Gelato Island, West Blue
On the small, faraway island of Gelato located in the remote corner of the West Blue, stood a man of average stature, kicking the ground repeatedly on the top of a hill.
'Come on, Come on! I need to perform at least Soru correctly.' I thought as I got into position, and readied my feet. I kicked my feet rapidly and braced myself to take off, but I merely tripped and fell over.
"Damn it, I gotta do this correctly!" I yelled as I brushed myself off. I was annoyed with my results, and I started thinking about how I got into this situation.
I recently got isekai'd to the world of One Piece. It was ridiculous honestly, but it came with a little perk: The Menu. It essentially acted as a scanner, showing me a small description of anyone, and their stats. It didn't have quests or anything of that nature, but it did record my level of skill in an area, and my stats.
I had Vitality, Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Luck. The Classic SMT set up. During my time here, I've been trying to learn the Rokushiki, as I wasn't going anywhere without it.
To be honest, I was lucky I got plopped into one of the blues instead of the fucking New World or anywhere on the Grand Line. Shit could've gone south real quick. However, I'm not sure if it's pre-canon or canon, but that isn't important.
Anyways, I readied myself and got into position again. I rapidly kicked the ground and braced for impact. The world blurred around me as I shot off forward.
Ding!

Rokushiki Technique #1 of 6: Soru
Lv. (1/20)
"Yes! Got' Damn! I finally got it!" I yelled out for no one in particular to hear. I had finally got this technique down. I finally had one of the coveted Rokushiki. Now I had to level it up, to use it. Right now, I have a half-assed Soru like Nero from Water 7. Instead of blinding speed, it was just a really fast sprint.
I used Soru again, and I sprinted out of the woods. I weaved through the trees, bumping my shoulder against some bark, but nothing too bad.
I continued through the woods until I reached Spoon Village, the place I can call home. I'm currently residing in a basement from these bakers, as long as I help around the bakery. It was a fairly simple deal. I even got paid! Though it was a minuscule amount of Beri. However, I'm not complaining. Shelter, food, and water are shelter, food, and water.
I walked into town and strolled around. It was around sunset, and there was some activity. Some kids were playing with a ball, and some adults were walking and talking with other people. Spoon Village was honestly quiet and peaceful. No pirates were associated with the village, the village had some nice restaurants, and there was no marine activity. I got dropped at the perfect place.
I returned into the basement from the backside of the bakery and straight-up leaped onto the bed. The place was barren, but I had no previous possessions.
But now, it was time for me to think about what I wanted to do. I couldn't stay on this island forever, despite how nice it is. There was a huge-ass world to explore, and I wanted to see that. I wanted to be a bounty hunter, but at the same time, I wanted to start a crew, gain some Nakama, and sail the Grand Line. There were a lot of choices to make, but I could start by looking at myself.
"[Menu]," I whisper into the silent room.

Oh yeah, I forgot I called myself Paprika. I just like food-themed names. I looked at my stats, and the two skills I have. One was culinary skill, and the other one was the recently unlocked Soru. I had a long way to go before I even became a threat. Luffy one-shotted a Lord of the Coast as soon as he stepped off of Dawn Island, and here I am just unlocking a somewhat combat-related skill. But, I couldn't rush things, I just had to practice until I got it. I closed the menu, and then closed my eyes.
I was honest-to-god tired. I've been trying to unlock Soru all damn day, and my legs were worn out from all the kicking I was doing, and then from the Sorus, I used to get back to the village. I decided to hit the hay for the night and go to bed.
