All day during Wednesday, Izuku was distracted. Distracted by the simple fact that he was going to meet Nejire again tomorrow.

Yesterday's tutoring session was still fresh. The memory of being so close to Nejire kept replaying in his mind even throughout his hero training class. It got so bad to the point he ended up falling flat on his face in the middle of one of the exercises. But eventually, Thursday came rolling around.

Izuku closed his notebook and slid it into his backpack. Stifling a yawn, Izuku followed his friends down to the cafeteria. Once he got his lunch, he would make his way back to Class 1-A, since he didn't want a repeat of Tuesday with Kaminari.

Suddenly, Uraraka popped into his vision, warping Izuku back into reality. "Hey, Deku! Are you having your tutoring session today?"

"Oh, hi! Yeah, I am!"

"Then what are you doing down here? Shouldn't you be up in Class 1-A?"

"Oh, that. I still have to get my lunch and go back up. Don't want to study on an empty stomach!"

"Oh, yeah! That's right!" Kirishima exclaimed. "You have a tutor! How's that going for you, Midoriya? Are they good at teaching? And I heard it's Nejire Hado, our third-year senpai! Man, I'm so moved by her manly spirit to teach someone even though the schedule of a third-year is jam-packed with time-consuming school work!"

"Yeah, how goes it?" Mina asked as a few more of his classmates stopped by when they heard her and Kirishima's question.

"Wow, you guys really want to know?" Izuku asked, and the only answer he got was nodding heads. "Oh, what did I expect… Well, since I only experienced one tutoring session with her, it's hard to judge if she's actually good or not. But she seems ready to teach me. And she seems to know more about English than me so that's a positive."

"Sounds like she's willing to teach, but thinking back on when we first met her, she seemed like a total airhead. Is she even qualified to teach any of us? She seems to be the one more willing to learn than be the one teaching since, you know, she used to ask a million questions." Sero speculated.

"I mean..." Izuku couldn't help but agree with what Sero said. How did Aizawa agree to let her become a tutor? Surely he asked around for more volunteers than just Nejire. Maybe it really was as she said. No one was willing to teach him, so she was the last resort to help him out.

"Wait, and hold up!" Mina suddenly shouted, grabbing everyone's attention. "Are you developing a lovey-dovey relationship with our senpai, Nejire Hado? If you are, I think you'll both look so cute together! I can already imagine it!" Mina put her arms over her chest and squirmed in excitement.

Izuku glanced around at his classmates and to his surprise, they were all taking Mina's question seriously. "What? No. No! We're not in a relationship! I swear! I don't know what made you think that, Mina!"

"Are you sure about that? Because you guys have a ton of chances to be dating without us knowing! Oh, I can just imagine you guys doing cute stuff together!" Mina squealed as she imagined whatever cute romantic scenes she was thinking about. "I bet you'll do something so romantic that'll make her fall head over heels for you!"

"M-Mina, please stop! You're embarrassing me!" Izuku pleaded, but it got worse. His other classmates joined the teasing fest.

Kaminari appeared in front of Izuku with a lunch tray and plopped it down on Izuku's open hands. "Here's your lunch, Izuku! I got you covered!"

"Good luck swooning Nejire's heart over!" Mina called out over her shoulder.

"You got this, Izuku!" Sero encouraged, following his friends into the cafeteria.

Izuku watched as his friends entered the lunchroom with a bleak frown. They were teasing him a second ago, but now they were cheering for him? What an odd thing for them to do. Izuku looked down at his katsudon and it stared back at him. "Now I'm scared to meet Nejire, but I still have to make my way over so I can get tutored..." Izuku muttered. Sometimes his classmates could be a nuisance and a thorn in the side.

"Scared to meet who?"

"Ah!" Izuku yelped, almost dropping his lunch on the floor. With a swift turn of his head, he saw Nejire standing right behind him. But she looked worried.

"Hey, hey! What are you doing here? Why were you taking so long to get lunch? I thought you got hurt or something!"

"Y-You did? Well, as you can see, I'm doing fine, so we can go back to Class 1-A and continue our tutoring session for today!" Izuku squeaked hurriedly.

Nejire blinked a few times. It looked like his answer did nothing to soothe her worries. "Are you sure about that? I think I already made it transparent that you can tell me anything you want during our first tutoring session."

"It's nothing! Really!"

Nejire stuck her lower lip out but gave in to his unchanging answer. "You're a stubborn person, but I'll let your lie slide this time. But I'm probably going to say this a few more times as long as I'm your tutor: if you ever need help with anything, I'm here for you, okay?

"Yup, I won't hesitate!"

"Yay! With that out of the way, let's get this tutoring session underway!" Nejire led the way back to his classroom.

When they made it back, Nejire slid the doors to Class 1-A open and sat down on the desk right next to Izuku's. She patted the seat next to her with a charming smile. "Come, come, student! I have a lot to teach you!"

"I'm coming, so stop pestering me," Izuku responded as he weaved around the desks to make it to his desk.

"I'm not pestering you!" Nejire protested with a pout.

Trying his best not to laugh at her, Izuku put his lunch tray down on his desk and rummaged through his backpack, taking out his English worksheets from his last tutoring session. Half of them were due by the end of next week, so he had to put in a lot of effort in order to complete them on time. He needed more help than just two lunch tutoring sessions. Was it possible to ask for some extra lessons after she taught him today, like visiting her dorm room for an hour to learn more?

"So we need to continue prepositions, right? I don't remember much since we didn't get far last time, but we sure are going to cover a lot today! So let's get started!" Nejire moved the worksheet he had to fill out in front of him and smirked. "Since the front side is multiple-choice, it should be pretty easy. But the backside is going to be a teensy bit harder since you have to fill in the sentences with the prepositions that fit the sentences correctly."

"Right... That's probably what killed my grade since I didn't know what to fill the blank underlined section with."

"Exactly! But I'm here to revive your dying grade with a splash of proper education! I'm sure Present Mic digressed a lot during his lessons, making you guys lose focus, but that's why I love his teaching style! It made it easier for me to understand what he was teaching, but that's enough about me. I'll guide you along while you fill out the worksheet, so give it a shot with the knowledge you already contain inside that big brain of yours! I'll also give you some quick feedback that'll make prepositions much easier to understand!"

"Oh, okay. Here goes nothing..." Izuku picked up his pencil and, with a grim expression, began reading each question slowly.

Nejire read along with him and glanced at him a few times. It was obvious she knew the answer already, and that bothered Izuku a bit. He wished she could just give him all the answers.

"Is the first one in?" Izuku asked, unsure of himself.

"Hmm... I wonder."

Izuku frowned. That wasn't very helpful. She said she would guide him, but now she seemed to deny helping him.

"Well, let me help you with the first one, but you shouldn't rely on me for every single question. You're going to have to do this all on your own without my help for your test."

"I mean..." She was right. Was this why he failed the test last time?

"Okay, so for the first one, it says 'She sat _ the chair.' If you add in, then it sounds like she's trying to sit inside of an object, which is physically impossible. So use your brain. Which one sounds like the best option that would fit perfectly with the sentence, Izuku~?"

The way she sang his name sent shivers down his spine. He shouldn't be concentrating on that, but he couldn't help it.

"Uh..." Izuku reread the question over and over until the word 'on' stood out to him the most. "On?"

"Correct! You're a fast learner! Or maybe it's beginner's luck!"

"I sure hope it isn't luck because I need to complete about half of these worksheets by next week Saturday…"

"My, my. So impatient now, are we?"

"Er... I didn't mean to sound so impatient or mean, but you know…" With a sigh, Izuku sat back in his seat and fiddled around with his pencil. He knew she was right, but he couldn't shake the crippling feeling of being overwhelmed. It was easier when he just filled the underlined sections with random answers, but now that he had to actually get down and dirty to learn it, he was unmotivated. Why wasn't there a shortcut for learning difficult subjects in school?

"Hey, hey, don't get discouraged, Izuku. In fact, let's make this easier for you! I'll give you my phone number so you can contact me anytime you want!" Nejire handed Izuku his phone, and it made a plop sound as it slapped down on his open hands.

"Wait, but I'm not worthy enough to carry your phone number!"

With a snort, Nejire tapped his phone to emphasize her point. "Just make a new contact number so I can type it in."

"Ah, okay." Izuku unlocked his phone and created a new contact before handing it off to Nejire, who typed her phone number in. When he got his phone back, he gazed at Nejire's phone number in awe. It felt unreal. When was the last time someone so beautiful willingly gave her phone to him? Other than his classmates, which felt like it was more of a courtesy than friendliness.

Within a few minutes, after they finished their lunch, Izuku continued listening to her instructions and making strides with his lessons. But they got so carried away they didn't realize lunch had ended. It wasn't until Aizawa stepped inside the room did they realize it was time to wrap up Thursday's session. Luckily, they got started on the next assignment, which was an easier subject: nouns and verbs.

Standing up from her desk, Nejire flashed Izuku a smile and picked up her lunch tray. "Okay, today was successful! Just make sure you study these English grammar rules on your own time after school, and if you ever need help, you know who to text, your sensei Nejire Hado!"

At the front of the classroom, they heard Aizawa snicker when she said 'sensei Nejire Hado.'

"Sensei, that's mean to laugh!" Nejire whined as she pouted.

"Me laugh? I think you heard wrong. I was just coughing." Aizawa raised his hand to his mouth to prove he wasn't laughing, but with one look at her, he could tell she wasn't buying it. "But if you are done for today, I'd like to continue teaching my students. You guys only have a few seconds before they arrive so get moving."

"Yes, sensei!" Nejire looked back at Izuku and waved her hand. "See you on Saturday, Izuku!"

"Bye!" Izuku returned the wave and watched her exit Class 1-A.

But little did she know she was going to see him tomorrow. Not two days later.

If Izuku wanted to catch up with his classmates, he was going to have to put in more work than any of them. So he was going to ask for some extra tutoring sessions on Friday after school.
