*TRIGGER WARNING* This story features discussions of sexual assault. While mild I felt it important to make mention
Robin was the only one who knew where Jo had been hiding out. She had driven to see her in Minnesota. Robin promised not to tell Ellen where Jo was, but also promised Ellen, she would let her know Jo was okay. She was sort of a go between, a role she was all too familiar with. Robin had been hanging out at Jo's apartment. She spent the day installing weaponry concealment for her and cleaning up some old guns she'd let sit for too long. She looked at the time, cleaned up and headed down to the bar to meet up with Jo.
Jo had left Robin and extra set of keys for the back door of the bar, but when Robin went in, she heard a man's voice, one she knew, Sam's.
"My Daddy shot your Daddy in the head" Sam's voice, sung.
Not Sam
Robin spotted a shot gun mounted to the wall. She popped it open to look for shells when Dean rushed in.
"Sam" he shouted!
Sam grabbed a knife and placed it to Jo's throat.
"I begged you to stop me, Dean" Sam shouted.
"Put the knife down, dammit" Dean ordered.
"I told you I can't fight it" Sam shouted again, "My head feels like it's on fire, all right?! Dean. Kill me, or I'm going to kill her. Please. You'd be doing me a favor! Shoot me!
Robin was slowly and silently edging out of the back room.
Dean couldn't do it. He lowered his gun and turned away.
"What the hell's wrong with you, Dean" Sam demanded "Are you that scared of being alone that you'd rather let Jo die"?
"Hiya Sammy" Robin said as she cocked the gun behind him. He lowered the knife from Jo's neck and swung at Robin with it. Robin flipped the shot gun and nailed him in the face with the butt of the gun, knocking him on his back.
Robin sat on his chest to pin him and started to punch him in the face over and over, "not my best friend you sack of shit" she snarled as she continued to punch.
"Now this bitch has got some fight" Sam laughed as he knocked her back. "Maybe I'll have some fun with you instead".
She was on her back, Sam lurched over her and kicked her in the side, then in the face. She rolled in pain but got to a seated position and kicked him square in the nuts. He fell to the floor, and she kicked him reciprocating the previous moves. He swept her legs and knocked her back down. He got on top of her. She grabbed his arms and dug her nails in breaking skin she could feel his blood flowing. Down her fingers. He broke out of her grip and laid his arm across her throat. She started to choke when Dean grabbed him off of her.
"Well, I hope you got your kicks" Dean snarled, "because you're gonna pay for this".
"How" Sam replied? "See, I think you're gonna die, Dean. You and every other hunter I can find. One look at Sam's dewy, sensitive eyes? They'll let me right in their door".
Sam jumped out the window. Dean followed close behind.
Robin turned to Jo, "Are you ok"?
"I'm fine" Jo replied, "he was going to..." she trailed off and looked at Robin, "look at you".
"It's not the first time" Robin replied.
They heard a gunshot. Both girls ran outside in time to see Dean fall in the water and Sam walk away. Both girls rushed to the water, Jo had a flashlight.
"Robin" Jo muttered, "he said he was going after the hunters".
"Yeah" Robin said looking frantically at the water for Dean.
"So, who is the closest hunter you know to here"?
Robin stopped in her tracks, "Dad"!
Suddenly they heard coughing. They ran to the nearby boat ramp where Dean was laying.
"You got him" Robin asked Jo?
"Go" she nodded.
Robin ran. She found a nearby parking lot and hotwired the first unlocked car she could find.
When she pulled in the salvage yard, she jumped out so quick she wasn't even sure that she'd put the car in park, but she didn't care. She ran in the house to see her dad standing over Sam's unconscious body.
"Good" he nodded, "you can move the body".
She let out a sigh and hugged him, "you're ok".
"Of course, I'm ok" he hugged her back, and then held her at arm's length, "you not so much".
"I went a couple rounds with this one" she motioned to Sam, "leveese" she murmured lifting Sam's body, "Devil's trap I assume".
"You assume right" Bobby nodded. They tied Sam up in a chair leaving him in the devil's trap. Just as they finished Dean pulled in.
"Is Jo with you", Robin asked?
"No" Dean scoffed, "She's not equipped for this".
"You know I'm younger than her" Robin noted, "and you give me a lot more credit".
"Well, she got tied up by this guy" Dean nodded, "I watched you beat the shit out of him, so".
Dean slapped Sam in the face, "hey".
Sam started to wake up.
"Cool" Robin nodded, "I wasn't quite done". She punched Sam in the face, "first you were going to rape my best friend".
"And slice up" Sam replied, "don't forget, I was going to slice her up too".
Robin punched him again, "then you shot Dean". Then she punched him again, "then you came for my dad".
"Somewhere in there I was going to rape you too" Sam explained.
Fueled by hot rage at the last comment, Bobby grabbed him and started to punch him too.
Dean grabbed both of them by the shoulder and pulled them back. "You ready to talk yet" he asked?
"Sam is my meat puppet" the demon replied, "I'll make him bite off his tongue".
"You won't be in him long enough, Singers".
Bobby started his exorcism. The demon twinged in pain, but then started to laugh, " oops not working. See I learned a thing or two".
The demon started to growl in Latin and flames erupted behind him and the room started to shake.
"Bobby" Dean cried out, "what's happening"?
Robin looked around and spotted a brand on Sam's arm. "Shit" she cried, "is that a binding link"?
"A what" Dean asked?
"It's like a lock" Bobby explained, "the demon is locked in there".
"What do we do" Dean shouted?
"I don't know" Bobby shouted back.
"Tourtua Fugam-" Robin started.
"No" snapped Bobby.
The demon hadn't stopped and suddenly the devil's trap cracked. The demon nodded his head to the left, throwing Bobby against the wall. Then to the right throwing Robin. He focused in on Dean pulling him to him.
The demon broke out of the restraints and fisted the gunshot wound on Dean's shoulder. "You know when people want to describe the worst possible thing? They say it's like hell" the demon explained. He punched Dean in the face, "You know there's a reason for that. Hell is like, um ..." he hit Dean again. "Well, it's like hell. Even for demons." He hit him again. Dean was getting groggy and bleeding, a lot." It's a prison, made of bone and flesh and blood and fear". He hit him again but held his head steady "And you sent me back there".
"Meg" Dean snarled.
"No. Not anymore. Now I'm Sam" she said jabbing her thumb right in the gunshot. "By the way. I saw your dad there - he says "howdy"". She dug in deeper. "All that I had to hold onto, was that I would climb out one day, and that I was going to torture you. Nice and slow. Like pulling the wings off an insect. But whatever I do to you, it's nothing compared to what you do to yourself, is it? I can see it in your eyes, Dean. You're worthless. You couldn't save your dad, and deep down ... you know that you can't save your brother. They'd have been better off without you".
Robin came out of nowhere with a hot poker and took it right to the link brand destroying it. "Shut your bitch mouth" she sneered.
Sam's head shot back, and black smoke came billowing out.
That evening Sam, Dean and Robin sat around the table with icepacks on their injuries.
"You boys ever hear of a hunter named Steve Wandell", Bobby finally broke the silence. "Just heard from a friend. Wandell's dead. Murdered in his own house. You wouldn't know anything about that"?
"Jesus" Robin whispered.
"No sir, never heard of the guy" Dean replied.
"Dean -" Sam objected
"Good" Bobby quickly said "Keep it that way. Wandell's buddies are looking for someone or something to string up, and they're not going to slow down to listen to reason. You understand what I'm saying"?
"We better hit the road. If, uh, you can remember where we parked the car" the boys got up and headed for the door".
"Here. Take these" Bobby said, handing them both a charm. "They'll fend off possession. That demon's still out there. This'll stop it from getting back up in ya".
"That sounds so dirty" Dean laughed.
"Have you looked in the mirror" Robin asked, "tonight got dirty hours ago".
Dean chuckled and the boys headed to the door. Robin followed after. "Dean" she called him aside, "I know demons like to play off our vulnerabilities, so I wanted you to know the shit it said-".
"Nah, I know" he laughed, "I'm a hero right"?
"Right" Robin replied stone-faced.
Dean looked at her a second, realizing how important it was to her, that he know he's valued. "Gee Singer" he smiled, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're turning sweet on me".
Robin scoffed, "good thing you know better. And call Jo" she added before walking out of his sight.
When she got back in the kitchen she was greeted by her father and a fresh beer. "So that thing used Sam to kill-".
"Yup".
"God dammit".
"That was a nice thing you said there" Bobby changed the subject, "you sure your little crush isn't coming back"?
"Positive" Robin replied defensively.
"Ok" Bobby nodded, not convinced.
"Besides, he has a thing with Jo" Robin added.
"No, he doesn't" Bobby argued, "Jo has a thing for him".
"Which means hands off" Robin replied, "besides, I am a hunter, I don't have time for that shit".
"Well, that's a load of crap" Bobby snapped, "You know that I have been in love twice".
"Look how that worked out for you Dad" Robin snapped back.
"One led me to be a hunter" Bobby snapped at her, "which led me to your mother and got me you. And I would go through all of it again if I was given the chance. If I got you at the end, I would do it all again".
Robin drank her beer. There was no arguing with him now.
"Now heal yourself would ya" he said in a calmer tone, " I hate to see you this way".
"Sanatio, curatio, medela".
Bobby got up from the table and started for the stairs.
"Dad" Robin called. Bobby popped his head back into sight, "You know Dean, you know his reputation. And you're trying to pawn off your daughter on that"?
Bobby laughed.
"That's messed up Dad" she said finishing her beer.
