The next stop ended up being a small cottage in Perthshire, Scotland.

Jemma already knew, having been the one to confirm Daisy's suspicions, and they felt bad leaving Fitz in the dark. Not to mention, Daisy wanted to spend as much time as possible with Coulson and May once she saw them and told them the news. So, with that in mind, they decided to visit the FitzSimmons family.

"Aunty Daisy!"

Daisy smiled widely and crouched down just in time for the little blonde girl to fly into her arms. Daisy scooped her up and spun her around, relishing in Alya's delighted shrieks.

"Hi sweet girl," Daisy said, hugging the four-year-old close, "How are you?"

"Good, mommy and daddy said you were in space!" Alya exclaimed.

"That's right, we were," Daisy smiled.

"Did you see lots of stars?" Alya asked excitedly, "And planets?"

"We did," Daisy nodded again, "And you know what? I know someone who is very excited to tell you all about it."
Alya looked where Daisy was pointing, and the little girl's face lit up once more.

"Uncle Daniel!" she shouted, scrambling to get down.

Daisy put the girl back on the ground and laughed as she raced over to Daniel. He bent down and scooped her up, much the same way Daisy had.

"She absolutely adores him," a voice said behind Daisy. She smiled and turned around to see her two best friends walking towards her. Daisy hugged each of them tightly.

"How are you?" she asked, pulling back.

"We're good," Fitz nodded, "Little Monkey is keeping us on our toes, naturally."

"Well of course," Daisy smiled and then nodded towards where Daniel was walking towards them, a rapid talking Alya in his arms.

"He's been very excited to come visit," she admitted to them, "He loves seeing her."

"The feeling is definitely mutual," Jemma replaced, "We told her you were coming, and it's been non-stop: 'when are Aunty Daisy and Uncle Daniel going to get here?'. She's hoping to hear some bedtime stories about your adventures in space."

"I can guarantee she'll hear plenty of stories," Daisy smiled.

"Absolutely," Daniel nodded, joining them, "Best audience in the world right here."

Alya giggled and wrapped her arms tighter around Sousa.

"Come on, let's go inside," Fitz said, "This one's got lots she wants to show you."
The ground walked into the house and Daisy reveled in how homey the little cottage felt. She couldn't help but think about her and Daniel having a future like this: a house and a child's laughter to fill it.

They spent the day playing games, reading books, and telling stories. Alya spent the whole day glued to Daisy or Daniel and the pair of them were more than happy to shower her with attention.

After Alya had been put to bed (with a space adventure bedtime story from Uncle Daniel, of course), it was finally time for the adults to catch up.

"So, how are you both?" Jemma asked them after she and Fitz finished telling them about retired life.

"We're good," Daisy nodded.

"Yeah, thinking of maybe taking a break from field work for a bit," Daniel added.

"Oh really?" Fitz asked, intrigued, "What would you do?"

"Well May said there's always a spot at the academy for teaching," Daisy told them, "Though, teaching combat training will probably have to wait until after the baby is born."
Jemma smiled widely, happy that the news was finally out there.

Daisy stared at Fitz's face, watching as what she said sunk in.

"The… baby…" he said slowly, looking between her and Daniel, both nodding their confirmation.

"You're pregnant?" he asked Daisy and she smiled.

"How do you feel about 'Uncle Fitz'?" she asked.

He smiled widely and next thing Daisy knew his arms were around her.

"Congratulations," he said, and Daisy laughed, feeling a few happy tears leak out.

"Thank you," she said, feeling Jemma embrace her too.

She hugged them both tightly, glad to have her two closest friends with her on this journey and glad her baby would have such a wonderful aunt and uncle.

"Oh no," Fitz groaned.

"What's wrong?" Daniel asked.

"Alya is going to be absolutely unbearable when she finds out."

FitzSimmons would make such a great aunt and uncle.
