Chapter 6

Bella's POV

I sat at the table with Elijah weeks later after the Thanksgiving dinner. We just sat there staring at each other. That night I had changed everyone's memories, making everyone see a different ending to the dinner at Thanksgiving. Camille was safe in Forks, I had to move her, Jackson was safe in La Push, and Rebekah was safe with my brothers. Now here I sat across from the one man that use to hold my heart at the compound.

"Why did you call, Elijah?" I asked crossing my legs.

"Jackson has gone missing, making Hayley worry, Camille is gone from Lucien's apartment, his body guard is dead, and Rebekah is not where Aurora put her. I'm sure we can find Camille and Rebekah on our own but for Hayleys sake. Now being Jackson's witch, you should know where he is." He told me.

"You should've done as I said, my dear Elijah. Should've put a leash on him, like a good owner." I said smirking. I reached for a crescent when he smacked my hand away.

"Where is he?" He asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Yes, he is my wolf, but he sided with you and the others. But he's not dead, I'll give you that." I told him.

"How do you know?" He asked. I stood up and grabbed a strawberry off the plate.

"Because if he is harmed in anyway, I will feel it." I said biting into the strawberry.

"And if you are harmed?" He asked.

"I think you know the answer to that sweetheart." I said scoffing. I walked around the dining room.

"Ah, yes. If you are harmed he feels it, and if he is harmed you would feel it. Then there's the ability to quickly die if you or someone under the protection spell of yours is to be harmed." He said nodding. I knew what he was about to do. He attacked but I flipped us around and pinned him to a wall. I smirked when he grunted.

"Easy there, lover. I can end you and all that you have created." I warned him.

"You wouldn't dare." He grunted out. I raised an eyebrow at him. I released him and stepped back.

"Oh, I wouldn't?" I asked him. I clenched my fist tightly and he grunted again. He fell to his knees. I stepped closer to him and touched his cheek.

"You forgot, my honey. I don't back down at all." I whispered. He grabbed me by the throat as he forced himself to stand.

"Neither do I." He growled. I smirked as I looked him over. It was always a turn on to watch him be aggressive. His eyes turned to lust as he stared down at me. We released each other and stepped back.

"Where is Jackson? I won't ask again." He said.

"I don't know. Find him for yourself since you're so worried about him." I said huffing. He pinned me to the wall by my neck.

"You know, slowly dying might be worth in finding Jackson." He said gripping my neck tighter. I hummed.

"You truly love the little wolf, don't you? You would have never had fought this hard for me if the tables were turned. I see where you heart truly lies." I said. I kicked him off and rubbed my neck.

"He is alive. That's all you need to know. Tell that to your hybrid whore." I said walking to my purse. I snatched it up and headed for the door.

"I would have. I would have fought for you if the tables were turned." He said. I stopped in my steps and turned to look at him.

"No, you wouldn't have. You never loved me as much as you love her, Elijah. This is just the gentleman in you, trying to fix something that you need to keep close to you. Have a good day, Elijah." I said walking out the door.

"How do you know I wouldn't have fought for you?" He asked following me. I stopped and turned back to him. He was inches from me.

"Because you wouldn't have slept with another woman if you were with her. With me, you slept consistently. Hurting me, left and right. A man who truly loves the woman he claims wouldn't do that to her." I snapped. He was quiet then.

"And would you look at that? We've run out of time. Have a good life while you still can, Elijah." I said turning on my heel. I gasped when I felt a stab to the stomach. I touched my stomach and pulled my hand back when I saw the blood. I turned and saw Elijah had a knife to his stomach.

"It seems we have a bit more time." He said pulling out the knife. I sighed and walked over to him. I poked him in the chest.

"You owe me a dress." I hissed.

"If you didn't care for us, Isabella, we still wouldn't be tied to you." He said. My phone rung in my purse.

"I never said I didn't care for you or the others." I said ignoring the phone.

"You should get that." He said nodding to the phone.

"If it's important they'll leave a message." I said glaring at him. He smirked and cut the palm of his hand. I hissed.

"Stop that!" I snapped.

"Loop holes, Isabella. What I do to myself doesn't cause death at your hands but I can still harm you." He said.

"Which hurts my wolf. I see. You hurt me, he calls me, you try to find out where he is." I said nodding.

"Exactly." He said. I hummed and stepped closer.

"Just be grateful that he's safe Elijah! He's safe from all this chaos that's been caused lately. Unless you want him dead? Do you? Do you want him dead? You do, don't you? Cause with him dead, you get to slip in a be the shoulder she cries on. I mean she already runs to you when she needs a sexual fix." I said smirking. He grabbed me by the neck and pinned me to the wall.

"Uh oh. I hit a nerve didn't I?" I said laughing. His grip tightened.

"I'd watch what I'd say next, Isabella." He growled. I bit my lip. I loved it when someone growled. I found it sexy. His eyes darkened. I couldn't do this, not right now at least. I went to shove his hand away but he grabbed it and pinned it to the wall beside my head.

"I forgot. You like it rough." He whispered.

"I do. Lucien provides me with the roughness all the time. Better than you ever did." I said trying to steady my breathing. He leaned in closer.

"You sure? Cause it seems if I don't give in right now, you'll explode." He said huskily. His hand around my hand and neck both tightened making me gasp.

"I can control myself Elijah. Question is, can you?" I said raising an eyebrow. He looked down at my lips then back at me. I saw something snap in his head. He suddenly slammed his lips to mine. I tried to push him away but something pulled me to him and I just gave in and kissed him back. I don't remember how it happened but he and I ended up in his bedroom, clothes destroyed and a broken bed. He and I did a thing we've never done before. We blood shared. I woke up in a tangled mess of sheets later that night. I grabbed a button up, did my bathroom routine and walked out into the bedroom. Candles had been lit all around the room.. Elijah stood there with two glasses of wine in his hand. He smiled at me.

"Sleep well?" He asked handing me a glass. I walked over to him.

"Better than usual." I said taking it from him.

"Good. I can say the same. Since you've sided with the devil, sleep has been tough." He said sipping his wine.

"I didn't side with Niklaus." I said teasingly. He rolled his eyes at me. I sighed.

"What about your other bed buddy? Hasn't she been keeping your sheets warm in my absence?" I asked rolling the wine in my glass.

"She's been absent. Especially after Jackson went missing." He said.

"He's not missing, Elijah. He's safe. That's all I can tell you." I said sitting down the glass. Before I could reach for my dress, he blurred us against the wall. I gasped slightly.

"You know you have my blood in you. We are one in all sense of the word." He said lifting me up.

"I still can't be compelled. If that's what you're referring too." I told him.

"But I do know your body. You'll give me everything if the right thing is done." He said smirking.

"I'll give you every inch of my body, Elijah. But you won't get everything out of me." I said watching him.

"We'll see." He said. He smashed his lips to mine in a deep seering kiss. I hissed when he bit my lip. I dropped my legs and flipped us.

"I think we've had enough fun." I said panting. He gave me that look that would always make me weak in the knees. I stepped back and turned to grab my dress when I was grabbed and thrown down on the bed. I looked up at Elijah.

"I don't think so." He said kissing me again. I went to push him away but he pinned my hands to the bed making me give in. We kept it up for awhile and also with the blood sharing. I slid out of bed and grabbed my stuff. I walked to the bedroom door and ran into a barrier. I groaned and turned to the bed. I walked over and crossed my arms. I could do a lot of things to this sleeping man right now. But I couldn't hurt him, hurt him. I flung my hand out and threw him across the room. He grunted and got up growling. He stopped when he saw it was me.

"Hello lover. Want to tell me why I can't get out of your room?" I asked angrily. He got up and grabbed his boxers.

"Oh that." He said sighing. He came over to grab his shirt.

"Yes that! Ugh! I can't believe I slept with you! And gave my blood willingly to you! Ugh! I am so stupid!" I said hitting him in the chest. He grabbed my wrists and held them tightly.

"I had Freya spell the room. You and I are stuck in here together until we can come to an agreement. Food and drink will be provided of course, I'm not a barbarian." He said.

"Could've fooled me. Asino." I scoffed. ( Asino-Italian for jackass). I walked over to my purse and grabbed my phone from it. I saw I had a miss call from Jackson. I went to dial Lucien when my phone was snatched away and crushed to pieces. I looked at Elijah.

"You know, breaking my things will get you no where." I told him.

"I'll get you a new one." He said shrugging.

"Of course you will." I said. I walked over to the door and held my hand up. The room shook slightly. I sighed and went to step through but I couldn't. I turned to Elijah.

"Why can't I get out? What spell did you put on this room?" I asked angrily.

"I have your blood in my system and you mine, my darling Belle. I used our blood to spell the room to keep us locked in here." He said smirking.

"Using my blood and powers against me. Clever. So what they say is true. You're not here just for your looks. You do have the brains too." I said crossing my arms.

"Insulting me isn't gonna get you out of here quicker." He said.

"But it does make me feel slightly better. It may be what gets me through our time stuck together." I said huffing.

"Well there is another way." He said sitting on the bed.

"Snapping your neck?" I asked.

"You do that you hurt yourself." He told me.

"It'll be worth it." I mumbled.

"We can read, watch tv." He started. I flung out my hand and threw him across the room. He hit the wall and slid down. I felt the hit against his back.

"Throw you around?" I asked smirking. He got up and pinned me against the wall by my neck.

"So this is how it's gonna be? Us attacking each other? Fighting for dominance? Each time ending with us in bed and drinking from each other?" He asked.

"You can always release us. Then we won't be attacking each other or anything." I said grabbing ahold of his hand. He grunted when it started burning. I hissed but pushed him away.

"Not until I get the answers that I want." He said angrily.

"I told you everything! They may not be the answers you want but it's the truth! Jackson is safe and sound where he can't be apart of this fiasco that's going on! Same with Camille and Rebekah! If you don't believe that then you have no faith in me." I snapped at him.

"You're sleeping with the enemy, why should I believe you?" He asked.

"Because unlike you, I don't lie to the people I care for." I scoffed. He and I fought for the next hour. A maid finally brought something to eat and drink. We ate then started arguing again. I felt Niklaus walking up.

"A lovers spat, I see. This should be good." Niklaus said from the doorway. I walked over to the door and crossed my arms.

"Niklaus, please. Tell this moron of a brother you have, that he needs to trust me when I say, that Camille, Rebekah, and Jackson are all safe." I said huffing.

"I would love too. But you are sleeping with the enemy. Which makes it hard to believe." He said shrugging. Elijah stood next to me.

"I know I slept with Elijah, but really? Calling him the enemy now?" I scoffed. Niklaus stared at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Have you tried calling them? They've been compelled to not give or give details their location, phones can't be traced, and you can't hear background noises, but you can still hear their voices since you miss them so much." I said pinching Elijah's cheek. He slapped my hand away.

"How do we know that it's not a trick?" He asked irritated.

"It's called trust, idiot. But I can see you don't trust me, so enjoy contemplating it." I said shrugging. I went and sat down on the desk of Elijah's. Niklaus pulled out his phone and dialed a number. I grabbed a strawberry and bit into it.

"Hello?" A girls voice asked. His eyes got big. It was Camille.

"Camille? Are you alright?" He asked looking at me.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" She asked laughing.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"Oh umm. I'm not sure. I forgot what this place is called. It's beautiful though. Everything's so colorful and the history of the place is great!" She said. You could hear the smile in her voice.

"Give me details and I'll come get you." He said sighing. I rolled my eyes.

"I can't. I can't describe it. But Klaus when we can, we have to come back! Please!" She said happily.

"Of course, love. I'll call you back later." He said hanging up. I hopped down, smirked and crossed my arms.

"Would you look at that? Your precious human is safe! Now Elijah, if you don't believe me, why don't you call your darling puppy and see how he is." I said.

"I wonder if I snap your neck would I even feel the affect of dying since I already have your blood in my system?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.

"You got your answers, now release me." I said sighing. Elijah looked at Niklaus.

"I don't know. We could use her to our advantage on stopping Lucien and Tristan." Niklaus said smirking.

"And how so? You try to torture me, you hurt your brother and yourself. Try to kill me, you die slowly or I could make it instantly. Or have you forgotten that I can recreate an object to kill you and give it to Lucien or Tristan?" I said showing them my arm. It was the white oak tattoo.

"You wouldn't." Elijah said.

"Try me. Let me out and we won't deal with it. Keep me here, and I'll make sure one of them gets it." I said raising an eyebrow.

"If we let you out then who knows if you'll give it to them besides the fact." Niklaus said.

"Unlike your oh so noble brother, I do keep to my word. Now release me." I said.

"I'm not sure." Elijah said.

"When have I ever lied to you? That's right. Never! Yes I've omitted things but never have I lied. Now release me." I demanded.

"Elijah, your call." Niklaus said before walking off. I looked at Elijah. He stared at me.

"You changed something in my memories. What was it?" He asked. I tensed up.

"What?" I asked. He stepped closer.

"When you and I blood shared. Something tugged at the memory of the Thanksgiving dinner we had. Something changed." He said stepping closer again. I stepped back and hit the wall.

"Nothing changed." I told him.

"Don't lie to me, my little Belle." He said. His final step put us chest to chest.

"I'm not lying. Why would I lie?" I said.

"Fine. You're hiding something from me." He said. I went to push him away but he grabbed my hands and and pinned them to the wall.

"Tell me and I'll release you." He said.

"I can't." I whispered.

"Why not?" He asked. He leaned in and he put his forehead to mine.

"Cause I can't. Just know that I will tell you when the time is right." I said. My breathing started to get heavy and my body was aching for him.

"Isabella." He whispered.

"Elijah." I said biting my lip. His lips captured mine in a searing, deep kiss. Something was different this time. He was gentle. It was like making love to him without the love part. Now I sat in his room by the window watching him sleep. I hated keeping things from them but it was for their own good. I got up and walked over to the bed. I slid in beside Elijah and touched his cheek. I felt the tears well up.

"I'm sorry Elijah. I love you and everyone too much to let you get hurt. I can't have you or the others hurt. I'm sorry, my heart, for doing what I have to do but it's needed. You'll understand soon." I whispered softly. I leaned in and kissed him lightly.
