Chapter 2: He Can't Be Gone.
Papa! Watch out!" Minato screamed. I stepped back, spun around, and bent down to grab the flying kunai with my bare hands, just before it hit my face. All of the kids looked super impressed, even the adults as well, while in all honesty it wasn't that hard. Everyone looked impressed except Minato, who was crying, and he turned his back and ran out of the room.
"Minato!" I yelled, dropping the kunai, and running to go get him. When I opened the door I saw Minato on the floor crying. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.
"I almost killed you," Minato sniffled.
"No, no you didn't," I reassured, I touched his shoulder but he jumped back.
"Don't touch me! I'll hurt you! I'm a monster!" he yelled, but instead of seeing Minato, I saw Naruto. He was crying. And oh man did I remember that day.
19 years earlier.
"Don't touch me! I'll hurt you! I'm a monster!" Naruto yelled at me. I took my hand away in shock. He started sobbing.
"Naruto-" I started.
"No! Please! Please! Please! Stay away from me! I really don't want to hurt you Sasuke!" he sobbed.
"Naruto, you would never hurt me," I said, choking back tears.
"You don't know that!" he yelled. He then put a hand on his stomach. "Kyuubi has killed people before when I was angry, who knows what it could do to you," he said painfully. "I could never forgive myself if I-" his voice broke, and he started sobbing again.
"Hey, hey," I whispered, choking back tears, and pulling him in closer to me. "You won't hurt me," I said, tears finally falling down my face. He tried to say no. But he was crying so much he couldn't talk. "Shh, it's gonna be okay," I comforted. "You'll never hurt me," I held on to him tightly, even though he struggled to get away from me. When I had locked my arms on him, he stopped struggling, and collapsed into my arms. He sobbed, and I started crying. I just couldn't handle it.
"I'm sorry for concerning you with this Sasu," he sobbed.
"No. Don't apologize, Naru. I always want you to concern me with this type of stuff no matter what," I cried.
When he fell asleep, I stroked his face with my hand.
"You just need someone huh? Usuratonkachi," I smiled, pulling him in and kissing his forehead. "I love you," I whispered to myself.
Present Time.
I felt tears roll down my cheeks.
"Papa?" Minato asked. "What's wrong?" His blue eyes glossed over.
"Please don't call yourself a monster," I told him.
"Why are you crying Papa?" He asked again.
"I'll tell you when you're older," I cried.
"Okay, I'm sorry Papa," Minato sniffled, tears rolling down his face.
"Hey, it'll be okay," I reassured, putting my hand on his face, drying his tears. I pulled myself together very quickly and then I asked him. "Do you want to give it another shot?"
"Can you help me?" He asked.
"Of course," I smiled.
"Okay then sure!" Minato, put his hands up in the air.
After 5 and a half hours of kunai training with Minato, I finally arrived home. I walked in the door and then remembered something very important.
Oh my god! It's Naruto's birthday today! I grabbed the decorations and started decorating the entire downstairs of the house except the front door.
After an hour the kids, and Naruto arrived home.
Naruto faced towards me and I could tell he was exhausted by the bags under his eyes, and I knew something was definitely wrong by his slowly dimming eyes. The stress marks were showing like they did the night before.
"What's wr-" I started but he interrupted me.
"I'm just going to go upstairs for a bit," he said dryly, giving me a smile, I thought I saw tears fill his eyes, but I shrugged it off, because I was probably imagining things again. I nodded and returned his smile. He walked upstairs, and I heard the bedroom door open and then close.
"Okay let's finish decorating!" I said happily.
"But Mama-" Kawaki tried to say but I interrupted him.
"No complaining, you're helping!" I stated.
"Papa-" he said again.
"Nope! You're helping!" I demanded. He sighed and walked away. I smiled.
After an hour we were finished decorating except for a couple of things.
"Hey Kiyomi can you please go grab the cake," I asked, pushing my black hair out of my face.
"Why can't Kawaki get it Papa? He's right there!" Kiyomi complained.
"Just grab it!" I snapped back.
"Ugh fine!" She sassed. Kiyomi was always saying things like that. She walked over to her twin sister Naruko and pushed her and then went to the fridge, with her black hair swaying behind her.
"Ugh," I sighed. "Okay everyone make a line your Mama is going to be coming downstairs any second now!" I said excitedly, for my husband's birthday party. "Oldest to youngest guys!" I yelled.
First in line was Kawaki. He has blonde hair on the bottom and black on the top. He also has gray eyes. He was dressed in a blue suit with a leather jacket over top. "Papa, can I tell you something that happened today?" He asked.
"After your Mama comes down, okay?" I told him. He dragged out a long sigh.
Second was Kiyomi. She has long black hair that reaches down to her knees. She also has black eyes like me. She looked very uncomfortable, wearing a black dress with leggings.
Third in line was Kiyomi's twin sister Naruko. She looked exactly like Naruto, my husband. But a girl. She has blonde hair in pigtails, blue eyes, and whiskers like her Mama. She was wearing an orange dress that reached all the way down to her feet.
Then there was Menma who looked very annoyed to be here. His black hair was combed neatly, and his blue and red eyes were looking down at the ground. He was wearing a black suit with a brown jacket with a fur hood.
Then of course there was Sarada and Boruto arguing in the middle of the line.
"No! You can't do that!" Sarada yelled, pushing up her red glasses.
"Yes I can!" Boruto bragged, starring his blue eyes into her black ones, and pushing his blonde hair out of his eyes. I stepped between them.
"Hey guys! No fighting today please," I begged.
"Hmph," Sarada sighed, pushing her short black hair behind her shoulders, and straightening her red flowy dress.
"Whatever," Boruto spat, crossing his arms over top of his black and red suit.
Next in line was Himawari. Her purplish black short hair that I had spent 20 minutes brushing, had been messed up. I wasn't very good at doing hair. It was usually Naruto who did Hima's hair.
"I'm sorry Papa," she apologized, giving me her sad blue puppy dog eyes.
"It's okay sweetheart," I said, bending down to nudge her cheek, and then fixed her yellow flower dress.
The last person in line was Minato. He looked so excited I thought his blue eyes were going to pop out of his skull. "Calm down Minato," I laughed, ruffling my hand through his black hair.
"I'm just so excited for Mama's birthday!" He practically yelled. I laughed again and looked down at his blue overalls with a fancy jacket over top.
"Good all 8 of you are here," I said excitedly. I walked over to the window and turned around to look at my creation. "Perfect," I said, admiring the room around me. I had spent all day decorating and it looked like a piñata had exploded and then multiplied. The decorations were placed exactly where I wanted them to be and it looked absolutely stunning. I turned around to look out the window while of course the children kept bickering with each other. After about a minute I got impatient.
Where are you Naruto? I thought.
2 minutes later both me and the kids started getting a lot more inpatient. Where are you dobe?! I thought angrily. I stared out the window for a little bit longer until something blocked my view. I saw blonde hair whip past my face. My eyes widened in horror when I heard a highly familiar voice say.
"Sasuke," in a low whisper. I saw his emotionless blue eyes and a smile spread on his face.
"NARUTO!" I yelled, jumping out of the window. He was falling fast because he had more momutm then I did but I couldn't lose him even though it would be impossible to reach him from here. He was about 10 feet away from the ground and I yelled "Naruto save yourself!" But when he gave me a sad smile I knew that it wasn't an accident he fell off the building. He definitely could have saved himself but he kept falling until I saw him hit the ground. When I got to the ground I landed on my feet.
I looked down to see my husband's face smiling up at me, light draining from his eyes. I grabbed his shoulders and started shaking him like crazy, hoping that it would help. I did this until I saw absolutely no light in his eyes, and his body went ice cold. I took my hands off him and I watched in slow motion as his limp body fell to the ground. I looked down at my hands that were now shaking, they were covered in his blood. I looked up to see the children looking out the window, their hands covered over their mouths, and sobbing. I looked back down to his body. Why? I thought to myself. I looked at his smile and my only reaction was to scream.
