(3)-WORSE THAN BELIEVED.
Inside the cock-pit, the co-pilot stood at the door stunned and wide-eyed for a moment before going over to his seat and dropping down in it by the main pilot, who was sitting in his seat.
"What's going on, captain? So far, every Pokemon on board this plane is gone. Including all of the ones that were crew-members." Said the co-pilot.
"All of them?" The main pilot asked.
"Yeah." The co-pilot answered. "It would be better if it was only ten. How on Earth are we gonna explain landing with only human passengers and not with any of the Pokemon that were with us when we took off?"
Rather than answer the co-pilot's question, the main pilot picked up the hand-radio. "This is flight number 2000. Can you hear me? Over." But there was no reply. Just a bunch of static. "This is flight number 2000. Can you hear me? Over." Still nothing. He was doing this in the hopes of maybe reaching someone, anyone. But the plane was too remote even to pick up a radio station for news. "This is flight number 2000. Can you hear-"
"Flight number 1999 to flight 2000. This is the captain speaking. Over." Came the voice of a male pilot on the hand-radio.
"Put on your headphones." The main pilot ordered as he looked at his co-pilot.
The co-pilot did as he was instructed and put on his headphones.
"You got enough fuel to get back to the Kanto region?" Asked the pilot on the hand-radio.
The main pilot looked at his co-pilot.
"We're halfway." The co-pilot whispered.
"I could make it to an island on the Orange Islands." The main pilot said on the hand-radio.
"Forget it." The pilot said. "Nothing's landing in the Orange Islands. Two runways are still open in Pallet Town. That's where we're going."
"We came from Pallet Town. Can't i just land in Johto?" The main pilot said.
"Negative. Closed." The pilot said.
"Hoenn?" The main pilot asked.
"You gotta get back where you came from." Said the pilot. "We left Veridian City an hour ago. Got the word of what's happening and we were told to go straight to Pallet Town."
"What is happening, sir?" The main pilot asked.
"If you don't know, why'd you put out the mayday?" The pilot asked.
"I've got a situation here i don't wish to discuss." The main pilot answered.
"It's not just on the planes, you know." The pilot said.
"Negative, i don't know. Talk to me." The main pilot said.
"You're missing all of the Pokemon on your plane, right?" The pilot asked.
"Roger. Every single one." The main pilot said.
"Whoa. It's like that on our plane too." The pilot said.
"What do you make of it, sir?" The main pilot asked.
"Well, at first i thought one of the Pokemon on board used one of their abilities to make itself and all of the other Pokemon invisible, but we would've been able to still physically feel their presence. These Pokemon completely disappeared. The only thing i can compare it to is a mass alien abduction, like in the movies and TV-shows. People and Pokemon got abducted and returned a few days later." The pilot said.
"I sure wish i could tell my passengers that their Pokemon were going to reappear again in less than a few days." The main pilot said.
"That's not the worst of it." The pilot began. "Pokemon in airports all over the Kanto region have disappeared. All airports have lost all Pokemon staff-members and planes from Kanto have lost all Pokemon passengers and Pokemon crew-members.
"So this was a region-wide event that occurred at every airport in Kanto and on board every plane from the region." The main pilot said.
"Every airport and airplane at once just a little over an hour ago." The pilot said.
The main pilot was almost hoping there was something on the plane. Some gas. Some malfunction. "Then it's just the Pokemon that were on planes from Kanto and in all Kanto airports?"
"Right." The pilot said.
"I see what you mean, sir. I gotta admit this is somewhere we've never been before." The main pilot said.
"And never want to be again. I keep telling myself it's a bad dream. A nightmare." The pilot said.
"Roger. But it's not...is it?" The main pilot. "What are you gonna tell your passengers and crew-members, sir?"
"No idea. You?" The pilot said.
"The truth, i guess." The main pilot said.
"Can't hurt. But what is the truth? What do we know?" The pilot said.
"Not a thing." The main pilot said.
"My thoughts exactly. Over and out." The pilot said.
The main pilot hung up the hand-radio. "Swing it around." He said to his co-pilot as he looked at him.
"Yes, sir." The co-pilot said before he began changing the settings to turn the plane around so they could head back for the Kanto region.
