Everyone knew that Hermione'a favorite book was Hogwarts a History.
The trio headed towards Hogsmead and Hermione was excited to go to the bookstore Tomes and Scrolls.
After they headed to the ice cream shop, Harry and Ron went to Zonko's joke shop while she went to the bookstore.
Hermione was too excited about finding the first edition of Hogwarts of History because she was told that there was a first edition, when she bumped into someone.
"Watch where you are going!" Someone snarled
"My apologies," Hermione mumbled. Then she recognized the man before her. She blushed
"Just look where you are going, Miss Granger." He said while narrowing his eyes at her.
She nodded then walked past him to the counter.
The owner of the shop smiled at her and asked, "what can I do for you?"
"I heard that you have the first edition copy of Hogwarts a History?" She asked hopefully.
The shop owner smiled. "Of course," he paused to take the book from the glass. When he placed the book on the table he muttered, "That will be 10 galleons."
Hermione was glad that she had saved her money for this big expense. She beamed at him. "I'll take it!"
After their exchange, she grabbed the book delicately then sat down on the bench outside of the shop.
Sitting down on the bench, she placed her book on her legs then looked up to find none other than Professor Snape staring at her with hopeful eyes. She raised her right eyebrow curiously at her when a letter slipped out of the book.
Hermione gasped. She wasn't sure she was ready for another letter. She looked up to find that The Potions Master had left. She frowned then opened the letter.
Dear Hermione,
I don't think I can take another minute of the meetings with The Dark Lord. I need you now more than ever. I have to keep secrets on both sides, Hermione. The torchure I go through everyday, Hermione. Not only I go through the torchure but I am forced to torchure people. I have to depend on Poppy to heal me and I can't even take a day off from this torchure of a duty that I call being a spy.
Ps: I hope you're safe. I always think about you.
Love,
Severus
Hermione didn't realize she was crying when her two best friends were looking at her oddly.
"Sorry I had something in my eyes," she muttered, then placed the letter back in her new book and walked off with her friends back to the castle.
