Pilot

Ah, summer break. A time for leisure, recreation, and taking 'er easy…

Unless you're me- Bill thought as he chased a being of pretty average horror through the woods. Which is to say he was chasing his brother, Kill, who was being chased by a completely different horror.

It all began when their parents decided they needed a breath of fresh air- their parents, not the triplets, the triplets got outside a lot. It was their parents who needed a break.

So, they shipped the triplets up north to a sleepy town called Gravity Falls, Oregon, to stay at their great-uncle's place in the woods, while they flew out to Hawaii.

That was how Kill, Will, and Bill Cipher found themselves alone on an empty bus for 19 hours.

As the bus neared Gravity Falls, Kill sharpened his pocket knife with a scowl.

"Come on, Kill," Will said softly, trying to tidy Kill's unruly red hair. "I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Just think, there'll be plenty of losers to swindle!" Bill said, grinning ear-to-ear.

"What Bill is trying to say," Will looked sternly at Bill. "Is that there'll be lots of interesting people to get to know."

"That's easy for you two to say," Kill grumbled. "You two didn't exactly have friends back home. You think this is a chance to get away from your reputations as a loner and a smartass."

Will fell silent.

"Hey!" Bill kicked Kill. "I've got plenty of friends, nerd."

"Oh yeah?" Kill growled. "Like that thousand-year-old lunch lady who thinks you're her boyfriend?"

"Yeesh, no!" Bill gagged. "I was conning her to get extra lunch. I ditched her as soon as I started packing."

"That's not what I heard." Kill cackled.

"See? You're already feeling better." Will encouraged Kill. "We've got each other. We're gonna be okay."

"I guess…" Kill sighed and put away his pocket knife. "But it still won't be any fun."

As Kill resigned to lean back with his arms crossed, Bill thought he saw a dark shadow peer out from behind a tree. He blinked and it was gone.

Soon, the bus slowed and came to a stop.

"618 Gopher Road, Gravity Falls, Oregon," A voice said over the intercom.

The triplets stepped off of the bus and were greeted by the sight of a white, pillared building that cast a blinding reflection of the sun.

"Welcome travelers, to the Seer's Citadel." A man in a white suit greeted them with a bow, his voice unwavering.

"Relax, Uncle Ax," Bill rolled his eyes. "It's just us."

"I know, but I have to keep this act up for the tourists," Their uncle, Timothy Axolotl, mumbled as he bowed to a passing couple.

As soon as the couple was in the distance, Uncle Ax led them inside the Seer's Citadel.

The inside of the citadel was less impressive than the outside. The ceiling was low and the decor was sparse and sterile.

"Please don't use either of the restrooms" Uncle Ax said, rubbing his eyes and accentuating the dark circles beneath them. "I just had them cleaned. If you need to use one, there's a port-a-john out back."

"Thank you for letting us know," Will spoke before either of his siblings could complain.

"Now that that's out of the way, you boys get comfortable." Uncle Ax said, staring off distractly. "Your room is upstairs."

Uncle Ax ran his hand through his hair and walked into a backroom, only to duck out of the door seconds later.

"And Boys?" Uncle Ax said.

Will nodded as his brothers wandered off.

"You are not permitted to enter this room under any circumstances." Uncle Ax said, peering behind him into the backroom anxiously.

With that, he slammed the door shut.
