The sound of a door clicking open meets his ears as he starts to blink awake.

He's startled to find his surroundings have changed, the room is too big to be his with the light lavender walls surrounding him being different from the pale blue ones he was used to.

The light entering his room is another thing that clues him in on the fact that something is different.

The last thing he remembers was-

He can't remember, Why can't he remember?

What will his-

His who?

Why can he remember his old room?

But not his-

"Hinata-Sama, good morning." A soft sound of a woman's voice interrupts his confusion.

'Hinata-Sama?' His name was-

Tilting his head, dark purple locks fell into his face.

his thought he had dark brown hair?

His gaze meets the gaze of familiar yet foreign eyes.

He knows he's seen eyes like that before.

The woman's hair is straight and long, dark as night cascading down her face parting down the middle with an intricate wrap around her head.

"Hinata-Sama, it's time for your first day at the academy, aren't you excited you're gonna become a strong kunoichi and I'm sure you'll become a great clan leader when you grow up."

'Kunoichi?' Isn't that a feminine term? Hinata? Why does that ring a bell in his mind?

As the lady comes closer she gently guides the confused boy?

Why is the sudden ability to breath easily a new sensation?

Speaking of new sensations he feels a warm gentle but fierce…essence coil around his body giving off a reassuring hum. If he concentrates hard enough he can almost see it. The gentle hands of the woman pushing him under a spray of water Jarr's him.

Sputtering, he flails the woman surprised but catches him, "hime-Sama! I'm so sorry I should have said something."

"N-no it's okay, may I have a minute alone?" He asks, his voice should be deeper, at least he thinks.

"I, I don't think that-"

"Please!" he whispers desperately.

"O-okay Hime-Sama, please call if you need anything" the woman doesn't know what should happen if the heiress gets hurt on her first day.

"Thank you-" he pauses, not knowing the woman's name.

Keeping his frantic thoughts to himself, his heart pounding as the door closes behind the woman.

Turning he immediately walks up to the mirror wondering why he's so short? While he's no one tall, he's an average 5'7.

Though the person staring back at him isn't a man, but a tiny seemingly five year old purple haired girl.

Staring into the pupiless lavender eyes more pale than the room she awoke to, he suddenly remembers, everything, well his mind is suddenly bombarded with an influx of information, merging together to form a brand new person as the young child's souls and the soul of the older boy who was taken too soon, starts to mold together.

The appearance of Hamura seems to stop time as he soothes the shaking child who's going to take on so much, placing a hand on the little girl's forehead hoping to soothe the transition.

The poor boy whose souls he had held in his grasp has been taken too soon…he doesn't know why this particular essence calls to him, but he feels this boy can change his world, and he selfishly wants his descendant to be the one to do it.

He almost feels guilty for taking advantage of the innocent girl for this but he thinks an eternity with her sweet mother will suffice.

Plus, he doesn't like how dull the future is from the boy's memories are.

The boy seems to want to have a purpose, so what would he do in the body of one of the most unsuspecting people to become a powerhouse?

The boy, or Hinata now can remember, he can remember how he was a 16 year old who had just graduated early from highschool, sad how easy it was to half ass it, education system is shit in America.

His former heart condition he had been born with, but eventually got surgery for wasn't supposed to affect him at least until later in life, had started acting up.

It didn't help that Covid had overloaded the hospitals, making it difficult to find a place that would see him or take him seriously.

He thinks his heart gave out, the last months of his memory were hazel as he was unconscious for most of it as his heart wasn't supplying him with blood.

He can't think of how it happened, he doesn't care, he's just glad that everything is over the anxiety of never knowing when he'll die, if he'll die.

But then he's not him, but a little girl watching as the sweet smile of a kind woman tells her how beautiful she is, how happy she is to have had her for a daughter, then she's no longer there.

He, no she sees men appearing above her as they take her from her bed, she feels the pinch and then darkness, then she hears her fathers harsh voice, reminding her that while he's firm, he's never talked to her in that tone,

she's thankful.

She listens as her father pleads for her uncle to not do something, but the safety of her fathers arms lulled her to sleep.

The next time she woke she was being cradled protectively in her fathers arm making her cherish the feeling.

He/she can't understand what's happening? She/he wants the confusing memories to stop.

'It hurts'

'It hurts'

"It hurts!"

"Shh, little one, you're going to be okay, you're gonna be okay, you've got a big destiny awaiting for you. You think I wouldn't sooth the ride for my favorite little Hyuga" the soft voice caresses the child's ear as the little girl's head lulls before drooping.

The soothing essence of Hamura invades her head and gently guides the merging of souls to be more steady, and precise, not wanting his little pet to go insane because of his lack of foresight.

After what seems like hours, but was only seconds for the poor traumatized child the girl jerks awake, her body spinning as she meets his, her eyes wide ding in recognition.

"You-you're-"

"Hamura-Sama" the polite manners instilled into the aspect of… "old" Hinata still fresh into her mind.

She never was one to care for her gender, she was mistaken for a woman more times than she can count, when she had been a boy, and it would be an insult in her opinion to think being a woman was anything bad.

Not that she can't understand those who aren't as gender fluid as she was, is?

She doesn't really care for pronouns, she is okay with the binary terms or non-binary, but she can say she isn't upset that she'll grow into a beauty, as she's always envied the woman's physique, though that might have been because her former body had been really feminin so it's not a huge change, other than the genitalia.

The future breast and lack of penis is a little weird to think about, but she's nothing if not adaptable.

"Sorry, I kinda tend to get lost in the thought side effect of being cooped up in a room slowly dying" the cynical words coming out of her sweet voice, is scary if she's honest.

"I see you're adjusting well hime-chan" the being, Hamura teases lightly, making her childish reactions sprout as she blushes, though if she was still he, she would have blushed all the same.

"S-Stop!" She squeaks before the situation fully settles into her mind, before she can freak out Hamura speak his voice causing her to straighten.

"Hinata Hyūga, you were and was a kind person, maybe a little selfish, but what child isn't," she is a child, but mentally.. well considering how old Hamura is…"you genuinely wish to do good, but you feel you're never given the opportunity." Here he pauses staring straight into her soul.

"Or is it you run away from the opportunities" making her freeze.

"Oh, I understand. You're scared it's too good to be true so you abandon it, you are scared of rejection so you reject before they can. Not just in relationships, but in opportunities."

"Sweetheart, you're in a peculiar position." His words searing into her mind, "this is irreversible, so you can live life abandoning opportunities given to you? Or you can grab this chance and actually do something with that amazing potential I see in you my little descendant."

She watches as the being disappears.

Her mind goes a mile a minute as she contemplates on how to proceed, whatever the man, god? Did, had made her merge with the little Hyüga Heiress making them become one, as she's the older personality persisted through the merge, she doesn't feel guilty as she is still Hinata, just more.

The voice of the woman, Yuru, makes her realize she hasn't bathed yet, calling back more confident than she's ever felt she starts her daily routine though this time alone.

She wonders how this is gonna turn out.

She also wonders what Haruma did to her? As she feels more full than she had before?
