An innocent man was sound asleep in his home. Suddenly, he woke up and could feel a cold shiver down his spine. He followed the feeling as he walked over to his window. When he looked down, he was shocked to see someone standing outside of his house. It looked like some sort of zombie, but he had the skull of goat for a head.

"It's the Horned Man!" The man said. He hurried to his front door out of fear to make sure it was locked. He hurried to his door, but he saw a card slip right through it. He knew he shouldn't, but he had to look. He grabbed the card and saw the head of that man on the card. That was when everything went dark for the man.

...

The Gang

"Thanks for the ride, and for coming along, guys." Lucy said as the gang drove down the road after finishing something up. "Having some friends around during my father's boring meetings make things a little better."

"I was wondering if your old man was ever going to stop talking." Natsu said. "I swear I was about to die from boredom." Happy felt the same as he acted something like that out.

"I say we hit the park or something." Erza said. "Let's try and get ourselves active and moving after that."

"Good idea. I'll cut through this neighborhood and take a shortcut." Gray said as he made a turn and drove into a neighborhood. When they got there, Lucy noticed something was off when she saw some for sale signs on different houses.

"That's weird." Lucy said. "This neighborhood has some of the better houses. I wonder why there's so many of them for sale."

"It is weird. You usually see one of those signs, but not in a neighborhood like this one." Erza said. "I wonder what's going on."

"Maybe it's bad market or something." Natsu said.

"There's someone showing off one of those houses. Maybe he can tell us what's going on." Gray said. They saw a real-estate guy finished showing off a house as a couple just left. Gray pulled up the Myster-V to the house with the agent acting professional.

"Hello! Welcome! Glad you could make it. Please just sign in, and I have cookies if you want some."

"Cookies!" Natsu said as he and Happy like the sound of that.

"Do you know us?" Lucy asked.

"Aren't you here to look at this house and try to buy one?"

"Even between the five of us, we can't afford a house like this one." Gray said. "We just wanted to know why there were so many houses for sale."

"Aw! You haven't heard, have you? Let me introduce myself. I'm the best real-estate agent around. My name is Edward Nells, for your future home." He said as he handed his business card to them. "I'm just merely showing off these houses that are for sale. Many people just don't feel safe staying here anymore. They're all afraid of the Horned Man."

"Horned Man?!" They all questioned.

"You haven't heard, have you?" Edward said.

"Heard what? What's the Horned Man?" Lucy questioned.

"The Horned Man is a zombie-like figure with the skull of a goat for a head that comes out at night." Edward said. "He's been haunting these places for some time now. Whenever he shows up, he leaves this strange card with his head on it. He's hospitalized so many people. His victims haven't said, moved, or done anything."

"Creepy." Lucy said as it was a little unsettling.

"Yes, and because of that, many people are scared to live here. They think they'll be his next victim." Edward said as he was giving them all the creeps. "Of course, it's just some silly story. It's probably someone just playing some sort of prank. I'm not letting that stopping me from doing my job. Now, if you kids will excuse me, I have to get back to work." He excused himself and went back to work, leaving the others to ponder about this whole thing.

"That Horned Man does sound like a creeper." Natsu said. "Glad I don't live around here."

"Why would some sort of zombie be haunting a place like this?" Erza said.

"Sounds like we've got another mystery." Gray said. Thinking this all sounds mysterious, they decided to investigate on the matter. Lucy started as she pulled out her computer and see if there was any truth to what Edward told them.

"It looks like Mr. Nells was telling the truth about those people." Lucy said. "Many people have been hospitalized under unknown circumstances. The only clue to what has happened is a strange card with the skull of a goat on it. I take it that's the Horned Man's calling card."

"Sounds like he does give people a good scare." Erza said. "Those who haven't been hospitalized are trying to move out, and when people are able to move again, they're still scared that the Horned Man will come back for them."

"But why would this Horned Man be haunting these people?" Natsu said.

"That's what we need to find out." Gray said. They were going to investigate some more until Happy felt a bony hand tough him and gave him a good scare. They all looked and saw an elderly man that looked creepy.

"Aw! Are you learning of the Horned Man?"

"Yes. Who are you?" Lucy asked.

"Ebenezer Scouter. I know of the Horned Man myself."

"You do?" Erza questioned.

"Yes. He's clearly a force from the other side, brought to life by witchcraft. His presence is a foretelling of your doom. Heed his appearance and flee if you wish to live." Ebenezer said and that was all he told them before he walked away.

"I think that old man is loosing more than his hair." Gray said as he didn't take Ebenezer serious.

"He does seem rather suspicious." Erza said.

"Natsu, maybe you and Happy should follow him while the rest of us look around. We'll have to wait until night for this Horned Man to show." Gray said.

"How is it we get stuck with the old geezer?" Natsu questioned, but he and Happy went through with it.

...

Later

The gang did some investigating and went at it until night. That meant that the Horned Man would have to show soon. While Natsu and Happy were away following Ebenezer, Gray and the girls were doing some investigating of their own. They all asked around about the Horned Man and got a variety of answers.

"Well, we asked everyone we could. They're all pretty spooked about this Horned Man." Lucy said.

"Some of them wish to leave, but they aren't able to move out right away like some did." Erza said.

"Some people who have moved here recently don't really believe the Horned Man is real." Gray said. "This is all very weird."

"And I see something weirder." Lucy said as she pointed at a yard. They spotted a man with a black beard hiding and it looked like he was taking notes on a house.

"Hey, you!" Gray shouted and gave the man a good scare. "What do you think you're doing?" He said as they all thought he was some sort of burglar.

"Calm down." The man said as he stood up. "No one even lives in the house. I was just taking notes on it to find ways to sell it."

"Sell it? Are you a real-estate agent?" Erza said.

"Davis Glenn at your service. I'm trying everything I can to get ahead of Edward in sells."

"Edward? Edward Nells? We ran into him earlier today." Gray said.

"Urgh... That guy. We're both real-estate agents, but he does better than I do." Davis said with some annoyance. "He's somehow the first to hear a house is going on the market and knows how to sweettalk people into buying. I would love to upstage him once." He complained with Gray and Lucy finding that suspicious. "If you kids will excuse me, I got work I need to get back to." He walked out of there with Gray and Lucy thinking they have a suspect.

"Sure sounds like he doesn't like Edward." Gray said.

"If he's really the Horned Man, how would this ruin Edward's business?" Lucy questioned.

"Here's another question. Where did Erza go?" Gray said as he just now noticed Erza was gone.

"Over here!" Erza called from an alleyway. "Down here! I found something!" They followed Erza into the alleyway and saw she saw. It was a black van that would be difficult to see at night.

"What's this van doing back here?" Lucy questioned.

"This van would only be back here if someone was trying to hide it." Gray said he reached for the back doors and was able to open it. "We're in luck. It's unlocked." He opened the doors and they all had a look inside with them seeing chemicals inside.

"A whole chemistry set is in here." Lucy said as she climbed inside. "What could someone be making with this stuff?"

"Look what else is in here." Erza said as she found a map. "This is a map of the neighborhood. Every house that has been sold is marked." This mystery is getting more mysterious.

"I wonder if Natsu and Happy have found anything yet." Gray said.

...

Natsu and Happy

Natsu and Happy followed Ebenerzer around to see if they could find out anything more about the Horned Man. They followed Ebenezer to his house and just saw him go inside.

"Any idea on what to do, Happy?" Natsu said. They tired to figure out how to confront Ebenezer about the Horned Man, but Happy spotted something else. Happy poked Natsu's head and pointed down the street. They looked and saw Davis heading into someone's backyard. Not knowing who he really is or what he does, they thought it was rather strange. "I wonder who that weirdo is and what he's up to. Ebenezer will have to wait." Happy and Natsu followed after Davis to see what he was really up to. When they went into the backyard of a house, they saw he was gone. They wondered where he went until they spotted a shed. "Is that really the best place he can hide?" Natsu and Happy walked over, but they saw someone else when they opened the door.

"RRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"The Horned Man!" Natsu screamed with him and Happy making a run for it.

...

Gray and the Girls

"That van certainly is strange." Gray said as the three of them climbed out of there. "Too bad we can't seem to find anything that tells us who it belongs to."

"I'm more curious as to what those chemicals are for." Lucy said. While they were trying to put the pieces together, they heard someone screaming.

"That sounded like Natsu and Happy!" Erza said.

"There they are, but look what's chasing them!" Lucy said as he pointed down the road. They all saw Natus and Happy as they were being chased by the Horned Man. "That must be the Horned Man!"

"Natsu! Happy! Jump over that fence!" Gray said as he thought they could make it. Natsu grabbed Happy and jumped over a fence. As for the Horned Man, he crashed right into the fence. Gray and the girls hurried after him, but the Horned Man already ran off.

"Natsu? Happy? Are you two okay?" Erza asked.

"Yeah..." Natsu said as he and Happy climbed back over the fence, but looked like they were in pain. "Except that we landed in thorn bushes." Happy gave off a whimper as they showed their butts had thorns in them. "Who has thorn bushes in their yard?"

"Ouch. Try and hold still." Erza said as she tried getting the thorns out.

"At least we know the Horned Man is for real, but what were you guys doing with him?" Gray asked.

"We were following Ebenezer until we saw this guy with a black beard sneak into someone's yard." Natsu explained. "When we checked it out, he was there."

"Black Beard? You mean Davis Glenn?" Erza asked. "He's a real-estate agent, but he certainly has a strange way of doing his job."

"Hey! What's this?!" Lucy said as she spotted something and it looked like a card. "The Horned Man must have dropped it." She grabbed the card and started to see it. "This certainly explains everything, but we need to catch that Horned Man."

"And I think I have a plan to do just that." Gray said. To set up his plan, they actually took the van they found, cleared it out, and got into position in an alleyway entrance for what he had planned.

"That thing weighs a ton for us to push it into place. Are you sure about this?" Natsu said.

"Yeah. With it being dark out, the Horned Man shouldn't be able to see it." Gray said. "When he runs into the back of the van, he'll get caught in the net we have set, and we shut the doors to keep him trap."

"But why would he just run into it?" Erza asked.

"He would if he's chasing our bait. The bait just needs to move out of the way." Gray said.

"And who are you planning on using as bait?" Natsu said, but the way Gray looked at him told the answer. "What?! Me an Happy?" Happy was completely against the idea.

"Come on, Happy. You're the smallest; you can move around the van easily." Gray said. "Besides, Natsu will be with you?" Happy was still resistant on the idea. "I'm sure you'll do it for a fishy treat." Gray said as he held one out. Happy surely couldn't say no to one of those.

...

Natsu and Happy

With the trap set, the two of them just need to find the Horned Man and lure him into it. They kept their guard up for when he does show up.

"He's got to be around here somewhere." Natsu said. They weren't sure where he was. Suddenly, they heard something moving around in the bushes and something was growling. "Aw... I think a dog is stuck in there." The two of them hurried over to check it out. "We got you, little buddy." They tried to help out the dog, but it wasn't a dog. They pulled the Horned Man out of the bushes. "Yikes! It's him!" The two of them ran off with the Horned Man chasing after them

...

The Trap

"They should be here at any minute now." Gray said as he and the girls stayed hidden and looked around for them. Suddenly, they heard screaming and saw them coming. There was just one problem. "Oh no! They're coming down from the wrong side!"

"The net won't work now!" Erza said. Natsu and Happy kept running from the Horned Man, but they were heading for the wrong side of the van. Natsu and Happy climbed over the van with the Horned Man chasing after them. That meant the trap was useless now and the chase was still on.

...

Chase Scene

Well, it's Saturday morning

Don't know what to do

Since Monday morning

I've been dreaming about you, yeah

The Horned Man chased Natus and Happy around the neighborhood. They hid from him in a manhole for a moment, but he spotted them and chased after them again. While he chased after them, Natsu kicked opened a fire hydrant and the blasting water knocked the Horned Man back.

Seven days a week, now

Seven days a week

You've even got me talking in my sleep

Seven days a week

The Horned Man chased after them. They stopped for a moment to catch their breath, but the Horned Man popped out of nowhere to try and grab them. Luckily, they ducked down and started running again.

Got me going in circles

(Round and round)

Seven days a week

(Round and round)

Every time I see you

(Round and round)

Coming down the street

The Horned Man chased after them until he lost sight of them. The two of them popped out of trashcans and smashed the lids against him like a pair of symbols before they started running again

Seven days a week, now

Seven days a week

It happens every time I see you

Seven days a week

Natsu and Happy dived into a bush near someone's house to hide. The Horned Man looked inside to check for them, but they came out of the house's window and jumped against him like a rock

I just don't think I can make it without you

I feel so good just being around you

The Horned man chased them into someone's yard, but they all ran off when a rabid dog went barking at them.

Seven days a week now

Seven days a week

(Oh yeah!)

Feels so good just being around you

Natsu and Happy were chased into someone's shed with the Horned Man going after them. However, they ended up on someone's lawnmower and it went out of control. The three of them held on to it for their lives. Just when Gray and the girls caught up to them, they had to move out of the way. They couldn't control where they were going and ended up crashing.

...

"Natsu! Happy! Are you two okay?!" Lucy asked.

"I think so, but what a ride." Natsu said.

"What a ride indeed. Look who we got." Erza said as they saw the Horned Man trapped. She grabbed his horns and pulled the skull right off to reveal the culprit.

"Edward Nells!" After finding out that Edward was the Horned Man, the gang gave the police a call and handed him over to the authorities. Still, some things need to be answered.

"Edward Nells? I don't understand. He's a successful real-estate agent." Sheriff said. "Why would he do something like this?"

"This is how he became a successful real-estate agent." Lucy said. "He scares people out of the most valuable homes and puts them on the market. As an added bonus, the people he wasn't trying to scare still moved out and he tried selling their houses as well."

"We ran into Davis Glenn. He told us that Edward is quite the sweet-talker and was able convince others to take those homes." Erza said. "If they decided to move out, it still works for him. This is also how he was the first to hear about a house going on the market."

"We found out it was him because he actually dropped his business card." Lucy said.

"What about the people in a hospital? They're not able to move or do anything. What did he do to them?" Sheriff questioned.

"We actually found his van with chemicals inside it." Gray said.

"He took a deck of trick cards and modified them to unleash a colorless, odorless gas that caused paralysis." Lucy said. "The effects should last only a couple days."

"I could be making a fortune if it weren't for you meddling kids!" Edward complained.

"Well, looks you're the one moving into a big house now. Right, Happy? Happy?" Natsu said as he looked around until he spotted Happy doing something silly.

"How about that? He's trying to sell homes to cats." Lucy said. Maybe Happy has a dream of going into real-estate. Probably not.
