Izuku sat at his desk, watching his friends file out of the classroom to go get lunch. Today he just didn't feel like moving, and all the extra information he learned today wasn't helping his situation from all the studying he did yesterday. If only it was a Sunday, a day where everyone rested. As Izuku looked around, he saw Kaminari staring at him with a goofy expression. Pretending not to notice him, Izuku took his figure of speech assignments and his pencil out on his desk.

Izuku still had to get his lunch, but since he didn't feel like moving, he wanted to set everything up before going down. It would save some time so when Nejire arrived, they could start right away, provided she didn't barge in through the door right this moment.

"Izuku, my friend! How are your tutoring lessons with our senpai, Nejire Hado, so far?" Kaminari asked enthusiastically, a glimmer of glee dancing across his eyes.

"Uh, it's been good so far... Why?" Izuku tried reading the expression of his friend, but it was pointless as he continued.

"Just asking because I saw you guys walking to our Class 1-A dorm yesterday. So I was wondering what you two were doing together since, you know, I thought you were being taught only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays~." Kaminari looked down at him with a grin.

Izuku almost choked on air. He saw them do what? Walking to the dorm? Was Kaminari trying to stalk him? "Er… I thought you guys were eating dinner or something, not stalking my every move."

Kaminari threw back his head and laughed. "Don't worry, I'm not! I just noticed you guys together because I didn't feel like eating yesterday since my stomach was bothering me, but on the way up to my room, behold, I saw both of you walking together so peacefully! Like a lovey-dovey couple Mina mentioned before!"

Izuku felt the same electric buzz shooting through his body and it wasn't his quirk producing it, it was the butterflies in his stomach. "You say you weren't stalking us, but it feels like you unintentionally perform the actions…" Izuku muttered under his breath while his face reddened. Heck, even on the day when Aizawa first assigned Nejire as his tutor, Kaminari was flirting with Nejire. Wicked proof Kaminari was actually a stalker.

It was at this moment, Nejire burst through the door of Class 1-A. "Izuku! I'm here to tutor you~! And hi Kaminari...? What are you doing here?"

"Oh, hello~! I was just asking Izuku some questions, but I'll be taking my leave now! See you around!" As Kaminari exited the room, he winked at Izuku before closing the door.

Nejire glanced at Izuku and then at the door before placing down the two lunch trays she was carrying. "What was that about? And why is your face red?"

"It is? Well, it's nothing you have to worry about! Kaminari was teasing me about something, that's all!" Izuku responded, bringing up his hand to feel his cheeks burning. Why did Kaminari have to leave him alone with Nejire after dropping that information! Now that made him feel exposed!

Yet Izuku couldn't help but remember what Kaminari brought up with Mina's romantic comments. When Mina said she could imagine them doing cute romantic stuff together, he could also see it too as clear as day like maybe visiting a waterfall with her or going to the movies.

"Okay… Mind telling what he said to you?" Nejire asked with a grin as she moved one of the lunch trays over to Izuku's desk.

Looking down at the tray, he found the welcoming bowl of katsudon staring up at him. Trying to divert her attention to something else and for the sake of changing the subject quickly, Izuku asked, "Uh... Why did you get my food for me?" And thankfully, it worked.

Nejire perked upon hearing his question. "Oh, glad you noticed! I got you your favorite food because my teacher allowed me to leave class a few minutes early! This way we can save some time and get started right away!"

"I mean, we aren't really wasting time just because I go to grab my lunch, right?" Izuku asked, taking a small bite of his food with a spoon.

Bonking him on the head, Nejire gave him a playful glare. "A simple thank you would suffice, Izuku," Nejire replied, rolling her eyes.

Izuku let out a nervous laugh. What she said was true. "Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but since I'm thinking about coming over every day to your dorm room, I just didn't think it was necessary to care about it."

"Nah, I'm joking! I see your point! But I think you forgot to tell me what Kaminari said to make you blush." Nejire reminded with her arms propping her head up in a cute manner. "Did he flirt with you too?"

"Erm… Is this supposed to be a joke too?" Izuku asked, skepticism ringing through his voice.

"I don't know, you tell me. Are you dating him?" Nejire replied while sticking her tongue out. Her expression told Izuku it was all a joke, but he could detect a hint of curiosity in it.

"Wait, are you actually asking a legitimate question?" There was no way she thought that, did she? "Of course, I'm not dating Kaminari! That's just too wild of a conclusion to jump to, especially when you didn't know what he asked me!"

"That's why I'm asking you what he said, silly!" Nejire laughed and punched a flustered Izuku on the arm. "Maybe if you told me what he explicitly said, you could have avoided all this embarrassment!"

"He… He said we looked like… Uh, never mind. I think we should go back to learning because, you know… I need to get ready for the test soon." He needed to stop talking or else he was going to make it worse, but it seemed like he really got Nejire's attention with his excuse.

"Uh-huh, the more you conceal it, the more I want to know. I'm not going to continue tutoring you until you spill the beans."

Izuku groaned internally. He really dug his own grave.

Before Izuku knew it, they plowed through the days until next week arrived. The day of the test was upon him, but Izuku was unsure of it all. He needed a small pep talk from someone. Hopefully, Nejire prepared one.

As he made his way to the classroom, he couldn't help himself as he flipped through pages and pages of all the notes he took and all the worksheets he finished that got returned to him to brush up on the material before he crashed headfirst into the test.

Thankfully, Nejire had proposed some reasons to Aizawa to extend some of the due dates for poor Izuku, otherwise he might have been overworked. In the end, after a small debate, Aizawa reluctantly agreed to the extension of most of the assignments. The bleak schedule of studying and learning to death was looking more leisurely as Aizawa handed him a calendar he had forgotten to give him as a guideline on when things were due.

It was a good day to see stubborn Aizawa give into Nejire's proposal. But that still meant nothing if he couldn't pass the test. Maybe he could get Nejire to propose open book tests because it seemed like she knew how to break Aizawa's stubbornness with reason.

Izuku stopped right outside the classroom and took a deep breath to calm himself as he closed his eyes. When he opened them back up again, he suddenly met Nejire face-to-face. "Nejire? W-What are you doing here? You're not here to help me cheat, are you?"

"Of course not, you goofball! Just here to cheer you on before you take the test and wish you good luck because you'll need all the support you can get! So go get it, Izuku!" Nejire cheered him on with an overjoyed expression. "Also, if you were expecting a pep talk from me to help you out, I'm sorry I don't have one prepared since I'm not good at those. All you need to know is I taught you well. That's how you're going to pass the test!"

"Yeah, I really hope so. But can you offer Aizawa an awesome suggestion if he can make my tests open book?"

"Than what would you learn?"

"I'd learn how to flip through my notes and put down the correct answer."

Nejire smacked him on the back of his head, drawing out a small laugh from Izuku. "I did not spend all those hours teaching you just so you can open up your notes and breeze through your tests!"

"At least I tried."

Silence fell over their conversation as they stared at each other. Feeling slightly awkward, Izuku looked down at his feet. "So... What did you say to Aizawa sensei that made him change the due dates?"

"Oh, nothing~! I just used my cute looks to charm him, that's all! Nothing more, nothing less!"

"Well, as long as I don't have to suffer too much, I'm comfortable… Then I'll go take the test right now."

"Yup, goody lucky!" Nejire smiled at him and watched him enter the classroom. "Maybe I should buy him something when he passes the test…" Nejire muttered to herself.

As Izuku stepped inside the classroom, Aizawa looked up from his seat and stood up. He walked over to Izuku's seat and slapped down two double-sided sheets on his desk. "One hour max. Get started because it'll go by quickly. And no cheating because that'll give you an automatic zero."

"Got it, Aizawa sensei!" Izuku unzipped his backpack to take out his pencil.

Izuku raced through the questions he knew first until the only ones that remained were the difficult ones that needed more scrutinizing to understand what it was asking. Twirling the pencil around on his fingers, Izuku reread the same question over and over, trying his best to focus on the question instead of what he was going to do when he went home after the test. But as time ticked on, he answered the questions to the best of his knowledge. Only when the test was over would Izuku think of what he could've done better.

As he was walking back to his dorm, Nejire popped in front of his vision. "So how did it go?"

"Gah!" Izuku yelped in surprise as he fell on his behind. He really needed to pay attention to his surroundings. "Um… I think I passed?"

"You think? How about you did pass!" Nejire declared, landing right in front of Izuku, who had gotten back up, causing him to jump in surprise.

"You… You think?"

"Yup!" Nejire smiled, giving Izuku a sense of relief and security. "Now why don't I treat you to something delicious as a preemptive celebration!" She said, linking her arms around his to guide him along before shooting up through the air.

When they landed at their destination, Izuku regained his balance with wobbly legs. "Please don't do that again!"

Nejire smirked at him, unapologetic with her actions. "Better watch your back!"

Author's Note: What? Me not posting because work is interfering with my free time? Impossible.

Though on a serious note, my manager suddenly put me on morning shifts because we were missing people, so I was unprepared. Oh well, hopefully next chapter won't take as long!
