(8)-BABYSITTER'S NIGHTMARE.

15 Minutes Later...

Misty, holding Azurill, Tommy and TK all sat on the sofa, watching another Valentine's Day movie on the TV, with Tommy's legs resting sideways on the sofa and TK sitting indian style. It had been 15 minutes since Mr. and Mrs. Daily left for their meeting and the 15-year old red-haired girl had been watching the Valentine's Day marathon with the kids and Azurill since, which was her favorite thing to do this time of year. Even though Valentine's Day was yesterday and she had watched the marathon then with her sisters, she figured she'd view it again as much as she could before this month was over, as it was obvious to her that this channel was airing the marathon until the end of February.

Smart move on her part.

Misty, Azurill, Tommy and TK's focus was then cut off from the TV when they heard a loud crash noise coming from outside in the backyard.

"Tommy, do you hear that?" Misty asked.

"Yeah, it kind of sounded like it came from the garage." Tommy said as he looked at Misty.

"Alright, i'm gonna go check it out." Misty said as she placed Azurill in TK's folded legs. "You guys stay here." She said as she stood up from the sofa. "Please watch them." She said to Tommy, referring to TK and Azurill as them as she walked off.

"Okay." Tommy said.

Misty exited the living-room and made her way to the back door where she unlocked and opened it and exited the home, followed by closing the door back.

...

As she headed toward the garage in the backyard, Misty wondered what could have made that crash noise. Could Mr. and Mrs. Daily have come back home because their meeting was rescheduled? No, that couldn't be it. They would've called and let her know they were on their way home like they always did when babysat Tommy. Maybe one of them had forgotten something. After all, Mr. Daily had forgotten his poke-gear earlier and came back to get it. Maybe that was it. Wrong. Again, they would've called and let her know they were on their way. But there was no reason not to think that it wasn't the Dailys. They might have just decided not to call and let her know they were coming home. Nothing wrong with that, they had the right to come home without calling or notifying her. This was their house after all.

The 15-year old walked over to the door that led inside the garage, opened it, and went inside where she found the dark garage was empty. So her suspicions had been wrong. The Dailys hadn't come home from their meeting. But if that crash noise wasn't from them pulling into the garage and knocking something over by mistake, what had been the source of it?

"Hello? Is anyone in here?" Misty called.

As if on cue, a large floating figure came out of the darkness and into view, revealing itself to be a Beedrill. A bug Pokemon. But there was something different about it, something...not quite right. Something...evil.

"AAAHH!" Misty screamed. "AAAAAHHHH!" She screamed in terror again as she turned and ran out of the garage through it's open door she had used to enter inside. "AAHH!" She screamed as the Beedrill flew out of the garage through the open door, chasing after her. "HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!" She shouted. "AAAHHH!" She screamed again. "AAAAHHH!" She screamed as she ran up to the back door. "TOMMY, OPEN THE DOOR!" She screamed as she banged on the back door with her fists, completely forgetting that it was unlocked. "OPEN THE DOOR, OPEN THE DOOR!" She screamed as Tommy opened the door, allowing her to rush inside and close the door back as the Beedrill flew to it and stopped.

The mysterious driver felt satisfaction after hearing screaming from around the back of the house. The screams clearly belonged to the red-head girl, which meant she had to have encountered the driver's Beedrill they had sent into the garage. Perfect. Everything was going exactly according to plan.

...

"What's goin' on, what's goin' on?" Tommy asked as he was rushed into the kitchen by Misty from behind where TK and Azurill were.

"Go upstairs, go upstairs, go upstairs!" Misty urged before Tommy, TK and Azurill rushed off, with Azurill bouncing on it's tail. Misty opened the blinds with her hands and looked out the window and saw the Beedrill looking in at her. "AAAHH!" She screamed before letting go of the blinds, allowing them to close.

Tommy, TK and Azurill ran out of the kitchen, into the hallway, and headed upstairs to Tommy's room.

A loud explosion was then heard in the living-room and Misty deduced that the Beedrill had used an attack to break into the house. If that were true, then that meant it was too late to call the police. The bug was already inside the house. And she knew she had to do something to stop it. But what? What? She then noticed a metal trey resting on the counter and she rushed over to it and picked it up, followed by running over to the corner and hiding around it where she waited silently and fearfully for the Beedrill.

As far back as she could remember, Misty had always been afraid of bugs and kept it no secret from anyone. Especially Ash and her other friends. She would always flip out over the least sight of a bug Pokemon. But there came a time in everyone's life when they had to face what they were afraid of. And that time had come for Misty tonight, she was certain of it. No way would she be able to avoid this bug situation like she had done all the other times. There was no place for her to run and hide...no trees for her to climb...and no one to fight this bug off for her. She would have to do it herself. What choice did she have? She had to if she wanted to save herself and the children.

The Beedrill came down the hall and entered into the kitchen through the open door where Misty hit it with the trey real hard, with it crashing up against the door and falling to the floor unconscious.

"(Sighs)." Misty sighed before dropping the trey to the floor, followed by stepping over the out-cold Beedrill, exiting the kitchen, running into the hallway and rushing up the stairs into Tommy's bedroom, with the only light being a night-light plugged into the wall. "Are you guys okay?" She asked as she ran over to the 10-year old's bed where he, TK and Azurill were sitting and sat by them.

"What's goin' on, what's goin' on?" Tommy asked.

"I took care of the problem, don't worry." Misty said.

"What problem?" TK asked.

"It doesn't matter. Just know that it's over." Misty said.

"A Beedrill, a Beedrill." Tommy said as he pointed at something behind Misty with his right index finger.

Misty, Azurill and TK turned to see the Beedrill hovering in Tommy's room at the top of the stairs.

The bee Pokemon made it's way towards the four on the bed.

"Get back! Get back!" Misty ordered the Beedrill. Sure, she was afraid of bugs, but didn't mean she was going to let this insect hurt these kids. Over her dead body would that happen.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" TK screamed high-pitched at the top of his lungs as the Beedrill came closer and closer towards him and the others.

Just then, two beams of gold-yellow light came through the ceiling and shined down on the Beedrill and Azurill, followed by the lights beaming the two Pokemon up to the ceiling where they phased through it like ghosts, with the lights disappearing afterwards and Tommy's night-light going out, indicating that the lights had gone out in the house.

"My Azurill! My Azurill! Oh, my gosh, what just happened?! My Azurill!" Misty panicked.

"Ah! Ah!" TK screamed as he and Tommy got off the bed and ran towards the stairs.

...

"The Beedrill, the Beedrill!" Tommy shouted as he and TK ran out of the house through a hole in the wall where the front door use to be. Clearly from an attack of the Beedrill.

"HELP! HELP!" TK screamed.

"Beedrill! Beedrill!" Tommy yelled.

"HELP!" TK shouted.

"Beedrill, the Beedrill!" Tommy said.

"HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP!" Tk screamed as he and Tommy ran down the street.
