I think I may as well do another seeing as I got some inspiration by doing a Yellowfang point of view!! I might do these separate one-shots randomly, or when I feel like it…though I would be up to doing requests for one of the characters from my Heart of Fire series, I'll even make it cannon!!!

Cinderpelt paced back and forth outside the medicine cat's den. The smoky-dark gray warrior couldn't help but be worried. Brambleclaw had just saved her life. A badger had attacked their patrol just prior, targeting Sorrelpaw as its victim, more than likely because the tortoiseshell-and-white apprentice was the youngest and smallest out of the group. Cinderpelt had sprung into action, attempting to drive the badger away by trying to get a good swipe at its small beady eyes with her claws.
However the warrior made a terrible mistake and fell just short of its shoulder. She had been knocked clean off her paws and was badly winded. Though it was nothing compared to the terror of having the badger round on her, it's snarling maw just a mere mouse-length from her own face, and Cinderpelt felt as though she was about to die. But then Brambleclaw, who had only been made a warrior a moon prior, had come to her rescue.
Brambleclaw had jumped and landed right on top of the badger. Sinking both his teeth and claws into its back, a few powerful blows to the head and the badger had lumbered off, roaring in defeat.
Brambleclaw however didn't go unscathed. The dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes had been thrown off the badgers back and had landed wrong. Now he couldn't stand on his left hind leg. The young warrior was currently being seen by Spottedleaf, just like Cinderpelt and Sorrelpaw had been.
Sorrelpaw had been treated for shock and was resting. Cinderpelt had been winded but the ache had gradually gone away by now. Brambleclaw though was the most concerning. His action though was one of the bravest things she had ever seen. Cinderpelt knew how talented Brambleclaw was, actually everyone did. Brambleclaw took after his father in skills such as fighting and was known to be the best fighter in ThunderClan.
Cinderpelt, up till that moment, never truly seen him in action before. Anyone can be good at fighting, but that protective instinct that he showed, that wasn't in every cat. He had been so selfless jumping in like that. Reckless…well Cinderpelt didn't have a leg to stand on about calling someone else reckless. And brave, very brave.
Cinderpelt almost jumped straight out of her fur when Spottedleaf appeared right before her. So lost in her pacing that she didn't realize that the medicine cat had already finished.
"You don't have to worry about your Clanmate, Cinderpelt." Spottedleaf meowed, "Brambleclaw will be fine. It's just a sprain."
Cinderpelt let out a sigh of relief. The smoky-dark gray warrior wouldn't know what to do if Brambleclaw had broken his leg. Especially since it would be because he was protecting her. But now she could sleep easy at night now without having to worry.
"Can I see him?" Cinderpelt asked hopefully.
Spottedleaf's whiskers twitched in amusement before nodding and stepping aside so that Cinderpelt may enter the medicine cat's den.
Inside Cinderpelt found Brambleclaw laying in a nest made of bracken. His hind leg was wrapped in cobwebs and tough grass. The dark brown tabby warrior appeared to be fine but Cinderpelt wouldn't be truly at ease until the younger warrior told her himself.
"Oh hey, Cinderpelt." Brambleclaw called, looking pleasantly surprised to see the older she-cat. "How are you feeling?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?." Cinderpelt remarked, happy to see that the younger warrior was at least in good spirits. "You took quite a heavy hit when you took on that badger."
"I know, pretty mouse-brained, am I right." Brambleclaw tried to joke, but Cinderpelt didn't know what came over her when she heard him talk down about his brave actions.
"No!" Cinderpelt blurted, almost defensive on his behalf. "What you did was brave and no cat could have done better. You saved the entire patrol. You saved Sorrelpaw, you saved me."
"Actually, you saved Sorrelpaw." Brambleclaw tried to play it off, but Cinderpelt didn't let him.
"But you still saved me and the rest of the patrol." Cinderpelt emphasized, staring at him earnestly.
Brambleclaw still looked taken aback but a pleased twitch of his whiskers gave away the pleasure he received from her praise. Cinderpelt's pelt prickled with satisfaction at getting such a reaction from him. What Brambleclaw had done was worthy of StarClan and therefore he should be praised for it.
"So you're not seriously hurt are you?" Cinderpelt decided to finally ask what she had wanted to know since coming to see the injured warrior. "Are you feeling okay?"
Brambleclaw looked down at his back leg, then glanced back up at Cinderpelt who was giving him a hard icy stare, Cinderpelt would know if he was lying.
"Spottedleaf says I have to stay off it for a few days, but I'll be fine in no time." It wasn't the response she wanted, it was very vague, but Cinderpelt could see that Brambleclaw wasn't going to say anymore on the matter. Cinderpelt now had seen him and found him to be in relatively good health, he was being seen too by Spottedleaf, he didn't need Cinderpelt breathing over his shoulder anymore, she should just go.
"We should go hunting when you're all healed." Cinderpelt suddenly exclaimed, "er…I mean…It would be fun to hunt together. Wouldn't it?" Cinderpelt jabbered away, not understanding why she suddenly felt reluctant to leave Brambleclaw's side. But seeing as Brambleclaw wasn't sending her away, she decided to stay.
Though they hardly spoke outside shared duties until now, it felt like Cinderpelt and Brambleclaw had a lot in common. They were both driven as warriors, both finding it thrilling when play fighting or during battle practice, they both loved a nice plump squirrel, they both hated patrolling around the Thunderpath, and then there were things they shared about themselves. Cinderpelt loved climbing trees, while Brambleclaw liked stalking through the foliage. Cinderpelt preferred the morning patrol while Brambleclaw preferred the evening patrol. Cinderpelt enjoyed spending time with her siblings, while Brambleclaw wanted to throw all his into the river. It was a real learning experience for Cinderpelt, and what she learned was more about Brambleclaw.
Though Brambleclaw was her Clanmate, it was only up till now that she realized she had never given him a second thought. Sure, he was Firestar's son, who had been her mentor. He was also Leafpool's older brother, who had been her former apprentice. Brambleclaw had been praised for his fighting abilities and was well respected. However she never truly got to know him and she found herself upset at all the time wasted on not becoming closer to the handsome dark brown tabby warrior.
"--then Leafpool got distracted and ended up right in the stream." Cinderpelt and Brambleclaw shared a murmur of amusement as Cinderpelt recited the days of being a mentor to Leafpool. The tabby she-cat had been a fairly decent apprentice, they both worked well together and Cinderpelt greatly enjoyed mentoring her apprentice, though when it came to distractions it was always when Thornclaw was around. "I have never seen her look so embarrassed before."
"Leafpool and Thornclaw should just get together already." Brambleclaw said dryly, rolling his eyes. "Everyone but themselves can see how much in love they are."
Cinderpelt nodded in agreement. "They really should."
"Will you take on a mate?" Brambleclaw asked, sounding very curious. His amber eyes searching within Cinderpelt's. "Since we're both on the topic of mates."
This time it was Cinderpelt who was taken aback. The smoky-dark gray she-cat had never really thought about taking a mate, and she told Brambleclaw exactly that. There was a small stretch of silence between them then after that, it wasn't awkward, but there was a bit of tension that wasn't there before. But not the bad sort of tension, just one of anxious anticipation of something.
Before Cinderpelt could come up with anything else to say, a rustling from the fern tunnel revealed a worried Mothwing who zeroed in on her oldest brother.
"I just heard what happened!" Mothwing gasped, racing towards Brambleclaw's temporary nest in order to check him over. "They said you got hurt when your patrol was attacked by a badger. Will you be alright?"
Cinderpelt was pushed aside by the beautiful golden dappled tabby medicine cat. The intimate moment that was between herself and Brambleclaw now broken. Cinderpelt briefly caught Brambleclaw's eye before the dark brown tabby tom was once again distracted by his sibling.
Now she felt like it was time for her to leave. Cinderpelt rose and without saying goodbye to either sibling, the older warrior made her way out through the fern tunnel. But in her mind, her thoughts were filled with the conversation with Brambleclaw back in the medicine cat's den.

Be sure to ask for any character requests. Who do you want to see next have a one-shot?
Fun fact:
This one-shot was to explain the moment in which Cinderpelt began developing feelings for Brambleclaw. (Seeing as Shadows of the Past! From Tigerclaw's point of view you won't see the part where Brambleclaw saves the patrol from a badger that he and Cinderpelt were both on.)
Brambleclaw had a crush on Cinderpelt way before now.
Cinderpelt, though older than Brambleclaw, is much shorter than him. Like, she's half his size!
