You're probably not going to believe this confession. I'm somehow both guilty and not guilty. I didn't pull the trigger on Isabela. I didn't lay a hand on Camilo. However, I was the reason they were there.
It was just supposed to be me who went. However, Isabela and Camilo saw it happening, and they interfered. I don't know what happened with Camilo. He was separated from me and Isabela on day one. He was taken by someone to a nearby town. We were briefly reunited. I took him to urgent care, but it was raided before he could get help. We were reunited again before he was seen by some sort of nurse.
Isabela and I tried to escape. During the escape, she got shot. I kept us going, but she quickly bled out. Tío Bruno's vision didn't show the entire situation. I did bury the two of them, but there was a gun to the back of my head. I hit the man in the head with the shovel and decapitated him. So I guess I am a murderer. I was about to unbury them. However, that's when Tía Julieta showed up.
This confession is probably mierda to you. You're probably going to want my neck in a noose. I'm okay with that. However, I feel the truth should still be out there. I can't say the truth, but it's right here.
Pepa opened the door. "Pack up your things," she said. "We're leaving."
Dolores held out the diary. For the first time in days, when she opened her mouth, words came out. "Here," she croaked.
The trip was a lot quicker in a carriage. The trip was also shortened because they now had an idea of where they were going. "We're here," Luisa announced. They looked up, seeing a large building with a shed in the back. The shed.
"Milo, you can hang back here," Mirabel said.
"No, I'm fine," Camilo said. "Lo que sea que demuestre que mi hermana es inocente."
The trio climbed out of the cart. Luisa had to help Camilo out. "I'll go first," Luisa said. "If things get too serious, you two-run. I already lost someone I love here. I won't be losing someone else."
They followed Luisa's lead into the camp. Mirabel stepped on a branch, causing everyone to flinch. "Sorry," Mirabel whispered. They kept going through the area. They pushed open the first door they found.
It led to the camera room. They only had cameras for the outside. "Bingo," Luisa said. She grabbed the tapes from the last few weeks. She put the first one on the TV. She turned to the younger Madrigals. "Turn around. I don't want you to see this."
She began to watch the tape. She watched as her family arrived at the place. She cringed as she saw Camilo's first beating. Luisa fast-forwarded until she got to the first escape attempt. She was frozen as she watched bullets rip through her sisters. Do something, idiot. If you can't protect your family, what can you do? She had to keep reminding herself that this was the past.
She took the tape out of the player. "Lulu, are you okay?" Mirabel asked. "You're very quiet."
"I am now that an innocent woman won't die," Luisa responded.
Mierda; bullshit
Lo que sea que demuestre que mi hermana es inocente; Whatever proves my sister is innocent.
