Chapter 3
Izuku looked around, seeing the dark void. He had been here before.
His soul. Right now he was within his soul.
"So today's the day then, huh?" A female voice said. He looked over to where her voice came from and saw the girl. Her black hair had only grown longer, now going down to the centre of her back. She was wearing the same black clothes she always wore. Kyuin. The demon who was giving him the power to be a hero.
"Yep, I'm nervous." Izuku said rather calmly. Right now they were in the Soul Scape. The place within the body where the soul resides. It's also where Kyuin lives. Izuku could be dragged in here while he slept. Or during a moment of weakness.
They were talking about his first day at UA. Passing the exam was a rather easy feat given the power that Kyuin granted him. Right now Izuku was asleep so Kyuin decided to bring him here to help calm his nerves. Given that when he was nervous she could feel it.
It had been almost a full year now since he and Kyuin became entwined. They could feel the other's emotions, even being able to talk telepathically.
"So we're in class 1-A. You think Baku-bitch will be in the same class as us." Living life in Izuku's body let her see a lot of things from his point of view and because when they first started training Izuku couldn't use anything but a black ball Bakugo had kept up with his abuse.
This caused a hatred to be born within the demon. She often asked Izuku why he didn't just tear him limb from limb with his newfound strength. But Izuku had never even considered it. He had one goal.
To become stronger than Bakugo.
"Part of me wants him to be and the other part doesn't." Izuku looked conflicted about his feelings.
Then a new sound began ringing out from the void. It was loud and annoying. Izuku recognized it as his alarm. "Welp it's been fun but the outside world calls." Kyuin said as she waved to Izuku. "Talk to you after your morning shower." Despite being a demon she was still a girl so she gave him the common decency to shower without having to worry about being watched.
He opened his eyes and saw his now vacant roof. It used to have posters of All Might but after what happened to him his favourite hero became the one he hated most. He sat up and hit his alarm clock to turn it off.
He got out of bed and noticed it was 5 AM. He walked over and put on his morning workout clothes. Grabbing his keys as he went he placed in his earphones and turned on some music. He slipped his phone into his zip-up pocket before leaving his room and making his way out of the house.
It may be the first day of UA but he couldn't relax on his working out. He needed to get stronger. He made his way down the stairs and onto the street. He began his run toward the riverside. He favoured running there due to the morning sun reflecting off the water, that and a lot of people ran there so he wouldn't look out of place.
He ran past a few people before he reached a bench which sat an old man. They both said good morning as he went past. He was right. Seeing the sun on the water never ceased to look amazing. The few clouds in the sky carving a path through the world for the sunlight to shine. It looked like a painting.
He ended the run, stopping just outside his complex. He looked at his phone and saw it was now 6 AM. Meaning Izuku had 2 hours and 25 minutes to get ready. Which was more than enough time for him. He greeted his mother as he made his way to the bathroom to get in a
shower before he ate.
He turned on the shower and stepped under. He felt the warm water run down his body and drip off his fingers. He felt the water flow over the burn scars created by Bakugo. But they felt numb, normally when he felt something touch the scars we would feel the burning sensation like it was happening all over again. But nothing. He turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. No time to have a bath.
He dried off and slipped into his school uniform before walking out of the room. He sat down at the table which was already set and said his thanks before eating. His mother was placing the laundry out on the veranda to dry it. Izuku ate the leftover fish and rice while having his miso soup. The normal breakfast.
He finished eating and placed his bowl and other things in the sink for his mum to deal with before she set off for work. He grabbed his bag which he had packed last night and made his way to the front door. "Have you got everything?" The voice of his mother asking him a question stopped him from leaving. "Yep, I've got it all."
"I'm so proud of you." Her voice was soft and befitting that of a mother. Which made sense given who she was. He looked at her and gave her the best smile he could. "Thanks." And with that, he set off toward his new school.
It wasn't that far from where he lived. He could just walk there and it would take around 30 minutes.
Having now made it to the school, he looked up at the gates. He felt a lot of pride for the first time in his life. He stepped through the gate for the first time as a student. He walked into the building and began looking around. The hallways were confusing. The building was like a maze. Izuku couldn't find where his classroom was.
He walked all around the school but couldn't find any hint of where he needed to go.
Until he walked past a room and noticed how large it was. He looked at it and saw 1-A plastered over the front of the door. Was this really his classroom? Just who were they trying to let into the room. Regardless he found his classroom. He took a deep breath before opening the door. The first person he saw was the one Kyuin had titled Baku-bitch.
Izuku groaned causing everyone in the classroom to turn toward him. Bakugo scowled when he saw the green-headed teen. However, that didn't stop Izuku from glaring back at him. He almost flipped the table he was sitting at.
"Ah, Midoriya!" The voice of Uraraka came from behind him. Izuku turned around with a smile only to then grab the girl and pull her toward him. They traded places with Izuku now standing in front of the door. It was now the rest of the class noticed the homeless-looking man standing in a sleeping bag. His hair was long, longer than most of the girls.
"Heh, fine senses you got there." The man praised the teen for his speed. He then threw a red and blue uniform at him. Izuku caught it. "Put this on and meet me outside."
Having now made it outside wearing the UA gym uniform Izuku arrived before a lot of other people. He was wearing an undershirt so he got a few questions about why. He wrote them off as he shot another look Bakugo's way.
"So you'll be showing me how strong you are with your quirks. You'll each perform a bunch of different tests, you are allowed to use your quirks." He then threw the ball at Izuku, the green-headed teen managed to catch it rather easily. "You scored the highest on the entrance exam so you'll be leading the charge for your class." The whole class looked at him, a few of them were taken aback by how a plain-looking guy like him was the strongest in the exam. "Just stand there in that ring and throw it as far as you can."
Izuku walked over and looked up at the sky. He closed his eyes as the class watched him. Each person was expecting something flashy like him gaining the power of the sun before pelting it. 'You ready?' Kyuin said as she prepared to grant him power. "As ready as I'll ever be." He said as a few of the other students gave him funny looks.
"Devil's Domain!" A black ring then extended out going under the other students. A few of them felt lighter. He cocked his arm back with the ball in his hand. He shot it forward with enough pressure that the students all felt the air move from his swing. The ball shot forward and up into the air. After a few seconds of waiting the ball landed. "476.1!" The robot shouted.
The entire class apart from a few people were shocked at what this guy the same age as them had done.
"Very good." Their teacher said with a rather unnerving grin on his face.
"Now you will all do tests like this one." He stepped out of the way to show the rest of what they were going to be doing. "Also I forgot to mention…the person who comes last place will be expelled from this school."
Now that was a twist. None of the students were expecting that. Izuku readied himself to do his best.
The 50-metre dash was up first. Izuku was placed against a girl whose skin was entirely pink. A loud bang rang out and both of them took off. Izuku shot forward shattering the ground where he was standing like it was glass. He passed the finish line in 3.56 seconds.
Next up was the grip strength test. Izuku looked around and saw that some guy with this weird arm related quirk had about 500kg of grip strength. Izuku then squeezed as hard as he could. He got 274kg.
After the rest of the tests which he did with flying colours, they all were called by their teacher who they now knew as Aizawa. They all arrived at the meeting point and he began speaking. "I'm gonna show you all the results. And remember last place is gone"
The screen flicked on.

Izuku let out the biggest sigh of his life. He knew he had the power to not be last but the anxiety that had built up throughout his life made him think for a second.
Izuku looked around for this Mineta person. 'I wonder if he's shitting bricks right now.' Kyuin said while laughing. Clearly, she found this funny, very funny. After looking around for a few seconds Izuku couldn't see who looked depressed well apart from the bird guy. "GODDAMNIT!" The shrill screech that came from below caught Izuku off guard. He looked down toward the ground and finally noticed the small purple ball headed child?
He looked a mix of angry and sad. "So that was all a logical deception. Nobody will be getting expelled." The yell of pain and relief came from the smaller teen. "I just wanted you all to be pushing yourselves as much as possible."
"Get back in your school uniforms then head back to the classroom. You'll be meeting the rest of your teachers." Aizawa explained. He then walked away leaving the class to be by themselves.
While in the changing room Izuku removed his shirt and felt something from behind him. He turned around to face the threat. Standing there was Bakugo who looked so angry he could destroy the entire school. "Since fucking when have you had a quirk you shitty Deku!" Bakugo shouted not caring who heard. A few of the other students turned to look at what was happening.
Bakugo was fuming, how the hell did this nerd get a quirk? And how the fuck was the quirk strong enough to get him a higher score on the entrance exam than he did? So many questions and only one piece of shit to answer them.
Izuku however, was having none of it. He simply turned back around to continue changing. "Don't FUCKING IGNORE ME!" He raised his hand and was about to set off an explosion. But his hand was grabbed before he could do anything. Next thing Bakugo knew his right arm was pinned to his back as Izuku was holding it.
"Leave me alone. And I won't get you kicked out." Izuku whispered into his ear. "And how the fuck would you do that?"
"I just gotta show them my back." Izuku said. That alone made Bakugo feel shivers push their way down his spine. He let go of Bakugo and got changed rather fast. They all left and made their way to the classroom.
After meeting their teachers and getting their timetable for the foreseeable future. Izuku began making his way back home. The walk to the UA gate was quiet and calming however, that ended rather quickly after he heard his name be called from behind him. He turned around and saw Uraraka running toward him trying to catch up.
Ever since the exam a month ago these two had talked almost every day via their phones. He could definitely call her a friend. Of course, she didn't know about Kyuin but that was obvious. Plus not like she would believe him if he did tell her. After all, demons weren't real at least that was the normal consensus.
"W-why didn't yo-you wait." She said while taking deep breaths. "Oh sorry, I didn't know you were wanting to walk home together."
Uraraka now stood up straight up having now caught her breath. "Well of course I'd want to walk with you." She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
The two then walked to the train station having a happy discussion about the day as they went.
Authors notes.
Yo, a new chapter? WHAT!?
Yes, I know this is not the most consistent fanfic ever. But I've got more ideas now. So the chapters till at least the USJ will be faster.
Anyway, let me know what you think of this.
Bonus: While I was proofreading this someone followed the story. So big shout out to HeavaneZ. Just thought that was kinda funny.
