Chapter 1: To mess up a day.

5th Period Science

My day couldn't have gone any worse than it already did(more on that later), well aside from the fact that I am 15 and in 10th grade, barely old enough to drive at that. Right now 5th period just started and I can't focus because of one thing.

A girl whom I'd never seen before... just walked right into class.

To say that she looks like Aphrodite; the Greek goddess of love isn't being stated enough.

This girl is wearing a light gray t-shirt, a blue jean jacket with blue pants. With her blonde hair in curls, down the sides of her face and back, I would say she looked like an angel sent straight from Heaven.

Her gray eyes sparkled in the dim light of the classroom. For one moment our eyes made contact and then she quickly looked away.

I'm telling you I have never seen a girl more beautiful than the one I just saw. That's for sure. I then realize I'm still staring at her back even though she can't see me.

"Tell me what is the answer to question one since you seem to not mind staring off into space in my class?" asked Mr. Ronald.

I hadn't realized that he'd asked me a question and that I wasn't paying attention. Now I am either going to be scolded like normal or I'm about to get in some trouble, for the third time this week; might I add.

"Um..."I said with some slight confusion, shuffling my notes. I'm not even on the right page.

"You don't know do you, Mr. Jackson?'' asked Mr. Ronald.

I finally said, "No sir, but..."

"Save your excuses for later Percy, stay in detention in room 604 after school for the rest of this week, are we understood?."

"Yes...sir."I nodded my head in confirmation. Ugh, just great.

The blonde turned to look back at me, and she snickered. It was the most amazing sound Í ever heard. But she must've done it a little too loud because Mr. Ronald turned around to the sound of her snickering.

"So Ms. Chase, it seems that you enjoy laughing at another student who just got himself in trouble, so as a matter of fact, you can join him in detention as well."

The blonde turned around to glare at me. And it seemed that all the laughter and mirth that was there moments ago just leaked right out of her stormy and intimidatingly gray eyes. The look she gave me; I'm telling you that look scared me to death.

Her eyes seemed to say This is all your fault ...

I stared back at her. You were the one that laughed, not me...

She then gave me the finger and slumped down in her seat.

I sighed, yep, today was going to be an interesting day for sure.

So going to detention with that Jackson kid is going to be fun, right? ( Note my sarcasm)...

The answer to that question is... ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I feel like ever since I walked in through that door, I felt that someone was watching me, trying to get me in trouble. And lo and behold, I just got detention which I have almost never gotten. What a surprise!. But seriously though, I am sorta starting to hate that Jackson kid, now that I know he got me in trouble. For the record, I did snicker at him when he got in trouble and got detention for not paying attention in class, come to think of it I got in trouble too, but only because I laughed at him.

Still, I'm pretty sure that everyone else in this class has basically fallen asleep here every now and then. It's not like it really matters whether or not we are actually going to use any of this useless information in real life. I do think that Mr. Ronald singled out Jackson because he was not only close to being in the very back, but that he was probably failing this class.

So as I sat there contemplating my own thoughts, I turned to see that Jackson fellow staring at me, I did my best to glare at him, and then I turned around back in my seat and flipped him off.

Just then the bell rang and I grabbed my book bag and fled out the door. Last class of the day: Math...

As I started towards my locker, I was stopped by the one, the only Jackson. I turned to face him with a scowl on my face.

"What," I say aggressively.

"Listen, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for getting you in trouble back there; that's all." He said in an apologetic tone.

What am I supposed to do, say okay or whatever? No, I know just what to say.

"Yeah whatever, thanks a lot," I say as I try to muster an annoying tone; pushing past him after slamming my locker shut.

I turned to see his reaction just once, arms out to the side in exasperation. The expression on his face was one of What did I do?

Ugh, boys, they think that everything's okay with us girls. Too bad I have to stay after school in detention with him after 6th period is over.

This is gonna be fun.
