The group were hanging around the area as Steven presented Ruby and Sapphire with a book marked 'Dream Wedding'.

"This is just to give you some ideas. Ruby said she wanted your reunion as Garnet to be special." Steven said as she teared up a bit. "And there's nothing more special and romantic, than a beautiful wedding!" he said, wiping away the tear.

"It's like they say: if you wanna drink the cow, you gotta put a ring on it!" Ed declared.

"Who the heck says that?" Rin asked.

"Let's take a look at printing styles for your invitations." Pinkie said as she opened the book.

"Would it be cool if it had flames on it?" Ruby asked.

"And maybe…some dolphins?" Sapphire asked.

"Yeah! Dolphins with flames!" Ruby cheered.

"Oh, we have that on page 135!" Pinkie-2 said, her human counterpart flipping to that page to show them.

"How long did it take you guys to put this together?" Sapphire asked.

"Our entire lives." Steven said.

"For us, it just comes naturally." Pinkie said.

A little while later, they were seen making and folding invitations.

"You sure we can't invite the other teams?" Double D asked.

"Hmm…knowing them, they're likely going to be taking a while with that King of Fighters stuff." Jexi said. "So for now, we'll keep it to people on this world."

"Ugh…this is tedious. We've been stuffing envelopes all day." Peridot groaned as she lied on the couch and passed another invite to Amethyst. "How many does that make?"

"That makes…10!" Amethyst said.

"Oh…just…10." Sapphire said.

"Not exactly a crowded wedding, but it's no dealbreaker." SE said. "I'm sure it'll be great."

Later still, the group was setting up the venue, putting the altar and chairs in place while Steven read over the plan with Ruby and Sapphire.

"So, my Dad will finish playing the music, and then next you'll do the "I do"s. And then I'll say... "I now pronounce you Garnet." Aaand then you fuse! Everyone'll cheer!" Steven said.

"Everyone…who survived." Sapphire said sadly.

"Huh?" Ruby asked.

"Oh, it's just- There's so many old friends who won't be able to come. All the Crystal Gems who were corrupted and bubbled in the basement." Sapphire pointed out.

"Maybe we could bring the bubbles out here." Ruby said.

"No. No. It's not safe. We can't risk them getting out." Sapphire said.

Steven lowered his head in sadness and Ruby and Sapphire hugged each other somberly.

"We could have the others watch the reception over video chat." Mark pointed out as he, Steven, Jexi, and several of the others were going over the placement chart. "Have one of us hold a tablet so they can see."

"...Maybe? It depends if they're fighting while the wedding is happening or not." Jexi pointed out.

"Yeah, good point. What do you think, Steven?" Mark asked, not getting a response. "...Steven?"

"Huh? Oh, sorry, I…" Steven trailed off before he looked at a blank placement card. He then looked to the temple doors before writing down something before running over.

"Steven…where the heck are…" Jexi said, looking at the name card. "Who's…Bismuth?"

"Bismuth?... Oh, Bismuth!" Mark remembered. "He mentioned them last time we were here! Looks like he's going to go get her! Come on, looks like we're meeting her!"

Mark got up and followed after Steven as they ran into the room where all the bubbled Gems were kept as Steven grabbed one with a multi-layered gem before popping it.

"Oh boy, oh boy!" Ed said excitedly as the Gem started to glow, floating up into the air and starting to take shape. Soon, enough, the form of a tall, bulky gem with cool grey complexion, several locks of bright-toned hair held back by a lilac headband, and a single tattoo-like marking of a star pattern on her left shoulder in a smoky dark red appeared, falling flat on the floor with a loud thud.

"Uhh... Hmm? I'm back?!" the Gem known as Bismuth exclaimed in surprise.

"Hey, Bismuth! Long time, no see...?" Steven said nervously, getting her attention.

"Rose. I mean, Steven!" Bismuth corrected herself.

"Oh… there's a third option now." Steven said.

"Hi, we're here too." Moltar waved. "We're Team Chronicle and the Dimensional Heroes, world-hopping extraordinaires."

"Huh?" Bismuth said in confusion. "Wait, did you make him let me out? I just tried to shatter him."

"Wait, you tried to what now?" Mark asked.

"You didn't tell us she tried to kill you." Eddy said. "Like, do we need to dogpile her, or-?"

"N-No! I'll explain everything later!" Steven said quickly. "Bismuth, you know how you fought mom because her whole war strategy didn't make any sense? Well... You were right!"

Bismuth looked around at the bubbled Gems and gasped. "What's going on? Did Rose do this? Did she bubble everyone who disagreed with her?!" Bismuth asked.

"No…that's not it. See…" Steven tried to explain.

"Tiger's Eye! Oh, little Larimar! Beryl! Serpentine! And…ah! Biggs? Biggs was beloved by everyone!" Bismuth said as she jumped and grabbed the bubble with Biggs's Gem inside.

"Bismuth, wait!" Steven warned.

"I'll get you out of there." Bismuth said, popping the bubble as the Gem started to reform. "C'mon, help me free the other…Biggs?" she asked as the Biggs she knew was now nothing more than a corrupted beast as it roared.

"Oh, we did not need this today…" Mark said under his breath. "Jexi!"

"Yeah." Jexi said, pulling back a fist. "Ultimate Color…Rising Strike!" he said landing a single strike to the corrupted Gem as its form fell apart as Steven rebubbled it.

"What was… only a Diamond could do damage like this." Bismuth realized. "It was Pink, wasn't it? Why didn't Rose stop her?!"

"Because…they were the same person." Izuku said.

"What?" Bismuth asked in shock.

"Yeah, you better sit down, we're gonna be here a bit." Emo suggested.

An hour of explanations later…

"...and that's the whole story." Steven finished, the group sitting down around the room.

"Hmm." Bismuth humed.

"Are you…okay?" Frisk asked the large Gem.

"...Yeah! Hang on a sec." Bismuth said as she walked over to the pool of lava in the middle of the room.

"Uh…Bismuth?" Steven asked in concern.

Bismuth then dunked her head into the lava, the group hearing a muffled scream that lasted for over five seconds before she brought her head back up. "Oh my gosh! It all makes sense now!"

"In hindsight, yeah, it does explain a lot." Shirou said.

"Whoo…" Bismuth said as she dipped her feet into the lava. "Oh, that's nice. Hey! Come on in. The lava's great!"

"We would but…a majority of us are not lava resistant." Jexi said.

"Haha. I was so excited to show Rose the Breaking Point. Can you imagine? "Hey Rose! Check out this cool weapon I made, I'm gonna shatter you with it!"" Bismuth said as she laughed heartily for a moment before letting out a long, sorrowful sigh. "I really thought all of our problems would disappear if we could just shatter a Diamond! Guess she ended up taking my advice."

"Well, at least you're taking it better than Garnet did." Sans said. "Sapphire ended up giving Ruby the cold shoulder for a bit because of it."

"Huh?" Bismuth asked.

"He's saying they unfused over it." Izuku said.

"What? No! They're my favorite couple!" Bismuth said.

"It's okay. They're back together…almost. There's gonna be this wedding and we kinda want you to come." Steven said.

"A wedding? Uh…I mean…I don't have any plans so I guess I could come." Bismuth said.

"Yay! This is gonna be so much fun!" Steven said in excitement.

"Pfft! Oh, yeah. No question this is gonna be the best wedding ever! Pff, hahaha." Bismuth laughed. "So what's a wedding?"

"Okay, so we're getting everything set up for tomorrow." Steven said, he and Bismuth watching the set-up from the outside. "Sanji's running the hot dog grill out front, Odd and Sonata will handle the camera since Mahiru isn't here, and we have chairs all set up for everyone in front of the canopy."

"Probably should go and say hi." Bismuth said before a quilt was thrown onto her. "Uh…what is this?"

"For the surprise." Steven said.

"What surprise?" Bismuth asked.

"You." Steven said.

"They don't even know I'm here?" Bismuth asked. "Wait, I can't do this!"

"Oh, you're right! You gotta have a gift!" Steven said as he pulled up the wedding registry on his phone.

"I…don't think that's quite what she means, Steven." Double D said. "I believe she's not sure how the others will react to her."

"What? Come on, they'll be happy to see her!" Steven assured. "They're gonna want her to be maid of honor. I'll go out and set it up, just be ready with a catchphrase when I give the signal!" he said to Bismuth as he walked out.

Once outside, Steven grabbed a can of soda and raised it, tapping it with a spoon to get everyone's attention.

"Uh, attention everyone! Please gather 'round." the half-gem said as everyone did so. "Ahem! I'd like to propose a toast. To Ruby and Sapphire! Now, we all know you guys have been runnin' a little, heh, hot-and-cold lately?"

"Good lord, Sans is corrupting him…" Sir Saiyan said as some members laughed while others groaned at the pun.

"We are all excited to see you fused back together, and achieve lifelong, room-temperature happiness! All of us, including...!" Steven said, pointing to the house. However, Bismuth wasn't there, leading everyone to misinterpret his point.

"Pearl!"

"Mm-hmm... Yes! And Pearl! All of us, including...!"

"...Ladybug is in the back too, is that who you're referring to?" Saber asked.

"Uh…could you all excuse me for a moment?" Steven said as he ran back into the house.

"...So can we drink these or what?" Luffy asked, referring to the soda they each were holding.

Steven ran into the house and found Bismuth gone and the quilt by the Warp Pad. "Oh…I know where she went." he said to himself.

Taking the Warp Pad, he soon transported himself to a place known as the Forge, the place where Bismuth does all of her weapons making. Entering the Forge, he found Bismuth working on weapons, a pile of them in the back of the room.

"Bismuth, what happened out there?" Steven asked. "I-I'm sure if we hurry back we can still surprise them. They're gonna be so happy to see you."

"If they wanted to see me so much, they coulda let me out themselves, but they didn't. Of course they didn't. I attacked their leader." Bismuth said.

"They're not gonna side with Rose anymore! Not after-"

"I'm not talking about Rose! I'm talking about you!" Bismuth said.

"But I'm not the Gem's leader. Garnet is." Steven pointed out.

"And where's Garnet?" Bismuth asked him.

"She'll be back. That's the whole point. It's a big Crystal Gem wedding, we should all be there together!" Steven said.

"Why?! Why are the Crystal Gems still together?! After finding out that everything was a sham? Somebody's making them believe in the future, and it's you! You seriously think they're gonna want me around when the last thing I did was try to shatter you? You told them everything. And they made their choice. They want me in a bubble, and you out there." Bismuth said as she finished crafting a sword before throwing it on a pile of weapons.

"But Bismuth…" Steven said.

"You say they want me to be 'made' of honor? Well, I am. I'm made of the most solid, flexible, diamagnetic stuff there is and I'm not as dense as you might think." Bismuth said as she grabbed a handful of dust and ran it under a lavafall, heating and compressing it into an ingot. "I've got enough self-respect in this gem to accept that they don't want me on their team anymore."

Bismuth prepared to work on the ingot, only to see that it wasn't purely refined.

"I blew it! Everything was different, and I didn't believe it." Bismuth finished, tears welling up in her eyes as she slumped behind the anvil.

"Everything is different!" Steven replied as he walked up to Bismuth. "We had a fight, so we can make up, right? If they didn't let you out because they care about me, then they're gonna care that I want you back on the team!"

"Huh?" Bismuth asked.

"I want you back on the team. Forget the surprise, if we show up together, they're all gonna know that everything's okay." Steven assured.

"Hmm. Spoken like a leader." Bismuth smiled.

"No. Spoken like a friend." Steven replied.

The two warped back to the beach house, seeing everyone reading the Dream Wedding book.

"Alright, so I'm thinking either red on one side and blue on the other, or purple all around." Eddy said.

"Why not just mix the red and blue together everywhere? Seems better to me." ZS said. "Rarity, you're the expert, what do you-?"

"Hey everyone." Bismuth spoke up, getting everyone's attention, leaving the Crystal Gems dumbstruck. "Did you guys... Bis-miss-th me?"

A number of them dropped their drinks except for one.

"Ha! I win! Also…who is that?" Peridot said.

"I…invited Bismuth!" Steven said. "I hope that's cool…"

"Bismuth…" Sapphire said, approaching the large Gem before she hugged her.

"Wha-Whoa, Sapphire!" Bismuth exclaimed before Pearl and Ruby followed suit, knocking them all to the ground.

"Uh…can someone explain who this is?" Nathan asked.

"Let's give 'em some space." Amethyst suggested.

"You wouldn't believe what we've all been through. I'm so sorry! We should've-" Sapphire started.

"It's okay. Steven and his pals already filled me in. Oh! I heard you're supposed to bring gifts to these things. They're not weapons but Steven thinks they'll come in handy." Bismuth said, presenting a brass ring and a silver ring.

Ruby and Sapphire gasped in surprise. "WE LOVE THEM!" they exclaimed as they hugged Bismuth.

"...Well, it looks like we've got a new team member." Mark said.
