Chapter 14: Rooftop romance: MATURE
The next couple of days felt like heaven. For the first time in a while, there were no attacks, no scares, and no fights. Ladybug and Chat Noir had made headlines with their very public kiss before fighting Volpina but Ladybug didn't mind. He was hers and she was finally okay with showing the world her sensitive side.
She and her partner lay side by side in the grass in the park next to the fountain. Chat held a magazine with a photo of their kiss on the front cover. He dropped the magazine to his chest and chuckled. She turned her head towards him, and her mouth curled up at the ends. His laugh had a way of freezing time for her. When he laughed, it felt like the sun had finally risen after a storm.
"Ladybug's face shown as red as her suit last night as she and Chat Noir shared a fiery hot kiss" he read aloud. "We get it Ladybug; we are just as flustered" he continued
She rolled her eyes. "I was not that red" she blushed as she said this. He rolled towards her and leaned on his side to face her. He reached his hand out and poked her nose.
"Oh sure. And you aren't now either right?" his eyes glistened with happiness
"Oh, you love it don't you?" she laughed
"Love what?" he played dumb "Seeing my lady weak at the knees for me? All over Paris? Psh…not at all" he cocked his head and lowered his eyes at her, making her blush again. Her chest fluttered with butterflies. She pushed his head away from hers with her hand.
"Stop before they take another picture" she whined.
He moved away from her hand and met her eyes again "Stop what? Being so mesmerizing" he raised his eyebrows up and down.
She caught herself blushing again but this time, she realized she had some power in her. She got up onto her knees and lowered her face towards his. She then moved her legs over his so that she straddled him loosely. He leaned back onto his elbows and allowed her to lean until his head almost hit the ground. She then reached out and grabbed his suit by the bell. "On second thought." She started before brushing his nose with hers. He gulped. "Maybe they should take another photo" her eyes lowered making his heart race. His face began to grow hot and she noticed a blush forming. She kissed his cheek lightly and giggled. "Guess I'm not the only one who looks good in red" she let go of his bell and his head dropped back onto the ground. He gazed up at her in a daze.
"My lady. I am so in love with you" he shook his head and placed his hand on his heart dramatically. She giggled getting up from on top of him and onto her feet. "There's my favorite lovesick kitty." She held out her hand for him to take, helping him to his feet. He took her hand and placed a loving kiss on her knuckles.
"Even though I obviously have you at my feet, love, I don't think I'll ever stop purrrrsuing you" he winked. "It's just too fun to see you fall for me over and over again" he joked though there was a lot more truth than she knew behind his little flirtatious remark.
"Well don't stop. It's fun for me too. You wouldn't be my Chat Noir if you weren't a hopeless romantic." She smiled at the warm feeling radiating in her hand from his kiss. She loved the way her body reacted to his affection now. It was as if warmth and fire radiated from every touch and kiss he gave her.
"I don't plan on it. I will forever shower you in ridiculous romantic gestures. Speaking of which, we are long past due for a real date." He took her hand and placed it into the crook of his elbow and began walking with her at his side. She leaned her head into his shoulder.
"Do you have something planned my prince?" she flirted
"oooo, I like being called a prince." He winked. "And yes, I do."
" I've thought of calling you princess as well since you're so pretty, but I decided to settle for prince, due to your gentlemanly ways" she nodded teasingly. "What's this plan of yours?" she rubbed his arm slightly.
"I wouldn't mind being your princess either" he shrugged. "and you'll have to see for yourself. Come to our spot tonight at 6." He stopped walking and faced her.
"You're not leaving, are you?" she peered up at him pouting.
He took her hands gently in his and looked down at her with a soft smile. "I hate leaving you littlebug but I have much to plan. It's already 4:30 and everything needs to be purrfect"
Her heart thumped at the thought of parting, even though she knew she'd see him soon. The idea of him not being in her sight was still sensitive since the other night. She relaxed and decided to let him prepare. "Ok but you better be ready early. I'm showing up on time tonight" she batted her eyelashes
"Oh yeah?" he teased. Her stomach filled with butterflies, and she felt heat rise from her core. "If you're on time tonight, I'll wear a dress to the next patrol" he laughed.
She crossed her arms. "Ok. It's on princess. I'll bring you a custom-made dress when I show up tonight. On time." She retaliated.
He placed his baton across his shoulders and smiled. "deal" he tiled his head, making his blond hair fall in front of his face. "and I really don't mind being called princess, my lady. It means you think I'm pretty" His green eyes glittered at her from beneath his golden locks. He started turning away from her. Pretty was an understatement, she thought.
Later.
Ladybug arrived at their spot at 6:15. She hadn't brought a dress since she already knew she was late. He was already standing there, seeming nervous, when she landed. She wore her hair down since he had mentioned liking it earlier.
His face lit up when he saw her. "You really put the late in late-y bug." He joked. "See what I did there?" he walked towards her and leaned in to kiss her.
"That one was terrible" she laughed against his lips.
"Sorry, I'm just a little nervous." He whispered after their lips parted. He blinked and backed away from her mesmerized. "Your hair! Wow… you are… stunning" he marveled. She blushed at his reaction, and it made him excited for the night. He took one of her hands in his and moved to the side slightly, revealing his setup. "C'mere" he moved slowly but she could tell he was a little urgent. She followed his lead as excitement filled her from head to toe.
She gasped when her eyes focused on what was in front of her. Candles were lit around the edges of the roof and pillows lay on the ground, surrounded by rose petals. A bottle of champaign sat in between the cushions. It reminded her of the beautiful rooftop date he had set for her years before, when he had first confessed his love for her. Memories flooded her mind all of the sudden. She saw the first time they met, the first time he protected her form Dark Cupid, the first time she kissed him, she saw all the times he held her when she was broken and all the times she hurt him. She winced at the memory of his pained expression the last time they stood in candlelight together. This time however, she gazed at him lovingly and soaked in the moment. The candles illuminated his golden hair and placed beautiful flecks of light to accent his suit.
"Chat Noir, this is beautiful" she marveled. "I'm so sorry I didn't stay the last time you did this for me." Her hand tightened on his.
"No need to apologize my lady. You're here now. Enjoy it." He smiled at her and lead her down to sit with him on the cushions. "Champagne?" he cocked his eyebrow at her, lifting the bottle.
"How'd you even get this?" she was surprised.
"I… stole it from my dad" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, though he was telling the truth. It had been in the kitchen of the apartment he was living at from when his dad stayed there.
She lightly slapped his shoulder. "Bad kitty. But yes, I would like some" she giggled.
He carefully popped the cork off the bottle with his claw, a trick he had learned from his father at galas and fashion week celebrations, only without the knife he usually used. He then took the two small glasses and filled them halfway, so that the bubbles wouldn't spill over. He delicately handed her a glass.
"here's to a perfect partnership" he raised his glass
"Ouch" she responded playfully
"I'm only kidding my lady" he chuckled. "Here's to a being in love with the best partner anyone could ever ask for." His voice changed to a serious tone. Her heart fluttered. He continued "Here's to the first date with the girl who fights by my side every day. With her, I found a love that others could only dream of having. Here's to the most important girl in the world. My ladybug, my love, my forever person" he leaned in and whispered in her ear suddenly "my Marinette" he kissed her cheek and leaned away again, keeping his glass raised. "I'd be lost without her. And here's to the start of showing her how much I love her, every day, for the rest of my life." He met her eyes. She gasped. She glided her hand across the roof and set it on his knee.
She interrupted him. "Here's to my forever person." She leaned towards him. "You and me against the world" she sighed.
"Always" he whispered, leaning his forehead against hers. They felt the pull between them radiating throughout their bodies. It made them both giddy and they smiled and enjoyed it for a minute.
"Cheers" she whispered, breaking the silence.
He gave her a half smile and clinked his glass on hers. They both took a sip, not breaking eye contact.
"I love you kitty" she sighed, her forehead dropping against his chest.
"I love you, my lady. I mean it. And I mean every word that I say to you. Unless I'm being a total punk while we're fighting" He rested his chin on her head and chuckled.
"I know when you're being sincere kitty." She giggled. "I can hear it in your voice all the time. It's one of the many things that I love about you" she breathed in his familiar scent.
"Oh yeah? Tell me more about what you love about me" he teased
She leaned away from him smiling. "Well first of all, I adore when you say that"
"When I say what?" he blinked curiously.
"When you say oh yeah?" she did her best impression
"Oh yeah?" he winked
She gave him a small shove.
A few hours went by with them enjoying each other's company and they found themselves kissing under the moonlight. She lay on her back on a cushion, and he found himself leaning above her, with one hand pinning her arm above her head, and the other hand gently holding her waist. He slowly and sensually opened his mouth on hers with deep, passionate kisses. Her chest ached with butterflies and her body burned with every touch he placed on her. His hand brushed softly on her shoulder and made its way down to her waist again, leaving a burning trail wherever it went. Her breathing hitched as she craved more. His kisses, while amazing, were incredibly gentle. It made her increasingly impatient for more. She slid her tongue into his mouth and flicked it against his. This invited him to do the same. She felt her eyes roll back into her head and she almost allowed a sound to escape her mouth, but he suddenly slowed his kissing pace and released her mouth. He peppered innocent kisses on her nose and sighed.
"I want to go on an adventure somewhere" he moved from on top of her and sat down beside her.
She frowned at his absence but shook it off. "Can't we just like go home?" she asked, secretly wanting more than kisses.
He leaned his elbow against the roof and rested his face on his hand, turning towards her. A sly grin appeared on his face.
"I want to take you to one more stop before I take you home to ravish you, my lady. Patience" he teased. She gasped slightly and it concerned him. "I was joking Mari don't worry! We won't do anything you're not comfortable with, I promise" He assured her.
Her real name sent a shock into her system but she swallowed it. "No. I would like that actually. For you to…. Ravish me" she blurted, embarrassed. Her face turned red
"Really?" his eyes widened
She blushed harder. "Yes- I mean- sorry is that weird?" she blinked at him.
His eyes stayed wide but he relaxed. "No. Not at all. I mean I want to very much… more than you could imagine… but I don't want to if you're not ready" he rambled.
"Chat, I want to. Maybe not tonight but… I want to" she lowered her eyes at him. He responded to this and leaned in to kiss her romantically.
"Okay. Just let me know if you want me to. Tonight or whenever. Just make sure to tell me if you do or if you don't. I want to make sure you're okay with anything that we do." He whispered kissing her again. She nodded and they began kissing again. She broke the kiss this time.
"Where else did you want to go tonight?" she spoke quietly. All the sudden, he sat up with a smile.
"I got it!" he exclaimed. "The building I almost knocked over! When I was trying to find Felix! It's totally abandoned, let's go check it out!" he faced her now.
"What? But it could be haunted. You're not one of those like abandoned place explorers right? I've seen some videos before and things can get creepy…" she bit her lip.
His eyes lit up and he chuckled. "You're not scared are you?"
She stood up and pouted. "No. not at all."
He twirled a piece of her hair around his finger "it's ok to be scared bugaboo" he teased.
She swatted his hand away. "hmph. Fine. I'll go. I'll even race you there." She smirked facing the city.
"if that's what gets you to explore with me then sure. I'll even give you a head start" he steadied his baton to begin racing.
"Suit yourself. But we both know I'm not the one who needs it" she winked as she swung herself off the building. She was a little scared but she figured she would be safe as long as they were together.
When she arrived, she assumed she had gotten there first. She had to walk around a corner in the dark to find any sort of entrance. She lifted her head to try and read the faded sign above the door. "Musique" is all she could make out. Maybe it had been a concert hall, she thought. She toyed with the door handle and surprisingly, it creaked open easily. She peered her head inside.
"Chat?" she whispered. The door suddenly flung shut and pushed her inside. She let out a yelp and felt her heart begin to race. Her hands were searching for her yo-yo in the dark when she felt his hands grasp her waist from behind. A familiar tug in her body eased her worries.
"Shh its ok! I got you. Let's look for a light. Come with me" Chat's voice tickled the back of her neck and sent butterflies into her chest.
"Wait where are you going?" she asked as she felt his hand let go of hers. Suddenly, she felt him very close to her again and he placed his hands on her shoulders. Heat radiated from where his hands lay and he moved them down to her hips, making her nerves dance.
"Stay here for a second. I have to go to the corner where the light is." He spoke comfortingly
"okay" she whispered
"Good girl" he slid his hands up her waist and touched below her chin, lifting her into a small peck before she felt his presence leave. His words sparked fireworks in her core. She still felt a little bit riled up from their make out session earlier.
"How did you get here first?" she asked to stop her thoughts from distracting her.
"You and I both know who the faster hero is, princess. You're the best hero, but I'm still the fastest." He joked as a light turned on, revealing a very untouched looking dining area.
"uh huh, sure. We'll get back to that later" she made her way towards him and flicked his bell. He smirked briefly at her before peering his head around at the room. They moved so that they stood next to each other and observed the room around them. Their hands found their way to each other.
It was a small, well decorated place with paintings and sculptures laying around beautiful wooden tables. White tablecloths still lay on some of the tables and the carpet was red. There was a small lounge next to the dining area with a red leather couch shaped like a heart and a silver carpet. The lights were dim and it gave the place a warm glow.
Chat looked over at Ladybug and smiled at how beautiful she was. He loved seeing her softer side. Though her eyes glittered in the dim lighting and her hair fell slightly loose in her pigtails, he wasn't really looking at her beauty in that way. He loved how curious her expression was, and how nervous she seemed. She was rocking back and forth on her heals and biting her lip. She blinked and faced him now, sending a warm spark into his chest.
"It looks so new for a place that's been closed for so long" she said. Her voice was soft and seemed to float in the air around him. He sighed and squeezed her hand.
"Let's look around a little" his eyes softened as he looked down at her. The blush that appeared on her cheeks practically begged him to kiss her. God he loved her. She pulled his arm this time and took him towards the lounge area.
"Look!" she pointed at a wall of different framed pictures and titles. Some were images of people dancing on a stage, and others seemed to be posters with titles or names or places. Le Moulin Rouge, Le Crazy Horse, and one that stood out said Tournee du Chat Noir. "See it says Chat Noir on that poster of the cat" she gasped,
"I think they're all names of different cabarets. I know Moulin Rouge is famous and look at the dancers. Maybe this place was dedicated to it" he giggled. "The black cat is probably a common name for a lot of things" he scratched the back of his neck.
"Well, you're the only Chat Noir to me" she tugged his arm down and planted a kiss on his cheek. "I want to steal that poster for your apartment" she said deviously rubbing her chin.
"Gasp! Ladybug! Being bad?" he held his hand over his mouth jokinly surprised.
"Hey, I'm not some goody two-shoes, for you information" she crossed her arms and smirked
"uh huh" he raised an eyebrow sarcastically.
"Watch me" she said as she reached her hands out and grabbed the poster down from the wall.
"oh yeah? You really gonna take that?" he teased.
His words pulled on her body and brought her thoughts to unholy places. She blinked and kept her composure. "Mhmm. See, I can be bad" she leaned towards him flirtatiously.
He lowered his head so that his face was close to hers. His hair covered his eyes and he smirked. "Care to prove that?" his voice came out low and seductive. It sent shivers down her spine. Just as she opened her mouth, he reached his hands around her waist and pulled her into a slow kiss. She melted into him, and her hands fell slack at her sides, dropping the poster. His hands moved slowly up and down her back and she reached her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. A sound escaped his mouth, and it made her press harder against his mouth. His hands lowered until he grasped beneath her legs and lifted her making her jump in response as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He carried her until he was able to press her against a nearby wall. The pull between them grew desperate. He tilted his head and gave her a painfully gentle kiss. She felt herself weaken at his touch and slid down the wall. He followed her, keeping his grasp on her waist as they fell to the floor.
"I want you" she breathed. Her eyes begged him to touch her.
He chuckled and kissed her nose innocently. "Not here. Not like this"
She pouted underneath him and squirmed. "But it takes so long to get to your place from here."
His ears perked up when he realized what she was suggesting but he decided to keep his cool. "Not when you're with the fastest hero in Paris" he winked standing up and offering her a hand. Her heart was still pounding from the moment before and she felt weak at the knees. She decided to follow him out. The lights began to flicker as they exited the door.
She had clung to his back while he carried them to the apartment, carefully making sure to stay out of people's view. It was late at night, so he had darkness to his advantage, but still, he was always careful. The feeling of his back in between her legs, the closeness of his cheek next to her tucked face, and the breeze, knocking them around, causing her limbs to tighten around him created a combination of sensations that were enough to send her over the edge. The tension between them as they clung close to each other was practically tangible. The minute they climbed in through the window, they broke apart to get inside, feeling the invisible band snapping them towards each other as soon as they were separated. He could see her chest heaving as she walked towards him and reached her arms around his head making them collide once again. It surprised him and he let out a small squeak as she pressed her lips and body against him. She jumped up to straddle him again but his poor balance made him fall back onto the couch. She didn't seem to mind. Her hands were frantically toying with his hair and her kisses became sloppier and more urgent.
"My…lady.. bedroom is better" he managed to speak between kisses. He was enjoying her desperation but wanted to make the moment more intimate. He lifted her, while she stayed kissing his face and his neck, all the way to bedroom. He clumsily dropped her onto the bed and began hovering over her again. They both laughed at how clumsy and eager they were.
He gently reached his hand to her cheek and cupped her face. He turned his head and opened his mouth to capture hers in a passionate kiss. This time, he pressed a little harder and slid his tongue into her mouth and flicked hers a few times. She let out a sound. He flicked his tongue in again. He slowly moved the hand that had cupper her face and trailed it down her neck while keeping his lips locked on hers gently. He delicately brushed her waist and her hip with his hand, burning another trail onto her body. She felt an intense amount of heat erupt in her core. She raised her hips against his body in response and grinded against him. He made a small moaning sound against her mouth and sent her eyes back into her head. He grinned at this and slowly released her mouth to begin sensually kissing her chin and her jaw down to her neck. He sucked lightly below her chin and made her toes curl against the bed. She felt herself melting into him as she lost control over her body. The hand he had holding her down tightened on her hand. He kissed a trail up her neck and met her lips again. He began gently once again but she raised her head a little and gripped her hand behind his neck and pushed his lips into hers harder. She slid her tongue into his mouth and began kissing him urgently. She tangled her hand into his hair and moved her head to the side to kiss him harder. His chest began to heave, and heat grew between them. She felt his hips lower against her core and grind against her into the bed. She let out a clear moan. He broke away from her and looked into her eyes panting.
"tikki, spots off" she called. The small creature looked at the situation and flew to another part of the apartment. Marinette looked into Chats eyes and drew him down to continue kissing.
Without thinking, he began kissing her seductively again. He placed both of his hands on her wrists and moved them above her head, pinning her under him. The tickle of his claws created goosebumps all along her arms. He lowered himself over her and gave her long, seductive kisses. He tilted his head and slid his tongue back into her mouth. She moaned again. His heart raced.
"Wait I can't touch you like this. I….the lights are on. "I'll go shut them off"" he realized she didn't know his identity. He bit his lip moving away but she stopped him.
"No wait. I want to try something. I'll close my eyes kitty. I trust you" she batted her eyes at him dreamily. He felt lost to her gaze and began kissing her again. He slowly moved his knee between her legs and caused them to move apart. He lowered himself between her legs gently and cupped her waist with one hand. He trailed kisses down her neck to her chest and back to her lips. Her body ached and buzzed with heat. She felt his leathered hand trace the hem of her pants.
"Can I?" he asked
"Yes" she breathed
He slowly unbuttoned them and removed them. He then followed removing her undergarments and her shirt. Carefully making sure to ask her permission each time. She found it adorable that he kept asking. He kissed her neck again and sucked at the spot that made her squirm with pleasure.
"Chat" she groaned urgently. "Do it while you're touching me. I want to feel what it's like"
"Close your eyes" he whispered. She obliged. "Claws in" he called his transformation off. She felt a ripple of magic energy brush against her body. She gasped as his claws became soft skin and his armored suit became loose linens. Flimsy clothing were now the only things that kept her from his real body. With her eyes closed, she felt herself growing shy, but he felt like he was being even more gentle now, and it brought her comfort. She felt him shifting to remove his clothes as heat rose between her legs. His body left hers and she frowned. "Condom" he muttered awkwardly. She only snorted in response. She felt him close to her again and the pull of anticipation became agonizing. She felt his bare leg brush against her as he moved his knee to separate her legs again. Butterflies flew through her body from head to toe and she felt heat burning in her center again. He captured her mouth in a soft kiss again and it sent flames into her. She then felt him hover above her at a different angle. She felt him slide in between her legs as she slowly lost control over her body again. She felt consumed by the feeling of his bare torso against hers and then, she felt him enter her. Pressure filled her and intense waves of bliss radiated through her body as he began moving. She bit her lip and let herself melt into him. She felt her soul lift through him. She wasn't sure if the feeling was her losing herself to him or if they were lost in each other.
After some time like this, she felt slightly crushed under the weight of him and it brought her back to reality. He must've picked up on this somehow as he carefully switched her so that he lay underneath her.
"I don't really know how to uhm" she started, nervous to take the lead.
"Don't worry baby, just lay on me, I've got you." He spoke softly as he wrapped his arms around her. She let herself lie down straddling him and he carefully entered her again. She felt herself getting consumed with bliss again and gripped his shoulders. She felt his hands gently gliding against her body and it sent shockwaves down her spine. She felt like she had become a part of him. He felt the experience again too and it created a state of connection that felt unreal to them both. Eventually, they became lost in each other again. It didn't go on for much longer before they both reached their peak.
"That was incredible" she breathed.
"Incredible is putting it lightly" he spoke panting. They laughed and fell against each other.
He wrapped her in the blanket and kissed her from her forehead to her chin. "I love you" he said breathlessly.
"I love you" she responded in the same way. Her eyes remained closed.
"You're gorgeous" he blurted. Her cheeks turned red.
"Thank you" she replied embarrassed. "I wish I could see you" she sighed.
"Soon" he replied kissing her forehead. His kiss lingered on her head even after his lips moved.
"Stupid hawkmoth. Stupid secret identities" she pouted against his chest.
"I agree" he giggled petting her head. "How..how are you feeling?" he asked tenderly
"I feel safe. And I feel like the luckiest girl in the world" she sighed.
Safe. He relaxed. "safe." He repeated. "Did you… feel what happened too? It felt like.." he started
"it felt like we melted into one person" she finished his sentence.
"Yeah. Exactly" he whispered. He began rubbing the back of her neck, his thumbs pressed into areas that felt knotted.
"mmm" she hummed. She shook a little suddenly. He noticed.
"Do you need anything baby?" he asked watching her closely.
She giggled "you love doing that. Calling me baby" she kissed his chest
"I already told you, you're my baby aren't you? He flirted
" yes. I am" she nuzzled him.
"so, do you need anything? You're shaking a little" he grew concerned.
"You. I just need you" she smiled against him. Adrien's heart fluttered. He squeezed her tighter.
"I'm here" he said tenderly. It felt incredible to feel needed by her. She hummed again. He looked down at her.
"Whenever you're here, everything is ok" she sighed. The sound of her words and the brush of her breathe in his arms sent him to heaven. He basked in the moment briefly before he took note of her falling asleep.
"Plagg?" he called for his kwami.
"you humans disgust me. You know what doesn't disgust me though?" He flew over towards them. Adrien raised his eyebrow at the small figure.
"Are you really going to say Cheese?" he questioned sassily
"hey, ancient romans used cheese as a form of currency" Plagg defended himself
"uh huh, sure" Adrien rolled his eyes
"Okay, maybe they didn't, but you're still gross and cheese still is not" he picked up a sock from the ground and floated around in it so to cover his eyes.
"What can I say, I'm in love" Adrien shrugged. "And I need you to shut the lights for me so that she doesn't see me when she wakes up."
"Yeah yeah love shmove" the talking sock bobbed up and down. Adrien laughed and shook his head. The lights turned off.
"Tikki?" Marinette yawned.
"Yep. Still here" a high-pitched voice sounded from afar.
"do you know why…. It…. Felt the way it did? I don't want to be gross but…" she trailed off
"Human romance does not disgust me Mari, I've been around for a longgg time. And it's because your souls are connected. With or without the miraculous, the souls who are chosen to hold the ladybug and cat miraculous are connected. It's almost like you're two halves of the same whole. You can feel it get stronger sometimes when you form a romantic bond." She flew towards the two of them.
"Wait. Really? So that's why we've also been feeling like…. Connected? Even when we're apart?" Adrien asked
"Yes. That would explain that." Tikki nodded at the boy. "And it also strengthens your powers if you let it. Ladybug did it the other day when she used waze to protect you." She continued.
Marinette gasped. "I knew it felt different! I thought something was up.. wow… so our love really is special" she wasn't surprised, but it still felt interesting to know.
"Didn't I always tell you it was meant to be my lady?" Adrien teased. She playfully nudged him.
"Oh sure. Rub it in. Can we talk more about this tomorrow Tikki? I'm feeling exhausted." she felt exhausted but also embarrassed.
"Yes Mari. We'll talk later" she twinkled.
"thank cheese I can finally rest… all this lovey talk us gonna give me nightmares" Plagg whined
Marinette and Adrien giggled as they got comfortable against the pillows.
With the lights out, Marinette opened her eyes. She could just barely make out the shadow of her partner. "Hi" she smiled.
"Hi" he pressed his forehead against hers and sighed. The duo fell asleep almost immediately.
