It's time for chapter 8! Boy, this particular period of waiting felt longer than usual. Whatever it is, I know y'all will love this chapter.

Don't do it Rin

By Ghazi

It was the day, Meiko was starting to get worried. Rin and Gumi weren't acting pissed and rebellious like how she expected. They're just doing their job like how they always had. How aren't they frustrated? She should be relieved, but she's not. She's getting worried because of how out of character this is for them. Then it happens, she sees them coming.

"We've been called upon for help." Gumi told her.

"Oh really?" she's not sure if she should trust them.

"Yeah, there are a few officers who need our help, they said they'll tell the location when they're in private." Gumi gave this excuse.

Should she let them go? She's not sure. From the information she already has, either decision could lead to disaster. She needs to think carefully when she answers, or else, something horrible can happen. She doesn't know why but she goes with her instinct and decides to trust them, let's see what happens.

"Sure, go help them." she reluctantly said.

"See you later commissioner." Rin said as the two of them left the department.

"Either what I just did is no big deal, or I've made one of my worst decisions ever." she said to herself in her mind.

"Hey commissioner, do you have any work for me?" one of her employees popped up and asked this.

"You know, some of us might have a mission in a while." Meiko told him.

Rin and Gumi were in an empty building, they were hoping nobody in the department had figured out what they were doing. They're still unsure if what they're doing is right or not, but they know they wanna do it.

"Do you think the two of us can do it alone?" Rin asked Gumi.

"No, but I got a plan." Gumi told her.

"You do?" Rin looked curious.

"I can't tell you right now." Gumi said.

"I understand, let's get in the car." Rin said.

They got to the place where the tragedy happened all those years ago. It was once a gym owned by Luka, now it was just a an empty building. Why was it empty though? They thought Yohioloid lived here.

"Why isn't anyone here?" Rin felt frustrated.

"I'm not sure, where could he be?" Gumi was getting confused.

They got out of the building. Now they were in the street again, even after all these years seeing this street again made them uncomfortable. Suddenly they saw a guy who was there that day. Maybe they should ask him.

"Listen sir, do you know of a man named Yohioloid?" Gumi asked him.

"I know you two, you were there when Luka died here years ago." he remembered them.

"So you must know about Yohioloid, right?" Gumi said.

"He stopped living here months ago," he told them "he now lives in a mansion he didn't told us much about."

"That's too vague." Rin sounded annoyed.

"That's all I know." he said.

"Sorry Rin, I don't think we're gonna get more information here." Gumi told her.

"Yeah but we shou-" before Rin could finish, Gumi cutted her sentence off.

"Knowing Yohioloid, he probably didn't told these people much, you really think they would hide secrets for that scumbag." Gumi said.

"I guess you're right." Rin said with disappointment. She wished there was more information here, but sadly she agrees with Gumi's point.

"I think we should look deeper in the city for answers." Gumi suggested.

"Let's do that." Rin agreed.

Yohioloid didn't knew when they'll come. It could be today, or it could take way longer. Only thing he knew was, for him the chance to kill Rin was getting closer and closer. He awaits her arrival and all he's thinking about is Luka... there's nothing that'd make him happier than vengeance, absolutely nothing. IA and Piko suddenly came to his room.

"We just wanna remind you that you are a complete moron for not ordering one of us to assassinate her." IA said.

"Get... out..." he angrily said in slow speed.

"Remember, after you pay us you'll be of no use to us." Piko warned him.

"That didn't intimidated me one bit," he told them "and quite frankly, I can't care less about you two."

"You absolute little-" before IA could attack him, Piko grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"We're here for money, remember?" after Piko said this, she calmed down a bit.

"You're lucky you have what we want." IA said it and they left the room again.

They're not getting along at all with their current boss, but because of the money, IA and Piko continue to be on his side.

Rin and Gumi were still in their car driving through the city in search of information regarding Yohioloid. Gumi had been driving for hours now. They had asked many people at this point, still had no idea where he could be. Suddenly they stopped in an area full of street food.

"I'm starving, I'll just go there and get something for us." Gumi said.

"Whatever." Rin said.

"That shop of shaved ice looks awesome, I love the carrot flavour, which one do you want?" Gumi asked.

"I want my brother and best friend back." Rin answered.

"No need to act like that right now, I'll take the orange flavour for you." Gumi said in a friendly tone.

"Do whatever you want." Rin really didn't cared.

Meiko was sitting in her office thinking about her decision. All she has done since letting them go is thinking about it. Was it right? Or were they being serious they were really going out to help other officers. She couldn't figure out and it was killing her inside.

"Commissioner," one of the employees called her, many other employees were there with him "you don't look so good."

"Fuck it, we're going to find officer Kagamine and officer Megpoid." Meiko said in a serious voice.

"What happened?" another employee asked.

"They told me they were going to help other officers but I suspect that they're going to kill Yohioloid." she told them.

"Really commissioner?" another one asked.

'No more questions, you're all coming with me RIGHT NOW!" Meiko demanded and they went away in search of Rin and Gumi.

Rin had been waiting alone in the car for too long now. Why is it taking Gumi so long? Surely she should've had arrived with their shaved ice by now. How is she not back yet? Rin has only one thing to do right now. Go there herself.

She got out of the car and got near the shop and all she saw was the shopkeeper yelling at Gumi.

"Stop attempting to make me sell this to you, you're not one of us, I only do business with my people." the shopkeeper told Gumi.

"C'mon ma'am, just this once, I really need it for our drive." Gumi is still being nice to her. She doesn't wanna cause a big fight.

"I'll tell you as many times as I can, get out of here, my place is only for the Japanese." the shopkeeper has been denying Gumi this whole time for this reason.

"I've already told you ma'am, I'm Japanese, I was born here, I've only ever lived here, I act only according to this culture, why can't you accept that." Gumi said.

"You're not, you need to look like us, now get out." the shopkeeper said to her.

"SHUT UP YOU FUCKING RACIST!" Rin came on the scene and shouted at the shopkeeper.

"Now who are you?" the shopkeeper asked Rin.

"I'm her friend and you're gonna give her what she wants." Rin said with anger.

"Make me." The shopkeeper said.

"GUMI! It's great to see you again." the three of them then heard a voice, one that was familiar to Gumi.

"Yuki?! What are you doing here." Gumi asked her, yes this was Yuki, it had been a while since they first met.

"I was just getting home, my aunt's shop of shaved ice is very near our house for obvious reasons." Yuki said.

"This... this is your aunt." Gumi said.

"Yuki... you know her." the shopkeeper asked her niece Yuki.

"Yes, remember when I told you I almost got hitted by a truck, she was the one who saved my life." Yuki told her.

"She... she did." the shopkeeper didn't knew what to say.

"Can you please give her some free shaved ice." Yuki requested her aunt.

"I-I... okay." her aunt swallowed her pride and gave Rin and Gumi their shaved ice, free also.

"Thanks Yuki, it was great to meet you again." Gumi told her.

"Your welcome, it was nothing compared to what you did for me." Yuki said this and waved her goodbye.

"You know Rin, I still love this country but being caucasian sucks sometimes." Gumi said.

"Don't worry, it all worked out in the end, besides I'm always here for you." Rin said and smiled at her.

"It's been so many hours and we still don't know where he is." Gumi really wanted to break something at this point.

"We can't stop now, I need to find him." Rin said still sounding thirsty for his blood.

"We'll need more than a day, I guess commissioner might even stop us before we could find him." Gumi was starting to get hopeless.

"Wait, can you take a turn from here?" Rin asked.

"Why? Is there a rea-" before Gumi could finish, she remembered the reason "oh, nevermind I'll take the turn right now."

They arrived there. It was a graveyard. Not just any graveyard though, it was the one in which lies Miku and Len. There was no reason to come here. They came here only because Rin wanted to.

"Well, we're here." Gumi said as they got inside.

"I can't believe it has been as long as it has." Rin's voice sounded like she was about to cry.

They quickly founded Miku's and Len's graves. Rin got near them, she collapsed on her knees again, broke down in tears, and hugged both of their gravestones crying as loudly as possible

"Take all the time that you need Rin, all the time that you need." Gumi said to her standing far away.

I hope you liked this chapter. I worked hard on this. Yes, I did just handled racism in the chapter. Don't act like if there aren't particular people like that in every country. That scene was the whole reason I introduced Yuki in the 2nd chapter. Of course, how would you know? None of you probably even read Chapter 2 YOU ASSHOLES!

Either way, I hope you're all ready for the next chapter.
