The day had finally come. A wedding for two very different Gems as they become one. However, this joyous union was the start of a chain of events no one could have seen coming.

"Today's the day~ Wedding day~" Mark sang as he adjusted the tie with his suit in the mirror of one of the Galaxy King's bathrooms. "Everything's looking up~"

"Hey Marky!" Eddy poked his head into the bathroom. "Looking nice, big man!"

"Thanks Eddy." Mark said. "This is a special occasion, gotta look our best for it. How's everyone else doing?"

"Pretty well, we got all the jobs filled, weather's looking nice, everyone's coming… baring a meteor or something crazy like that, I'd say this wedding's gonna go pretty well." Eddy answered.

"Good, good. Well, better go meet up with the others." Mark said as he followed Eddy out, passing by Nathan strumming a guitar. "Hey Nathan. Better get ready, the reception's in an hour."

"Don't worry, I'm pretty much ready." Nathan said as he watched the two go. "...~We could think about fighting…we could think about hate…We could think about Diamonds plotting out there in space…But they aren't thinking of that…there's no need to rush…'til then, they're only thinking 'bout love~"

"So that's how you made Ruby open up."

Nathan jumped at the voice, turning about to see Hayase standing in the doorway.

"How long have you been there?" the Dark Future employee asked.

"For a while now. You are still a prisoner, despite your…good attitude." Hayase said.

"Yeah, but the gilded cage ain't so bad." Nathan remarked. "...Look, I'm sorry about what I said the other day. I didn't realize how important getting those blades were to you."

"It is fine. Do not worry about it." Hayase said.

"Yeah, I just…" Nathan sighed. "Not everybody who works for Dark Garden is evil, you know? It just made me feel icky, the idea that people would wipe out the good with the bad. Dark Ocean is one of the more noble sectors, so hearing how some of them got killed…well, it made me a bit angry. Not that you were the only one to do that; not all of them got out of that underwater city they were raiding."

"What about you then? Where does Dark Future place itself in that spectrum?" Hayase asked.

"Well…it's not like "pure good" or "pure evil"." Nathan said. "There's people who just want to make a living, and there are people who just get off on doing bad things. Like… there's this captain who's a real bastard in my opinion, but there's leaders like Kuroshiki, a robot. He's a pretty decent one."

"And you?"

"...Well, I'm honestly just in Dark Garden in order to get money so I can fulfill my real dream." Nathan said. "I really want to be a musician, but it takes quite a bit of cash to get started. Yeah, it's a pretty weird reason to join a criminal organization, but they're the only ones who would take me."

"I see. Okay…you've convinced me. I'll be more selective when it comes to that group." Hayase said as he headed off. As he did, something began to ring near Nathan.

"Um…hello?" Nathan asked.

"Private Nathan…what the hell? You were supposed to check in days ago." a voice on the phone said.

"Oh, uh… I got captured." Nathan explained.

"...You got captured?"

"Yes. They've been pretty nice, actually."

"...God, you're too nice for this group." the voice sighed. "Listen, Yellow and Blue Diamond are on their way to Earth. They'll be there in…three to four hours."

"Wh-What?!" Nathan said, shooting up. "Both of them?! Here?"

"Yep, they were pretty mad when that kid gave them the slip back on Homeworld. The only reason they didn't go right away was because of something involving a ship being stolen, I don't know? Anyway, Dark Future is just about ready to put Operation: Mining into action. Just stay put and we'll pick you up when we capture the Gems. Oh, and I don't need to tell you not to tell them about this, do I? Remember what the punishment for that is?"

"Uh…y-yes, Energy Crisis." Nathan gulped.

"Good. Now, just act normal until we show up." the voice said as the call ended, leaving Nathan with a feeling of dread in his gut…

The wedding was soon in progress as everyone took their places.

"You nervous?" Steven asked Sapphire.

"I'm not." Sapphire said as she kicked away some ice forming near her feet.

Peridot started walking down the aisle with a basket of flowers. "Flowers for you! Flowers for you! Flowers for you!" she said, tossing them right at people. "All flowers have been delivered, sir!"

"Thanks, Peridot." Steven said.

"Ruby's coming out! Alright, Odd, Sonata, you know what to do." Double D said.

"We've been rolling from the start. And…cue the bride." Odd said as Ruby soon emerged. However as the music played, Ruby was moving very quickly as she zoomed right down the aisle to the altar as some flames were left behind as the others went to put them out.

Steven cleared his throat, not missing a beat. "Dearly beloved Gems, humans, heroes, lions big and small, living gourds, Onion. We are gathered here today to celebrate Ruby and Sapphire, two of my favorite people, who combine into one of my other favorite people. You all probably know her as Garnet. She's their love, given form. Now it's your turn to talk about that." the half-gem said to the couple.

"I know this is all kind of silly, I mean, we've been together for 5,750 years." Ruby said.

"And 8 months." Sapphire added.

"I used to feel like I wasn't much good, just one of me on my own. But when we're together, it feels like it's okay to just be me. So I wanna be me, with you, an-and, not even the Diamonds will come between us. And if they try, we'll beat 'em up!" Ruby declared, punching and kicking in the air, eliciting a few giggles from both Sapphire and a few members of the audience.

"Ruby, my future used to look like one single, obvious stream, unbending 'til the end of time." Sapphire started. "In an instant, you pulled me from that destiny, and opened my eye to an explosion of infinite possible futures, streaking across space and time, altered and obliterated by the smallest force of will."

"...ain't nobody beating that wedding vow." ZS remarked.

"What I mean is, you changed my life. And then, I changed your life. And now, we change our lives." Sapphire finished.

"Alright Bismuth, hand them the rings." Bardock said to the gem…only to see that she was crying, touched by the couple's vows. Bismuth approached and gave the rings to Ruby and Sapphire, who put them on each other's fingers.

"Ruby, do you take this Gem to have and to hold, on this and every other planet in the universe and beyond!?" Steven asked.

"I DO!" Ruby declared with enthusiasm.

"And Sapphire, do you-"

"Yes." Sapphire said before her cue.

"You didn't let me finish." Steven whispered.

"I'm just very excited." Sapphire apologized.

"Then by the power vested in me by the state of Delmarva, I now pronounce you... Garnet!" Steven said.

Ruby and Sapphire then kissed each other before they soon started to merge before both of them soon stood there as Garnet once more.

The crowd erupted into cheers as they celebrated the newlyweds.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between, let's celebrate!" Scarlet declared.

As the afternoon turned into evening, the reception was in full swing, everyone alternating between singing, talking with one another or, in some cases, filling up on hot dogs.

"Hey Luffy, Goku, save some for the rest of us!" Mark called out to the two as he was with Jexi, Steven, and Nathan. "I swear, I don't know how we can afford to feed those guys…"

"I can't thank you enough for this, Nathan." Steven said to Nathan. "Garnet and I really needed this."

"Yeah…you're welcome." Nathan said distractedly, his mind far away.

"Something off? You seem distracted." Jexi said.

"It's, uh…well…" Nathan stammered, trying to find the words.

"Hey Steve, I know it's a happy day and all, but you don't have to cry that much!" Eddy called out to Steven in jest.

"Heh…yeah. Guess I was a little more emotional than I thought." Steven said wiping his tears before bigger beads started to fall. "Wait…you don't think…"

Garnet, having heard this, used her future vision. "Blue Diamond!" she said.

"Blue Diamond?! She's here?" Eddy asked in surprise.

"And she's not alone." Jexi said, looking up as they two arm ships, blue and yellow, approaching the area.

"Yellow and Blue?!" ZS said. "MAYDAY, MAYDAY! ALL CIVILIANS, HEAD FOR THE HILLS!"

The civilians ran for it as the two ships approached the beach.

"Come on, Diamonds! Bring it, we're right here!" Goku declared…as the two ships passed over them. "Huh? Where are they going?"

"They're not here for us. They must be here for the Cluster!" Steven realized in horror as Yellow Diamond's ship began to slam into the ground.

"I'm assuming that's a bad thing!" Emo said.

"It's a huge Earth-destroying geo-weapon that the Diamonds made out of a bajillion Gem shards." Steven explained.

"Right! Jexi, how fast can we destroy that ship?" Moltar asked.

"In our ship…shouldn't take too long." Jexi said.

"Right, looks like we're splitting up. Jexi, your team deals with Yellow's ship." Mark said as the group saw Blue Diamond's ship pass overhead. "As for us…we've got another Diamond to bubble."

As the Dimensional Heroes raced to the Galaxy King, Team Chronicle watched as Blue Diamond's ship turned to face the beach. It then raised up and slaps on the ground hard, throwing up seawater and sand across the area.

"Greg, Nathan, you two stay inside." Gohan said. "This is going to get dangerous."

The two headed inside as the Diamond's ship slowly rose back up, until Blue Diamond was revealed to be standing on the ground, her face obscured by a veil.

"Man, she looks much bigger than she was on the video camera…" Krillin noted.

"She can't beat us." Vegeta said, cracking his knuckles. "We'll have this done quickly."

"Wait, there's no reason to fight!" Steven spoke up. "She doesn't know about mom being Pink! If we can convince her of that-!"

"Rose Quartz." Blue Diamond spoke up, drawing the group's attention once more. "So you escaped Homeworld and crawled back here."

The Diamond lifted up her veil, revealing that she was crying tears of grief. "This is Pink's world! How dare you use it as your hiding place! Come! Answer for what you've done!"

"Doesn't look like she's in a talking mood, Steve." Eddy said.

"Come on, you rocks and others. Let's put her in a bubble!" Bismuth said as she morphed her arm into a hammer.

"Sounds like a plan!" Undyne agreed as the group prepared for battle.

"Wait, let me talk to her!" Steven begged the group, running down to the beach to face Blue. "Blue Diamond, please listen to me! I didn't shatter Pink Diamond! Pink Diamond's right here. It's pretty interesting when you think about it-"

"Enough!" Blue Diamond yelled as she launched an energy blast at Steven, hitting him. The half-gem was thrown back by the force before he was caught by Mark.

"If you've come for a fight, we're more than happy to oblige you, Blue Diamond." Mark said as a massive figure lept down behind him and roared at the Diamond. This was Alexandrite, a fusion of Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst.

"Damn, the gems have been holding out on us…" Emo said.

"Wait!" Steven called out.

"You cannot fathom how much I've mourned, what thousands of years of grief has done to me!" Blue Diamond cried as she buried her face in her hands, emitting a blue aura that caused all the gems in the area to start tearing up. Alexandrite unfused, causing the four main Crystal Gems to start crying uncontrollably.

"An offensive empath…" Mark surmised. "Alright, we can work with this."

"Mark!" Connie called out as she raced to his side, riding on Lion's back.

"Alright then…Team Chronicle!" Mark called out. "All-out Offense!"

The remaining members of the team charged Blue Diamond.

"Prepare to taste defeat, alien tyrant!" Ed declared as he jumped up, aiming to hit the opponent with a headbut. However, he was slapped away by Blue Diamond, sailing off before he was grabbed by Bardock.

"Damn it, Ed, I've told you to have a strategy!" Bardock yelled. "Front team!"

Eddy, Double D, Goku, and Gohan all stood together, the humans at Kaio-ken x5 and the Saiyans at Super Saiyan, all charging up the same attack.

"Kamehameha!" the four all launched their attacks, hitting Blue Diamond, causing her to stumble back.

"She stumbled, but there's no visible damage." Double D noted. "We'll require more power."

"Don't worry kid, we'll take it from here." Sans said as he, Papyrus, and Undyne stood together. "Time to get serious, bro."

"I'm the one who should be saying that to you!" Papyrus said as the two skeletons started levitating bones, Undyne summoning multiple spears.

"NNNGGHHAA! You're gonna pay for crashing Garnet's wedding!" Undyne declared as the three hurled the projectiles at Blue, hitting the mark.

"Enough of this!" Blue Diamond declared as she summoned forth a torrent of energy blasts, heading closer and closer to the group. Right before it reached them, a sparkling shield was raised up, blocking the projectiles.

"Princess Twilight, Rarity! Nice!" ZS said as the two ponies kept up the defense.

"I'm afraid it's not going to be up for long." Rarity-2 said. "Mark, darling, I hope you have a plan beyond simply buying time."

"I'm working on it!" Mark answered. "...Okay, I'm going melee. Who's with me?"

"I'm with you, Mark!" Connie agreed, raising Rose's sword.

"Hey, don't think you can leave the rest of us behind!" Lancer said.

"Heh, wouldn't dream of it." Mark smirked. "Okay, when I say now, the shield goes down and we get covering fire. Then we rush in all at once, she can't affect us with her emotion bomb. Alright…now!"

Princess Twilight and Rarity-2 brought the shield down, most of the group firing off multiple projectiles at Blue Diamond while Mark lead a charge with the rest of the group. Connie charged in ahead on Lion, the pink cat leaping up to give Connie a boost. The girl then jumped, holding the sword over her head with a battle cry, prepared to bring it down on the Diamond.

However, Blue Diamond caught the sword with her hand.

"I know this sword. This... is the sword... THAT SHATTERED HER!" Blue Diamond cried out before she shattered the sword into pieces.

"Connie!" Mark and Steven called out as Connie was sent plummeting down to the ground, fortunately caught by Lion.

"You're too hyper focused on the first strike, gem ruler!" Lancer called as the rest of the charging ground landed their attacks, Lancer himself getting a hit in on Blue Diamond's gem.

"Huh, didn't even crack." Lancer noted. "You're made of sturdy stuff, alright."

"Leave that…to me!" Mark said, his arms being covered in metal and his eyes glowing pure white. "Your grief is nothing…when compared to my wrath!"

Mark launched himself at Blue, roaring in anger as his fist met Blue Diamond's hand. "You think being sad gives you a pass to dominate others?! Screw you!"

"How dare you…you deserve this…all of you!" Blue Diamond declared as the blue aura around the area grew deeper, causing most of the group to start crying like the gems.

"Wh-What the… So sh-she can affect things besides Gems." Gohan realized through his tears.

"It's g-gonna take m-more than that to…to put me down!" Mark gritted his teeth, even as tears fell down his face.

"M-Mark's faltering…wh-what do we do?" Frisk asked through his tears.

"I don't know. She won't listen. She just wants to fight." Steven said.

"Blue Diamond!" Garnet called out as she got up and started marching towards the Diamond, drawing her attention away from Mark just in time as he fell to the sand, overcome by the emotion bomb.

"Who are you supposed to be?" Blue Diamond asked.

"I am the will of two Gems that care for each other. To protect each other from any threat. No matter how vast or how cruel. You couldn't stop me 5,750 years ago, and you can't stop me now."

"Now I remember! You're that Ruby and Sapphire who disrupted my court." Blue Diamond recalled.

"UGGGH!" Garnet cried out as she grabbed onto Blue Diamond's feet. "This was supposed to be my day!"

"And you hope to defeat me by…clinging to my feet?" Blue Diamond asked.

"I just needed to keep you from taking three steps to the right." Garnet said.

Blue Diamond looked up before a certain yellow handship fell right onto her, causing her aura to dissipate.

"Hey Mark, sorry. Were you wanting to handle that or…" Jexi asked from the King.

"Heh…thanks for the assist." Mark said as he got back up and wiped the tears from his eyes, the rest of Team Chronicle doing the same.

"Oi, great job guys!" Eddy called out. "Now uh…could you come back down please? We sorta need some help."

"What? Why?" Sunset asked as a panel in the yellow ship was kicked open. "Oh right…there's two of them."

A figure jumped right out of the ship as standing right there was Yellow Diamond herself.

"So, those other humans were correct. Rose Quartz has found allies from other worlds." Yellow Diamond mused, looking at the group. She turned her attention to her crashed ship, grabbing and raising it up, freeing Blue Diamond.

"Oh boy…" ZS gulped.

"Ha…I'm not afraid of her." Peridot said. "Hey! Yellow Clod! Remember me?"

"No." Yellow Diamond said coldly before zapping Peridot and poofing her.

"Okay….we…we might be screwed here." Kaminari said.

"Stop! Don't do this! I'm the one you want! I'm Pink Diamond!" Steven cried out.

Yellow then glared right at Steven. "You!" she said charging right at Steven as he went to guard.

"Steven!" the group called out as the boy raised a large shield. However, Yellow simply raised her foot and stomped hard on it, breaking it and plunging Steven to the ground.

"STEVEN!" Connie yelled as the group saw Steven lying prone on the ground, unconscious.

"Damn it, we lost our shielder. Mark, we need a new…plan?" Emo trailed off, seeing the aura forming around Mark. "Uh-oh…"

"Mark, Mark no! Now's not the time to lose it!" Bardock called out.

"You two…" Mark growled, taking a step forward, sending the aura around him out, bathing the area in red. "I'll shatter you both…with my bare hands!"

With that declaration and a roar of rage, Mark launched himself at the Diamonds as the two fired beams of energy at him.

Steven's eyes fluttered open, seeing a dark sky above him, Connie calling out to him.

"Steven! Come on, we need you!" Connie said, her voice muffled.

"I'm up, I'm up. What's going on? Connie, I'm right here." Steven said. As he tried to reach for her, his hand passed through her. "What the?" he said before looking around to see representations of the other heroes and the Gems.

"Is that all you got? I can take it!" Lapis called out before being zapped and poofed.

"Lapis!" Steven called out.

"Steven, come on! Wake up!" Connie called out.

"Connie…" Steven said before he passed right through her.

"Huh?" she asked in curiosity.

"Connie! It's me!" Steven said.

"Wha- Where are you? How are you...?" Connie asked as she looked around.

"I'm not sure, but I think it's a classic psychic ghost type situation." Steven tried to explain.

"Ah, of course." Connie realized. "So, what's the plan?"

"The Diamonds won't listen to me out there, but maybe I can get through to them here. They gotta know Pink Diamond wasn't shattered. Please protect my body while I'm gone." Steven asked.

"Got it. Good luck out there, Steven." Connie said as Steven began to hop from mind to mind to get to the Diamonds.

First Garnet…

"This is it. I've got to hold it together. I've got to hold everyone together!"

"You can do it, Garnet! Remember: You're made of love!"

"Steven? Huh! Always full of surprises."

Then Amethyst…

"Don't get shattered, don't get shattered, don't get shattered!"

"You can do this, Amethyst; I believe in you!"

"Steven? I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!"

Next was Pearl…

"I won't give up. Everything I do, I do it for her! I do it for him!"

"Don't forget about yourself, Pearl!"

"I do it for me!"

Followed by Bismuth…

"I just got my friends back, and now, I'm gonna lose 'em again?!"

"We can do this! Together!"

"What am I thinking? We haven't lost yet!"

Connected to Jexi…

"These two are tough. I gotta keep going. Can't fall here."

"You've got this, Jexi! You've won against Gold, you can win here!"

"Got that right. I'm not stopping…not until these two go down."

After that was Mark…

"Make them pay. They hurt your friend, they don't deserve mercy."

"Don't let your anger make decisions! You're a hero, not a killer!"

"Steven? Right. Calm down and keep your mind open…"

And finally, Peridot and Lapis…

"Hang in there, Peridot. You too, Lapis."

At last Steven had reached the Diamonds, flying up towards where their mental projections were.

"How miserable. I knew Pink couldn't handle her own colony. But, I gave in. And now, I'm to blame for her fate."

"What good will any of this do? The more I make these Gems and their allies suffer, the more I long to see you again, Pink."

Steven tried to make contact with them, only to be pushed back by their aura. "Ah! Their thoughts are too strong! I need…to push harder! What's that thing that they say in Izuku's world…?"

Steven tried again, this time pushing through until he managed to get a hand on Blue Diamond's head.

"Blue Diamond, please listen! Wa-Waahh!" Steven was pushed back again, but this time, managed to get something through.

"What was that? I felt…someone…?"

"It worked! I need to try again!" Steven said as he swam through a third time. "Pink isn't gone! I can explain everything if you just stopped this fighting! Wooaahh!" he said as he was forced back.

"There it is again."

"What are you jabbering about?"

"A presence! It feels like…"

"Please, Blue. You're being hysterical. More so than usual."

This slight distraction on Yellow's part allowed Steven to get close and touch her as well, allowing her to feel the same presence.

"Listen, Yellow! Pink's fate is different than you think. She faked her shattering!" Steven tried to explain before, once again, being thrown back.

"This feeling. I know it!"

"It must be a trick! Show yourself, foe!"

"Please, listen!"

"There!"

Both Blue and Yellow went and attacked Steven with lightning. As they did though, Steven's gem started to glow.

"Please, the fighting has to stop. We aren't enemies; we're family. Please listen to me. I need you to know... WHO I AM!"

The light stretched out as it enveloped the two Diamonds.

"Impossible…"

"This aura…"

The light soon subsided as Steven soon snapped back into reality as the group looked down at him as did the two Diamonds.

"It's you…Pink…" Blue Diamond said.

"(Well, not exactly…but we can make baby steps for now…)" Mark thought.

As the group caught their breath after the fight, Nathan looked towards the sky in worry.

"(They're still coming… And I could tell by her tone of voice. She's got a plan to deal with the heroes. But what is it?)" he wondered.
