go when I need to be alone, or to share a laugh with my best friend.

Marinette's place is the another, and she loves Valentine's Day and the color pink. It suits her, too. She is sweet and kind, and in a heartbeat she will stand up for you.

I turn over and look at Ladybug who is already asleep, with her Koala bear in her arms. She snuggles up to me, and I put my arms around her making sure she is warm.

I wonder if Father notices I'm gone anymore, but I do not want to go back to a place that is cold and devoid of love.

I start to purr softly as I buried under the covers, happy to be here with Bugaboo. I wonder what she dreams about, but the smile on her face tells me its happy and peaceful.

I start to drift to dreamland, and find myself in my favorite box at Marinette's. She is sewing something, and I admire her attention to detail, because sometimes I am easily distracted.

Its been a good Valentine's Day with Bugaboo and tomorrow I spend it with Marinette. No doubt she'll want to get coffee after school, which is becoming one of my favorite parts of the day.

But my very favorite part of the day is when I wake up with Ladybug and get a hug. A hug is comfort between to arms a silent way of saying, "I love you."

Maybe one day Father, Mother and I will hug again and it doesn't even have to be on Valentine's Day. Things are different for now, but I have some of the best friends in the world.

I love helping at Marinette's bakery, especially helping Tom with rolling dough. He is a happy man, doing the job he loves. Sabine, Mari's mother may be more quiet like her daughter, but she's always there with a smile and hug.

Maybe that's why everyone loves going to their bakery. The food is good, and made with love. I stroke Ladybug's hair gently. She murmurs in her sleep, "Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet Kitty."

I kiss her forehead gently, murmuring words of love. Valentine's Day is not about chocolate and flowers, but telling the one you love how much you love them.
