Bane saw nothing but the powdery white snow that covered the land for miles in all directions through the window of the van. Bane thought that this sight might have been calming if his circumstances were different, but right now was not the time for such feelings. He was currently in this icy tundra on a mission and couldn't afford to be off guard even if he wasn't in any danger at the moment. He was on his way to a government facility that had recently been shut down. His orders were to arrive, find and deal with any trespassers (although he doubted there would be any out here), and recover information that the government deemed as important such as documents left behind. He was also informed that there would be another team there that the government had previously sent in.
Originally, they were all that was supposed to be needed but shortly after arriving they called in for backup. As Bane gazed out the window he contemplated what could have possibly caused them the need for backup but that thought was soon interrupted by his captain announcing over the radio that they were nearing the facility. As Bane resumed gazing out the window he saw the other vans transporting his fellow soldiers and farther ahead he saw an ugly grey building sticking out like a sore thumb against the pure white snow surrounding it.
As his van finally came to a stop and he and his fellow soldiers dismounted, he couldn't help but stare up at the looming unmarked building that stood before him. As he stared up at the building his longtime friend Sam walked over to him and said while slapping him on the shoulder, "Damn, that is one ugly motherfucker 'innit?" Bane gave a small chuckle at his companion's choice of words and agreed. After this short interaction their captain called all of the soldiers forth for one last short briefing on their mission. Then the group entered the building with their captain leading the way. Little did they know what horrors lay ahead of them on their soon to be death filled journey.
