"Okay, vision about my primo and Primas take two," Bruno said. He cracked his knuckles. Even though his reputation has gotten better, he still prefers not to use his gift. "Please let this one go better."
He began to focus. The vision dome surrounded him again. His eyes glowed bright green. He saw a line twisting around. "Isabela, que bueno verte," Bruno declared. When he had the vision of Isabela when she was a child, she appeared to him like a vine first. He followed the vine.
Dolores appeared in the vision. She was holding a shovel. There was what appeared to be a casket on the ground. He looked into the casket, and let out a horrified yelp. Isabela was laying in the casket. It was clear to him that his Sobrina was dead. Her body looked decomposed, so it was safe to assume she was already dead.
Bruno noticed Isabela wasn't alone in the casket. Camilo was lying right beside her. He couldn't tell if he was dead or not. "Mierda," Bruno murmured under his breath. The casket was slammed closed. Dirt was starting to pile on top of it.
The vision doomed disappeared. He couldn't present this to his family. Yet, he had to show this to someone. He wasn't clear what the vision meant entirely. Yet, this one, paired with the last one, made one thing clear to Bruno; Dolores was gonna be the downfall of the Madrigal family.
He hid the vision in the sand. "Dios, por favor ten piedad de su alma," Bruno whispered. He needs to come up with a good lie to pretend this vision. I thought it couldn't get worse after the Mirabel vision.
"Pedro," Abuela said. Every time she needed guidance, she talked to the candle. It was the closest thing she had to be able to talk to her husband. Even if it wouldn't speak back, it was still therapeutic. "Please give me a sign that I'm making the right choice. I'm scared if I send them out, I will lose my entire family. Sé mi luz una vez más, mi querido Pedro."
Agustin burst into the room. "Ellos se han ido," Agustin shouted.
"Who?" Abuela asked.
"Mirabel, Luisa, and Antonio," Agustin explained. "We've looked everywhere for them."
"I'm sure they just got an early start on their chores," Abuela explained calmly.
"We've asked around town," Agustin asked. "No one has seen them. Mariano also seems to have disappeared. They clearly left the Encanto to search for the others. We can't sit idly by as our children could be dying."
"We shouldn't jump to conclusions," Abuela said.
"I've lost my patience," Agustin declared angrily. "If we hear nothing by lunch, Felix, Julieta, Pepa and I are searching beyond the mountains."
Isabela, que bueno verte; Isabela, it's so good to see you
Mierda; fuck
Dios, por favor ten piedad de su alma; God, please have mercy on her soul.
Sé mi luz una vez más, mi querido Pedro; Be my light once again, my dear Pedro.
Ellos se han ido; They're gone
