Note: Emma and Killian are married, but this definitely disregards the last couple seasons

Emma ran her hand over the edge of the crib and looked around the newly completely nursery. She rested her other hand on her swollen belly. Only a few more weeks.

Emma walked over to the dressed and picked up one of the framed photos. Her, Killian, and Henry last Christmas. Emma felt a wave of sadness wash over her and she wiped tears from her eyes.

"Love?"

She turned and saw Killian standing in the doorway.

"Are you alright?" he asked, walking over and wiping her tears away too.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," Emma said, hoping to pass this off as hormones. But when she looked at the photo again, the tears started anew.

"Emma, Love, what's wrong?" Killian asked, placing his hands on either side of her face.

"Killian…" she learned forward and buried her face in his chest, tears falling freely.

Killian was clearly bewildered as to why a happy Christmas photo had set her off, but he knew better than to say anything. He wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back soothingly.

"I'm sorry," Emma said softly, shaking her head.

"Don't be sorry Love," Killian hushed her, "Can you tell me what's got you so upset?"

"Henry…" she said.

"Henry?" Now he was really confused. "Did you two have a fight?"

"No, nothing like that," she shook her head, "I just… what if he hates me?"

"What?" Killian almost laughed, "Henry loves you. He could never hate you, why would you think that?"

"Because… because we're going to have this baby and raise him and give him happy memories and holidays and… and I gave Henry away!"

Emma buried her face in his chest again and Killian sighed. Oh how he wished she was crying over an animal commercial again.

"Love, come sit," he pulled her over to the rocking chair in the corner. Emma sat while Killian knelt in front of her.

"Emma, Love, I need you to listen to me, okay?" Killian started, "Henry does not hate you. Henry could never hate you. When you gave him up, you were doing the best you could for him at the time. You were giving him his best shot at life. And look how it worked out! If you hadn't done what you did, Henry never would have been adopted by Regina. And I know there's been some hard times, but if it weren't for that lad, we never would have met."

"I know you feel bad you weren't there for all those years," he went on, "And all those firsts. And just because you'll be there for those things with this little one, it doesn't mean you loved Henry less. And you know as well as I do that Henry is so excited to get to share all these experiences with his little brother. I know you're sad Love, but what's important is focusing on the good memories you've made since you and the boy found each other again and all the memories we'll make together."

Emma was still crying, but she was also smiling now. She leaned forward and kissed him gently.

"I love you," she breathed, "Thank you."

"Don't need to thank me Love," he said earnestly, "You're growing a person, my job is to support you in that endeavour however I can."
