Notes: A month or two after the last one.
Summary: School break is on the way and Daisuke has a suggestion for Ken.

One very annoying point about having a boyfriend who lived in a different district was that they couldn't get together nearly as often as would have been truly interesting. At least in Ken's opinion.

He was, of course, still trying to wrap his head around the thought of having Daisuke as a boyfriend in the first place. But he wasn't sure of what else to call their situation, not when the two of them cuddled and kissed every chance they got. One of them spent the weekend at the other's no matter what.

And now that one of the school breaks loomed on the horizon, Ken couldn't keep his mind off of what might happen next.

I spent last weekend at Daisuke's, so I guess he's coming here.

So far he hadn't told his parents. He wondered if they knew regardless. They'd paid a lot more attention to him since his experience as the Kaiser ended, which was quite pleasant on some levels. Only when it came to things like dating Daisuke, he just didn't know.

What he wanted to do right now was focus on his homework so that he had as little to do as possible when the break came. That way he and Daisuke could enjoy themselves.

Daisuke – likes me. Another word hovered at the edge of his mind but he didn't think it all the way through. The idea of doing so sent chills and thrills throughout his entire body.

A knock sounded and he poked his head out just in time to see Daisuke stroll inside, greeting Ken's parents and setting V-mon down so that he could snuggle up against Wormmon. Those two hadn't so much as twitched an eyebrow over what their partners were getting up to lately, and Wormmon even mentioned that he thought this was very good for Ken.

"Hey, Ken!" Daisuke's smile brightened as their eyes met. Ken came right over, hands reaching for Daisuke's without another thought.

"I didn't know you were coming," Ken murmured, his eyes flicking over Daisuke's lips. If his parents weren't there, then he would have gotten right to the kissing. But that could come later, perhaps when they were in the bedroom together.

"I probably could have just e-mailed you," Daisuke agreed with a cheerful nod. "But I wanted to see you."

Oh, that send a very soft wash of warmth all through Ken, and he shivered in pleasure. "Was there something special you wanted to talk about?"

"Actually, yeah. You know that break coming up?" Daisuke asked, coming a little closer. His fingers twitched a little, and Ken imagined them wrapped around his own, how rough and gentle they would be at the same time.

Ken nodded, vaguely aware that his parents remained watching, and not quite able to think beyond that with Daisuke's glowing presence there as well.

"I was thinking that we could go camping in the Digital World. Just the two of us." Daisuke flashed that warm grin and everything else in Ken's mind faded away for a few seconds.

"That sounds like a good idea," Ken said, managing to find his words. "I didn't have any other plans."

He began to reach out for Daisuke, but then jerked his hand back, head whipping around as his dad coughed, clearing his throat. His eyes rounded at the sight of them both staring at he and Daisuke.

"Is there something that you two would like to tell us?" His mom asked, a hint of something in her voice that Ken couldn't interpret.

He mentally gulped. What he wanted to do was just admit that he and Daisuke were sort of seeing each other – he really had no idea of how else to describe it, when one got down to the truth. They'd went on trips to ramen places, gone to the movies twice, enjoyed several long walks on the beach together, and Ken could no more imagine the rest of his life without Daisuke as a regular part of it than he could imagine not having Wormmon there.

Daisuke's smile somehow got even larger and brighter. He reached over and wrapped one arm around Ken, who leaned into him almost automatically.

"We're dating!" Daisuke grinned cheerfully, and only Ken could feel the slightest tension there. Daisuke had never met a consequence that he couldn't barrel his way through but that didn't mean he wasn't a little disturbed all the same.

Ken's parents looked at one another. He had no idea of what they were thinking, but clearly they were thinking something. Ken squared up his shoulders and tightened his grip on Daisuke.

"Yes," he agreed. "I – I love him." The words tasted far better on his lips than he'd ever thought they would.

His mother's hand closed on his father's arm, and his father's attention shifted from one to the other of them. Then they both sighed, and his father spoke.

"You two enjoy your camping." He looked for a second as if he wanted to say something more, but the two of them headed away, speaking quietly to one another. Ken had no idea of what they were talking about, but he guessed that they would tell him what he needed to know later.

Daisuke's fingers brushed against his chin and Ken lost himself deeply in the kiss moments later. This upcoming trip would be the first time they'd really had a lot of proper time with just the two of them since that trip to the beach with everyone else.

And Ken looked forward to seeing what might happen while they were alone together.

The End

Notes: They will make out. A lot. The local Digimon will be very confused.
