Due to the Destruction of the Infinity of Zeta Halo the UNSC Eternity's construction was pushed up and the surviving members of UNSC HICOM that had not been killed when Cortina's Guardian attacked earth were gathered in the meeting room to talk with the President and captain Thomas Laskey of the Infinity one of the only survivors of humanities flagship as he along with 3,000 sailors escaped on a strident class frigate that was docked with the Infinity, notable survivors was spartan Commander Sarah Palmer, Fire team Majestic, Fire team Osiris who had to drag the critically wounded team leader Locke after he attempted to fight a high ranking officer in the Banished, most of the Bridge crew also survived and the ship Ai Roland was also safely evacuated.
The attendees of the meeting were Fleet Admiral Lord Terrence Hood, Head of ONI, Serin Osman, Fleet admiral Harper, UEG President Jacob Thorn, and amongst a new position in UNSC HICOM Charmian of the Science and R&D department Dr. Catherine Halsey having all criminal charges dropped due to her retrieval of the Janus Key and participating in the destruction of Cortina, and lastly Chairman of Ai control BB the ONI AI that warned HICOM of Cortinia's AI uprising.
As the technicians finish checking the room for any bugs they technicians give a green light and the meeting is set to begin.
Lord Hood: We got the green light for the meeting. Let's start with the creation, BB give me your report.
BB: as the report states all AI's that were part of the created were deleted by Cortina before her enacting the self deletion protocol. The cyberspace is clean.
Lord Hood: Cortina screwed up relations between Ai's and Organics so frickin hard I don't know how to fix this we are so reliant on AI's…
Dr. Halsey: we don't need to worry about that after Cortina's little stunt people are starting to trust our created companions a bit more… but I don't know how impactful this will be in the long run.
Laskey: I think people will trust AI's most of the AI's like Roland and BB stayed loyal to us and fought in cyberspace to protect us and our interests.
Osman: I for once can agree with Laskey although I want someone or a trusted AI to oversee all operational AI for the time being. Laskey, you may be Lord Hood's succor but don't get your hopes high with whatever I just said…
Dr. Halsey: Well let's discuss the elephant in the room we all know of the Reaper threat and if they already control half of the species in this Galaxy's technological growth they will become a liability when the war starts we will need to be trained to operate our ships and weapons as well as slipspace, as far as I am aware these species that rely on this massless matter use something called a Mass relay for travel, We should assume the Reapers can control these Relays as well and it is utmost important we find all Mass Relays in our territories and find a way to shut them down or else the reapers can enter out territories at will.
BB: Halsey we can take care of that. I will have some more AIs diverted to analyzing the Information in the Domain, we have access to the absolute record thanks to your work on Requiem and Cortina giving us the Domain.
President thorn: With all due respect all this talking is taking us nowhere. What we need is More People, more ships, and more technology. We need more of everything we can think of. We as a population are sitting around 32 billion humans of all ages and by 2661 when we expect the Reapers to attack we are only expected to have 60 billion with only 30 to 40% of people capable of fighting and don't get me started with the Sanhilie, they don't even know civilian life and spend most of there time killing each other same goes for the Brutes, the Unggoy, Lekgolo, Mgalekgole, King-Yar are all were enslaved and used for food production and shipbuilding, but they don't know how to govern themselves and half of these species are embroiled in a civil war. That is why I believe we should unify all of these former Covenant species into one galactic government kind of like the Covent and UN merged as one with fair representation for all species, a joint military, and sharing of economic goods and we can make more scientific and technological brake thoughts and It will allow humanity to enforce the Mantle of Responsibility easily.
Dr. Halsey, I agree, We can greatly improve our understanding of Covent Tech. If we make a uniform ship design we can produce ships faster and take advantage of both our and Covent technology and a bigger population.
Osman: I am fine with it as well. Though an intelligence department will be needed.
Lord Hood: I agree as well
Laskey: Agreed as well
BB: This is the most logical conclusion but I agree as well.
President Thorn: I will work with my cabinet and arrange a diplomatic meeting with the leaders of each species.
