Summary:
A stupid fad that's taken hold over Akihara Elementary is destroying Hikawa Tohru's self-esteem. Hikari Netto takes matters into his own hands.
"Tohru-kun, those scorecards are stupid! Don't pay any attention!"
"The girls gave you really high percentages in all six categories, Netto-kun. But me? It's official: I'm like a cute younger sibling not worth noticing."
Handsome, cute, cool, hot, passionate, and angel. Some celebrity started a fad, and these were the six "stats" girls at Akihara Elementary were suddenly rating boys with on charts pulled straight out of a video game. You know, the diamond or circle gauges displaying a character's HP, ATK, MP, speed, and so on?
"Tohru-kun, are you that worried? So the girls only rated you high under cute and angel! What's wrong with that?"
This time, Tohru swallowed his complaint. Netto saw he was upset, so there was no point in repeating himself.
The girls had made too many copies of the ranking form. Unfilled profiles littered the school because the students cleaning were still in the process of sweeping it all away.
"I have an idea, Tohru-kun." Netto snapped one up off the floor and pencilled Tohru's name and revised score in. "There! Here's my recommendation! Hikawa Tohru is 100% handsome, 100% cute, 100% cool, 100% hot, 100% passionate, and 100% an angel!"
"Netto-kun, I get that you're trying to cheer me up, but it's not like you'd date me."
"I'd date you!"
Tohru thought Netto's mouth had simply been moving faster than his brain when he said that, but when Netto didn't backtrack to clear up his statement or refute he ever spoke it, Tohru was a frozen bundle of nerves.
"Netto-kun…"
"Wanna be boyfriends, Tohru-kun?" Netto slapped the paper down.
"Okay…"
Maybe it would be fun.
