Chapter 1: Get Rekt, Noob

Authors Note:

I randomly had this idea like two years ago and it's been sitting in my head and on my computer ever since. I never thought I'd do anything with it, but here we are. This story is in honor of Nico's birthday, January 28th. All hail the ghost king!

This 5 part mini-series is inspired by D&D, Goblin Slayer, various fantasy worlds, and the Isekai genre as a whole. This story is Rated T, so no lemons for obvious reasons. Yes, it's technically a harem because there are multiple girls, but the MC is gay, so it'll be a wholsome harem, if there is such a thing.

I can't believe I'm actually writing and publishing this thing, jeez.

This story is silly, stupid, and all of the numbers in it don't really mean anything, despite all the work I put into their character sheets, so don't keep track of them, I won't. "Mythomagic: Online"

Chapter 1: Get Rekt, Noob

Nico sliced through the stomach of a Troll, severing it in two and swinging at the next troll without missing a beat. His blade danced as he dispatched the monsters.

The small horde of Trolls stood no chance as he cut a swath through their ranks with bored ease.

They provided a decent amount of XP, but they still couldn't stand more than one of his attacks. Lame, Nico thought. Where's the challenge?

A message popped up before him.

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: Nico, yru still up? isnt it like 3am there?}

Nico leaned forward in his gaming chair to type out a reply.

~{Morte_Ghost_King: sup, Frank. i'm bored af. sleep is overrated. wbu?}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: finally got done with homework, college is killing me}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: 1st time i've gotten on all week}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: i dont envy u}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: wanna rek some noobs?}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: always makes me feel better}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: yeh, 1 sec}

[[Crazy_Dolphin7 has joined the party]]

Nico smirked, cracking his knuckles, destroying noobs online was a favored pastime of his. He wasn't the feared, number-one ranked player in the world for nothing. He had prematurely ended hundreds of players' hopes over the years.

Best to keep them scared of me, Nico thought. It keeps only the top players from challenging me.

Nico— or as he was better known in-game and online; Morte: The Ghost King— was the only max level player in the game, all the way at level 150. Frank was a good friend of his and a party member, and while he was pretty good at the game, he was only level 103. He just didn't have enough time to play as he used to as he started going to college. Plus, Frank wasn't aggressive enough to participate in the 1v1 ranked tournaments and matches that granted the most XP and Legendary gear. Once you hit level 100, the XP needed to level up increases by a ridiculous amount each level. It took Frank three months to increase from level 102 to 103.

In contrast it took Nico less than a week to do the same.

Nico had never been good at anything growing up, he never had any friends or interests, but when a little game called Mythomagic: Online came out on pre-lease for free, he decided what the heck? He had a free weekend and had gotten apathetic towards the rest of his games. He downloaded the game and decided to see if it could keep his interest and distract him from the funeral he had gone to the previous day. That was five years ago.

Now, Nico— or Morte, as he was better known— had kept his title as the number-one ranked player since their first world tournament three years ago, and he had no intention of letting anyone else claim that title. The easiest way he had found to stay at the top was to keep an eye on all the players above level 100, and either invite them to his number-one ranked party, or raid them over and over until they either quit the game or relented to not climb any higher. Whether it took a few hours or a few weeks, Nico didn't care, he had all the time in the world.

He didn't have a job, the last of his family— his older sister, Bianca— had died five years ago, and the last of his irl friends had all either moved away or stopped talking to him after school. He didn't have to worry about a job, he won the World Tournament every year and won a sizable prize each time. Plus, the game devs quickly found out about him and offered to sponsor him to promote their game more, supplying him with a top-of-the-line gaming computer each year, as well as a buttload of money and deals. Nico was set for the next decade at least, all he had to do was stay at the number-one spot.

It shouldn't be too hard, there were only a few clans that could hope to rival his own, but none of them had the balls to challenge his clan a second time.

Nico and Frank were standing in front of the Ancient Demon Lord's Castle, farming XP, when Frank messaged him.

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: here comes another party}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: looks to be 7 players. levels 67-81. decent gear}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: should b a piece of cake. lets go}

Nico summoned a pair of raven wings and flew at the lead player, swinging his enchanted blade and dealing a lot of damage in a single hit. The remaining six players all moved back, Nico could practically sense the dread and realization through the screen as they realized who was attacking them.

They didn't stand a chance.

Nico smirked with wicked glee as the party rage quit after respawning without all their gear and down a massive amount of XP and levels. Frank started going through the drop loot, looking for something good, but Nico didn't bother. He had the best gear in the game anyway. Having the game devs award him a new piece of gear after he won every World Tournament always guaranteed he had the best gear with little effort. While everyone else had to hope to find the legendary gear in random loot boxes, he just got them for free after winning Worlds' and horded the loot box spawn areas for himself.

~{Morte_Ghost_King: what did i say? ez fight}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: u were right, they didnt last long}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: i think im gonna log off for the night}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: need to get some sleep. classes in 5 hours}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: u gonna get off?}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: u crazy? The european players will b getting on soon. Need to defend my throne lol}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: y did i even ask? But try 2 get sum sleep}

~{Crazy_Dolphin7: later, bro}

~{Morte_Ghost_King: later dude}

[[Crazy_Dolphin7 has left the party]]

After Frank logged off, Nico stayed around the Ancient Demon Lord's Castle, waiting for more players. The Ancient Demon Lord, or ADL as he was known online, was the newly added final boss in the game, which had never been defeated. Not even by Nico. He was waiting for his party to either finish completing their builds or for them to have enough time to play to gather fifteen to twenty of them to challenge the Ancient Demon Lord. They were planning on challenging the final boss in two weeks, and Nico had heard from the game devs that the ADL was at an insane level, with absolutely ludicrous stats, and that they didn't expect a party of under fifty players to beat him. Nico intended to do it with almost a third.

He was also suggested in an email by one of his buddies on the dev team to time his defeat of the ADL around the new 1.9 release in two weeks, so he figured he'd do so. Hopefully if he played along they'd gift him some new gear, he was getting bored with his. They kept him pretty happy though, since he was the unofficial face of the game.

A party of eleven or twelve entered the area, alerting Nico, causing him to smile to himself in his dark room. Finally, a decent challenge.

~page break~

"Is that a mimic or a loot chest?" Dark Elf Ranger asked. "It looks like a mimic to me, we should be careful."

"Eh, you're too careful." Cat-Girl Warlock said, walking up to the loot chest/mimic. "Learn to live a little."

"We only live once." Dark Elf Ranger stressed, hiding behind a large rock. They were too deep in the cave, probably surrounded by Goblins. She didn't like enclosed spaces. "So you should be a little more careful."

"How are we ever going to be famous adventurers by being careful?" Cat-Girl Warlock stopped in front of the loot chest/mimic, unable to tell which it was. With a shrug, she opened it. Dark Elf Ranger squeaked in fear, diving behind the rock.

It opened and didn't immediately maul them, so it turned out to be a real loot chest, which was Cat-Girl Warlock's preference. As she finished opening the chest, it began glowing a brilliant diamond, nearly blinding her.

"No way…" She muttered in disbelief. "It's a Legendary Diamond Loot Chest."

"What?" Dark Elf Ranger asked from behind the rock. "Stop messing with me, we're too low a level. What is it really? A copper loot chest?"

"N-no, it's really a Legendary Diamond Loot chest."

"Yeah, right."

"Well, come over here and see for yourself, then."

Dark Elf Ranger reluctantly came out from behind her rock and hesitantly made her way over to her sole party member and oldest friend. Her shining blue, pupil-less eyes widening in shock. "N-no way! It's a Legendary Diamond loot chest!"

"I told you, but you didn't believe me." Cat-Girl Warlock said smugly. "Wanna see what's inside?"

"Of course." Dark Elf Ranger said excitedly. "Legendary Diamond chests hold legendary enchanted weapons, armors, gear and spellbooks. With it, we'll be able to compete against the other parties in the guild."

With a hesitant paw, Cat-Girl Warlock reached into the loot chest and pulled out a single, fist-sized glass orb.

"Is that it?" Dark Elf Ranger all but demanded, extremely let down. "All we get from the only legendary diamond chest we find is a crystal ball? We can buy a cheap one of those for a few copper pieces. Lame."

When her usually talkative friend didn't say anything, Dark Elf Ranger grew a little worried. "Cat-Girl Warlock, are you okay? What's wrong?"

"...T-this isn't a crystal ball…"

"Then what is it?"

Cat-Girl Warlock inspected the glowing glass orb in her paws with a careful eye. "It's a Summoning Orb."

"And what's so special about that?"

"Casters like me can summon beast familiars to aid us in combat. They're really rare."

Dark Elf Ranger inspected the orb with more reverence. "You mean like the Golden Battle Princess of Castle Greywater? She was able to summon a dragon to help her fight the Demon Generals last year!" Dark Elf Ranger couldn't keep her excitement in check, with something like this, they'd finally be able to level up as adventures.

"What do you think you can summon with it?"

"I have no idea." Cat-Girl Warlock admitted. "It's different for every Summoner. But since I don't know if this is a single-use orb or not, let's not use it until we need it."

Dark Elf Ranger was disappointed that she didn't get to see what it summoned right then, but she figured it was for the best. The summons could have a timer on it, after all, and they were at the end of a cave. So by the time they get out of there, the summons could time out. "Fine. But let's get out of here, I don't like caves."

"Scared of the dark?" Cat-Girl Warlock teased.

A growl escaped Dark Elf Ranger's lips. "I'm a Dark Elf. I can see perfectly fine in the dark, I don't actually see a difference than when we're outside. My kind just doesn't like being in enclosed spaces. Since we're from—."

"Since your kind is from a bewitched, magically dark forest, I know." Cat-Girl Warlock interrupted with a teasing smile. "You say it all the time."

"You're a real pain, you know that? Why do I even stay with you?"

"Must be because of my charm." Cat-Girl Warlock grinned before heading back toward where they came. "But let's find a tavern, I'm starving over here."

Dark Elf Ranger produced a berry from thin air. "Have a Tasty Berry. It'll hold you over until morning."

"'Tasty Berries' my fuzzy brown butt. Why can't these things taste better?" Cat-Girl Warlock pouted. "They're magic, so why do they have to taste like dirt?"

Dark Elf Ranger shrugged, they had had this conversation a hundred times before, Cat-Girl Warlock wasn't really expecting an answer. "Come on, let's get out of here."

Cat-Girl Warlock and Dark Elf Ranger had only been in the town for five minutes when a giant horde of Goblins attacked. And being the good adventurers that they were, they ran into the fray to try to keep the small, defenseless town from getting devastated in a single night.

The only problem was that they were already tired from their trek into the caves earlier and they were the only adventures in the town, with the town being too small to house an adventurers guild, so they would be getting back up. Plus, they were really low-leveled.

So Cat-Girl Warlock was left with only one option: use the summoning orb and pray to the Fates that it wasn't a goldfish or something.

She'd take a ferret or something at this point. Even a house cat. Anything.

"I'm going to use it!" Cat-Girl Warlock announced over the roaring flames. Dark Elf Ranger dove behind a flaming cart, knocking an arrow between the eyes of a clueless Goblin. One down, nearly a hundred to go.

"Use what?" Her party member asked as she shot off a half dozen more arrows.

"The Summoning Orb!"

"But we don't even know what it'll summon!" She yelled back over the flames and giddy cries of Goblins. "What if it's a support type?"

"Anything is better than nothing!" She countered. "If there was any time to use it, it's now. Summoning Orb!" She yelled as she threw all of her magic into the orb.

A blinding flash of light exploded to life in front of her, nearly deafening her sensitive ears. The ground shook and the very air shimmered with power. Blinking away the blindness, Cat-Girl Warlock was able to get the first look of her summons. All hope was relying on this.

[[Motre has been summoned. Good luck]]

She couldn't believe her eyes. It wasn't an animal, or magical creature, nor sentient construct, but a humanoid. A humanoid in imposing black armor the color of death, a horned helmet, and billowing cloak. As the humanoid rose from one knee, its eyes sparked alive with a red that could have only come from the pits of the Underworld.

"Morte?" She asked in confusion. Since when could humanoids be summons?

Nico suddenly came to. Everything was blurry, his mind was fuzzy and he had no idea where he was or what he was doing. He was just wrecking some noobs, wasn't he—?"

A blood curdling scream sounded next to him, bringing him back to reality. He spun on the spot, his hands flailing out randomly. A black shard burst from his gloved hand and shot straight through the skull of a Goblin. The tiny green monster fell to the ground with a dull 'thud'. The young woman who screamed looked up to him with hopeful eyes that immediately turned to fear upon seeing him.

"What the—?" Nico started to say.

"Ahhhhhh!" The woman screamed, running away in the direction of more Goblins. "It's a Demon Lord!"

Nico threw out his hand to stop her, "Hey, wait!" But another black shard flew from his hand and missed her by an inch. She screamed again.

"What's going on here? Have I passed out from lack of sleep again?"

"A-are you Morte?" A timid voice asked from behind him.

"Yeah, I am." Nico answered, turning around to find a light brown furred Cat-Folk in a warlock cloak in front of him. He blanched. "I'm sorry, but are you a Cat-Girl?"

"Y-yes." The Cat-Girl squeaked. "I'm also the one who summoned you."

"Summoned me? What are you talking about?"

A barn collapsed across the road, causing terrified villagers to flee in terror. Goblins swarmed them like ants to honey. The Cat-Girl had a horrified look on her face before steeling herself, looking at him. "Morte, as your Summoner, I command you to protect the village. Save everyone you can, kill as many Goblins as you can."

Nico huffed. "Who do you think you are commanding me around? What level are you—?" Suddenly he could no longer speak, and his mind went fuzzy. Before he could blink he leapt into the sky with summoned wings and began raining down dark magic upon the helpless creatures.

All it took was a few minutes for Nico to completely obliterate the Goblins. He mindlessly flew back to Cat-Girl Warlock, awaiting his next order.

"Holy Blofis…" A female Dark Elf mumbled next to him, snapping him out of his haze. "We're so gonna level up after this."

"What's going on here?!" Nico all but demanded. "Where am I? Who are you? How are you controlling me? Were those really Goblins that I just killed?"

The Cat-Girl answered in rapid succession. "You are my Summons. River town. I'm Cat-Girl Warlock, your summoner, this is Dark Elf Ranger. As I just said, you're my Summons. And yes, yes they were Goblins." She said all this like it made sense.

"Wait," Nico started, realization hitting him like a cold chill. "Am… am I in the Realm of Riordan?"

"Yup." The Dark Elf nodded.

"Wait, are you from a different realm?" Cat-Girl Warlock asked. "Like from the Realm of Air? Or… or…" She gulped. "Or from the Underworld?"

"I'm from Earth, actually."

"Earth?" Cat-Girl echoed, saying the word like she had never heard of it before. Which she most likely hadn't. "Where is that? In the Nether Realm? The Valhalla Realm? Jupiter Realm? The Wii'ah-bu Realm?"

Nico cursed in Italian. Dark Elf Ranger jumped away as if he was attempting to curse her. With a sigh, he said, "I can't believe this is happening."

"Me neither." Cat-Girl Warlock said, "So, what exactly are you, Morte? Are you a one-time Summons, or a multiple-use Summons?"

Nico shrugged. "I have no idea. I've never been Summoned before." Nico knew about summoning in the game, of course, but he never let anyone— not even his own clan— summon him.

"Can't you see what his stats are as his Summoner, Cat-Girl Warlock?"

Cat-Girl Warlock's eyes widened with realization. "Oh, yeah! I get a stat log for you. It should be around here somewhere." She said before picking up a thick tome with summoning circles on it out from under a small pile of rubble. Nico assumed it was his. "Now, what exactly are you, Morte? Let's check out your stats—." She opened the tome and instantly yelled.

"YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" She nearly passed out, dropping the tome to the ground.

Dark Elf Ranger caught her friend with natural grace. "Are you okay, Cat-Girl Warlock? What happened?"

"..."

"Cat-Girl Warlock?"

"Are you okay? Say something!"

"...L-look at h-his s-stats."

"What?" Dark Elf Ranger asked, picking up the old tome. "Are his stats really bad? Or is he really good? What is he, like level 30?" She opened the tome and instantly yelled.

"LEVEL 150?! Holy Blofis!" She started reading off his stats. "You're a Chthonic Godling. 5,000 HP! With a +420 HPS? That must be why you are at full health after defeating all those Goblins."

Or because Goblins suck ass, Nico thought.

"You have max stats in both Attack and Defense?"

"666 in both, yes." Nico confirmed.

"H-how is that even possible?"

Nico shrugged. "...I grind a lot?"

"Grind?" Cat-Girl Warlock asked. "What is that?"

"Y'know, when you farm XP a lot?" They both had blank looks on their faces. Nico sighed. "I defeated a lot of high-level monsters."

"Really?" Dark Elf Ranger asked with hopeful glee. "What kind of high-level monsters? Like Skeleton Brutes and Bugbears?"

Nico scoffed. "Bugbears? Those are only level 21, they're noob farm. No, I spent a week farming Giant Dragon Turtles off the shore of Dragonspire Island. They have ridiculous HP and Defense, so they take forever to kill, but they can't really do much damage back."

Dark Elf Ranger's pupilless eyes widened. "You actually killed a Giant Dragon Turtle? By yourself?"

"Yeah, it wasn't that hard. Took like twenty minutes."

"But they're the size of a small island and live really deep under the water. How did you survive under water that deep for so long?"

"I have a lot of HP and HPS." Nico answered. "Even when I started taking drowning damage, my HPS healed more than I took. So I can essentially stay underwater indefinitely."

"That doesn't even make sense…" Dark Elf Ranger said. "You still need air to breathe."

Nico shrugged. "The game is buggy."

Cat-Girl Warlock began looking at his stats now. "You have 800 Mana? Jeez, talk about lucky. I go through Mana so fast. And you have a +420 MPS too? So not fair."

Nico cocked his head to the side. "Aren't you a Warlock? Shouldn't you have a lot of Mana and MPS? Thinking of that, what level are you, anyway? Because your gear is kind of shit, not gonna lie."

Cat-Girl Warlock looked a little hurt when he said that. "Hey, it took me six months to be able to afford this cloak. Not all of us kill Giant Dragon Turtles every other day."

"Sorry." Nico said, not at all sorry. If she didn't want to grind XP and money, that was on her. "I can't see your level for some reason. What level are you? Since you summoned me, you must be what, at least level 120 or something."

"Level 120? Ha, I wish!" Cat-Girl Warlock shook her head, "No, I'm only level 12."

Nico blinked in silence. "Are you sure you're not forgetting a zero after that…?"

"Yup. I'm only level 12. Oh, hey, I just found the option to let you see my stats in this tome. There you go, now you should be able to see mine and Dark Elf Ranger's stats."

Nico didn't even want to look. With her being only level 12, her stats had to suck ass. But her stats popped up in front of him anyway.

Nico wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him. "You have a -25 to HP? How is that possible?"

Cat-Girl pointed to a golden cat bell collar around her neck. "It's my Bell of Obliteration. It grants me a +25 to all Magic Damage, but a -25 to HP and Stealth."

"Then you should take it off! A -25 HP debuff on a character with only 35 HP is suicidal. You only have 10 HP. You shouldn't equip something like that at your level. Where did you even find that? That's a rare drop?"

Cat-Girl Warlock shrugged. "I found it."

"Where?"

She shrugged again. "I don't remember."

"Just take it off already! If you would've gotten hit by a single Goblin you could have died."

"I'd love to. But I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because it's magically sealed tight. I couldn't take it off even if I wanted to. Plus, it's really cute."

Nico cursed in Italian. "How on earth did you Summon me?"

She shrugged again. "I don't know. It doesn't really make sense, does it?"

"That was a rhetorical question!" He looked towards Dark Elf Ranger. "Please tell me you're a higher level."

"Of course I am." Dark Elf Ranger said smugly. "I'm the brains, brawn and beauty among the two of us, after all."

"Ha, yeah right. You're also scared of your own shadow."

"That was one time!"

"Enough." Nico said, opening up Dark Elf Rangers' stats. "Let's see if you're any better."

"...Well, at least you don't have any negatives… right?"

"Nope."

"Good. You have a Rangers' Cloak? That's pretty good, for level 14, at least."

"Thanks."

"Wasn't really a compliment." Nico muttered. "Oh, you have an Enchanted Yew Bow too? That grants a +20 Ranged Attack Bonus. How in the world did you get that at level 14?"

"It was given to me by my grandfather. It was his."

Nico hummed. "That's not bad, not bad at all. You actually do pretty decent Ranged damage. But since you're a Ranger, that should be expected. You're only level 14, but you should be able to fight monsters up to level 25 with your gear. I'd just watch your HP, 50 base is decent for a Ranger at your level, but a small group of Skeletons could take you out if you aren't careful." Nico paused at the surprised looks on their faces. "What?"

"How did you do that?"

"What do you mean?"

"Break down my strengths and weaknesses like that? And know how I'd compare to Skeletons?"

"...It's kind of my thing?" He shrugged. "This game is kind of my life."

"Game?" Cat-Girl Warlock asked. "What game?"

Nico remembered that they were NPCs in the game, so they of course had no concept of what was a 'game' and what was the 'real world'. Or at least to him, since this was their real world. Gah! This was getting confusing.

"Nevermind. You'd just have an existential crisis… or not even be able to comprehend it."

"Okay." Cat-Girl Warlock said this like it was a thing she was told everyday.

"Well, this has been fun and all, but how about you dispel the Summons so I can go home?"

"I'd love to, but I can't."

"...Let me guess, you don't know how?"

"Nope." Cat-Girl Warlock said with a smile, popping the 'p' in nope. "Summons usually go away on their own after a fight or when defeated. Plus, I've never Summoned anything and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing."

Nico cursed in Italian again.

"Maybe it was to do with his level?" Dark Elf Ranger suggested. "Maybe since Morte is such a high level, he has to defeat a strong enough enemy to dispel? Or maybe take enough damage to dispel?"

Nico grumbled under his breath, "But with my ridiculous HP and Defense, the only thing strong enough to do that would be the Ancient Demon Lord—."

A sudden idea cut him off. The Ancient Demon Lord is the final boss in the game, which he himself hadn't even beat yet. And whether he needed to defeat a strong enough enemy to go back home or take enough damage, the Ancient Demon Lord was his best and only chance.

With morbid glee, Nico realized what he had to do; He had to challenge and defeat the Ancient Demon Lord with only himself and two useless, under-level party members.

At least it'll be a challenge, Nico thought with a grin. Finally.

"Listen up you two," Nico said suddenly, trying to sound as menacing and 'in-character' as he possibly could. "If I'm going to be stuck with you, then you need to help me out as well."

Dark Elf Ranger made a face. "But you're our Summons. We tell you what to do, not the other way around."

"It sounds fair to me," Cat-Girl Warlock said. "He helps us, we help him. It's only right."

Dark Elf Ranger grumbled, "Fine."

"I have a very important mission I must accomplish," Nico started. "I must defeat the Ancient Demon Lord, and I need your help."

Both of the girls gasped, eyes wide. "But that's impossible!" Dark Elf Ranger said. "A hundred of the King's greatest knights challenged the Ancient Demon Lord last year but were all decimated in a single attack!"

Nico frowned under his helmet, with only these two girls as his party, this might be harder than he thought.

"It matters not. For the Ancient Demon Lord will destroy the entire Realm in three months time if I do not stop him." Nico said, pulling the number out of his ass. Continuing to wing it, he said, "I was ordered by the High God Riordan himself to complete this task, and if I fail, then with the destruction of this Realm, the Ancient Demon Lord will gain enough strength to defeat the High God Himself.

"So, I must call on you two, noble heroes, to aid me in my quest to defeat the Ancient Demon Lord." He held out his hand, letting it glow with arcane power to make it seem all the more convincing. "Will you join me, honorable adventurers, on my quest to save the Realm?"

"The Ancient Demon Lord is going to destroy the Realm?!" Cat-Girl Warlock shouted in disbelief? "But that's where I keep all my stuff, he can't do that!"

"If you want to… keep your stuff, then you must aid me on my noble quest. You must help me defeat the Ancient Demon Lord."

The girls shared a look for several seconds, seemingly communicating without words. It didn't take long, however, for them both to give him a shaky but agreeing nod. "If it's to save my stuff and the Realm, then we have to."

"I-if we have no other choice," Dark Elf Ranger began hesitantly. "Then I'm in too."

Nico, honestly surprised at their sudden conviction, nodded. But since he lied and said that the entire realm would be destroyed if they didn't help him, it made sense.

"Alright, then. We have three months, let's destroy the Ancient Demon Lord."

Author's Note:

Well, there's chapter 1 of Mythomagic: Online. Never thought I'd see the day. I've had this idea in my head and on my doc for years now, but never thought I'd actually do it.

Sorry for any mistakes/typos, I have a headache and I didn't ask someone to beta this. If there are any big ones, lemme know and I might fix them later.

I honestly have no idea if I'll finish this mini-series, I'm really busy and work and don't have that much time, besides I have another pjo series I'm working on, plus a HP story I need to start. So I don't know if there will be a chapter 2, let alone all 5 chapters. We'll have to see if enough people want this to continue to see if it's worth the time investment.

QOTD: 'What is your favorite fantasy/RPG race?'

Fun Fact: This story, for the last 2 years while it's been mostly in my head, used to be called: "I'm not the Demon Lord! I'm the Ghost King!"

Next Time: Mad cuz bad
