Although despite making not the greatest of first impressions, the group returned to the Adventurer Guild, Shooting Starlight, and got Shiki registered with a license.
"There. All set." Jet said as they sat at a diner.
"Granbell?" Shiki asked, looking at his name.
"Since you don't have any legal documents, we thought using the name of the planet you lived on would work as a family name. So today, you're Shiki Granbell." Mayumi said.
"It's a good name." Elisabeth said.
"Yeah…but…what the heck are these things?" Hiyoko asked seeing the white creatures with carrot noses.
"Nikora…a pretty common species in any stretch of the cosmos." Jet said. "Although…" he said looking to Happy-2.
"Sorry. Not good with dogs." Happy-2 said.
"As a cat, that's more of a natural instinct." Zacian said.
"It's understandable." Papelne said. "Still…those guys at the guild…"
"Ignore them. Guys like them usually just join for work anyway." Jet said.
"Though that girl sure was full of herself." Al said.
"Labilia has better videos than Rebecca. Messing with her is not worth the trouble." Sunset said.
"How do…you're a subscriber aren't you?" Catra said.
"Yes, I am." Sunset said.
"Wow, way to make Rebecca feel bad." Al said before Rebecca kicked her.
"I don't really mind." Rebecca said. "As much as I hate to admit it, her videos are better than ours."
"Sometimes popularity has a way." David said.
"At least you don't let popularity get to your head." Mayumi said with a sweatdrop.
"It always tends to go to some people's heads, but not yours Monsieur Ishihara." Ash said, twirling his bang.
"Thanks. People have different opinions on different things, and I just learned to respect that." David said.
"Well, I know a way to raise Rebecca's. We'll…go find Mother." Shiki said.
The group just stared for a bit.
"You're sure? That hologram was made ages ago. No one even knows if she truly exists or not." Jet said.
"All the more reason to see for ourselves, right?" Shiki asked.
"Surprisingly, I think I know where he's going with that mindset." David said.
"Yeah, if this book has an entry on her, then there is a possibility." Simon said.
"Sure…but…my ship would never reach outside." Rebecca said.
"And ours got destroyed on the way into this cosmos." Stoj said.
"Then we're just gonna have to find some." Mayumi said. "I doubt there's a dealership here, is there?"
"No. No choice. We'll have to go to Norma and see the professor." Rebecca said.
"Professor?" Noel asked.
"He's the guy who saved my life." Happy-2 mentioned.
"Yeah…professor Weisz Steiner." Rebecca said.
Entrapta and some of the smarter members nearly fainted upon hearing that.
"No way! That Weisz Steiner?!" Twilight said.
"You've heard of him?" Jexi asked.
"He's only like one of the biggest robotics geniuses in the existence of the Future Universe!" Twilight said.
"He's made plenty of remarkable creations over the years! He even proved the Brai Theory! But he rarely published his findings. And he's their benefactor?!" Entrapta said.
"I'm so jealous." Mari said.
"I.. had no idea you guys were such big fans of him." Rebecca said. "But anyway, Professor Weisz is sure to help us."
"Do you think he'll be my friend?" Shiki asked.
"Yeah, he's super nice!" Happy-2 replied.
"Then it's decided. Let's go see him and get ourselves a new ship that'll break through the Dragon Barrier." Hope said.
"So guess we're taking a side trip to Norma." Dan said.
The Galaxy King soon made their way to their destination as they arrived at a planet that looked similar to Saturn.
"So that's the planet Norma?" Shiki asked.
"Yeah. I'll signal for permission to…" Jet said. "Huh…strange. No one's replying back."
"There's something really off here." Shantae said.
"Guess we'll just have to land without advance notice." Bow said. "We'll figure out what's going on once we get to the city."
The Galaxy King soon landed, and instead of a town they found a sort of badlands. Giant pillars of earth were falling from the sky and were absorbed into the ground as they landed.
"Whoa. Freaky weather this planet's got." Kaibara said.
"Yeah…those are earth ether crystals." Rebecca said.
"Ah…so that was it. If people live here, they likely do underground. Guess that explains why the signal didn't go through if this weather was happening. Too much ether messes with some signals." Jet said.
"Right! So if we can create a huge drill-" Peridot-2 started.
"Actually, there's elevators down." Rebecca pointed to a bunker where the machines were stationed.
They took the elevator as they soon came to see a large town along with some bird like creatures with rabbit ears.
"Wow! We're underground and so are the people. Maybe they'll be my friends." Shiki said.
"Don't rush it, buddy." Zephyr said. "First, let's go see this Weisz guy."
"Hmm?" Y'shtola said as her ears twitched.
"What's up, Y'shtola?" Frosta asked.
"Nothing, the Aether felt strange for a moment but it vanished." Y'shtola said.
"Sure it's not cause you're seeing close relatives?" Kazuichi joked as he pointed to the rabbit birds.
"I cannot see, mind you." Y'shtola said.
"Huh? Oh, uh…sorry. I didn't know you were…" Kazuichi said.
"It is fine. It happened when I was brought back from the lifestream." Y'shtola said. "Although I have no sight, it does not bother me in the slightest. That's why I use my own aether to see. But please, think on what you should say to avoid aggravating people, young Machinist."
"Sorry, ma'am." Kazuichi said.
The group soon came to a repair shed a little ways away from the town. From how Rebecca directed them, it could only have been Weisz's home. Entering it, they found it empty.
"Huh. Guess he's not home right now." Hyde said.
"Whoa cool." Shiki said finding some goggles. As he put them on, he found himself being able to see Happy's endoskeleton and through Rebecca's clothing.
"Hey, put that back. You have no idea if its dangerous." Rebecca said.
They suddenly heard the click of a revolver.
"Don't move." A new voice said. They turned to see a young blond haired man standing there. "What do you think you're doing robbing my house?"
"Uh…I think you have a screw loose." Mari said.
"Yeah. This is the home of Weisz Steiner. And Rebecca and Happy-2 are his friends." Twilight said.
"What the hell are you talking about? I'M Weisz Steiner and I've never met any of you in my life." he said.
"I'm sorry, what?!" Glimmer asked.
