Season 1: Episode 14

The quiet atmosphere of the cemetery was almost oppressive as it pressed around all four girls as they made their way up to visit Clementine's grave. Reaching the grave marker the four girls, all quiet and trying hard to remain composed. They set up the flowers and rearranged some that were already there, keeping things neat and tidy, getting the dead or dying ones removed. Violet shuddered as she wiped down the grave stone itself, trying to not read the inscription. She still felt something wasn't right and wasn't sure what could explain the poor handling of the investigation and such.

"God, what...I admit, this is the first time I've come here since the funeral." Becca admitted sadly.

Violet grimaced. "I know, I...I'm the same. I'm just...it just feels wrong."

The other girls nodded in understanding as they all stood up straight and stood by the grave, watching over it with an air of solemnity, unable to figure out just what it was about this situation that just didn't feel right to them.

"I...have we got everything set up for the memorial plan we had in mind?" Brody asked.

Sarah nodded. "I am, I've got all the stuff, I helped Violet with what she needed, what about you Brody?"

"Me too...Becca?"

Becca shook her head. "Not yet, Shel's taking me shopping this weekend though, I'll be able to get it then."

The other girls nodded and they stood in silence for a while before finally leaving the cemetery.

Making it back into the main part of town, the girls knew where they were going next. They had reached the Hutchinson house and saw Ed and Diana outside, looking confused.

"Hi." Sarah called out in greeting.

They turned to face them and they gave small smiles as they hurried over to meet the girls by the gate.

"Hello girls, how are you?" Diana asked softly.

"We're...we're okay." Violet said, before admitting. "We just...we were up at the cemetery."

Ed nodded. "Ah yes, I see…"

Brody gave a small nod. "Yeah, we um...we tidied the grave up too."

"Thank you." Diana said gently.

"It's okay." Becca replied softly.

They stayed and talked for a while, as they did the four girls couldn't help but notice something. But they didn't say anything and finally they bid farewell to Ed and Diana who returned into their home, whispering to themselves. Together the girls turned and left the Hutchinson house, thinking about heading to their respective homes. As they did so, Becca mentioned.

"Guys, was it just me or were Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson acting pretty strangely?"

Violet bit her lip. "You too huh, they seem worried about something…"

Sarah nodded. "I saw it too. They also seemed rather...I don't know."

"Let's not look too much into it guys. They're still recovering from what happened."

They all nodded, taking that into consideration.

Before they went their separate ways, they met up with Alvin, Rebecca and AJ who were out walking.

"Oh, hey guys." AJ greeted them with a smile upon seeing them.

"Hi there." Brody greeted AJ.

Alvin and Rebecca grinned and greeted the girls too.

"So, are you girls doing okay?" Rebecca asked at last. "I know this has all been rather hard for you all."

Violet nodded. "Yeah, it's...it's been hard. But we're managing."

"That's good."

"This has all been...so hard, on so many people." Alvin said softly. "Our best chance is to make sure we all support each other."

They nodded, agreeing with Alvin. At that moment however, something happened which startled the girls. As they talked with Alvin and Rebecca, AJ standing nearby listening in, a group of other kids were nearby, passing a ball around. Suddenly the ball went wide and flew towards AJ. Sarah gasped, the others turned and then, with startling quickness, AJ caught the ball. He just smiled and threw it back, the girls stared in shock but quickly covered it.

"Well, we better get going." Brody said at last. "It was nice to meet you."

They nodded and began to walk off.

"Did you see that?" Becca whispered. "How quick he was to catch that."

"His reflexes…" Sarah whispered. "That's only happened…"

Violet swallowed. "We've only ever seen Clem do something like that before."

That left them deeply confused and wondering, their suspicions grew even more as they looked back and saw, of all people, Lily. She was talking to Alvin and Rebecca and then, as they went their own ways, she went to the Hutchinson house, knocked and was let inside.

Making her way back to the apartment, Violet sighed. Her mind full of so much confusion, as well as sorrow.

"Vi."

She started and looked up. "M-Minnie?"

It was Minerva, biting her lip, looking awkward.

"What, what is…?"

Minerva sighed. "I just...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lost my temper. I didn't even give you a chance to explain."

"Minnie, I...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so fixated anyway on those messages." Violet replied quickly.

But Minerva shook her head. "No. It's understandable, after all...Sarah told me about the messages you've all been getting. It's been...crazy for you guys. No wonder you were confused by it...fixated on it."

Violet grimaced, bowing her head.

"Still, I should've listened in the first place." Minerva replied. "I'm so sorry, could you...could you ever forgive me?"

Violet gave a small smile at that and nodded, the two of them kissing softly to seal the deal.

"You sure you're okay, you're pretty pale?" Kyle noted.

Sophie gave a small laugh. "I'm just nervous, I mean...I'm going to meet your mom."

Kyle nodded. "True, I remember being so nervous when you introduced me to your parents. But please, it'll be fine."

"I hope so…" Sophie admitted.

So they entered the house and Kyle called out.

"Mom?"

"Here." She called out from the kitchen.

Kyle nodded to Sophie and they approached as Cindy stepped out from the kitchen and saw them, eyes widening upon noticing Sophie. Cindy was five foot two, a short yet wide woman, with dark brown hair and sharing the same tan skin and olive green eyes as her son.

"Mom, this is Sophie, my new girlfriend who I told you about." Kyle explained.

Cindy nodded and gave a welcoming smile to Sophie, although there was still a little suspicion in her eyes.

"Ah yes, nice to meet you at last." Cindy said warmly.

Sophie returned the smile, understanding the woman's suspicion. "Nice to meet you too ma'am."

Looking back and forth between them Kyle decided to suggest.

"Maybe we can go sit in the living room?" He offered. "Make ourselves more comfortable."

The two females nodded in agreement and they headed through, Kyle nodded reassuringly to Sophie, certain that things looked positive for them.

The following day, the girls had gathered at Brody's house and the other three shared a look.

"So um, why are we all here, Brody?" Becca asked carefully.

Brody explained. "We're waiting for Gabe. He finally got those pictures he wanted to show us."

That caught all of their attention. They shared a glance and now were waiting eagerly for Gabe's arrival. Finally there was a knock at the door and Brody hurried to answer it and upon doing so, she saw the shocked look on Gabe's face.

"Gabe?"

"I was right, you guys need to do see this, are the others…?" He replied.

Brody nodded and guided him in and through to where the others were.

"You guys um...I had to take these pictures for a homework assignment, it's the last two pictures that are especially worrying, Clem was passing as I took them and...well, see for yourselves."

They took the photos and looked through them, finally coming to the ones Gabe had pointed out. Looking at them they saw the photo clearly, Clem was walking along the street. But what caught their eye and clearly had disturbed Gabe was the fact that, clearly behind Clem was a dark coloured car.

"That's the one I saw, when I got the warning at the pool." Violet gasped.

Gabe shook his head. "That's not all, look at the last one."

They did so and froze, eyes wide. There was Clem, the dark car, and also following her, a second car.
