"Yes…that is absolutely correct, Negativity. Through my impressive efforts, I've single handedly captured both the Dimensional Heroes and Team Chronicle of the Alliance. I've even acquired the Galaxy King as a victory gift to you. I plan on delivering it to you as soon as the mining operation is finished." Energy Crisis bragged to her superior.
"Hmm…well, I give you points for capturing them at all." Negativity said over the comm. "However, I would advise you not to take chances. After all, executing the heroes would bring the Ultimate Hope, The Nephilim Prince, and the Ice Demon down on our heads. Find a place to dump them before you continue on with your operation."
"Hmm…well…how about this…after the mining is done, I'll chuck them into a nearby black hole. The perfect place to ditch the trash we don't need." Energy Crisis suggested.
"No, we don't want them dead." Negativity said. "Send them to the Desert Universe instead, I'm sure they can handle some sun and sand. As for their ship, study what you can of it, then dump it. Like I said, the last thing we need is to give the Alliance a reason to come after us."
"If you insist, Negativity." Energy Crisis responded as the call ended, before turning to a nearby technician. "You, get a portal to the Desert Universe open."
"Yes ma'am. It'll take some time, but we'll get it open." the technician assured her before turning back to the monitor and beginning the process.
"(Outwitting two teams of the Hero Alliance and capturing a whole species in the same day! We are on fire today!)" Energy Crisis internally commended herself. "(We've got this in the bag!)"
"Well this sucks." Emo stated as the group was trapped inside of a box composed of inertia fields. "Surrounded on all sides by inertia fields, Anti-Magic Field Generators lining the room, and to top it all off, they got our ship too. Yep, it's official: we're officially hooped."
"Yeah…looks like they got us good. Doubt it's gonna take them long to reach Homeworld. All those Gems…they have no idea they're in so much danger." Lucy said.
"Frankly, I'm more worried about Steven and the Crystal Gems than Homeworld." ZS said. "They're probably worried about us right now."
"Unless they've been taken as Homeworld prisoners." Robin said. "They're probably getting tortured in a manner of ways." she said with a light tone.
"That's kinda creepy." SE said. "Also not helpful."
"Damn it all! There's gotta be some way outta this!" Mark growled as he punched one of the walls, only to jerk his hand back with a yell as the field bounced the force back.
"Don't bother. These inertia fields will just send any physical attack we launch right back at us." Twilight said.
"There's gotta be something we can do. Get a message out, phase through the field, pray for a miracle, something!" Mark countered.
"Message…Oh my god, message!" Tails said in realization as he removed his comm. "I still have a comm…so does Steven and Connie. I just need to rewrite it and we should be able to get a visual of what is happening right now."
Through some rewiring, a visual started to get through. It was a bit scrambled but they could see a number of gems in a large room.
"Hmm…it's coming in fuzzy. These guys must be trying to jam communication signals so the Gems won't call for help from other colonies." Tails said.
"Can you work around it?" Shirou asked.
"I can try. For now, we'll have to work with a visual look." Tails said.
"Is this…some kind of ball?" Rarity asked. "This isn't fair. We're trapped and missing the party of a lifetime."
"It must be a party to usher the Gems into Era-3 since Pink Diamond aka Steven, was found alive." Sheer said.
"Looks kinda…I dunno, wrong." Eddy pointed out. "That doesn't look fun at all."
"Well, it definitely won't be if and when the attack happens." Scarlet said. "Hopefully the others can hold out until we find a way out of here."
"I still can't believe Nathan stabbed us in the back." Rainbow said.
"Yeah, and after everything we went through!" Undyne added.
"But he was only with us for a couple days, and we had him tied up for the first half-day of it." Archer reminded them. "That's hardly enough time to make that big of an impression, even if they do have a good heart."
"Yeah…I guess you're-" Mark started to say before the door into the room opened, a squadron of Dark Future soldiers coming in.
"It's your lucky day heroes, you're going on a vacation to the Desert Universe." the lead soldier said. "Alright, boys, activate the hover-lifts on the cage, and be careful not to hit the big red button on the panel. It'll deactivate the field."
"You mean this one?" one of the soldiers, wearing a full, body-covering suit of futuristic armor, asked as he pointed at a panel on the front of the field.
"Yeah, that's it. Don't push-" the lead soldier started to repeat before the soldier pushed the button, causing the field to flicker and disappear. "...Oh, you sonova-"
"Go and die!" Bakugo called out as he blasted his way out before attacking the lead soldier.
"Such a rookie mistake to make. First day or something or are you trying to get fired?" Aria asked.
"More like handing in my pink slip." the soldier said, their helmet receding to reveal that it was none other than Nathan.
"Nathan!" Ed exclaimed. "You saved us!"
"I couldn't just standby and leave you guys to some unknown face." Nathan said. "Who cares about being a singer if you've got no friends? Besides, I'm the one who pretty much inspired the wedding; I'd hate myself if I'm the reason it was split up for good."
"Words to live by." SE said. "Now come on, we gotta get to the King and get to Homeworld."
"That may be a problem…we're almost at Homeworld." Nathan said. "Just a couple hours away."
"Hey, what's going on in…Ah!" a soldier said as they saw the heroes free. The soldier then pressed a button on the wall, causing alarms to start blaring.
"Well, that complicates things." Sir Saiyan said calmly. "Fellow heroes…charge!"
"The alarms!" Energy Crisis said. "Don't tell me…" she said, checking the security system. "Damn it…how did they get out?! Ugh…how much longer till we get to Homeworld?"
"If we continue on course…it'll be an hour to two…" one of the soldiers said.
"Make it 10 minutes. Channel extra power to the engines if you must. Then prep the miners for the operation." Energy Crisis said. "I want to begin as soon as we arrive. And tell the people where their ship is to prepare for a fight."
The group raced through the halls of Dark Future's ship, barreling through any soldiers that attempted to stop them.
"The Galaxy King's in Docking Bay 15." Nathan said. "There are guards there, led by Captain "Metal-Melter" Peterson. He's the bastard captain I was talking to Hayase about before."
"I'm guessing he has that nickname for a reason." SE guessed.
"His sword works wonders against metal-based entities." Nathan explained. "He bought it from Dark Temple, the sector for the Shinto Universe. Like I said, bastard, so watch yourselves around him."
The group raced into the docking bay to see their beloved ship, surrounded by a huge group of soldiers. Standing at the front of the opposing group was a man decked out in titanium armor, with a sword sheath at his hip.
"Well, well, well, lookie what we got here, boys and girls." the man started. "The Hero Alliance, all ready to head off and save the day yet again. Only this time, they're gonna crash and burn. Hard."
"Surrender the ship." Jexi said.
"What, that old thing?" the man asked, pointing back to the ship. "Oh, we're planning on getting rid of it anyway…once we've studied all its secrets. By the end of next year, Dark Future'll have a whole fleet of Galaxy Kings."
"Don't be too sure about that. We ain't letting you get one peek at it!" Eddy declared.
"Oh please. You can't stand against Dark Garden." the man scoffed. "We practically run the Multiverse without anybody being none the wiser. You can take down a few platoons or so, but you can't win against us. And you sure as hell can't save Homeworld and the Gems."
"We can certainly try!" Alkal said defiantly.
"Man, what a loud-mouth robot…" the man said, drawing his sword. "We'll see how mouthy you are once you're a pile of scrap! Get 'em!"
The Dark Future soldiers charged, while the captain flicked his wrist, causing several metal containers in the corner of the bay to start levitating. With a forward thrust, he sent the boxes hurtling towards the group.
"We got this." some of the heroes said as they knocked a number of the boxes away.
"So this guy uses some sort of magnetism." Twilight said.
"Makes sense for a guy from Dark Future." ZS said. "Why else would he carry around a japanese blade?"
"That blade…why do you have the Kinzoku no Goroshi?" Hayase asked.
"Oh, you like it?" Peterson smirked. "Bought it from Dark Temple, the Shinto sector, and made a few modifications of my own. Heard about you looking for 'em, by the way and I gotta say, I admire the ruthlessness you got, kid."
"So…this will be the first blade I reclaim on my journey." Hayase said, gripping his own blade.
"I wouldn't be so sure about myself, kid." Peterson smirked. "I'm gonna enjoy crushing you!"
Dark Future Captain
Captain "Metal-Melter" Peterson
"So…what's the deal with that sword?" Sunset asked.
"Kinzoku no Goroshi…it is the Metal Slaying Blade. Capable of cutting through metal like it were paper and cutting anyone able to use the element or is made of it." Hayase said. "But by what he said…he's changed it somehow?"
"It's likely a tool for his magnetism." Twilight said.
"Hmm…he can be taken care of…just keep him using as much of his metal as possible." Kidd said.
"Of course." Hayase said running in at Peterson.
"Uh, uh!" Peterson said firing a number of metal projectiles at the swordsman, keeping him as far back as possible. "Let's see you cut me down from that far away!"
"Damn it…I can't get close." Hayase said as he was on the defensive as metal was continuously hurled at him.
"Ha! This is way too…easy?" he asked as the metal was flying to one particular point as two large arms were formed.
"Thanks for providing me with all the metal, little minnow." Kidd said before pulling the fists back before firing off a number of projectiles at Peterson who quickly raised his blade in defense.
"Oh, so you have a few tricks, huh? Well, anything you can do…I can match!" Peterson said as, instead of repelling the metal, he directed it towards his blade, causing the metal to cling to the blade and form a giant club. "Get bashed!" he yelled, bringing the weapon slamming down to the ground, almost crushing Hayase.
"Hmm…wow…what a truly pathetic display." Hayase said.
"What did you say? I'll go and…" Peterson said, lifting the weapon once more before Hayase closed in. "What the?"
"The plan to go bigger, it isn't necessarily a bad one. However, it has a major flaw. The moment you unleash it, it'll take too long to lift back up for the next attack." Hayase said. "So…anything you would like to say before your life reaches its climax?"
"...I'll say hello to your old man in Hell, daddy's boy." Peterson snarled in defiance.
"Sorry…but I think you'll just be there alone." Hayase said before slashing across the man's throat, leaving him to collapse as he dropped the sword. "If there is any life left, you should know…the only reason I killed you isn't cause you are a wielder or with Dark Garden…it's because you went and tampered with a masterpiece." he said as he collected the sword. "Scum like you…who think they can try and ruin perfect creations…make me sick."
"Okay…looks like we got the dock locked down." Jexi said. "How much longer till they hit Homeworld?"
"Uh…not much…cause we're here!" Double D said looking out the window to see the Gem Homeworld. From other docking bays, the group saw multiple ships taking off, all heading to the planet.
"Oh no, it's already starting!" ZS said. "We'll never make it in time to warn them!"
"Maybe not in the ship, but…" Mark mused. "Nathan, give me your suit!"
"Wait, what?" Nathan asked, even as he took the suit off and handed it to Mark.
"This thing can do a spacewalk, can't it?" Mark asked. "I'll fly to the planet, find Steven, and warn him. The rest of you get the King up and running!"
As he finished putting the suit on, the half-angel powered up and flew out of the Docking Bay, traveling fast towards Homeworld.
"Well, guess we'll meet up with him on the surface." Moltar mused.
"Okay, let's get the King running!" Eddy declared as he raced inside. "Hope these clowns didn't break anything…"
