Torzan, Kew

Wolf slowly opened his eye, squinting at a sliver of sunlight coming in through the blackout curtains over the bedroom window. Glad to have slept peacefully for a change, the lupine got out of bed and stretched.

After showering and getting dressed, the lupine headed downstairs. Seeing that nobody was in the kitchen, Wolf switched on the coffee machine and opened the fridge.

Looking around for a bit, the lupine eventually took out some back bacon, sausages, and eggs. As he set about cooking breakfast, the sound of a shower running reached Wolf's ears and he glanced in the direction of the ground floor bedroom that Carmen used.

"She must have her own shower."

Wolf shrugged and returned to cooking. A short time later, he heard the door to Carmen's room open.

"You didn't have to do this." he heard the dingo remark.

Wolf glanced over his shoulder at her and replied "Well, I figured, what the hell?"

Seeing that the coffee had finished brewing, Wolf grabbed a pair of mugs.

"How do you take yours?" he asked as he poured them both a cup.

"I told you yesterday, bitter and murky."

After the two canines shared a chuckle, Carmen remarked "Black's fine."

Wolf set a mug in front of the dingo and then returned to cooking. After several minutes, Panther and Leon came downstairs and the four of them sat down to breakfast.

When they finished, they discussed their next move. It seemed that during their infiltration of Vekman's factory, Carmen had learned that a shipment of mining equipment was due to leave for the docks from his head office.

"Alright, let's go over this again." the dingo said.

"Wolf, you and I are infiltrating the head office and finding out where that equipment is being sent to. Leon and Panther, you guys are grabbing your fighters from the spaceport."

She looked around the group.

"Guys, I cannot stress this enough. I think it's a safe bet that Koates has people watching the spaceport. Not to mention Star Fox. I don't think I need to repeat that they are to be avoided at all costs."

"Noted." Panther remarked while Leon simply nodded.

Seeing that Wolf's fur was bristling, Carmen asked "Wolf, are we clear on that?"

The lupine met her gaze.

"Yes, ma'am."

With that, Carmen stood up and pulled on her jacket.

"Alright guys, let's move."

Kewian Orbit

Within the bridge of the Great Fox II, the members of Star Fox were gathered around a holotable that was displaying a map of Torzan.

"From what Intelligence has been able to gather, Star Wolf's activities on Kew have been centred around this city." Fox explained.

The vulpine looked around at his team, trying to decide how they should go about their mission. He knew that they would need people both in the air and on the ground. The only question was, how to split them up.

After making up his mind, Fox began issuing orders.

"Falco, Slippy, Amanda. You guys are on aerial patrol."

"Perfect, I prefer the sky anyways." Falco remarked.

"We won't let you down, Fox." Slippy added.

Amanda smiled and said "You can count on us."

Turning to the others, Fox continued "Fay, Miyu, Krystal, Fara. I want you guys on the ground in teams of two."

He was not the least bit surprised when Fay and Miyu moved closer together. The two had been thick as thieves back in the Flight Academy.

Upon seeing Fara and Krystal smile at each other, the vulpine mused "The missus and the ex."

"Very funny, Fox." Krystal replied mentally.

Fox gave his girlfriend a sly grin and then turned to Peppy and ROB.

"I'm sure this goes without saying, but I need you two to provide overwatch from orbit and monitor all planetary communications. If Wolf and his crew aren't in the city, we'll need to get a pinpoint on their location."

"Will do, Fox."

"Affirmative, Fox."

The leporine cleared his throat and glanced around at the girls who were on recon duty.

"Something I want to add on here. Kew is a very dangerous place, especially if you're a woman. Please exercise extreme caution while you're down there."

In response, Miyu crossed her arms and smirked.

"Don't worry, old timer. If any punk decides to mess with us, we'll make them sorry."

"All the same, please be careful."

Fox looked about the group once more.

"Any questions?"

When none came, the vulpine checked the clock on his wristcom.

"Alright team, let's roll."

Torzan

Even though he was in a less seedy part of the city, Fox still kept a hand near his blaster and his head on a swivel. He had heard more than a few stories about how rough and tumble Kew was.

But even as he walked towards the head office of Vekman Industries, the orange vulpine was unaware that he was being watched.

Within an empty office building, the German Shepherd known as Richard Varner watched the leader of Star Fox through a pair of binoculars.

Though the canine knew for a fact that the Cerinian telepath wasn't anywhere near this district, he still acted like she was, and to that end, kept his mission directives behind a wall of seemingly random thoughts.

Not to mention the fact that he would have really liked a sniper rifle at that moment.

"I could avenge the Emperor's death, right here, right now."

With a mental shrug, Varner pushed that thought out of his mind and returned to the task at hand.

Fox meanwhile, entered the lobby and walked up to the front desk.

"I have an appointment with Mr. Vekman."

The feline secretary typed away on her computer and then met Fox's gaze again.

"Wait just a moment, sir. Mr. Tolstan will be with you shortly."

Fox didn't have to wait long, for he soon saw the same grizzly that he had spoken to last night and a pair of security guards headed in his direction.

"Welcome, Mr. McCloud." the ursine greeted.

He then held out his hand.

"Before we proceed, I'm gonna need your blaster."

Fox raised an eyebrow.

"I'm required to keep my weapon with me at all times while on mission." he replied.

Tolstan shook his head.

"If you want to see Mr. Vekman, this is the price of admission."

Realizing that arguing wasn't going to get him anywhere, the vulpine took out his blaster, removed the power pack, and handed it to Tolstan.

"Very good. Right this way."

The four of them boarded an elevator. During the ride up, Fox thought about the situation.

"Something doesn't feel right about all this."

Hearing the elevator ding brought the vulpine out of his thoughts. The four of them walked up a hallway and stopped in front of an office door. Fox could hear an annoyed voice from within.

"Jared, for the last time, we'll make back the eleven million we lost in the bombings in no time. Now will you please stop bothering me about this?"

There was the sound of a communicator being switched off, after which, Tolstan knocked on the door.

"Yes?"

"McCloud's here to see you, sir."

There was a pause.

"Alright, bring him in."

Tolstan opened the door and showed Fox into the spacious office. The vulpine locked eyes with the grey-furred jackrabbit behind the desk.

"Please, take a seat." Vekman said and gestured to the seat in front of his desk.

Sitting down, Fox replied "Thank you for taking some time to see me. I'm sure that you're a very busy man."

The leporine shrugged.

"It's no trouble at all. I want this matter resolved just as much as you do."

"Right."

Fox took a moment to sit up straighter.

"Do you have any idea who might have hired Star Wolf to carry out those bombings?"

At that, Vekman spread his hands and shook his head.

"It could be one of my competitors, it could be a crime boss or a politician looking to extort me. Honestly, McCloud, I would have an easier time naming the people who wouldn't have hired them."

"He's trying to give me the runaround." the vulpine thought.

Having looked into Vekman prior to the meeting, Fox knew for a fact that the jackrabbit had done business with Andross.

"Perhaps the Venomian Remnant?"

A look passed over Vekman's face. While it was all too brief, Fox still picked up on it.

"Ah, touched a nerve, did I?"

The jackrabbit shrugged his shoulders.

"Possibly." was all he said.

Keeping his suspicions from showing on his face, Fox stated "I'm sure we'll find out who's behind this sooner or later. In any case, I've been informed that an unidentified individual is working with Star Wolf."

Vekman seemed to light up.

"I think I can help you with that."

He opened a drawer on his desk, took out a data pad, and put it on the desk. Pressing a button on the side projected an image of two canines.

"That was taken at my factory before they blew it up."

Fox nodded as he studied the image. He recognized Wolf right off the hop. The lupine was laying on the ground, with what appeared to be blood in his shoulder area.

Upon a look at the other figure, a dingo, Fox's eyes widened and his mouth fell open.

"Carmen? I thought she was dead."

As he studied the image more, Fox couldn't help but notice a burn scar on the dingo's tail.

"What the hell's going on here?"

"Everything alright?"

Brought out of his thoughts, Fox replied "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that the girl reminds me of someone I used to know."

Elsewhere

Wolf and Carmen slinked along a wall in the loading bay of Vekman Industries' head office. Peering around a corner, the lupine spotted the shipping office. After scanning with thermal vision, he turned to the dingo.

"We're clear. Let's move."

The two wild dogs ran towards the office, using crates and vehicles for cover. Slowly opening the door, Wolf cleared the room with his blaster and then beckoned Carmen inside.

The dingo went up to a computer terminal, put a device on the console, and began typing. After a brief time, she said "Got it. They're shipping the equipment to Zalbar Island."

"Good thing we're grabbing our ships." Wolf replied.

The sound of the office door opening grabbed their attention. As the lemur security guard entered the office, Wolf quickly kicked him in the gut, put him in a headlock, and snapped his neck.

A few tense seconds passed, and just when both canines thought they were safe, klaxons began blaring.

"Fuck." Wolf growled as he snatched up the guard's carbine.

Elsewhere

Fox had just given Vekman his contact information and received a copy of the image on his wristcom when the alarms went off.

The vulpine whirled around upon hearing the office door swing open, hand instinctively going to his empty holster. Seeing that it was only Tolstan, Fox relaxed himself a little.

"What's going on?" Vekman inquired.

"O'Donnell and the girl have broken into the loading bay."

Fox suddenly felt very on edge.

"Wolf? Here?"

Vekman brought the vulpine back to reality.

"Perhaps you can solve this problem here and now, McCloud. Tolstan, give him back his weapon."

The grizzly handed Fox's blaster back to him. The vulpine quickly reloaded and set his weapon to stun.

"I'll get to the bottom of this, I promise."

Fox quickly left the office and boarded the elevator. All the way down, his mind turned.

"How the hell is Carmen still alive? And why is she mixed up with Star Wolf?"

One thing above all else dominated the Star Fox leader's thoughts.

"Vekman is definitely hiding something."

Fox readied his blaster as the elevator dinged and the doors slid open. The sounds of gunfire soon reached his ears and he headed towards it.

The vulpine pressed himself against a stack of crates. Hearing a couple of sets of footsteps heading towards him, Fox burst out of cover.

And locked eyes with his rival for the first time in over a year.

For a moment, the two were awestruck. But that soon came to an end when Wolf raised his carbine and fired, forcing Fox back into cover.

"You're dead, you little son of a bitch!" he heard the lupine scream.

"Wolf! Not now!" came a feminine voice, one Fox didn't think he would ever hear again.

"It's Carmen alright."

Hearing the two canine's footfalls heading away, Fox cautiously left cover and gave chase.

Outside, Richard Varner watched two canine figures, one of whom he was all too familiar with, run out of the head office. They were followed shortly thereafter by the leader of Star Fox.

Now he really wanted a sniper rifle.

Elsewhere

Krystal and Fara were in the downtown portion of Torzan, pursuing a lead on Star Wolf. Thanks to the cobalt vixen's telepathy, they didn't have to ask around.

"Not that we would get any honest answers." the fennec mused.

"I'll second that." Krystal mentally replied.

The two vixens smiled at each other and kept walking down the street. They soon came upon a small corner lot with an apartment on the top floor. As Krystal had been able to sense from the locals, Star Wolf had been seen coming and going from here the entire time they'd been on Kew.

Already, they could see that something was amiss, for the door had been kicked in. Fara quickly drew her blaster and Krystal extended her staff.

"Is there anyone up there?" the fennec whispered.

Krystal scanned with her telepathy and only detected one presence. A presence who's life was slowly slipping away.

"There's someone hurt up there."

Both foxes quickly entered the building and ascended the stairs, weapons at the ready. The sight of the hallway put them on alert. The doors had been flung open and the rooms ransacked.

"The second level." Krystal said mentally.

The vixens went up, finding the second level in the same amount of disarray. Not to mention the Siamese Cat tied to a chair in a corner of the living room.

Krystal let out a gasp, for she was reminded of that fateful day over two years ago when her parents had been killed.

Quickly focusing back on the mission, the cobalt vixen went up to the feline.

"He needs help." Fara said.

"There's none that we can give." Krystal said in a resigned tone.

"But we can at least find out who did this." she added as she put a hand on the feline's temple.

Sorting through a dying person's thoughts was no easy task, since they often couldn't keep them straight. A fact that Krystal was all too familiar with.

Even so, the cobalt vixen was able to pick up on what had happened several minutes ago.

The landlord's head reeled back as he was punched in the face.

"You had better talk, little man." a female coywolf growled in a throaty accent.

Someone set a hand on her shoulder.

"Rena, darling. Allow me."

The coywolf stepped aside, revealing a hyena who was all too familiar to Krystal.

"I'm going to ask you this one more time. Where is Star Wolf?"

"I… I. Don't know. I don't ask questions."

The hyena shook his head.

"That's unfortunate, for you."

He grabbed a taser off his belt and activated it. The memory ended as the hyena shocked the Siamese and his screams filled Krystal's ears.

Krystal was brought back to reality and saw that the feline landlord was now dead. The vixen's muzzle curled back into a snarl.

"Valen." she growled.

"Who?"

Krystal turned to Fara and opened her mouth to explain, but was interrupted by her wristcom beeping.

"Guys, it's Fox. I've got a situation."

"I read you, Fox." Krystal responded.

"I'm in pursuit of Wolf. Fara, you're not gonna believe this, but the person working with them is Carmen."

"Carmen?" the fennec exclaimed with widened eyes.

Krystal quickly scanned Fara's thoughts and discovered that Carmen was a dingo that both her and Fox had known when they were younger. One who they had presumed had been killed in a gas explosion three years ago, along with her husband and son.

"Evidently not." the cobalt vixen remarked.

"Huh?" Fara said with a puzzled expression.

"Oh yes, right." the fennec muttered as she holstered her blaster and brought up a holographic map on her wristcom. A yellow dot showed Fox's position in the city while a mauve dot and a dark blue dot showed her and Krystal's position.

"There's an alley close by. If we take it, we can get to Fox quicker."

Krystal nodded in response.

"Let's go."

The two foxes left the apartment, Fara in the lead, and began running up the street towards the alley. As they got closer, Krystal sensed several presences. Presences with malicious intentions.

"Fara, wait!"

But as they turned the corner, the two Star Fox members came face to face with a group of thuggish looking men. Two more appeared at the entrance, blocking the women in.

Krystal and Fara went back to back, the former readying her staff and the latter raising her blaster.

"Out of the way, boys. We're here on business." the fennec snarled.

The gang leader, a muscular bull mastiff, simply scoffed.

"Now come on, ladies, there's no reason you can't mix in a little pleasure."

Krystal didn't need telepathy to know what that meant. She also knew that the thugs were all drunk and hopped up on all manner of hard drugs. There would be no reasoning with them.

"Last chance." she growled warningly.

All that did was draw a laugh from the thugs.

"I call first on the blue girl."

"I call first on the fennec."

"I call seconds on both."

Krystal didn't give them that chance, shooting a fireball from the jewelled end of her staff at one of the thugs she was facing just as he was reaching for his blaster. He went down in a spray of blood.

The cobalt vixen then closed the distance with the other punk and delivered a series of strikes before impaling him on the sharp end and kicking him off.

Fara meanwhile, gunned down two of the thugs in front of her, but the leader charged her. Her shot only grazed his arm, and the mastiff got close enough to bat the fennec's blaster away, grab her by the throat, and pin her against the alley wall.

Krystal turned around and aimed her staff in the gang leader's direction.

"Let her go."

The canine responded by pressing his blaster into Fara's chest.

"Make me."

Krystal narrowed her eyes.

"Wish granted."

To Fara's surprise, the mastiff released his grip on her and took a few steps back. Even more shocking was the fact that the canine aimed his blaster at his chest and pulled the trigger, spraying the wall behind him with blood and gore.

The fennec only stared in shock as Krystal walked past the corpse and picked up Fara's fallen blaster.

"Okay, what in the actual fuck?" Fara remarked as she took her weapon back.

"Well, along with being able to read people's minds, my gift also allows me to manipulate their thoughts. In this case, I made that man want to kill himself." Krystal explained.

Somewhat stunned, Fara replied "Remind me never to get on your bad side."

As the two vixens continued running down the alley, a pair of eyes watched from afar. The Tasmanian Devil known as Collins lowered his binoculars and raised an eyebrow.

"Damn, that telepath's good."

Torzan Spaceport

Panther and Leon gazed at the city spaceport from the cover of an alley. Turning to his teammate, the wildcat asked "So, how do you wanna go in?"

The chameleon crossed his arms and replied "You're going in the main entrance and drawing out anyone who might be watching for us. I'm gonna sneak in through a side door."

Panther shook his head.

""What if there isn't anyone watching the port?"

Leon let out a huff.

"As much as I hate to agree with the dingo, it's almost certain that Koates has people in there."

The jungle cat nodded in agreement.

"Okay, I draw them out, and then what?"

"You get them out of the port, give them the slip, and then get up on a rooftop and give me a shout for a pickup. It couldn't be simpler."

Panther rolled his yellow eyes.

"Nothing about this situation is simple, Leon."

The reptile responded by activating his camouflage generator.

"Just stick to the plan and everything will be fine."

Elsewhere

Within the star port's food court, Algy and Bandera kept an eye out for the Star Wolf team. The former puffed on a cigarette while the latter drank coffee from a styrofoam cup.

"So." the simian ventured while continuing to look through the crowds. "You and Mouradian are pretty close, am I right?"

Algy blew out a cloud of smoke and replied "Yeah, I've known Rena since we were both kids on Macbeth."

"Hmh." Bandera mused "If you don't mind me asking, did you two ever, well did you….."

"Did we fuck?" Algy finished.

The primate took a long drag.

"Once. Admittedly, the only reason that happened is cause we were both piss drunk."

Algy was about to go on when he caught sight of a jungle cat in a blue flight suit and silver body armour. He quickly nudged Bandera.

"You see that?"

"Yeah." replied the simian.

Algy flicked away the remains of his cigarette and Bandera downed the rest of his coffee and threw away the cup. As the two of them began moving through the crowd, Algy brought up his wristcom.

"Captain, I've got eyes on Caroso."

"Copy that, where's he headed?"

"Towards the hangers."

"Very well, stay on him. I'll move to intercept."

"Copy that, sir. Hoffman out."

Panther walked through the crowded corridors, keeping his eyes peeled for any suspicious movement. Soon enough, he spotted a monitor lizard headed directly for him.

Judging by his vaguely military attire and the way he moved with a singular purpose, the jungle cat was certain that this was one of Marshal Koates' operatives.

"There's one."

Turning around, Panther began heading the other way, only to spot two figures that he was familiar with.

The simian, he remembered from Sargasso and knew to be named Bandera. The primate, known to Wolf and Leon as Algy, Panther had caught glimpses of in the factory a couple nights ago.

"Alright, time to split."

The wildcat quickly began searching for a way out and spotted an emergency exit. As he ran towards it, Panther heard the sounds of pounding boots and cries of annoyance as people were presumably shoved aside by his pursuers.

Bursting through the door and running up the sidewalk, Panther mused "I hope you're right about this, Leon."

Elsewhere

Watching through the grating of an air vent, Leon grinned as Algy, Bandera, and a monitor lizard chased Panther out of an emergency exit.

"Nice work, Panther."

The chameleon then continued crawling through the vents, not caring that he was getting filthier by the second. After all, he had a spare flight suit in his Wolfen.

A left turn here, a couple of paces straight there, Leon knew exactly where he was going, having made a point of memorizing the layout of the vents not long after Star Wolf had arrived on Kew. He had figured it would be handy in extreme situations.

Namely, the current one that the blasted dingo had put them in.

"Doesn't matter." the lizard thought. We'll do this one job and she'll be out of our hair forever."

Soon enough, the chameleon had found his way to Star Wolf's private hanger. Grinning, Leon removed the grating and lowered himself to the floor. Brushing dust off of his flight suit, the lizard began walking towards his fighter.

"Hands up, Powalski."

Leon stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder. Crouched behind a pile of supply crates was a bat aiming a blaster at the chameleon.

"Damn! I'm getting careless."

To Leon's surprise, the bat left cover and began walking towards him.

"Well, well, well. The Great Leon, Torturer of Lylat. Right where I want you."

"Take a picture, maybe it'll last longer." Leon retorted.

The bat continued to advance.

"Yeah, that's right. Come a little closer, dumbass."

The Venomian operative stopped within inches of Leon.

"You should have joined us, Powalski. It would have been so much simpler."

Leon simply grinned.

"It is simple."

The chameleon quickly reached out and grabbed the bat's wrist. He gave it a twist and made him drop his weapon.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you!"

Leon attempted to draw his own weapon, only for the Venomian to deliver a punch to the reptile's gut, causing him to double over.

"Looks like I'm gonna have to beat you to death. Quite an ironic fate for you, isn't it?"

Unbeknownst to the bat, Leon was reaching toward his boot and pulling out a throwing knife.

"Any last words, Powalski?"

The lizard tilted his head.

"Yeah."

Leon drew back his hand and hurled the knife, watching as it embedded itself in the bat's throat. The Venomian operative clutched at his throat and gurgled as blood jetted out between his fingers.

As the bat fell to his knees, Leon picked up his blaster, stood up, and fired a single shot into the operative's head, spraying the floor with blood and brain matter.

"When it's time to kill, kill. Don't talk." Leon remarked before holstering his weapon and turning towards his Wolfen.

Brushing more dust off of his flight suit, the chameleon opened the cockpit of his fighter and hopped in. After performing all his pre-flight checks and setting Wolf and Panther's fighters to autopilot, Leon waited for the overhead doors to open and then took off.

Seeing the skyline of Torzan sprawled out before him, Leon did a quick look to make sure that the other Wolfens were in formation with him and then boosted ahead.

Remembering his plan, the reptile keyed his comm.

"Panther, come in."

"I…. d…..Sa…gain."

"Panther? Panther!"

"Damn it."

Seeing that Panther was out of contact, Leon decided to attempt contacting Wolf.

"Boss, come in."

Elsewhere

Wolf whipped around and fired a burst of stun blasts at Fox, forcing the vulpine into cover. Hearing the carbine click empty, the lupine tossed it aside and drew his blaster, making sure to set for stun.

"Stay off my back, pup." Wolf called over his shoulder as he turned tail and ran.

As he caught up with Carmen, the wild dog heard his wristcom crackle to life.

"Boss, come in."

"Read you, Leon."

"I can't reach Panther. Get onto a rooftop and I'll come get you."

"Right, see you in a bit."

Turning to Carmen, Wolf was surprised to hear her saying "Damn, why did he have to get involved?"

Initially confused, Wolf came to a realization.

"You know the pup."

He reached out and grabbed the dingo by the arm, bringing them both to a stop.

"How?" Wolf growled and narrowed his violet eye.

Wrenching herself free, Carmen replied "I'll explain later."

As they resumed running, Wolf thought "Yeah, you'd better."

Throwing a glance over his shoulder, the lupine spotted Fox coming around a corner. Lifting his blaster, Wolf fired a couple of shots and watched the vulpine do a combat roll back around the corner.

The two wild dogs continued running for a bit before Carmen stopped at the entrance of an alley. Wolf followed her gaze and spotted a service ladder on one of the buildings.

"Good eye." he said as they headed towards it.

While scrambling up the ladder, the sounds of fighter engines reached Wolf's ears.

"Perfect timing."

Clambering onto the roof, Wolf glanced about the sky and spotted the trio of black and crimson Wolfens approaching their position. One of them descended towards the building and hovered beside it.

After opening the canopy, Wolf climbed into the cockpit and strapped himself in while Carmen did the same in the seat behind him.

Down on the ground, Fox stared upwards as the Wolfens sped away.

"Damn it!"

The vulpine holstered his blaster and keyed his comm.

"Falco, Star Wolf's in the air. Transferring their last known flight path to you."

"Got it, Fox. We won't let them get away."

"Good, the rest of us will join you as soon as we can. Fox out."

As he turned around and began heading back to the spaceport, Fox contacted the other members of the team.

"Krystal, Fara. Come in."

"Read you, Fox." came the voice of his girlfriend.

"Get back to the spaceport. Star Wolf has taken flight."

"Copy that. We'll see you there. Krystal out."

With that, the vulpine contacted the remaining members of his team.

"Fay, Miyu. Come in."

Nothing but static.

"Fay, Miyu. Do you read me?"

Still static. Thinking quickly, Fox contacted the Great Fox II.

"Peppy, I can't reach Fay or Miyu. What's going on?"

"The last I saw, their signals were headed into the subway."

"Subway? What the hell are they doing down there?"

"Search me. I tried calling them, but they didn't respond."

"Alright Peppy, let me know if anything comes up. Fox out."

As he jogged back to the spaceport, one thing dominated Fox's thoughts.

"I hope they're okay."

Unbeknownst to the vulpine, the mole known as King and the alligator known as Powell were watching him from the patio of a tavern.

Elsewhere

"Boss, multiple bogies inbound."

Wolf quickly glanced at his instrument panel.

"I see them. Betcha it's Star Fox."

The lupine let out a breath and thought about what to do. His mind made up, Wolf keyed his comm.

"Keep looking for Panther, I'll try and lure these punks up to the canyons."

"As you say, Boss."

As Wolf pulled away, he heard Carmen stir behind him.

"I thought we were trying to avoid Star Fox."

The lupine checked his scanners before responding.

"I'm just gonna do some damage and scare them away. No need to worry your pretty little head off."

Wolf grinned as he heard the dingo scoff.
