Marinette and Adrien both scheduled their respective bachelorette and bachelor parties for October 28, 2 weeks before Nino and Alya's wedding. Because of Halloween, several bars were offering deals for anyone who showed up in costume. Marinette offered to make a costume for each member of the wedding party, but the groom's party rejected the idea.

Marinette made a costume for each member of the bridal party. Alya asked for a fox costume and each of the twins asked for a costume based on the Sapotis, characters from a story they'd heard when they were children. Marinette managed to finish the costumes by the weekend before the party. She dropped off the twins' costumes at the apartment where they still lived with their parents, but Alya came over to Marinette's place on Monday.

Adrien stayed at his apartment while Alya was trying on her costume at Marinette's apartment. Alya put it on and then went into the living room to look at how it looked on her. Marinette grabbed a fabric pencil to make some edits onto the bodice of Alya's costume. She pinched the fabric, tightening it a little bit, and put a few pins into it to mark the change she had to make.

After the markings were finished, Alya tried on the reception jumpsuit and she loved it. Again, Alya went into the living room to look at her outfit. She turned around a few times, admiring the jumpsuit from each angle. The outfit fit Alya perfectly and Marinette was so excited. She held onto both outfits until at least after the Bachelorette, planning to send the jumpsuit home with her after the bachelorette party.

Marinette offered to make costumes for the boys as well, but Adrien said he'd already had a plan for the men's costumes. Marinette made a costume for herself, but didn't end up working on it in front of Adrien. He had seen an edge of the red fabric once, but he couldn't figure out what the costume was meant to be from that.

On that Saturday, Nino went over to Adrien's apartment and Marinette went over to Alya and Nino's. Both of them changed into their costumes for the bachelorette party. Alya was wearing an open-back orange romper with a pair of fox ears, a mask, and a fake tail. She had her hair pulled into a high ponytail.

Marinette was wearing a long sleeve romper that was primarily red. It was almost a second skin on her and just below her waist, the romper's red color was changed to black. The red parts of the romper had black polka dots while the black parts had red polka dots. Marinette was wearing a red mask and her hair was pulled into two pigtails.

Before they left, Marinette gave Alya a sash that read 'Foxy Bride' and Marinette put on her own that said 'Ladybug Of Honor.' The two girls linked arms and got into a taxi at the door to Alya's building.

The plan for that night was for Alya, Marinette, Ella, and Etta to go to four bars, finishing the night at La Boite. They had planned it like that so that they'd be less likely to be hit on as the night progressed. Marinette was going to stay sober for the evening, but there was only so much she could do to take care of 3 drunk girls.

They started the night at Café Oz where three of the girls partook in Happy Hour. There was also a group of women there who were celebrating the end of a bad relationship. The four strangers bought the bachelorette party a round of drinks and the bachelorette party bought the strangers a round in response.

Alya had been getting tipsy since they had first come out that night. They had been at Café Oz for almost an hour and they were ready to move on to the next bar. They shared goodbyes with the strangers they'd met and a few of them followed each other on Instagram as a way of keeping in contact.

The second bar that they went to was a Jazz bar, Le Baiser Salé, around the corner from Café Oz. Marinette chose this spot because she knew how much Alya liked music, but she also wanted to go early enough that the other girls wouldn't have to worry about accidentally causing a ruckus in the Jazz bar.

Marinette did well to have that bar be their second visit of the evening. After that, she took Alya, Ella, and Etta to the Labo Bar Club which was right across the street from Café Oz. The girls did some dancing there and Ella, dressed in a matching version of Etta's Sapotis costume, surprised everyone when she invited Manon to join them on the night out.

Etta and Manon ended up dancing together for most of the time that they were at Labo. It looked as though the two girls had been flirting all night and Marinette didn't know how to feel about the fact that Noël's date to Alya and Nino's wedding was flirting with someone else at the bachelorette party.

Alya did a little bit of dancing with strangers and Marinette kept an eye on her. There wasn't anything inherently flirty about Alya's dancing, so Marinette let Alya generally keep doing what she was doing. Ella was flirting with a guy on the dancefloor, but it wasn't particularly interesting.

After a while of the girls having fun, Ella came over to Marinette. They had been out for about 2 and a half hours and Alya had been drinking most of the time they'd been out. "Can we get going," Ella asked, "I got shot down." She kicked her foot gently against the floor and Marinette nodded.

"Do you want to grab Alya or Manon and Etta?" Ella went off in the direction of her twin and their friend. Marinette closed out their tab at the bar then went to find Alya. She wasn't surprised when she found Alya who had been essentially networking, trying to get an interview with the guy she had been talking to who was starting his own restaurant.

Marinette made sure that the man had a copy of Alya's business card so that they could email and set up an interview, but she could tell that Alya was drunk. Not make life-ruining decisions drunk, but drunk enough to have a headache in the morning. Alya said goodbye to the man she'd been talking to before the five girls left the bar.

Adrien didn't get out much. That shouldn't be a surprise. He did well with socializing, but he didn't have many chances because of the fact that he used to be recognized everywhere he went. That's why he was so happy that they decided to make the bachelor and bachelorette parties have matching superhero themes.

Nino was the first to show up at his apartment that night, but all four men were planning to come by to get ready for their night out, especially considering Adrien was providing their outfits for their night on the town.

When Nino arrived, Adrien was wearing a pair of black jeans with a black button-up that had the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He wore his contacts that day because he was worried that his glasses would interfere with his mask. He had two black cat ears clipped in his blond locks.

Nino's outfit was similar and included a pair of grey jeans and a green button-up and had a turtle shell embroidered on the back. He had also rolled up the sleeves to his elbows and his mask had built-in lenses because Adrien knew how much Nino hated wearing contacts after scratching his cornea the first time he tried them. As a turtle, Nino didn't get any ears to attach to his hair, though he did get to wear a grey and green ballcap with a turtle shell icon on the front.

Kim arrived next, with Max on his arm. Max had already been dressed in a pair of dark brown slacks with a lighter brown button-up. He had been wearing a pair of prescription glasses that gave off an optical illusion of being sunglasses even though they behaved like standard prescription glasses.

Kim's outfit was a pair of mid-tone brown slacks with a crimson red shirt. He had a tail he clipped onto the back of his pants. His mask didn't cause any issues with his vision and Max helped him tie it on. There were also two monkey ears that Max helped clip onto his partner's hair.

Noël was the last to show up at Adrien's apartment. Adrien had a pair of black jeans for him and a teal shirt. His mask was the same shade of teal as the shirt with a few spots that looked like they were put onto the mask with a can of spray paint and a stencil. The breast pocket of the button-up had a clock embroidered onto it.

Adrien had sashes made for the two of them. The one he'd gotten made for Nino (Carapace for the night) said 'Shellebrating my wedding.' Adrien's said 'Best Mewn' and Adrien really liked them. Nino was sad to inform Adrien that men didn't usually wear sashes for the bachelor party, but that didn't stop Adrien from taking them with him.

The five of them went to a jazz club, Le Duc des Lombards, as their first stop of the evening. Nino seemed to be enjoying himself, but he wasn't interested in drinking very much at that location because he didn't want anyone in the music scene to think poorly of him. He enjoyed the music while they were there, but they didn't stay too long.

The second bar that the men went to was Labo Bar Club. It was a nice enough place and Nino got to do more drinking than he had done at the jazz club they'd been at before. They had arrived just at the tail end of happy hour and got Nino as many drinks as they could in that time. It wasn't too many, but it gave him a light buzz.

As they walked over to El Hombre, just around the corner, Nino saw some orange out of the corner of his eye. The orange that he could see covered a very familiar person and a smile developed on Nino's face. "Alya," he sighed happily at the sight of his fiancée.

"That's right, mec! You're just two weeks away from marrying Alya," Adrien said excitedly, thinking that Nino had just been thinking about his fiancée, not realizing that he had just seen her walking into the bar that they were coming out of. Nino wanted to go back to her, but he knew his friends had plans and he didn't want to stand in the way.

At El Hombre, several of the people inside offered to buy the guys a round. Most of the drinks that were bought for the others ended up being given to Nino who was still lost in thought daydreaming about the glimpse of Alya's costume that he had managed to see earlier. They went to their final location after a few drinks.

They walked into La Boite after about 3 hours of being out and there were many people on the dance floor. There hadn't been many tables, but they didn't necessarily need one. Most of their party had been drinking plenty and Adrien expected at least a few of them to be on the dancefloor for most of their time there.

As expected, Max and Kim went out onto the dancefloor and began dancing with one another. Noël dragged his brother onto the dancefloor and challenged him to a dance-off, knowing how into dancing Nino got when he had been drinking. When he was left to his own devices, Adrien decided he should try to find a table, and he did.

Adrien was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar pair of red earrings on a girl in a mask and ladybug costume. He knew at a glance that it was Marinette. Same phone, same hand shape, same eye color. This was his girlfriend, undoubtedly. He looked over to the dancefloor where Alya had managed to get into the dance-off as Nino's partner. He couldn't help but smile.

"Hello, purrincess," he greeted from just half a meter away from her. She immediately thought the voice sounded familiar. It sounded like she'd heard the voice before, but the purr in the name made her unclear if it was the lull of Adrien's voice or the voice of M. Agreste. She looked up and saw a man in black cat ears and a black mask.

She recognized the eyes. This was definitely M. Agreste, not Adrien. "Salut, my prince," she greeted with a little wink. If he was out at the bars tonight, maybe he was in need of a fake girlfriend again and she had fun helping him last time, so she wouldn't mind. "Or, what's the costume?"

"Chat Noir," he responded with a smirk. He extended a hand to her.

"Ladybug," she introduced herself, putting her hand into his. He brought it to his lips and placed a soft kiss on the back. She giggled at the action. "Lovely to meet you, Chaton." She gestured, offering the seat at her table. He smiled brightly and accepted the seat she offered.

"Likewise, my lady," he said with a wink. Chat Noir excused himself a few times to take pictures of the people he was there with and Marinette excused herself a few times to take pictures of Alya and Nino who had managed to find each other while drunk at their bachelor and bachelorette parties.

She was surprised when she saw Nino, Kim, Noël, and even Max but no Adrien. She wondered if the best man couldn't come out and celebrate because he had another thing to do that night for work or something. She knew he was a busy guy, but it seemed like his schedule had allowed for a decent amount of free time recently.

She tried to keep her mind off of Adrien, keeping her attention focused on Chat Noir in front of her instead. She wished she had ever asked about M. Agreste's first name, she felt so strange about the idea of calling him M. Agreste in such a casual setting, but she didn't want to bring attention to it because they had been allegedly dating for 8 months at this point.

She elected to call him variations of Chat Noir that evening instead of admitting she didn't know his name. She knew it probably wasn't the right call in the long run, but she also didn't expect to be in such a casual setting with M. Agreste again anytime in the future.

The two of them talked for hours as their friends drank and danced. Ladybug and Chat Noir had been watching over their friends, but the most interesting thing that Marinette saw was the fact that despite Manon and Noël going to the wedding together, they had both been with other people on the dance floor. Manon was sharing soft kisses with Etta while Noël made out with a guy he'd been talking to since they arrived.

After a while, Alya and Nino came over to Ladybug and Chat Noir. "We're going to get out of here," Alya told Marinette and Adrien, lacing her fingers through her fiancé's. "It was a pleasure to fight crime with you two, Ladybug and Chat Noir." Marinette hugged her best friend who returned the hug happily.

"Always an honor to fight by your side, Rena Rouge," Chat Noir said, giving Alya a hug as well. "And you, Carapace." He gave his best friend a hug and Marinette was surprised to see that Alya and Nino seemed to know M. Agreste, more than Alya would know someone through an interview. How did it never come up before tonight?

"Get home safe," Nino told the two of them. He stepped in to give Marinette a hug as well and Alya and Nino left the bar to go home. Marinette couldn't help but watch how happy they were as they walked away, in the arms of their favorite people. Alya tilted her face up and Nino looked down, pecking her softly on the lips.

"I want that," Marinette exhaled as she watched her best friend go home with her fiancé. "Someone that I can love as much as Alya and Nino love each other… I mean, I guess I do have someone I can love that much, but I don't know if he feels the same about me. Sometimes he makes me think there's a chance, but I don't think there is." Marinette stirred the glass of soda in front of her with the straw.

Adrien wanted to tell her that he felt the same. That was the only idea in his head, just a desire to tell Marinette how much he cared about her and how much he loves her, but she was being more open and vulnerable about their relationship when talking to this mysterious Chat Noir, so he leaned into the suave, cool-guy persona.

"He probably feels the same about you," Adrien offered with a smile on his face. "Anyone would be out of their mind to reject a girl like you, Bugaboo. I'm sure that if you open your heart up to this person, they'll want to develop something more serious with you. What if they want to be loved by you and to love you just as much as you want to love them?"

Marinette sighed, trying to think of an answer to his question. She didn't have an answer so she just gave a small shrug as she considered her relationship with Adrien. She supposed there was a chance of Adrien developing feelings for her, no matter how low the chance was. She resolved to ask him about it as soon as she could.

'As soon as she could,' was not as soon as she wanted it to be. She tried to see him any time after the night she spent talking to M. Agreste, but apparently, the work Adrien had to do at the office was kicking his butt. He had been working late hours every day and Marinette felt bad, so she dropped off a tray of lasagna at his apartment one evening.

'I miss you. It's been a while since I've seen you, but I know you're busy. Bake 190C covered 30-40 mins, then uncovered 5-10 minutes. Love you, -Marinette' He thought that it was cute that the M in Marinette was drawn to look like a crown, matching her princess nickname. She texted him a similar message and he responded with several heart emojis.

She was hopeful that she would be able to talk to Adrien before the wedding, but as time went on she quickly became aware that she probably wouldn't be able to do that unless she settled for a rushed phone call and that was not something she was willing to do for this significant of a conversation.

She sent him occasional texts just to check in with him, but the texts were never more serious than making sure he was eating, staying hydrated, and taking care of Plagg. One night, when Adrien was particularly stressed, he called Marinette and she went over to his apartment to give him a hug she was certain he needed.

He accepted the hug, just relaxing into the feeling of being in her arms. She could tell he wasn't in a headspace to talk about something as serious as a relationship, so she didn't start the conversation. She did spend the night at his apartment, holding him while he slept before falling asleep herself.
