The scene reopened to the morning after the battle as Steven was being held by Blue Diamond.
"Ah... Oh, Pink! I can't believe it! You've been here all along! Oh!" Blue Diamond cried out as she continued to hold Steven while crying tears of joy.
"We can't just hand over Steven. She's a shatterer." Garnet said as the gems were uncontrollably crying.
"Come on. She's not gonna hurt him. Look at her." Bismuth pointed out. "They actually think he's one of them."
"Aw…a happy family reunion." Pinkie said.
"Then somebody make her stop crying!" Amethyst yelled desperately.
"Aw…you guys are happy about this too. You're crying for joy." Sonata said.
"Are you okay?" Connie asked.
"We're fine. It's just Blue Diamond's power. She's just relieved that Pink Diamond wasn't shattered after all this time." Pearl said.
Meanwhile, several members of the group stood on the beach, watching Yellow Diamond trying to reactivate her and Blue Diamond's ships.
"We could probably fix these up, given a week or so." Alkal guessed, before one of the fingers on Yellow Diamond's ship fell off. "...Maybe two."
"Hmm." Yellow humed before she approached the house. "How could you do this to us, Pink? Why did you let us think you were shattered? Why the strange disguise? Why are you doing a voice? Why didn't you say something at the trial? And Blue, can you please stop crying? I can't see."
"Sorry." Blue Diamond said as she dried her tears and put Steven down onto the house's deck.
"My mom kept it secret from everyone." Steven explained.
"A-hem…!" Pearl coughed.
"Almost everyone." Steven corrected himself.
"What are you talking about?" Yellow asked.
"Well, apparently Mom... Oh, geez, you don't know what a mom is…" Steven realized. "Okay! Pink Diamond took the form of Rose Quartz permanently after faking her shattering. Then Rose Quartz gave up that form to create a new life with my Dad: me. Rose passed her gemstone and some of her powers onto me, but... that's all. I... I don't have any of Pink or Rose's memories... I'm sorry…"
"It's true. He didn't even know until he came back here." Mark spoke up.
"Hmm. I'm sure your memories are in there somewhere, Pink." Yellow said.
"I actually go by Steven." Steven pointed out.
"Yeah, there's a lot of things we gotta catch you two up on…" Eddy said.
"Oh, stars! How did you even survive?!" Blue asked. "We blasted the planet and obliterated every Gem on its surface!"
"Wait, is that what you meant to happen?" Mark asked.
"Cause according to these guys, they weren't exactly…obliterated." Eijiro said.
The group later arrived at an old Gem colony ship as the doors were opened as inside were many different centipede-like Gem monsters.
"What…am I looking at?" Yellow asked in surprise. "No one should have survived our attack."
"What you're looking at is your handiwork." Emo said. "That blast didn't shatter the Gems, it corrupted them. There's tons of Gem monsters like these guys all over the place."
"Centipeetle's mind is broken. I've tried to heal her, but... It didn't stick." Steven said.
"Heal her?" Yellow asked, taken aback.
"But maybe you two can help her! You're so much stronger than me, and... I got close!" Steven said.
"That's not something we normally do…" Blue Diamond pointed out.
"This is completely unprecedented!" Yellow Diamond pointed out.
"But you did this to her…and all of them. In short, you are responsible for fixing the mess you created." Jexi said.
"Hmm…very well. I'll see what I can do." Yellow said as she approached. She rubbed her hands together as sparks came as she touched the corrupted Gem, changing its form to a more humanoid appearance. "There. Good as new." she said as the Gem continued to make monster noises as it flailed its limbs. "Hmm…she may be too far gone."
"Gently, Yellow." Blue Diamond said as she touched the Gem, healing its mind. "There we go."
"No! Please no! No! No! We're all gonna be-!" the Gem said as she started to cry.
"Centi?" Steven asked. He then licked his palm before touching the Gem as she started to calm down before it started to salute.
"Nephrite! Facet-413 Cabochon-12!" the new Gem said.
"Whoa, it worked!" Eddy exclaimed.
"I'm sorry for my failure to heed my Hessonite's evacuation orders... My team and I tried our best to make it out before the attack, but... You're here and it must've worked! You finally avenged Pink Diamond! You destroyed Rose Quartz!" Nephite said with joy.
The two Diamond's were stunned as they pulled back their arms as Nephite reverted back into her corrupted form.
"Ugh, Pink. How many perfectly adequate Gems did you have us ruin?" Yellow DIamond asked.
"Shh, Yellow! Pink's been punished enough. She's been trapped here in this awful planet with these... creatures." Blue Diamond spoke, trying to keep her fellow Diamond calm.
"Do it again! It was working!" Steven said.
"How long do you expect us to hold her together?" Yellow asked.
"She has a point, Steven." Frisk admitted. "Even with the three of you, it's not enough."
"Hold on, there's a fourth, Diamond, right?" RD-2 mentioned.
"Oh no. We cannot let her see this." Blue Diamond said.
"Who?" Steven asked.
"What do you mean 'who'? White." Yellow Diamond said.
A number of the gems were dumbstruck upon the mention of the name.
"W-White D-Diamond?" Pearl uttered.
"I take it she has a…reputation." SE guessed.
"White Diamond isn't like us. She's not even like the other Diamonds. You all have no idea what she's capable of." Pearl said.
"Well, it's not like we haven't faced things like that before." Undyne pointed out.
"I dunno, we were pretty much at a stalemate with Yellow and Blue before Steven convinced them." Moltar countered. "Granted, it's not like we were going full cylinders, but still…"
"Wait, we don't need to force her or anything." Steven spoke up. "I just want to talk."
"You might not have much luck. White hasn't left Homeworld in eons." Blue Diamond pointed out.
"Then we'll go to her. We were planning on going to Homeworld anyway, for a rescue mission." Mark said.
"Yeah, right, we gotta get this Lars guy." Emo said. "We can take the Galaxy King. It's huge, even you two Diamonds will fit in."
"Hmm…as if we would disgrace ourselves by walking into some other worldly vessel. And our own ships are ruined." Yellow Diamond said.
"Unless…Pink…do you still have your ship?" Blue Diamond asked.
The group stood in a desert, Steven walking ahead of them.
"This place is filled with Mom's junk, so there's a good chance it's buried around here! We can split up the area like a grid and divide the search! It's just past these pink pyramids!" Steven pointed to the landmarks.
"...Uh, Steven? Have you ever touched those pyramids?" Double D asked.
"No, why?" Steven asked.
"Oh, for the love of…do it right now." Emo suggested.
"Okay then." Steven said, leaning on the right pyramid. "But I'm not sure where you're going with-"
Just then, the ground started to rumble as Pink Diamond's ship, shaped like a pair of legs, rose out of the sand.
"Well, Steven, you better pick up that phone, cause we called it." Emo said flatly.
"Heh…yes you did." Steven chuckled sheepishly.
"Is it weird that I'm kinda attracted to them?" Mineta asked.
"Yes it is, now stop." Mark stated.
Later, the group were back on the beach as Steven and the Gems were preparing to ship off with the Diamonds.
"So…you'll follow us…right?" Steven asked.
"Of course. Once you take off, we'll take the Galaxy King and follow after you to Homeworld." Jexi said.
"Yeah…follow them to Homeworld…" Nathan said. "(Maybe if they're in two ships, they won't get captured? Maybe…but if I know her, she'll find a way.)"
"We're ready whenever you are, Steven." Mark assured the young half-gem.
"Gotcha!" Steven replied as he went to say goodbye to his dad.
"So, it looks like we're heading straight to the lion's den, Jexi." Mark said. "Gotta say, I'm a little nervous."
"If they roar…we just gotta roar back twice as loud. That's the way of nature." Jexi said.
"Yeah, right. Luckily, I can roar very loud." Mark chuckled. "You think the others will be done of the KOF tournament by the time we're done?"
"Probably not." Jexi said.
"Oh, right." Mark responded. "Well, I guess that means we get a few days to celebrate our victory, huh? We'll just see what happens."
"Ok, we're ready!" Steven called out. "Let's go to Homeworld!"
"And there's our cue!" Mark said as the group boarded their ships. However, Eddy noticed Bismuth still on the beach.
"Hey, isn't Bismuth coming?" the boy asked.
"Nah, I overheard her talking to Steven. She said she was staying to keep watch over Peridot and Lapis." Scarlet explained.
"Oh, okay then." Eddy said as the group finished boarding.
As soon as the Gem's ship took off, the Galaxy King followed soon after. As Nathan was being sent to the prison cells, his phone rang once more as he answered.
"Well…seems things are going even better than we planned. They're all going to the same place. Makes our plans much more simpler." said Energy Crisis on the comm as Nathan answered. "I take it you are aboard their ship right now?"
"Uh…yeah." Nathan said.
"Well, here's what is going to happen. I'd like you to grab onto something solid and connected to the wall. Right now." Energy Crisis said.
Nathan quickly grabbed onto a door as a sort of field surrounded the Galaxy King as they all felt themselves being pushed down by a strong force.
"What…the heck? I can't move?" Gray asked.
"It's…some kind of inertia field." Twilight said.
"Inertia field?" Eddy asked. "What the heck is that?"
"It means that any force that's applied to it, the field will resist and reflect it." Double D answered. "But where is it coming from?"
As if to answer Double D's question, a massive ship dropped out of warp, dwarfing the Galaxy King as the ship started to be pulled in.
"Dudes, what the hell is going on?!" ZS asked frantically.
"This…is a boarding party." a voice said as a figure arrived along with a few soldiers. "Make sure to capture all of them. Only after will I lift the field."
"So this was your doing. Let me guess…you're with Dark Future, aren't you?" Jexi asked.
"You got that right." the figure confirmed, revealed to be a woman with veins of energy coursing across her skin. "I am Energy Crisis, 4th sub-leader of Dark Future, and the one in charge of Operation: Mining."
"Operation…Mining?" Shirou asked.
"Operation: Mining is the capture of the species known as Gems and turning them into living batteries for Dark Future." Energy Crisis said. "I was planning to capture the Crystal Gems, then move on to Homeworld. But…now we have them all in one place. Saves us a lot of trouble."
"You really think you can take on all of Homeworld?" Scarlet asked. "Heck, we struggled against two of the Diamonds! What makes you think you can take all four at once?"
"Why do you think they call me Energy Crisis?" the aptly named woman asked. "I can absorb and redirect any and all forms of energy. Gems use energy projections. Do the math."
"What do we do with them?" one of the soldiers asked.
"Take them to the holding cells on our ships, also, don't even think of tearing this ship apart. I want to present it to Negativity as a sign of my accomplishment." Energy Crisis said.
"Yes!" the soldiers sounded off as they started to escort out the captured heroes one by one.
"One group down…and one too go." Energy Crisis said as she patted Nathan on the shoulder. "Nice job, Nathan. You can expect a raise once we return to the World of Ruin."
"Yeah…thanks." Nathan said distantly as he watched the group being dragged out, guilt in his eyes.
