It's been two days and Hermione was going crazy with not being able to find a letter from Severus. She first thought it was in her bed, so she tore down her bed and found nothing.

She slammed her leg against the bed and sighed.

All of a sudden, she almost forgot that she had detention with Snape and had to meet him at his office for some reason.

Hermione put on her school robes, when she perfected the rest of her appearance, she walked towards Professor Snape's office. She frowned.

Hermione wasn't sure why he was doing this to her? She already felt bad enough as it is that she had left to go back to her own time. She had no choice but to return.

As she arrived she knocked on the door, but no one was there. She had the right time didn't she? No one had answered. She checked the door and it seemed like it was unlocked.

After she opened the door, she took a seat on the chair at the desk. Her eyes went wide when she saw an envelope with her name on it. Herrmione's heart was pounding as she looked around the room.

Should she open it? Her hand's were shaking by the time she reached the envelope. She had just opened the envelope when the door slammed. Hermione jumped.

"I see you found the note," Severus drawled.

"Why are you doing this?" Hermione demanded.

"Doing what?" Severus gritted his teeth.

She held up her letter with impatience.

"I don't see why I have to explain any of this to you," Severus snarled.

"You've been cold to me since I first met you," Hermione stood from her seat, forgetting about her detention. "I've lost count how many detentions I've had. Some of the detentions were for no reason! And I've had more than Harry and Ron," she said with a pointed look.

"I -." Severus scratched his forehead.

Hermione was baffled by his emotions, as she had never seen him like this before.

"I am sorry that we can't be together in this time frame," Severus sighed.

"And that's why you've been cold to me," Hermione frowned and crossed her arms.

Severus nodded with confirmation.

Hermione walked close to Severus, he stepped back. She had a look of frustration. "Dammit, Severus!"

"I can't," Severus wheezed as if he was in pain.

"Then I don't want your letters!" Hermione growled then shoved the last letter she hadn't read then.

Severus had a look of shock. When the letter fell to the floor, she fled his office.
