A/N Hey guys, welcome to a crossover story of X-Men Evolution and the Bourne movie series where the OC Jack Decker is a Treadstone operative with the codename Gemini and he is a mutant with his powers being the same as Mystique's and similar to Rogue's as well, though he usually uses the latter as a last resort since seeing memories of war crimes and other atrocities after touching certain people take a large toll on his mind so he mostly prefers to use his shapeshifting and black ops training to accomplish his missions.

Also, Jack suffers from amnesia as well but the way he developed it is different than how Jason lost his memories and it will be revealed later on, though you'll be surprised to know that I will be pairing up Jack with Mystique.

The reason why is that I see Mystique as a tragic villain and I feel sympathy for her since it's clear that she's just another victim of society's fear and hatred of mutants and the way things ended for her in the show makes it even more tragic, which is why I want to change her fate and I think Jack can help with that since he understands what it's like to be feared and hated just for being different.

Either way, you'll be excited to know that Jack will encounter Jason Bourne a few times where they will work together during those times, but Jack won't be the only mutant in Treadstone and that will have the assassination program be a much bigger threat than what was originally seen in Identity.

Well, that's all I have to say so enjoy.

The sound of waves stirred me from unconsciousness as I let out a quiet groan, slowly opening my eyes and seeing the sky above me that was getting dark from the setting sun as I grimaced from my head pounding and noted that I was lying on something made of sand.

'Oh god...what happened last night?' I thought woozily as I felt disoriented and weak when I slowly sat up, then I started getting dizzy as I let out a dazed groan and clutched my head instinctively as I realized that not only could I not remember what happened but I couldn't remember anything else.

"I can't...remember a thing," I muttered as my head stopped spinning enough for me to carefully look around and I saw that I was at some kind of beach as the sound of the gentle waves was relaxing and it made me think more clearly.

I didn't how I got here or who I am but I wasn't going to figure it out just by staying here so I steeled myself and slowly went to stand up, then my vision swam and I stumbled a little while trying not to collapse when I started feeling nauseous and my head throbbed like no tomorrow.

"Oh...my head," I groaned with a look of complete discomfort as I clutched my head and leaned down to rest a hand on my knee while I breathed heavily and tried not to throw up.

I felt like shit, almost as if someone was pounding my head with a sledgehammer and it was more than making me dizzy as I could barely stand at that point when the dizzy spell and migraine passed before I stood up fully and started making my way off the beach until I heard the faint sound of a helicopter flying by and a nasty headache sharply appeared as a memory flashed by in my head.

I remembered being on some kind of ship and being chased by more than one person, gunshots ringing out as I was running and made it to the deck while a helicopter was shining a searchlight down at me before I had dove over the side and went into the water as I had felt myself getting grazed in the head by a bullet when the memory flash ended and I groaned while shaking my head to clear it.

"Jesus, the fuck was that?" I wondered as I grimaced from the headache that was throbbing and wondered what I was doing that had people trying to kill me.

Either way, I needed to explore my surroundings as I noticed a town nearby and figured that was a good place to start so I started walking in the direction of where the town was, being lost in thought as the headache died down to a dull throb that soon vanished as I continued walking.

It had gotten dark by the time I made it to the town while there were cars passing by at times and there were people still out as I was trying to figure out what that memory flash meant and why people in it were trying to kill me, though I needed to figure out my next move first as I found myself heading into an alleyway.

It was at that moment I noticed them before I even heard them, two from the sounds of their footsteps and they were armed if the way they were walking told me anything until I became taken aback by how I was able to figure that out without realizing it when I picked up the slight sound of a gun safety being flicked off and understood that I was in danger.

"Don't move, asshole," a male voice said, making me stop and I felt the barrel of a gun pressing against the back of my head.

"Whoa, just take it easy," I placated while slowly raising my hands and my mind started running different scenarios on how to take these guys down as my heart started racing.

"Shut the fuck up, now turn around and hand over your wallet or I will blow your goddamn brains out," the man threatened and I slowly turned around to face the people mugging me, studying them without realizing it as I gazed at them with a nervous expression.

I could see that the muggers were both men who are caucasian, one of them dressed in a hoodie and jeans while having a shaved head and green eyes as the second one was more skinny than the other while he appeared slightly nervous like he didn't want to be here as he wore tan cargo pants and a jacket that was halfway zipped up while having messy brown hair and blue eyes.

Even so, it was the guns they were holding that had my attention as the first mugger had a Glock 17 and the second mugger had a Beretta 92FS Inox, the two of them aiming the weapons at me as I noticed that they didn't appear to be well-trained in them as the mugger with the shaved head was holding the Glock sideways while the Beretta in the second mugger's hands was trembling so it was clear that this was the first time the second one was robbing someone and a plan started to form in my head.

"Hey, quit standing there staring like a damn retard and hand me your wallet or I will shoot you in the fucking face!" the first mugger snarled as I noted that he was the bigger threat but he was being an idiot by holding his gun like that since it wasn't practical and he wouldn't be able to hit anyone with such poor accuracy.

"Listen, I don't have a wallet on me so just let me go and walk away," I reasoned uneasily but the first mugger started looking pissed.

"Fine, if you won't hand your wallet over, then I'll kill you and we'll just take it from your fucking corpse," the first mugger growled as he started squeezing the trigger until my expression became cold and focused.

I suddenly knocked the gun out of his hands before doing fast and vicious strikes that rendered him senseless until I sent him to the ground unconscious with a spinning kick, then I spotted the other mugger about to shoot me with a panicked look on his face when I snatched his wrists and threw him to the ground, disarming him and kicking him in the face to knock him out cold when I aimed the Beretta at the unconscious muggers and I widened my eyes when I realized what I just did.

"Oh shit, what the fuck did I just do?" I gasped in shock and disbelief as panic flooded my system and I looked down at the gun in my hands.

I couldn't believe what I had just done and it seriously scared me since it was like I just acted without thinking, though I need to move them before a cop happens to stumble upon the scene and I really wasn't looking forward to being taken to the station and questioned about what happened.

With that in mind, I looked around and spotted a nearby abandoned building before proceeding to move the muggers into the building while making sure I wasn't seen, checking the two men to see if they had anything on them when I removed a backpack from one of them and continued searching them for anything else.

I found a knife and a Colt Python .357 Magnum on the first mugger and some money on the second mugger before I took them and went to open the backpack, placing the three guns inside and closing the backpack until I put it on and left the building.

I needed a place to stay for the night and it had to be somewhere where I could have the privacy to plan my next move so I kept walking through town, finding a store and I bought a burner phone just in case since you never know when one could come in handy, then I continued searching for a place to stay tonight when I found a motel that was perfect.

I purchased a room for the night and used the money I took off one of the muggers to pay for it, then I made my way to the motel room and went inside before I started checking the place out for any exits in case I needed to leave quickly, then I removed the backpack and placed it on the bed until I opened it and took out the three guns when I placed them on the bed and went to grab the remote to turn the TV on.

After that, I went and checked if I had anything on me but my pockets were empty so I didn't have a wallet or anything else on me that could give me a clue as to who I was so I decided to go over what I took from the muggers, examining the three guns while I opened the cylinder of the Python to see that it was loaded, removed the magazine from the Glock to see that it was full, and then I removed the magazine from the Beretta to see that it was full.

I did a brass check on the Glock and the Beretta, seeing that they each had a round in the chamber before I loaded the magazines back into the two handguns and flicked the safeties on while closing the cylinder on the Python until I stored the Python and the Glock back into the backpack while placing the Beretta in the bedside cabinet for easy access as the news started talking about the assassination of a drug lord and that caught my attention.

I watched as the news talked about how the drug lord had been smuggling narcotics in and out of the united states and Canada, the report describing how a single man had snuck aboard his yacht and killed him before the man was reported shot by the drug lord's men during his escape into the water as the drug lord's face was shown on the news.

At that moment, my head ached and I clutched it as a glimpse of some kind of memory appeared in my mind where I had been watching the drug lord from a distance as he was getting on the yacht with his men when I had made a phone call to someone but the conversation was distorted and the only thing I remembered was me saying that I saw him and that I would get it done.

The incomplete memory ended and I shook my head to clear the cobwebs when I started thinking about what just happened and concluded that I might've been involved in the assassination or could've been the assassin responsible for killing the drug lord.

Either way, I needed a shower since I felt grimy so I made my way to the bathroom and took off my clothes, stepping into the shower and turning on the water before tweaking the knobs a bit until the temperature was just right.

I proceeded to lather myself up with soap and started scrubbing all the dirt and grime off me as the warm water relaxed my muscles and the stress just melted away while I let out a groan of relief, just resting my hands on the wall and I thought about my situation.

Judging from the couple of memory flashes that have happened ever since I woke up on that beach, it told me that I might've been an assassin before I lost my memory but those memories were incomplete, distorted, and chaotic so it was hard to figure out what went on between the time I was watching that drug lord to the time I was getting chased and got shot during my escape into the water.

"God, this is all so confusing," I muttered as I frowned slightly.

This whole thing felt overwhelming and I didn't know what happened on that yacht but I do know it led to the death of that drug lord and me getting shot so the first thing I should do tomorrow is look up more information about the incident and see if anything clicks as I finished cleaning myself and turned off the water, stepping out of the shower and using a towel to dry myself off until I went to check myself in the mirror.

I looked in the mirror and froze up when I saw the face of the drug lord staring right back at me and my eyes widened in shock, the reflection of the dead man taking up the same expression I had as I quickly realized that was me, but it wasn't me at the same time.

"What the...fuck?" I questioned while the reflection's mouth was moving and saying the same words I was uttering.

I raised my hand and saw the reflection do the same as I started feeling my face and tilted my head from time to time with the reflection mimicking my every movement and there was no doubt about it now, I had the appearance of someone else who is dead and it was pretty freaky if I had to be honest so I wanted to look like myself again and I had no idea what I really looked like.

Suddenly, a memory of me looking in a mirror came flashing back and my reflection was a caucasian man in his early to mid-thirties as he had short brown hair and blue eyes while having a slightly tanned complexion and looked athletic as he wasn't wearing a shirt, showing off his bare chest that looked toned from years of hard work.

The memory ended and I realized that was what I looked like so I pictured my old appearance and saw something very strange in the mirror, the reflection's skin tone changing from a rich chocolaty color to a slightly tanned caucasian one as the short hair shifted from black and curly to straight and brown while the eye color changed from brown to blue.

I gaped at what I was seeing as the face of the person in the mirror started altering and shifting while the bare torso started slightly swelling up with athletic muscle until the appearance of the drug lord was gone and my reflection was staring back at me with a stunned expression.

"Oh my god," I gasped in shock and astonishment.

There was no denying it, I had changed into another person entirely and shifted back without complications but what amazed me was how fluid and effortless it looked and it didn't hurt at all, though what had my attention is how it struck a sense of familiarity in me like I had done it before so I suppose it was one reason why I wasn't panicking and slipping into denial right now.

'So, I'm some kind of...shapeshifter?' I thought and it made sense since I was able to literally become another person and change back so I wanted to know more about this ability I had so I decided that tomorrow, I would locate a place that was private and see what kind of limits this power had.

With that in mind, I left the bathroom with my dirty clothes and put on my boxers so while I wasn't keen on wearing my dirty clothes tomorrow, they would have to do until I would buy fresh clothes at a store with the money I still had on me but I didn't have a lot so I would have to pick clothes that weren't expensive since I was going to run out of money soon.

On the plus side, my clothes didn't smell too bad to where people would notice so I'll be making a trip to a clothing store so that I could get fresh clean clothes to wear as I folded my dirty clothes and put them on the bed-side cabinet until I went to bed and turned off the TV, as well as the lamp until I went to sleep after that.

I had woken up once it was morning and thought about how I had a dream last night but the only thing I remembered from it was the name Jack, so I assumed that was my first name as I got out of bed and made the sheets and blanket before I found myself doing push-ups and crunches for some reason so I didn't know why since I had the urge to do it and I theorized that maybe I have military training or something.

Either way, I took a morning shower and got dressed before I put on the backpack and took the Beretta out of the bedside cabinet, making sure the safety was on and I stuffed the gun in the back of my pants and made sure it was hidden by my shirt.

With that done, I checked the room just to make sure that I wasn't missing anything and left the motel room with my first plan of action being to get some clean clothes as I locked the door and went to drop the key off to the owner of the motel until I left and started making my way back into town.

I could see it was a busy day today as people were either driving to work, taking the bus, or simply walking while I kept my eyes open for those muggers that tried to rob me since the one with the shaved head was most certainly going to hold a grudge after I knocked him and his friend out before stealing their stuff.

At that moment, I started getting the feeling that I was being followed but I didn't look around since I didn't want to alert the person who was following me so a plan started forming in my head where I would lure the person somewhere that didn't have many people around to make sure nobody got involved and then I would take the person by surprise once we were alone.

Now that I had a plan of attack, I subtly looked around and spotted an alley before I casually made my way to it and went inside, walking for a little bit until I was far enough away from the alleyway to make sure there wouldn't be any witnesses when I pulled out the Beretta and flicked the safety off while turning around to aim at whoever was following me.

I didn't see anyone but now I had the sensation that I was being watched so I slowly went down the alley while keeping the gun up as I aimed around and was fully alert as I kept my eyes and ears open for the slightest hint of a noise or something moving.

I soon made it to an open area that was surrounded by buildings as I was fully focused on my surroundings and holding a narrowed expression on my face when I spotted something moving and snapped the gun at it, only to relax slightly when I saw that it was a dog and it looked to be a Doberman from what I could tell as I let out a sigh of relief and lowered the gun.

"Just a fucking dog," I muttered and noticed that the Doberman didn't have a collar on so it must be a stray or something.

I flicked the safety on and looked away before stuffing the gun in the back of my pants again and sighed, inwardly reprimanding myself for being so damn paranoid but I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised since I was almost robbed and killed last night when I turned around to tell the dog to go home until I was startled by a caucasian woman standing where the dog used to be.

The woman appeared to be around my age or maybe a little older as she had neatly brushed brown hair that was neck long and had brown eyes while she was wearing eyeglasses, ear piercings of some kind, a necklace with a purple stone, a gray suit jacket, light purple shirt, a gray skirt, and black shoes with heels but what had me alarmed was the fact that she snuck up on me without me even noticing.

"Jesus, w-who the hell are you?!" I yelped in shock as I reached for the Beretta and grabbed it before the woman put a finger on her lips and gently shushed me.

"My name is Mystique and I am like you," the woman introduced as she had a confident smirk on her face but I didn't know what the hell she was talking about unless she meant my powers and I stared at her suspiciously while keeping my hand on the Beretta.

"What are you talking about? I don't know who you are but I wouldn't sneak up on someone like that if I were you since that's just going to get you into trouble," I pointed out skeptically as I watched Mystique for any sudden moves and she chuckled.

"If you don't believe me, then I'll prove it to you," Mystique stated and what happened next stunned me.

Her body started changing before my eyes as her clothes and accessories melded into her while fur sprouted across her form, her body shrinking while her face pushed out into a muzzle and her ears stretched out into points while her feminine appearance melted into a more canine one as her hands and feet shifted into paws, her arms and legs altering into a canine shape while her chest barreled out and her torso straightened out as her hips shortened and she lowered herself onto all fours while her shoulders melded into her torso.

Before my eyes, Mystique morphed into the Doberman I had seen earlier and she let out a couple of barks before her body started changing again as she rose up with her canine appearance shifting into a humanoid one before the canine appearance melted away like wax into a human appearance but her body took on masculine traits as her body became male and her altering facial features became very familiar until my eyes widened when I saw that she was becoming an exact replica of myself as clothes the same as mine were forming on Mystique's new shape.

I stared at the woman who had morphed into a dog and me while my double smirked at the expression that was on my face until Mystique started changing a third time, her current form slimming down and becoming more feminine as the slightly tanned skin tone started changing into a bright blue color while her hips widened and her chest formed a pair of breasts as her face shifted and her body became slender but slightly built, her eyes becoming a pale yellow and her hair color changing while the short brown hair became red and grew down to her shoulders.

Finally, the clothes she had on shaped into a white sleeveless dress with a high neck, a purple skimsuit under the dress, thigh-high white boots, and white fingerless gloves which nearly reached to her shoulders until she was done and I just gawked at the female shapeshifter while I was shocked by how she had changed her body like I can and I was almost rendered speechless because of it.

"Oh my god, you can change your appearance like I can?" I gasped in astonishment and Mystique smiled at my stunned expression before she nodded.

"Yes, I am a mutant that can shapeshift so are you satisfied?" Mystique questioned, and while I was still skeptical of her, I had become convinced enough to take my hand off the Beretta and decided to get answers from her since I had so many questions now.

"Yeah, I believe you now so what do you want?" I asked.

"I didn't come here to hurt you, only make you an offer. You see, we aren't the only ones as there are more of us out there who are just as misunderstood and shunned by society as we are because we are superior to humans and it scares them because of it.

Because of that, a group of us have come together and become a sort of family who is no longer alone in a world that despises us just for existing," Mystique explained and the knowledge of more people out there who are like me and this woman had my curiosity but I was still suspicious of her since something about her had me on edge.

"Okay, let's say I agree to this so what do I get out of it?" I asked and Mystique grinned.

"If you were to join us, I can promise you power beyond your wildest dreams and control over the humans who hate us just for being different so how does that sound?" Mystique offered and waited for my response.

Seeing her act a bit seductive to try and win me over had me less than impressed and it just caused red flags in my head to pop up since it was very clear that she and this group she was working for didn't have good intentions for the human race so I narrowed my eyes and Mystique's smile disappeared when she saw how unamused I was by her efforts to convince me to join this group she was a part of.

"I'm not interested and while I may not know you, I know your kind and I will never be like you," I refused with a hard edge in my tone and Mystique started scowling.

"That's a shame, too bad you made the wrong decision," Mystique declared before she went to grab me.

I dodged and sent a swift kick at her side, only she evaded it and started throwing fast and vicious punches at me while I deflected or evaded them as my eyes became cold and focused before leaning out of the way of a nasty right hook and retaliating with counter attacks that she avoided.

She was fast and well-trained, that was for sure but so was I and neither of us was gaining the upper hand as she attempted a spinning kick and I grabbed her foot, twisting it before she spun in mid-air while I attempted to kick her in the back but she used the momentum to twirl out of the way and sent an ax-kick at my head.

I blocked it and threw her back, prompting her to do a backflip when she landed on the ground and sent a fist right at me before I rolled out of the way and her fist struck the brick wall, causing a crack to appear and she spun around to attempt to hit me but I avoided the attacks that were starting to get deadly and she dodged my attacks that would've injured her.

It was clear that neither of us was able to overpower one another and Mystique appeared to be coming to that conclusion if the look of irritation on her face told me anything, though she faked a swing and tried to get me with a roundhouse kick but I blocked it and shoved it aside as she spun like a top and I ducked as her foot came at me again until she let out a growl of frustration and jumped back.

As Mystique flipped back, she started changing again as tan fur sprouted and her clothes melded into her body while her blue-skinned appearance started morphing into another animal, her shape looking more and more feline as her face pushed out into a muzzle, her body bulked up slightly, her hands and feet became paws, her arms and legs turned completely feline, and a tail grew until she was in the form of a lioness.

Mystique let out a growl as she started circling me and I kept her in my field of vision at all times now that she had become a very dangerous predator when I pondered if I could also morph into animals and just somehow knew how to counter her current form so I pictured a cougar in my mind and the changes started.

I got down on all fours as my body shifted and changed into a more feline shape as the backpack slipped off my morphing body and the Beretta fell to the ground because of my clothes melding into me until I was now in the form of a cougar and was amazed by what I did but I didn't think about it all that much since I still had a dangerous threat to deal with.

Mystique and I circled each other while growling as I studied her to see if I can find an opening when the female shapeshifter suddenly charged at me with a vicious snarl and started swiping at me with her claws, making me dart to the side to avoid the lethal attack and I swiped back at her as the fight consisted of us swiping at each other or dodging as I pounced at her once and she darted out of the way with a roar.

Pretty soon, she pounced at me and I swiped at her in the hopes of slashing her in mid-air when her feline body changed suddenly, becoming a hawk and she let out a cry as she flew out of the way of my claws that would've seriously hurt her.

Seeing her now in the form of a bird, I leaped up and changed into a falcon before taking off after her as Mystique let out an angry caw and we fought in the air, the two of us trying to peck or scratch each other with our talons and beaks but neither of us was able to accomplish it and this fight was dragging on to the point where I was getting pretty irritated since she just wouldn't hold still.

So, I suddenly folded my wings and dove down at Mystique at the speed of a rocket and she apparently wasn't expecting that since I collided into her and she let out a cry of pain as we both fell back down when I felt her body growing larger and her feathers shifted into gray fur.

I witnessed her shaping her body into a gray wolf and took off before she could bite me as she landed on all fours and I dove down before also becoming a gray wolf and landed on all fours, then Mystique snarled as we circled each other again and my fur bristled while my tail twitched in agitation when we charged at each other.

Our lupine bodies collided against one another and it made the both of us yelp as we fell to the ground but then we started rolling around, biting and scratching each other as it created gashes across our bodies while our vicious snarls and aggressive barks echoed throughout the area when I eventually found myself on her back and digging my claws into it as I bit down on her scruff and Mystique tried bucking me off and thrashing around to loosen my grip when something unexpected happened.

Mystique let out a whine of discomfort as unfamiliar images rushed through my mind and I felt horror, grief, anger, rage, guilt, and more hit me hard and it took me off guard as I loosened my grip slightly, then Mystique suddenly slammed herself against a wall and a pained yelp left my lupine muzzle as I had let go and shifted back into my human appearance involuntarily because of the impact.

My head hurt after hitting it against the wall but that wasn't important since I was in immediate danger as I saw Mystique slowly approaching while still in the form of a wolf, licking her chops and I knew that wasn't a good sign but one problem was the fact that she was cornering me so I barely had room to maneuver and I knew that she was going to rip me apart if I didn't come up with something fast when I spotted the Beretta nearby just out of the corner of my eye.

Mystique seemed to notice the gun as well and she suddenly lunged at me with her mouth open, making me raise my arms as a form of defense when a red laser blast struck Mystique in her side and she let out a yelp of pain as the blast sent her into a nearby wall on my right, bouncing off it and crashing to the ground before morphing back to her blue-skinned form.

I looked to see where that came from and saw a group of people quickly arriving as most of them were wearing some kind of costumes, with the exception of one who was a bald middle-aged caucasian man in a wheelchair as Mystique groaned and got up while shaking her head until she saw the group of people and looked highly displeased.

"Dammit, this isn't over," Mystique stated while she looked roughed up until she shifted into a crow and took off into the sky.

I quickly got up and ran over to the Beretta, snatching it off the ground and I went to aim at Mystique but she had quickly flew away and was too far for me to get a good shot on her so I turned my attention to the group of people and aimed the gun at them instead since I didn't know if they were an enemy or not.

"Lower the gun, we're not here to hurt you, bub," one man said, the guy having a gruff tone of voice with a slight Canadian accent as his outfit had a black and orange color scheme.

"He's right, you're safe now," a woman with a dark complexion and pure white hair reassured me but I stared at the group suspiciously.

"Yeah? That's what that woman said until she tried to fucking kill me," I pointed out with a hard tone in my voice.

"I know this must be very difficult for you to understand, what's happening to you and why it's happening, but we only wish to help," the bald man in the wheelchair told me calmly while raising his hands slowly to show that he wasn't a threat.

"How do I know this isn't some kind of trick?" I questioned, keeping the Beretta trained on the group.

"Buddy, if we wanted to hurt you, then trust me when I say that we would have done it already," a young man with a visor covering his eyes responded, prompting a girl with red hair to elbow him in the side as I tensed up at what he said.

"Please, we want to help you so you can trust us, you're among friends," the bald man told me with a warm smile.

"Sorry, but I don't believe you because that woman tried to do the same thing you're doing and attempted to kill me when I refused her offer to join a group she was part of, so forgive me if I'm a little distrustful of strangers right now," I stated and the bald man nodded in response.

"Of course, you have every right to be suspicious of us after what you've just been through but I would like to show you that we aren't your enemy, if you would allow me," the man said.

"Such as?" I inquired.

"I have the ability to send telepathic messages or images into the minds of others so, with your consent, I would like to show you that we are truly here to help you," the man offered and I started contemplating his offer.

He wasn't lying from what I could tell and they did save my life but chances are they were simply trying to lower my guard like Mystique tried to do so I thought about the pros and cons of this and eventually came to a decision.

"Okay, I've thought about it and I've decided to give you my consent but don't try anything clever or you won't like the consequences," I warned sternly and the man nodded.

"Of course, this should only take a few seconds and it won't hurt at all if you have any concerns about it," the man reassured until he took up a slight look of concentration and I waited to see what would happen next.

Before I knew it, images appeared in my mind and they weren't as chaotic as before while they showed the group helping other people with their powers and taking in other mutants that had nowhere to go after being shunned and feared by humanity, feeling the kindness and compassion as those mutants were given a place to belong in a mansion not far from town and taught how to control their powers so that the ones who had the more dangerous abilities would be careful with them and show humanity that they don't have to be something to fear and hate.

Once the images went away, I stared at the group of mutants who are trying to do good by showing humanity that equality was possible between mutants and humans while thinking about what to do next when I made my choice and flicked on the safety of the Beretta and lowered the gun.

"Okay, I know now that you people can be trusted so I'm going to give you all the benefit of the doubt for now," I said before the man smiled at that.

"Very good, now there's an institute for mutants who are shunned by humanity so you'll be able to have a place to belong while learning how to control your powers, so our transportation isn't far from here," the man told me and I nodded while stuffing the Beretta in the back of my pants and went to pick up the backpack so that I can put it on.

"Alright, lead the way then," I said and the group started going down an alley while I stayed right behind them.

Pretty soon, we made it to a black van that was parked in the alley and got in it before we started driving out of the alley and we made our way through town as I introduced myself and talked with a couple of the others to pass the time when I noticed that we were leaving town and driving down a road that went through the forest and I had no idea where we were going and wondered what this new life would have in store for me.

A/N Hey guys, hope you're enjoying the first chapter so far since the next chapter will show Jack adjusting to his new life at the X-mansion, explaining his amnesia to the X-Men and what he's found out so far, and discover more about his powers and lethal skills so let me know what you think and stay tuned.
