Chapter 31 – Pure Evil

OoO

Another two weeks has passed. They haven't met up with Sirius and Remus again, but they did go over to Barty and Evan's place. She still wrote to Sirius every night; he was a bit miffed at first because she went to Barty. Even though he didn't mention it, she could tell by his short answers. And the other thing that took her by surprise was that every time he wrote in the book, she was starting to sense his emotions. Probably a side effect from claiming the books. Sirius words still echoed in her head. I love you. I love you. I love you. He already told her but still, it made her whole body warm up. The way he said it, soft and sincere, full of worry. She knew she liked him more than anyone else, she has never felt like this with anyone. But was it love? She didn't know, it may be the trust part that was causing her to doubt her feelings. She needed more time to figure it out, but she knew Sirius would never push her. She wanted to see him again, she wanted to kiss him.

She was now sitting in the study next to Reggie at the piano. She closed her eyes as the music filled her ears. This was a nice distraction for her turmoil of emotions. Then she recognised the melody.

"Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings; Of the bluebird as she sings; The six o'clock alarm would never ring; But it rings, and I rise; Wipe the sleep out of my eyes; My shaving razor's cold and it stings
Cheer up, sleepy Jean; Oh, what can it mean
To a daydream believer; And a homecoming queen."

"Wow, you really can sing. I can't believe I didn't know." Regulus gasped as he continued playing. Her lips twitched up as she swayed on the music.

"Sing with me, Reg."

And he did. Regulus was a great singer himself, and the rest of the afternoon they laughed and sang together to the best and the worst songs they could think of. It was fun and light, and they forgot about everything for a while.

Orion and Walburga had been acting stranger lately. They were home more often, writing letters and locked up in the library. She had seen Walburga snap and kick Kreacher, she even threatened Reg once when she didn't think she would hear it. Regulus had been quiet for the rest of the night. It seemed like the facade was falling on the Blacks.

"Reg, are you sure this is a good idea?" Izzie asked nervously as they used the floo to go to Barty's house. "If you parents find out... School is in a few days, we can wait."

"I don't want to wait. And how do you think they will find out? They think we'll be at Barty's." He said stepping in the fireplace. Izzie followed him in and they floo'd over to the Barty's.

"Fine but no longer than two hours, promise?"

"I promise." They stepped out of Barty's fireplace. The house was dark and empty, seeing that Barty's parents were at work and Barty was over at Evans. "The clock is ticking."

"Right, right, don't get all huffy with me, young man."

He scowled at her, making her laugh. Her laugh boomed through the empty house. It felt earie being here without Barty. She quickly looped her arm through his and apparated them to a muggle park outside of London. Remus and Sirius were waiting inside a hidden pergola in the park. Regulus was starting to move towards Remus, like a magnet. But she wanted to have her fun too, she ran up to the pair, who turned as they heard footsteps come closer. She made it look like she was going to fling herself at Sirius, but beelined at the last second to crash into Remus.

"Hello, love." Remus laughed kissing the top of her head. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just wanted to rile up the Black brothers." She grinned as she stepped back.

"It worked." Remus grinned and nudged his head to the brothers. They were standing there, arms crossed and with the exact same scowl on their faces. "Come here, I missed you." Remus tried to coax his boyfriend closer, but he huffed and looked away.

"You always pick Isabelle over me."

"Wouldn't you do the same?" He raised an eyebrow. "She's irreplaceable."

"Yes, I would." He relented. "Now, let's go before I snog you in front of Sirius. And he's a bit whiny about it."

"Am not!"

"Are to." The others chimed. Izzie grinned at Remus and Reggie. "Go, just be back here in two hours."

They promised to be back in time before they disappeared behind the trees. She turned back to Sirius, who was still scowling. "What's that face for?" She stepped closer and let her finger slide over his signature scowl.

"Still not used to seeing them together."

"Maybe you should focus your attention on something else."

"Hm, like what?" He turned to her, placing his hands on her hips. He slowly pushed her back until she bumped against the pergola. He resisted kissing her then and there as he saw how she bit her lower lip. "I've missed you." He let his head fall in the crook of her neck, placing a soft kiss there. "I want to kiss you so badly.

She gripped his waist tight before pulling back, she wanted to kiss him too, but still something held her back. "I'm sorry, this isn't fair to you."

"It's okay. I said you could choose the pace of our relationship."

"Yeah, but I don't need to make it harder on you. Or make you hard." She laughed as she felt his arousal through his pants. He groaned again and let his head fall in the crook of her neck.

"This is embarrassing." He mumbled.

"I don't mind, I like that I know I have that effect on you." She looked up at him as she bit her lip. Then she pushed him back. "But let's keep it PG13, let's go to animal farm."

"The animal farm? Do you think Remus and Reggie are doing that?" He asked as he followed her through the park, their fingers intertwined.

"Uhm, no. I think they are doing... other stuff."

Sirius stopped walking and she nearly fell backwards from the sudden stop. "No." He shook his head. "My little brother isn't doing – that!"

"Doing what?"

"You know what." He growled.

"Not this again." She rolled her eyes with a grin. "Your brother isn't a little kid anymore, Sirius. When was the first time you had sex?"

"That - that's not the point."

She sighed and stood in front of him, letting her hands roam over his shoulders. "Do you want me to distract you again?"

"No." He chuckled. "Just show me the goats and the bunnies."

"Alright." She grazed his cheek with her lips before pulling back. "Let's go." She tugged his arm, and he followed her willingly.

Two hours later, they were back in the pergola. Remus was still trying to get his hair in order, while Regulus looked like his regal self, not a hair out of place. She was tucked into Sirius side but when it was time to go, Regulus pulled her from his brother with an elegant twirl. What they didn't know was that they were being watched and this outing would cost them greatly.

When they arrived back at grimmauld place, the room was dark and seemingly empty. Izzie frowned as she felt Reggie stiffen next to her, the next moment they were both bound, and their legs gave out when a stinging hex hit the hollow of their knees. They fell to the ground with a loud thud.

"We welcomed you in our home." Walburga's voice sneered before she came into view. "And you repay that with consorting with my other son." She spat.

"You disgraced us." Orion charged forward and punched her on the face.

"Leave her alone!" Regulus screamed.

"You! You are as bad as your brother! We had high hopes for you, but you still followed in his footsteps." Orion's voice thundered in the room. "We will not let another child of ours ruining our name." His hand went in the air again. The sound it made when it hit Regulus face made her sick.

"Don't touch him!" She growled and tried to move in front of him.

"Or what?" Orion kneeled before her and lifted her chin roughly. "Would you like for me to call for your father or rather your uncle."

"Fuck off!" She snapped at his fingers.

"Feisty! Now we see the real Isabelle Miller. Your father had warned us before you came over this summer, we were just waiting for the moment you slipped up. But to our surprise, you involved Regulus in your web of lies."

"LEAVE HER ALONE! Leave her alone or I won't go through with the marriage."

"Oh, but you will." Walburga sneered again. "And sooner than you think. We found a way to bypass that you're not off age. So, you will marry her, or we will kill her."

"Crucio!" Orion pointed his wand at Izzie, and she screamed, falling forward as her body writhed on the floor.

"ISABELLE!" Regulus screamed, but her screams overshadowed his voice, her screams echoed through the house. His father lifted the curse. "I-

"No, don't, Reggie."

"Crucio!" Again, her screams filled the air.

"I will do it, please stop, I will marry her." He tried to shout through her screams.

"And what about you?" Walburga pulled her hair back painfully. "You will marry our son or both Regulus and Sirius will pay the price.

"No! No, I'll marry him. Don't hurt him." She said quickly between breaths, Regulus had paled when they threatened Sirius.

"Oh, but he needs to learn his lesson." Orion's grin was made of pure evil. He twisted his wand and muttered a spell, she never heard off. Regulus body began to twist and turn in all the ways that wasn't natural. He tried to hold back his screams, but after his knee came out of its socket, his screams filled the air.

"STOP! STOP! Stop, or I swear I will kill you both!"

"She seems to care for Regulus, doesn't she?" Walburga's voice was laced with venom as Orion stopped the curse. "Too bad, his interests will never meet hers."

Izzie knew what they meant, and when she turned to look at Regulus, she saw he knew too. His face was blank, but his jaw was clenched.

"Oh, we've known for ages, boy." Walburga twisted her wand, making him double over. "We've been trying to knock it out of you for years. And now you will marry this traitor as a punishment."

Orion and Walburga both raised their wands, and aimed them on their heads. They both felt intense pain before everything turned black.

OoO

It felt like she was floating a place between life and death. She was in a dark place, all around her was nothing but black.

"REGGIE!" She screamed but she got no answer. "REGGIE, please answer me!"

Then she woke up with a jolt. Her whole body ached, and she was still bound. Her wand was gone, she knew she could break out of the bound, but she couldn't risk Reggie to get hurt, not more than he already was. Regulus was kneeled next to her, his head bobbing to the side.

"Reggie." She nudged her shoulder to his. "Reg, wake up."

His head snapped up and he hissed from the pain. "Isabelle."

"I'm here. Where is here?" She asked as she looked around but again the room was dark.

"I think we're in the basement." He frowned. They glanced around and saw that there was a small alter in front of them. Two black candles were burning, the large one in the middle wasn't lit. "They are marrying us tonight. Can – can you check my wrist, it stings."

Izzie leaned back and saw blood trickle down his bare wrist. "You are cut, you're still bleeding."

"They needed my blood for the wedding ceremony, I'm sure of it, since I'm not off age."

"They did find a way." Izzie gasped. "I'm so sorry, I thought we had time."

"Stop whining, little girl." Izzie froze when she heard her father's voice. Regulus moved closer to her, or at least tried to. Her father walked over to her, he held her chin between two fingers and tilted her head. "A shame, a nasty bruise on such a pretty face."

"Don't touch her!" Regulus snapped.

"Oh, my soon-to-be son in law, you seem to be pretty beaten up too. Such a shame to start your marriage this way." He tutted as the door opened again. Orion, Walburga and her uncle walked in. Reg's parents didn't say anything as they took a place behind the alter in front of them. Her uncle kneeled next to Regulus.

"I'm reluctant to give you to this joke of a boy." He slapped his face. "I wanted you to be mine, but it seems it wasn't in the cards for us, love." He reached over to caress her cheek.

"Don't you fucking touch her, you rapist!"

"Rapist?" He truly looked shocked. "I didn't rape her, she wanted it. She wanted me, isn't that right, love?"

She spit in his face. "You will regret everything you did to me."

Her father and her uncle laughed, their voices echoing through the basement. Regulus looked at his parents, hoping to see regret or doubt in their eyes. He had always thought they could be redeemed but now he knew better. He just wished he knew sooner.

"Let's not waste any time, it's nearly midnight." Orion's icy voice filled the air. Her father and her uncle stood up and she saw the reflection of a knife in each hand. "Do you, Regulus Arcturus Black, take Isabelle Sandy Miller as your wife, to take her, to love her." He said with an evil laugh. "To make her your own."

"I do." Reggie said through gritted teeth. He screamed from the sudden impact of a knife against his throat. Her uncle pushed him forward until he was bleeding over a ceramic bowl. Walburga nor Orion paused to look at their bleeding son.

"Do you, Isabelle Sandy Miller, take our son, Regulus Arcturus Black as your husband, to take him, to love him, to make him your own." Walburga said with her own vicious voice.

"I do."

She knew what was coming but still cried out when her father cut her throat, he pushed her roughly forward and she bled into the same bowl as Regulus. Then Regulus parents, her father and uncle all spoke together, all with a malicious grin on their faces.

"Convenite, conveniunt. Tenetur vitae sint. Hoc matrimonium in thalamo cubiculi solidare necesse erit, vel citius finem habebis, quam postea."

"Say: Facio." Orion ordered.

"Facio." They said in unison. The candle in the middle burned bright, the light illuminated the walls, the walls were covered in runes. This isn't good.

"We pronounce you husband and wife." Their bounds were released, and they fell forward, breathing heavily. There was dark magic at play, really dark magic. Regulus clutched her hand in his, but his face was stone hard as he looked at his parents. "We confiscated your wands. You are not allowed out of this house, no, you're not allowed out of your room. Now that you are married, Isabelle can sleep in your room. You will be confined to one room, Kreacher will bring you food."

"I suggest you consummate your marriage as soon as possible. How disappointing it may be." Orion laughed as they all walked out of the room.

Reggie and Izzie fell into each other's arms as they cried. "Are you okay?" They asked in unison.

"Let me heal you." Izzie whispered as she pulled back.

"You don't have your wand." He whispered, holding his sleeve against her cut.

She let her finger graze of the cut on his wrist. It stopped bleeding but it didn't heal completely. "I'm sorry, my magic is drained."

"Then stop." He pushed her hand away when she reached for his neck.

"I won't let you bleed to death, Reggie." She dodged his hand and quickly healed the cut as best as she could. Then she wiped her own neck as Regulus pulled his bloodied sleeve back. Her magic was gone, and she fell forward, Regulus caught her just in time as she fell unconscious.

"KREACHER!" A loud crack and the house elf appeared. The elf didn't dare to look at them, his eyes were cast down. But he couldn't care less now, he needed to get her to bed. "Bring us to my room, now!"
