"I told you that you should have got that old heap checked out first." A lady complained to her husband as their car broke down on the side of the road.

"And I keep telling you that I know what I'm doing." The man complained.

"As usual. Why don't you ever listen to me?" The lady complained as she was fed up with her boyfriend's behavior. That was when something happened. They heard someone riding on a motorcycle and saw someone coming their way. The man was dressed in a blue cape and dressed like British gentleman with a yellow ascot. He also had a hat with a yellow feather on it and a blue mask over his eyes. He just drove right by and was able to snatch the woman with him. He just drove right by with the man freaking out that his girlfriend is gone.

Magnolia High

"As the setting sun shines against the ocean's waves, let loose the sorrowing beauty of day and into night that it weaves. As one day comes to an end, we await the return of our shining friend." Magnolia High's literature teacher had a way with words. As he finished reading a poem, the girls in the class were all swooned by him, the way he talks and looks. He was dashing young-looking man with his brown hair tied into a ponytail and was properly dressed. "Class, anyone have anything they like to share?"

"Yeah. Boring!" One of the guys shouted with the rest of them laughing, but all the girls just got annoyed.

"It wasn't boring." Lucy said. "It really speaks on how the sun can emit such a powerful feeling, like a friend who is there to help you. I guess it's hard for meatheads to appreciate it."

"Thank you, Lucy, but it's quite all right. Not everyone appreciates fine literature." Class soon ended with the girls sad to leave class. As they all cleared out, Erza and Lucy felt like they were on cloud nine.

"Mr. Hansling is such an amazing man. If only he was our age." Lucy said.

"I agree. He's handsome, intellectual, charming... How is he still single?" Erza said.

"You guys can't be serious about him." Natsu said.

"Yeah. He's not all that." Gray said.

"I guess it's hard for you two to see it." Lucy said with a little disapproval of how they are compared to him. "He's just..." Lucy couldn't find the words as she just sighed in delight.

"Hey. I cant just like him." Natsu said, but Lucy just laughed it off as she didn't think he could. Hearing her talk about some guy like she's got a small crush on the guy. "I really don't like him."

"Dude, relax. He's too old for Lucy, but things would be a lot easier if you just admitted you like Lucy." Gray said. Natsu wanted to, but it was always difficult. Maybe it was time that he did. As school came to an end for the day, Happy came and greeted the gang as they all came out.. Natsu finally decided to go for it.

"Hey, Lucy." Natsu said and got her attention. "I've been thinking lately. I was wondering if you would like to go on a... On a..." Natsu was trying to work up the courage to say it. He lost his chance when they heard a horn go off and saw Lucy's mother drive up to them.

"Hi, Honey." Layla said.

"Hi, Mom. What are you doing here?" Lucy asked.

"I was close by and thought you would like a ride from school." Layla said. "I'm on the way to the library to return a couple books and I thought we could get a nice meal."

"Thanks, Mom. That sounds nice." Lucy said as she forgot about what Natsu wanted to ask and hopped in.

"If you're going to the library, can I come along? I got a couple books to return myself." Erza said.

"Sure, Erza. Hop inside." Layla said as Erza joined them.

"We'll see you guys later." Lucy said as her mother drove off.

"Did I just get blown off when I was finally going to ask her out?" Natsu said as he felt like he just got shot by an arrow. All Gray and Happy did was pat him the back to cheer him up.

...

The Girls

Layla drove the girls over to the library was to return those books. When they got there, they met with the librarian. He was just a simple looking man with brown hair and glasses. He saw the girls enter the building and brought the girls back.

"Great to see you again, Mrs. Heartfilia." The librarian said.

"Thank you, Stewart." Layla said as she and Erza returned the books they had.

"It's also great to see your daughter. You two look like you could pass as sisters, but where's your husband?" Stewart said.

"Uh... I need a break from that man." Layla said.

"Is everything okay, Mom?" Lucy asked.

"Yes, it's just that you know how your father gets when he's so enveloped in his work." Layla said. "It is so hard to get through that man sometimes. Lately, there hasn't been much romance either. Then again, every relationship must have a dry patch or something."

"You don't have to tell us about trouble with men." Erza said. "Just today, the guys in our class acted like morons. It's so hard these days to find a man like Mr. Hansling, our literature teacher. Natsu and Gray can't even appreciate a good piece of literature."

"I know. What is wrong with some men? Why is so hard for them to be so serene or considerate?" Lucy said. The three of them certainly agreed with that about men as they stepped outside. Just as they were about to reach the car, they heard the sound of a motorcycle coming their way and the saw the masked motorcyclist from before coming at them.

"I'm here for you, Mrs. Layla Heartfilia!" He called. He just rode by and grabbed her and took off.

"Mom!" Lucy called as she didn't like the looks of this at all.

...

Later

After seeing what just happened with her mother, Lucy and Erza called the police. They called the boys over and tried to figure out on what just happened.

"I see... I know who you're talking about." Sheriff said. "This actually isn't the first time this masked crusade showed himself."

"Who is he?" Lucy asked.

"He's been labeled as the Charming Dasher." Sheriff said. "He kidnaps women and the men are left devastated that their girls are gone. The strangest thing is that when they are seen again, the women seem rather happy. We're not sure what this guy is doing to them, but I'm certain your mother will turn up again eventually. We'll keep our eyes open and let you know what's going on." The Sheriff left it at that, but Lucy wasn't assured about her mother coming back.

"She could come back? He just lets them go and they're happy? That's rather weird." Gray said.

"I guess we got ourselves another mystery." Erza said.

"You bet we do. We need to find my mom." Lucy said as she's worried on what might happen to her.

"Sheriff just said that the women the Charming Dasher took were found." Natsu said. "Maybe we should get some names and see if there's any connection."

"Good idea." Lucy said. With a new mystery driving on the road and taking women, they need to figure out what's going on.

...

Later

The gang were able to get some names from those who were kidnapped by the Charming Dasher. Once they got some info about them, they all met up in the Myster-V that night and tried to see if there was anything about the women that the Charming Dasher went for them specifically.

"I'm looking over everything I can about the Charming Dasher's victims and I can't find anything they have in common." Lucy said as she searched around on her computer. "There's no connection between any of them or my mom."

"This is weird." Erza said. "No ransom? No blackmailing? Why is he kidnapping these women?"

"Who could the Charming Dasher be?" Gray questioned as they all can't seem to find any clear answers to this mystery.

"Hey! What about Mr. Hansling?!" Natsu said.

"What? It can't be him. Why would you even think that?" Lucy said.

"Well, you girls do get charmed by him rather easily." Natsu said. "You asked why he's still single. Maybe that's because he's really some sort of crazy criminal. Maybe he's not as perfect as you think."

"Natsu, I'm not sure about this myself." Erza said.

"You're being ridiculous." Lucy said. "It's not him and I'm actually a little offended that you think it would be."

"How do you know he isn't?" Natsu said. "He's targeting girls, girls seem to like him, the women were all rather happy when they came back. He and the Charming Dasher have the same effect." Happy tried talking to Natsu by implying he might be jealous, but Natsu just brushed it off.

"It's not him." Lucy said.

"Why? Because he's cute? Because you think he's "intellectual" and "charming"?" Natsu argued. "Is it really just because you have some little crush on him?"

"Why do you care?" Lucy said.

"Okay, I can see where this is going." Gray said as he started the van. "There's only one way to solve this." He drove off to settle this little dispute now.

...

Magnolia High

The gang went back to school to investigate their teacher. They managed to get in the school and went to look for Mr. Hansling.

"There he is." Natsu said as they saw him still in his classroom. "We've got him right where we want him. Time to catch him in the act."

"You are making a big mistake, Natsu Dragneel." Lucy said.

"I'm with Lucy on this. This seems like a bad idea." Erza said.

"Fine. You two stay out here while we catch the criminal." Natsu said as he and Gray quietly made their way inside. Mr. Hansling didn't even notice them as he was just finishing up some of his paperwork. While he was working on them, Gray, Natsu, and Happy snuck up behind him. "We've got you now, Charming Dasher!" He said as he gave him a good spook.

"Sorry, but we need to learn the truth." Gray said.

"Gray? Natsu? What are you two doing here, and what are you talking about?" Mr. Hansling questioned.

"You know what we're talking about, girlfriend stealer!" Natsu said. The girls overheard that and were rather shocked he said that.

"Girlfriend?" Erza questioned.

"Me?" Lucy questioned as she couldn't believe Natsu would think of her like that.

"We know you're the Charming Dasher. Admit it! Admit it!" Natsu said as he was getting a little out of control and Gray and Happy had to hold him back.

"I have no clue as to what you boys are talking about. Now, could please leave. I have some work that I like to finish." Mr. Hansling said.

"Sorry to bother you." Gray said as he and Happy forced Natsu out of the room. "Okay, maybe you were a little out of control in there." Seeing that they weren't getting anywhere, the five of them decided to just leave.

"I told you it wasn't him." Lucy said.

"He didn't deny it." Natsu claimed.

"What did you mean when you called Mr. Hansling a girlfriend stealer?" Lucy questioned as she really wanted to know more. When Natsu realized what he did in there, he was at a loss for words and didn't know what he's going to do. He didn't really have to say anything as they saw the Charming Dasher coming their way. He just showed up and swiped Lucy and was able to get Erza, too.

"Fear not, lovely young ladies. I'm not going to hurt you." The Charming Dasher claimed. "I'm simply helping you leave these unappreciative and troublesome little boys."

"The Charming Dasher?! With Erza and Lucy?!" Natsu said as he didn't get it.

"Stop!" Gray said as the boys tried to stop him, but he already took off and he took both of the girls with him. Leaving just the boys now, the gang has been cut by half with the Charming Dasher striking again.

...

The Boys

Seeing the Charming Dasher take both of the girls, the boys got in the van and searched around for them. However, the Charming Dasher appears to know how to cover his tracks. They've got no trail to follow, no leads, and now they've got nothing as who he is or where he could be.

"Lucy I understand since Lalya is her mother, but why did he take Erza?" Gray questioned.

"I don't know. I just hope we can find them. I don't want the last thing with Lucy is her being mad at me." Natsu said as he looked like he was spiraling. Happy tried to help by fanning his face.

"We'll find her, Natsu. We'll find all of them." Gray said. "It's just that this is becoming one weird mystery. There's no connection between any of the woman, he's not demanding cash or anything, and the women are returned and seem happy. What kind of kidnapping is this?"

"I just hope they're both okay." Natsu said.

...

The Girls

Erza and Lucy were taken to a cave. They were also there with Lucy's mother and other women that have been taken by the Charming Dasher. The weird thing was that all of them seemed comfortable. There was furniture for them as well as things women would like such as magazines, clothes, and much more to make their stay comfortable. Since Lucy and Erza were his recent victims, they were a little puzzled as to what was happening.

"Mom, what is going on? What has this guy done to you?" Lucy asked.

"Nothing, honey." Layla said. "Other than kidnapping us, this man has been the perfect gentleman. He says we're free to leave whenever we like." This was really weird to both girls. They all looked happy to be here. As the two of them just sat on a couch, they didn't know what to do.

"You two have nothing to be afraid of. I'm not going to hurt any of you." The Charming Dasher said as he came over to them. "Would you two like some tea or some nice chocolate?"

"Uh... No thank you." Erza said as she and Lucy were still on edge.

"I see you two are still adjusting." The Charming Dasher said as he put the stuff away. "I do apologize if I scared you. You two are free to leave whenever you like. I just thought you would like a nice break from the troublesome men you are force to deal with everyday."

"Um... Thank you..." Lucy said as she wasn't sure what to think of this.

"Well, if you two desire anything, just let me know. I am aware you two are still school students, so do not get the wrong idea, but I just simply want to please you." The Charming Dasher said and left the two of them alone. This all might seem nice, but they both know that the Charming Dasher still should be stopped. Luckily, he never took their phones and can still contact the boys.

...

The Boys

The three of them continued to look around for the girls, but they had no luck. That all changed when they heard Natsu's phone go off and she got a message.

"It's from Lucy!" Natsu said. "She says that she and Erza are fine and might have an idea to stop the Charming Dasher." They all looked over the message and saw what Lucy was planning.

"That could work. We just need to be able to get ourselves ready." Gray said as the time came to pull that motorcyclist over.

...

The Girls

Erza and Lucy just played along with the other women until the boys are ready with the trap. When they heard Lucy's phone go off, they saw that the boys were ready to go.

"Excuse me, Charming Dasher." Lucy said and got his attention. "This has all been rather nice, but I'm afraid we're not the only poor young women those boys you saved us from bother. Those two seem to harass other women as well."

"I say! I was not aware of this!" The Charming Dasher said.

"They even trained their little cat to be a bother to women, both human and animal." Erza said. "We're just worried on what those three are going to do next and to who."

"I do not tolerate such behavior. Fear not. I shall handle this matter." The Charming Dasher said as he was on his way out.

"Don't hurt them. Just give them a good scare." Lucy said.

"Of course. If that is what you desire." The Charming Dasher said and was on his way out with the trap being set. All that was left for the girls was to wait.

"You know, this actually is good chocolate." Erza said as she actually did enjoy her stay in the cave.

...

The Boys

With their plan in motion, the boys just stood in the middle of the street when it's dark and just waited for the Charming Dasher to show himself.

"Everything is set. We just need this guy to show himself." Gray said as they waited for him. That was when they heard the sound of a motorcycle and saw him coming in from behind.

"I have you two now!" Charming Dasher claimed.

"I just realized something. Lucy probably set us up as bait as payback for earlier." Natsu said.

"Either way, run!" Gray shouted as the three of them went in different directions and Charming Dasher went after them.

...

Chase Scene

Another day is going by

I'm thinking about you all the time

But you're out there and I'm here waiting

And I wrote this letter in my head

Cause so many things were left unsaid

But now you're gone and I can't think straight

Charming Dasher chased after Natsu first. Seeing as how his motorcycle was going to let him catch him, Natsu grabbed a skateboard and started rolling away from him and jumped up to a fire escape to avoid him. That was when Happy ran by and Charming Dasher went after him.

This could be the one last chance to make you understand

Yeah

I'd do anything

Just to hold you in my arms

To try and make you laugh

Cause somehow I can't put you in the past

I'd do anything

Just to fall asleep with you

Will you remember me?

Cause I know I won't forget you

Charming Dasher reached out for Happy as Happy ran as fast as he could. Just when he was about to grab Happy, Happy jumped to the side and Charming Dasher went right past him. He tried turning around, but ended up falling to the ground. When he got back up, he tried going after them again until Gray whistled to him and dared Charming Dasher to go after him

I'd do anything

Just to hold you in my arms

To try and make you laugh

Cause somehow I can't put you in the past

I'd do anything

Just to fall asleep with you

To fall asleep with you

With you

Yeah

He chased after Gray into an alleyway. It then turned into a montage of the four of them going in an out of different alleyways to try and catch the other. When they all came out with it looking like they were chasing Charming Dasher, he realized what just happened and turned back around as he chased after them.

I'd do anything

To fall asleep with you

I'd do anything

There's nothing I won't

(I'd do anything)

To fall asleep with you

(I'd do anything)

Cause I know I won't forget you

Charming Dasher chased after them, but they were leading him right where they wanted him. With some help from the Sheriff, he pulled on a rope and it caused Charming Dasher to ride right into it and knocked him off his motorcycle.

...

Sheriff came over and hurried to put him in handcuffs. They have him now and that just leaves one thing left to do.

"Now let's see who he really is." Gray said as he reached for the hat and saw he had a helmet on. "Look. He wore a helmet under his hat the whole time. That is safer. Now for the face." He took off the mask and helmet, but they didn't quite get who it was.

"Who is he?" Natsu questioned.

"Wait. Isn't he the librarian?" Gray said.

"It's Stewart."

"But why did you do this?" Natsu said.

"It's simple: I was lonely." Stewart said. "I always loved reading. You read about amazing adventures, but it's never like that in real life. My particular favorite was one about a masked crusader that won the hearts of women. That's what inspired me to becoming the Charming Dasher."

"If you were just lonely, why didn't you get a date the old fashion way?" Gray said.

"I tried, but women don't appear to be interested in me." Stewart said. "Another reason I wore the disguise."

"But exactly did you do to them?" Natsu said.

"Nothing." Stewart said. "All I really did was listen to them, their problems, and show that I cared. That's all women really want out of guys. When I overheard them complain about their boyfriends or husbands, I saw opportunity."

"Okay, enough weirdo. Let's just go." Sheriff said as he grabbed him and took him away. That was about the time the girls were able to arrive and saw what happened.

"It was the librarian the whole time?" Lucy said as she felt sorry for him. "I feel pretty bad for him."

"Well, none of them women are pressing charges." Erza said. "I even overheard some of them considered leaving their men for him since he was so considerate, kind, and mysterious." Now that them mystery was over, Lucy had one other mystery to solve.

"Natsu, I still want to talk to you." Lucy said.

"Hold on. I want to ask something first." Natsu said. "What do women want out of guys? Do they really want guys like Charming Dasher or Mr. Hansling?"

"What women want out of guys?" Lucy quoted. "All we really want is for you guys to listen to us, show that you care about us as much as we do about you, and let use see who you are inside."

"Exactly, but your stupid male pride doesn't allow that to happen." Erza said. They made it sound clear, but neither of the boys seemed liked they were getting it.

"Boys." The girls complained as they couldn't believe how naïve they are. Listening, showing you care, and letting them see who you really are is all women want from guys. Sounds so simple, but the male mind just can't comprehend it.
