Okay, the mini-theme here is much more obvious than the other two, if you know what I'm doing. But hey, if you don't know, you probably wouldn't realize it! Here's the third story of the month, Kaiamu! And Kairi's last name has a three in it too! Minna no Kokoro: UNLOCK!
"Okay, for your training, Amu. I think we might do a bit of marching" Kairi said. "Why?" cried Amu. "It's part of my gymnastics training for you. Helps you too keep in shape" said Kairi. "And why do I need to learn gymnastics?" Amu asked. "You need your flexibility to fight the X-Eggs." said Kairi, "And also, you're a cheerleader when you transform, so it will be perfect for you!" "Hey! I don't know much about cheerleading either!" "Amu..." Kairi shouted. She looked at him, then sighed. "Okay! Let's start." Kairi said, "Attention, march!" Kairi started banging a rhythm on a taiko drum that he took from the music room and Amu marched to the rhythm. "Now, Left Face Turn!" Amu turned left. "Right face turn!" Amu turned right. "Attention, halt!" Amu stopped. "You're doing great. But you need to focus on your rhythm." Kairi said. "And why do I need to work on my rhythm too?" "Your other Character Transform, Amulet Spade, is themed of art and music, so it's important to have good rhythm too" said Kairi, "Now, let's try that again. Attention, start!" They kept practicing starting, stopping, and turning until it was about 5pm. "That was great, Joker. Let's keep working tomorrow." Kairi said. They headed off home. But as he was walking, Kairi couldn't think about even through her strict movements, Amu showed grace in both style and rhythm. Kairi smiled.
At his apartment, he talked with his sister Yukari. "So, have you been doing your duties?" she asked. Kairi simply nodded. "Kairi, is there something you're not telling me?" she asked. "Huh? No." As much as Kairi loved her, Amu Hinamori was his enemy. But that didn't stop him. "I can't wait for our training tomorrow" Kairi thought. "Kairi, can you make us dinner?" Yukari asked. Kairi looked at her. "Okay..." He went on and started cooking dinner. As he lied down on bed, he couldn't stop thinking about Amu. The way she moved, the way she talked. Kairi tried to shake those thoughts off his head, but eventually gave up, and started to have dreams where he and Amu were married.
The next day, Amu ran up to Kairi. "Ah, Joker. You ready for your training this afternoon?" he asked her. "Oh, yeah!" said Amu, "Are we going to do more marching? I actually found that a bit fun." Kairi nodded. "And tomorrow, I'm going to set up a balance beam." "That sounds like fun, Chairman." Amu said, "I'll see you after school!" Amu said. They headed off to class. At the afternoon, Kairi got his taiko drum out again. "Are you ready, Amu?" Kairi asked. Amu nodded. "Ready as ever, Chairman!" he said. Kairi started his rhythm. "Attention, march!" Amu kept to Kairi's rhythm, while Kairi watched her perfect steps. "Left face, turn!" Amu turned as smoothly as possible to the left, and exactly 90 degrees left much to Kairi's satisfaction, and continued marching. And they did this all throughout the afternoon.
