The rest of May was uneventful, Marinette and Adrien managed to spend more time together, despite that fact feeling almost impossible. Marinette managed to almost finish Alya's dress and she came by toward the end of the month for a fitting. The dress was gorgeous and Marinette only had a few small changes to make.

The pants of Nino's tuxedo were complete and she had just a little bit of stitching to do on the jacket before she could call him over for a fitting. She was excited for the summer months, but wanted to get as much done as possible as soon as possible because she knew she loved to be outside during the summer so she could look for design inspiration.

With the start of June came the start of Pride Month. Marinette wanted to celebrate with all of her friends who were out of the closet, but she didn't want to make Adrien feel uncomfortable. He had never officially come out to her and she didn't want to make him feel like she was pressuring him into telling her before he was ready.

"Kim and Max invited me to La Boite with them this Saturday and I told them I'd ask if you want to come with us," Adrien told Marinette when they were sitting on her couch in early June. Marinette had heard of La Boite in the past from some of the girls she knew from school. Apparently, it was a fun gay bar on the other side of the city.

She thought that it sounded like a good time. Plus, she might be able to play wingman for Adrien if she went, so she smiled enthusiastically. "That sounds like a lot of fun. I would love to go with you!" Marinette hadn't had any chances to go to a club in a while so she was excited to break out an outfit she hadn't gotten to wear recently.

Saturday rolled around quickly and Adrien was ready sooner than Marinette was. He arrived at her apartment in a dark green button down shirt and a pair of black slacks. His sleeves were rolled up to the elbow, just enough to expose his forearms. The top two buttons of the shirt were unbuttoned when he arrived at Marinette's apartment.

He knocked and she called out for him to come inside. He did and she asked him for help with her dress. He blushed a little bit at the concept of helping her with her dress, but he knew it happened, zippers could be finicky sometimes, so he went into the bedroom where he'd heard her voice coming from.

Marinette was wearing a red dress that had an a-line skirt that came to her mid-thigh. The top of the dress had a v cut neckline. The most interesting thing that he noticed about the dress was the fact that it tied in the back. The chord was already put through each of the loops attached to the back, but Marinette was struggling to tie the rest into a bow behind her back.

"Will you tie this for me," she asked, "I feel like I've been struggling with this knot for like 15 minutes." She held both ends in one hand and he smiled. He approached her and took an end in each of his hands. He tied them into a knot at the small of her back, and added a little bow with the remaining part of the chord.

He kissed her cheek softly and Marinette turned around to face him. "You look beautiful," he told her quietly, "I can't believe I'm going to be on the arm of the most gorgeous woman at the bar." He held her hand in his and a blush worked its way up her neck to her face in reaction to his compliments.

"Thank you, Adrien," she said barely louder than a whisper. "I can't believe I'm going to have the hottest eye candy on my arm tonight." She added a wink at the end of her statement and he let out a brief laugh. Marinette picked up her phone and a slim wallet and put them into the pockets of her dress that perfectly blended into the folds of the fabric.

Marinette sat down on her bed and picked up the shoes she had specifically chosen for that night. They were black wedge heels that were almost 10 cm tall. He was nervous that she would hurt herself if she wore them, but as much as she and their other friends mentioned her clumsiness, he hadn't seen it in person. Even if she was clumsy that night, Adrien was happy to help her stay on her feet. Or maybe, he could whisk her off of them later.

For the time, though, Marinette was happy to link her arm through his while he escorted her downstairs. When they got outside, Marinette first started walking towards where he usually parked his car out of habit, but instead he pulled out his phone to call a taxi. "We're going out, so I would rather take a taxi in case I decide to drink," he explained to her.

He gave her a hand to hold onto as she got in then he went around to the other side of the taxi. He gave the driver the address for the bar and spent almost the entire drive talking to Marinette. When they arrived in front of the bar, they could see a few of their friends sitting at one of the high tables out front. Adrien came around to her side of the car once again to escort her over to their friends. She looped her arm through his once again and they went over to the table. Their friends were sitting at a table with a bottle on it.

There was a container of ice with the bottle and a few unused glasses. "Le punch," Alya explained when Marinette approached them. She held up the glass and Marinette took a sip from Alya's straw. "One of the guys near the bar recommended it when we first got here." Marinette loved it. She couldn't taste any alcohol, but she could taste a mixture of pineapple and orange juice that was delicious.

"Do you want some," Kim offered, motioning toward a few of the remaining empty glasses, "I'm sticking with wine tonight." Marinette smiled and poured some of the punch into one of the glasses for herself. She added a straw and offered it to Adrien so that he could try it also. He also seemed to enjoy it. Marinette offered him a glass of his own, but he was fine sharing with her if she was comfortable with that and she agreed.

While they were standing at the table, Adrien kept a hand holding Marinette's waist, keeping her at his side while still giving her room to move. They had both been sipping out of the glass Alya had given them and Adrien refilled it when he noticed it was empty.

Marinette was affected by drinking more than he was and one thing he noticed quickly was the fact that she was being very affectionate. She was going over to each of the friends and telling them specifics about how great they were and how proud she was of each of them.

In addition to that, she also gave each of the members of their group a warning that she would only get more affectionate with time and that anyone who wasn't okay with that should tell her now, while she was still okay enough to make an effort to remember that. Most of them had experienced Marinette drinking before and knew about her affectionate nature. They were all okay with the possibility of getting hugged and possibly kissed on the face (not the lips).

She gave long, lingering hugs to everyone in the group and Adrien trailed behind her, wanting to make sure she wouldn't hurt herself because of her heels. She gave Alya a sloppy kiss on her cheek and Alya giggled at her best friend. Alya made a motion with her eyebrows toward Kim over the table that told him to go get water for their friend.

Kim returned a few minutes later with a glass of water in hand and Alya gave it to Marinette who jokingly pouted, then started to sip it. "Thank you, foxy lady," Marinette said to Alya which made everyone at the table laugh. Marinette finished most of the water in her hand before she placed it onto the table.

She felt Adrien's hand on her waist and now that she turned to face him. "Will you dance with me," she asked over the sound of the music that was playing inside, "they have a little dance floor inside." Her eyes were big and pleading. He wasn't much of a dancer, but he was afraid that she would go even if she didn't have someone to go with.

He agreed and let her lead him inside of the bar. They went through the building to the back where there was a dance floor, just as Marinette had said. They were playing some American pop songs and Marinette started dancing in front of him. The dancing wasn't inherently meant to be attractive, but he couldn't take his eyes off of his girlfriend.

He tried to match her dancing, but his dancing was extremely stiff and pretty awkward. Marinette seemed to be having fun, though, and that was what mattered more to him than whether he was embarrassing himself or not.

He kept a hand out in Marinette's direction, ready to move in to catch her if he needed to. Marinette didn't need it, though, she moved surprisingly gracefully and next thing he knew, Marinette was bringing over a guy to introduce him to Adrien. "This is Nathaniel," Marinette told Adrien excitedly, "we went to school together when we were younger."

Marinette knew that Nathaniel and Marc were on a break, so Marinette was trying to be a good wingwoman to Adrien by trying to introduce him to a guy she knew was nice and would be a loving boyfriend if Adrien wanted that.

Adrien and Nathaniel started talking, just going over basic information about themselves. Adrien mentioned that a lot of Marinette's school friends were also there and most of them were seated at the table outside. Nathaniel smiled. "You two seem happy together," Nathaniel told Adrien, who smiled brightly.

"Thank you, we are," Adrien responded. The two of them shook hands before Nathaniel made his way back over to Marinette.

"I'm going to head out, Mari," Nathaniel told her over the sound of the music. Marinette turned around to give him a long hug. She recommended that he stop by the table to talk to their friends from school, then he left. Marinette was still dancing and a man approached her out on the dance floor.

Adrien didn't get jealous easily, but he had been dating Marinette for three and a half months and the guy who was moving towards her didn't look eager to listen. Adrien stepped over to Marinette and placed his hand back around her waist, pulling himself to her side. "My prince," she called out excitedly when he approached.

He felt his heart flutter. She hadn't called him her prince since the event after the soccer match and he kind of missed it. He loved being her knight, but prince and princess just felt more committed than princess and knight.

"Princess," he greeted. He placed his hand on her cheek, brushing his thumb right under her eye. She reached up to hold the hand that was on her face and she looked up, making eye contact with him. She wanted to kiss him. She knew, in the back of her mind, that he wouldn't be interested, but she wanted to kiss him.

Maybe, if she just did it, she could blame it on the alcohol and he wouldn't hate her later. They were closer in height when she was wearing her heels and she barely had to rise up in order for her to be close enough to kiss him.

The kiss surprised him, but he was happy. He had been wanting to kiss her for so long and it was finally happening. She tasted like sugar and fruit and something else. Rum. She tasted like rum and he ended the kiss. She had been drinking and he didn't want her to be uncomfortable later when he knew he had to tell her they kissed.

They kept dancing after that and no one else tried to get between the two of them. Marinette almost tripped a short while later and Adrien led her off of the floor. They walked back out to where their friends were still at the table. When Marinette arrived, she drank another glass of water before her friends would let her have any more alcohol.

She was happy to drink more water and noticed that Nathaniel had already left. Granted, she didn't know if he even stopped by the table to say hi to them, but it was clear that setting him up with Adrien didn't work.

Marinette had some more of the punch and Adrien was feeling more protective over her as she had more to drink. He didn't want to risk letting anything bad happen to her. Kim and Nino stood from their seats to offer them to Marinette and Adrien. Marinette was happy to sit down, but she was almost wishing she could share a seat with Adrien instead.

The seats were moved right next to each other and Marinette was sandwiched between Adrien and Alya. She started by leaning on Alya and giving her best friend all of her affection, but she got distracted by Adrien's arm still around her waist.

She leaned into Adrien to steal his warmth instead after a short while and he was happy to provide as much warmth as he could. He kissed her hair as she leaned into him and she let out a soft, happy hum. She had enough that she was starting to get drowsy.

"Are you ready to go home, princess," he asked quietly. She nodded, face still nuzzling into him. He kissed the top of her hair and relayed that to the rest of the group, who were all planning to go home soon. Alya helped Marinette stand from her seat while Adrien pulled out her chair. He offered his arm and she took it.

It took Adrien almost no time to get a taxi for the two of them. He originally planned to take her up to her apartment, but he didn't know where she'd put her keys and he didn't think she would be particularly willing to find them in her current state. They arrived at the buildings and he brought her over to his apartment.

With the elevator, it was easy to get Marinette upstairs, but the easy movement of the elevator, combined with her standing still just made her sleepier. She was practically starting to fall asleep where they stood and he figured that wasn't ideal.

He grabbed his key from his pocket then lifted Marinette in a princess carry, bringing her to his front door. It was easy enough to open the door with her in his arms and she had fallen fully asleep in the short walk. He brought her over to his bed and laid her down.

He went over to his dresser and grabbed out two sets of pajamas, the green t-shirt and black pants that she'd told him were her favorite and a white striped t-shirt and black shorts for himself. He placed the offering onto the nightstand on the side Marinette was on in addition to a small bottle of painkillers and a cup of water.

He went into his bathroom to change into his pajamas. He brushed his teeth and washed his face. He returned to the bedroom where Marinette had barely moved and got in on his side of the bed. He was able to maneuver the blankets enough to cover her as they slept. He took off his glasses then turned off the last light.

"I think I'm in love with you," he heard Marinette mutter. Apparently, she wasn't as asleep as he thought she was. He kissed her forehead and smiled.

"I'm in love with you, too." That was how Marinette was certain she was already asleep. There was no chance that Adrien was in love with her, so if her unconscious was saying he was, she was clearly already asleep. She snuggled even closer into him and he held her just a little bit tighter.

Marinette woke up during the night and saw that Adrien had set aside the pajamas for her on the nightstand. She went into the bathroom and changed, then drank the full glass of water before going back to sleep. When Adrien woke up the next morning, he was happy to see that Marinette had changed at some point.

Adrien had woken up, naturally, at about 07h15 that morning and didn't expect Marinette to wake up for a while. Half of him wanted to stay in bed and continue getting snuggled by her, but he also knew Plagg was mewing to insist on needing Adrien's attention. Marinette wasn't holding him as tightly as she was the night before, so Adrien was able to slip out of her grip.

He fed Plagg and gave the cat some well deserved pets, a few head kisses, and carried him around while he made himself a cup of coffee. Once Plagg walked away from Adrien, he took that as a sign that the cat was finished getting love from him at that point.

Adrien went into his bedroom to find some clothing for the day. He planned to mostly have a lazy day at home, but he did know some things that would help make the lazy day just a little bit more enjoyable.

He put on an Ultimate Mecha Strike III t-shirt that was starting to fade with a pair of dark blue jeans. He refilled Marinette's water, then left a note with it saying he'll be back soon before he left to pick up breakfast. He drove across town to Tom and Sabine's.

"Good morning, son," Tom greeted, same as always. It brought a smile to Adrien's face and he felt his heart flutter at getting called son by the man in front of him. "That's a nice shirt. You know, our little girl's a pro at Mecha Strike." That wasn't something that Adrien knew and he wondered how it didn't come up.

"She never said anything," Adrien responded, smiling brightly at the new information. Maybe they could play the game on their next date night, but that wasn't the point right now. Her parents never mentioned that they knew he was dating Marinette, so he never brought it up. That wasn't something for Marinette to tell them, not him.

"Well, dear, what can we get for you this morning," Sabine asked as she walked out of the kitchen. Adrien looked between all of the options in the case, but chose the same type of pastries as usual. He ordered 2 croissants, 2 pains au chocolat, and 2 pains aux amandes. Sabine wrapped them up and they spoke a short while longer before he left.
