A/N: Hey guys! I decided this will be the final chapter. I've hit all the major plot points I've wanted to hit. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. The response to this fic has been overwhelmingly positive. I couldn't do this without you. When I started this, I wasn't even signed up for theatre camp. Now, I'm in week two. I hope this is a satisfying(cue to Hamilton song) conclusion and that you like whatever comes next.
Dolores sat near the fire. She rubbed her swollen stomach. Seven years had passed since everything went down. The Madrigal family would never recover completely from those few weeks, but they found their footing in their new life.
The door opened. The moment she saw the cane, she knew who it was. "Don't you have a rehearsal dinner to get ready for?" Dolores signed. The entire family learned how to sign. Though Dolores's hearing was unaffected, this was the easiest way for her to communicate with them.
"Don't you as well?" Camilo asked.
"I'm not the groom," Dolores signed. During Camilo's recovery period, Camilo became close with one of the nurses Julieta was training. Within a year, Valentina and Camilo were an idiom. "How bad is mamá? Worse than papá on mine?" she signed.
"Look outside," Camilo said. She didn't have to. She had heard the rain all day.
"I don't know if I can make it tonight," Dolores signed. "It's hard to get up these days. Valeria and Gabriela are already los más lindos pequeños dolores."
She had gone to Bruno for a vision. Since she was living with Mariano now, they didn't already have a nursery. They were shocked but happy to learn that they were going to have two healthy baby girls. They realized they should have considered this. After all, Dolores's mother was a triplet. Multiple baby pregnancies ran in the family.
Dolores considered naming one of them Isabela. However, she wanted to keep that name available just in case Mirabel or Luisa wanted to use the name for one of their kids. "That's okay," Camilo said. "Tonight is only mandatory for the wedding party. You rest up tonight."
Camilo sighed. "It's days like this I miss her the most."
"Me too," Dolores signed.
"I should probably get going," Camilo said. "Sofia and her family are going to arrive soon. I should show them where they're staying before going to the chapel. I'll see you tomorrow morning."
Camilo stood up. Dolores watched her brother leave. Though she was now alone in the living room, she never felt truly alone. She could feel the presence of her cousin and Abuelo. Those presences would follow her forever.
Los más lindos pequeños dolores; the cutest little pains.
