Good news everyone, announcing a Hiatus once again tricked me into writing more. Bad news, then anxiety hit like a tank. And that's why we get another chapter.

—X Katsuki X—

Katsuki gritted his teeth around the pain as he watched All Might roll out of the flames and effortlessly put out the ones on him. This was such bullshit. Deku gets into a fight with this guy and nearly gets his dumb ass killed, meanwhile Katsuki had gotten dumped in the damn pond.

"Young Asui," All Might called, "take Young Bakugo and get out of here! It's not safe!"

And now he was gonna be dragged out of this damn fight by Frog. Shit. Fuck. Where were they even gonna go? Teach had left with Deku and his girlfriends, they were just gonna be sitting around waiting for All Might to win. But at the same time, the burning in his chest was too much for him to fight like this, he could tell that much. He was brave, not stupid.

It didn't make sense, any of it. Deku was supposed to be a Quirkless nobody who didn't get into UA, or got into Gen Ed through luck. He shouldn't have even been here, let alone been one of the key figures to saving the day. He was just a damn extra in Katsuki's story, not someone who would, would… what? Be the only time Katsuki had to sit by and watch as they died?

He didn't want Deku to be the only time he failed. It should be some mark of a legendary story, if it had to happen. Failing to save All Might from some sort of ultimate evil, not worthless, defenseless Deku.

It had to be a stunt or something, right? Deku, Izuku, wasn't actually going to, to die was he? It was just theatrics.

"Hey, hey what the hell, Zenos?" Hands said, beginning to scratch his neck, "You hurt Nomu there! Come on, big guy, get up!"

The charred man didn't stand up. "Zenos" just scoffed, a move that shook the entire USJ, "If you wanted your pet alive, you shouldn't have had it intervene in my hunt, Shigaraki."

"You-" Shigaraki bent down, scratching his neck rapidly as a high pitched growl escaped his lips, "I'll kill you for this, Zenos. Nomu was supposed to be our anti-All Might weapon."

"Your weapon, perhaps," Zenos drawled, "I want nor need such a thing. It would deprive me of the fun of the hunt."

"Fun?" All Might said as he appeared in the middle of a high speed punch toward Zenos, "Is that what this is to you, villain? Fun?"

"Yes," Zenos said bluntly, spreading out his wings and unleashing a roar that sent the USJ into a localized earthquake, a real rock slide coming for zone of the same name, and a pillar of light black and red erupted over All Might, sending him slamming into the ground even as the punch connected and sent Zenos flying further away from them. The light faded for a second, before returning just as heavy and oppressive as before, doing this several times in a row. At the end of it, All Might stood in the tattered remains of his suit, "I find this quite fun, All Might. Not that you could tell, with me in this state."

—X Mina X—

If Mina had been in a better situation, she would probably have found the sight of Midoriya sprawled out across the floor of the bus, head in Alisaie's lap, somewhat cute. Instead, she was left helping Aizawa-Sensei keep him straight and as Ochako held his feet so he wasn't lying directly on the dirty floor. Aizawa had pulled out a combat knife the minute they were on the bus and was moving through the UA complex as fast as the wheels could carry them, slicing through the robes Midoriya was wearing and pulling off the blood soaked black shirt he had on under it.

Then he had grabbed a first aid kit, pulling out a bottle of clear liquid and a piece of rubber he carefully wedged between Midoriya's teeth, before speaking up, "Midoriya? Midoriya can you hear me?"

After a second, Midoriya's right hand curled into a fist with a thumbs up.

"I need to clean out the wound of any fabric so Recovery Girl can get you into surgery as quickly as possible, do you understand?" Midoriya's eyes focused for a second, and he lifted the thumb slightly, "Alright, I'm sorry."

Sorry? Sorry for wha-?

Mina flinched alongside Alisaie and Ochako as Aizawa began to squeeze the bottle out over Midoriya's wound, an ear splitting, if slightly muffled, shriek coming from the green haired boy as he began to thrash.

"Hold him down!" Aizawa ordered Mina and Ojiro as burgundy liquid mixed with black fibers began to pour past Ochako and towards where Thirteen was driving. After a second and a hurried apology to Midoriya, Mina did what she was told, Ojiro joining her on the other shoulder, "Hold on, Kid. You're doing great, just a little bit more!"

This was doing great? What was doing badly, standing up and running away from the liquid?

Finally, Aizawa stopped cleaning the wound, grabbed some bandages from the box, beginning to wrap them around the wound, quiet words of encouragement coming from him as did so. Midoriya stopped thrashing, eyes closed as he panted, sweat pouring down his face.

"Just a bit longer," Ochako said, "just a bit longer."

Izuku mumbled something into the gag, before saying it again once the piece of rubber had been taken out, "I'm too stubborn to die this easily, you know that Ochako."

Easily? he looked like he was gonna bleed out on the floor!

"Shuzenji is waiting for us just up ahead," Thirteen called, "She has a blood bag for Midoriya!"

"Good," Aizawa said, gripping the students shoulders in turn, "You all did great."

— X Shoto X—

Shoto growled as he sent a wave of ice at a villain, freezing him to the ground but knowing it wouldn't actually do much for long. It wasn't hard to figure that out, since they were in the conflagration zone. And freezing the entire zone was out if he didn't want to black out from frost fatigue, it was far, far too big for that.

Shoto continued to make his way through the large chunk of a fake city currently swallowed by flames, listening for anyone else who had been dropped in the area or who had broken free of his ice behind him. He had to be close to the exit by now, right?

Something large flew over the glass ceiling, causing a shadow to fall over the few parts of the zone not lit by flames. What the hell was going on out there to cause the earthquakes? None of the villains had seemed that big.

Turning down another street, he had just enough time to see Jiro, sweat pouring down her face, slam a metal rod into the side of a villain's jaw with a crack. Behind her, back pressed against Jiro's, stood Yaoyorozu with a blunted sword in her hand. A villain rushed at her with a fist of flames, slowed when Shoto sent a wave of melting ice at him. It crawled up his side and stopped at his fist, ice immediately sublimating when it hit the flame. Like he was fighting the Bastard.

It was just long enough for Yaoyorozu to rush into his guard and deliver a heavy slash to his gut. The flames cut out as he doubled over, letting Yaoyorozu smash him into the ground. Yaoyorozu and Jiro looked over at him with their guard's raised, dropping them slightly when they realized who it was.

"Todoroki!" Momo called, pushing her sweat slicked hair out of her face. Yeah, if he could thank the Bastard for one thing, it was that he wasn't feeling the effects of the heat like they were, "Are you- look out!"

Shoto turned in time to see a villain with flames coiling around his body rush him, Moving his foot to freeze them to the ground. Jiro gaped at him. His mother's quirk was powerfu-

"Have you been using ice in the fire zone, dumbass?"

What.

"I don't use my fire in combat -"

"So in a life or death situation, you decided to handicap yourself," Jiro snapped, slamming ehr pole into the side of the villain's head, "Thanks, that makes me really confident in having you around."

"I don't need his fire!"

"'His', who the hell is 'He'?" Jiro snapped, before looking down the street, "Yaomomo, get ready, we've got a bunch of villains coming because this idiot didn't bother to knock them out or anything."

Before Shoto could protest being called a idiot, or stop the villains, the glass above them shattered and a giant black and gold dragon slammed into the ground above them, sending broken buildings flying everywhere.

— X Toshinori X—

Toshinori dodged the eruption of lava below him as he scanned the dragon for weak spots. Zenos, they had recruited Zenos Galvus for this job. Probably, he thought grimly, by promising him a fight with All Might. If he hadn't been at UA, young Midoriya's life wouldn't be…

No, if Zenos the Hunter was looking for him, this fight would have happened sooner or later. It was just a question of when and where. How many people would be endangered by the international Hero Killer's mad actions. He would have to trust his students to survive their trials while he fought Zenos.

Still this dragon was… an explanation for why so many Number Ones across the globe had fallen to him. It was tough and strong, that wasn't a question. He was going all out, and Zenos wasn't showing any sign of slowing down. And Toshinori, no All Might, didn't have much left in the tank. He had already exhausted himself too much before coming to the USJ. Zenos climbed out of the conflagration zone after a couple of tries, stretching his wings out, taking off in the sky of the USJ and gliding around it, around him with slow, lazy sweeps of his wings. Toshinori hissed in a breath, closing his eyes.

"You're getting weaker, All Might," Zenos… observed? Taunted? What was he trying to do? "Why are you getting weaker?"

Observing, definitely observing.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Toshinori scoffed, lowering himself so he could bound across the USJ and land on Zenos's golden chest, gripping it with his left hand. Tapping as deep into the still boundless reservoir of One for All as he could, Toshinori launched a storm of punches into Zenos's chest, sending him slowly backwards despite the forward thrust of his wings, "I've barely gotten started!"

Scales cracked under the force of each punch, only for Zenos to suddenly slide into a barrel roll and try to force Toshinori off of him. Toshinori Just waited until they were upside down, then punched them both into the ground with all the force he could muster.

The dragon shrunk then, scales vanishing under Toshinori before the chest retracted into the head which shrunk into a blond haired man in nothing. He stood up, eyes scanning the USJ, "Now, where did I drop my swords?"

"What do you think you're doing, Zenos!?" The blue haired young man with him would have been screaming if his voice wasn't so hoarse.

"I don't need the form of the dragon to defeat All Might now," Zenos drawled, "that much is clear. He's weak enough that I can-"

Toshinori surged forwards and into the naked man's guard, swinging a fist for his gut only for Zenos to flow around it. Toshinori followed it up, and this time he managed to Smash Zenos across the USJ… right next to his swords.

"My allies will be here any moment," All Might said confidently, stepping towards them as Zenos grabbed the three sheathed blades, "this is your one warning, surrender or we'll have to do this the hard way."

"If you hadn't killed Nomu," the blue haired teen started, only for Zenos to scoff.

"I agreed to help you in return for my hunt," Zenos drawled, "I said nothing about taking assistance in that hunt."

"But now it's game over, you don't get your precious hunt and I don't get to kill All Might, you team killing-"

"Then the hunt will continue some other day if I don't kill All Might here, but do not presume that I would ever forgive you if my kill was taken from me by-" Zenos drew a sword, forcing Toshinori to pull back a punch if he didn't want to get maimed, "Come then, All Might. If you manage to survive until your allies come, I will leave until you and the boy are recovered."
