AN: As I said, this chapter is original. The reason for that is because in this chapter something amazing will happen. Something that none of you would expect from a story like this. What is it? Is it that amazing? Well, that's my opinion. Judge it when you read it.

It has been a couple of days since Korra joined the Fire Ferrets. She had set up a schedule where, first thing in the morning, she would begin pro-bending training and then, she would return to the island to train airbending.

All the while, the gang was by her side to support her in whatever she needed. Although on some occasions, they would separate from her to play with Tenzin's children or answer more questions in Jinora's case.

It was another day in Republic City and Korra and the gang were at that moment leaving the arena, heading towards Naga with the intention of returning to the island, as she had finished her morning training.

"Phew. It's been exhausting, but I think I'm getting the hang of it." said Korra wiping some sweat from her forehead.

"You're getting better little by little." said Littlefoot.

"Yeah. You don't look like the rookie who messed things up so badly in her first match anymore." said Cera.

"If it wasn't for me being a little tired, I'd make you pay for that." commented Korra.

"Now it's time for airbending training, isn't it?" asked Chomper.

"You've certainly been busy lately, because you've been busy lately." said Ruby.

"I know, but it's something I have to put up with if I want to be a better Avatar. Let's go, we have to get to the harbor first if we want to catch the first boat to the island." said Korra climbing onto Naga's back.

They were taking their first steps when...

"Son, don't go too far." said a female voice.

Ducky stopped and turned her head to see a mother holding her son Meelo's age by the hand.

"I won't, Mom." said the boy.

"That's the way I like it. I don't want you to be separated from me. I'd worry if anything happened to you." said the mother.

"Okay, Mom." said the boy.

At what she was seeing, Ducky began to sadden, as it reminded her of her mother and the time they had been in that world away from her.

"Ducky. Hurry up. You're falling behind." said Ruby snapping Ducky out of her state.

"I'm coming!" said Ducky running to catch up, not getting what she had just thought out of her head.

When night came, everyone went to their rooms to sleep. For a moment during the night, Korra found herself unable to conceive of sleep and decided to go get a glass of water to relax.

After drinking some water, she went straight to her room, but on the way, just as she passed the room where the gang was resting, whose door was ajar.

"Ducky, what's the matter with you? You've been so depressed all day." said Littlefoot from inside the room.

Hearing that, Korra couldn't help but be curious and stood to the side so she could hear what they were saying.

"It's just... I... *Snif* I miss my mom." said Ducky as Spike let out a sad moan.

Upon hearing that, the rest of the gang began to sadden, and Korra was a bit taken aback.

"I guess we all feel the same way, don't we?" asked Chomper.

"Yes. I miss my dad, Tria and Tricia." said Cera.

"Me miss mom, brothers and sisters." said Petrie.

"And I miss my grandparents." said Littlefoot.

"To tell you the truth, we have been in this world for a long time without knowing how to get back to ours and since we have been in this world for a long time without knowing how to get back, our families must be worried." said Ruby.

"I know Korra promised us she would help us with that and it's nice to be with her and help her in any way we can, but we all miss home very much." said Littlefoot.

Ducky nodded as a tear ran down her face.

Ducky

When the sun went down

and everyone was sleeping.

If I heard a sound

like things around me creeping.

She would wrap her tail around me

and tell me 'Don't be scared'

and I knew that I was safe because

she's always there.

Cera

When the storms would come

and things would seem so bad

and I'd wanna cry.

Almost

I'd listen to my dad.

He promised that the rain would pass.

The day would soon be fair

and I never was afraid because

he's always there.

The gang

Always there

someone you can count on

to comfort you.

Always there

like a green, green valley

you can come home to.

Littlefoot went to the window to look at the bright moon in the night sky.

Littlefoot

I remember now

like it was yesterday.

She would hold me close

and then I'd hear her say

'You know I'll never leave you…

You can find me everywhere

in the morning light, the evening star

I'm always there'

Littlefoot returned with the others as they were about to go to sleep.

The gang

Always there

someone you can count on

to comfort you.

Always there

like a green, green valley

you can come home to.

Littlefoot tucked Ducky in with Spike's tail before returning to gazing at the moon.

Littlefoot

Always there.

After that, Littlefoot went to sleep with the others.

Korra, who had heard it all, began to shed tears as she thought about what she had heard.

How could she be such an idiot?

When they found out they were in another world, she offered to help them find a way back to their world.

And what did she do?

Train and train without regard for them.

Tenzin may have been asking for help and doing some research, but so far, he hadn't found anything.

"Can't you sleep?" Korra let out a little yelp of fright as she quickly turned to discover Pema with a loving smile.

"Pema." said Korra wiping her tears with her arm. "No. I just... I was just..." said Korra trying to explain what was going on.

"You care about them, don't you?" asked Pema getting an idea of what was going on.

Seeing that she had been discovered, Korra let out a deep sigh.

"How could I have been so selfish? They are children who are in a world they don't know, far from their parents and families who are surely very worried about them. I know I promised them I would help them, but Tenzin still can't find a solution. Since I met them, I've only been focusing on training and not paying enough attention to them." said Korra before hugging herself. "I feel like I'm a bad friend."

"In that case, I think it would be best if you spent more time with them." suggested Pema.

Instantly, a click sounded in Korra's head.

"That's it! I know how to make it up for them! Thank you, Pema." said Korra gently hugging the pregnant woman.

"You're welcome." said Pema as Korra ran to her room and climbed into bed with a big smile.

"Don't worry, guys. Tomorrow will be a different day." said Korra looking up at the moon before closing her eyes to sleep.

The sun had risen on a new day. The gang was sleeping peacefully in their room, as the curtains kept out the sunlight.

Suddenly, Korra rushed into the room.

"Wake up, kids! It's a new day today!" said Korra pulling aside the curtains in the room and opening the window, allowing the sun's rays to hit the gang who groaned a little.

"No. It isn't. Let us sleep some more." said Cera turning to stand with her back to the sun.

"Me still not awake." said Petrie.

"Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky using Spike's tail to cover herself.

"Sorry, but that's not going to be possible. We have a lot to do today." said Korra with her hands on her hips.

"That's right. You have the pro-bending training." said Ruby standing up still with narrowed eyes.

"No. You're wrong." said Korra.

"What do you mean?" asked Chomper.

"You see, I've realized that lately I've only been thinking about myself without considering your situation and that made me feel bad." said Korra.

"Don't feel bad, Korra. You needed to train yourself to be a full Avatar." said Littlefoot.

"I know, but still, I would like to reward you. So I've decided that today there will be no pro-bending or airbending training. The whole day will be dedicated to spending time with you. What do you think?" asked Korra with a smile, hoping they liked the idea.

The gang looked at each other, thinking about the Avatar's offer.

"You know? It doesn't sound bad." said Littlefoot smiling.

"We haven't seen much of the city, and we've been here several days." said Chomper.

"Day to explore." said Petrie.

"I love exploring new places. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded.

"Besides, with Korra with us, it will be easier to walk around town without getting in trouble." said Cera remembering the first time they came to town.

"Not to mention she can teach us things we didn't know, since things we didn't know she can teach us." said Ruby.

"Then it's settled. Let's go enjoy a beautiful day in Republic City!" said Korra showing the outside of the window that gave a good view of the city.

For the next few hours, Korra and the gang spent their time walking around the city. There were people throwing curious glances at the gang, but seeing as they were with the Avatar, they let it pass, though they were still curious about them.

Their first stop was the clothing stores, where Korra gave them a brief explanation of how important clothing was to humans and a demonstration of the garments worn in each nation, trying them on in the process, much to the amusement of the gang.

Feeling curious about the clothes, the gang decided to try them on, although they only got to try on hats, capes, and shoes, which amused everyone but the store manager.

They then went for a walk in the park, where Korra again met Gommu and introduced him to the gang. To her surprise, he took the fact that they were unknown talking creatures quite well, but let it pass.

There was a moment when they met the protester again who was motivating people to join Amon and the Equalists, but they decided to ignore him, as they wanted to concentrate 100% on their special day.

During their stroll through the city, the gang would ask questions about human culture, such as vehicles, stores and even laws, and Korra was happy to answer all their questions so they could have fun and see the wonders of the human world.

It was almost noon when the gang decided to take a break on a bench.

"So, what did you think of the hike?" asked Korra.

"I loved it." said Littlefoot.

"Who knew humans would have so many things that dinosaurs don't need." said Cera.

"Your world is so much more amazing than ours." said Chomper.

"Don't say that. From what you told me, it seems yours has its own wonders." said Korra.

At that moment, a loud roar sounded.

"Hihi. Looks like Spike is hungry." said Ducky pointing to her brother who let out a groan.

"Me hungry too." Petrie said.

"Now that you mention it, I am too, now that you mention it." said Ruby.

Just then, Korra's stomach let out a slight growl as well, causing her to blush slightly.

"Hehe. I guess all that walking has made us hungry, huh?" asked Korra rubbing the back of her head.

"Yeah, but what are we going to eat?" asked Littlefoot.

Korra immediately started thinking. They could go to a restaurant, but Tenzin hadn't given her enough money to cover a full meal, not to mention she didn't know if they allowed animals on the premises. Besides, there was the fact that, among them, there was one carnivore while the rest were herbivores.

It was then that she noticed something out of the corner of her eye and turned her head to see a hearty ice cream stand, which caused a smile to form on her face.

"I have an idea. How about trying one of the sweetest and most delicious foods in this world?" asked Korra.

"Oh, I'd love to. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike licked his lips at the mention of something very delicious.

"Sounds good, actually." said Cera.

"And don't worry, Chomper. It's a food that's sure to please a predator like you." said Korra knowing of the sharptooth's food tastes.

"Okay, if you say so." said Chomper.

"All right. Follow me, then." said Korra getting up from the bench and leading the gang towards the ice cream stand, where they could see the manager crouched down as he checked some things. "Excuse me, we'd like to order something." said Korra getting the manager's attention.

"Sure. How may I...?" began the manager getting up to see his customers, but as soon as he saw them, he was in shock. "Korra?!"

"Hasook?!" exclaimed Korra and the gang in unison, for the attendant was none other than the former waterbender of the Fire Ferrets.

"What are you doing here?" asked Hasook.

"No. What are YOU doing here? We haven't heard from you since you left the Fire Ferrets." said Korra.

"You mean since you left them at the last minute." said Cera.

"Mako and Bolin almost lost match because you." said Petrie.

"That thing you did wasn't right at all. No, no, no." said Ducky as Spike scowled at him.

"Why did you do that?" asked Littlefoot.

"Okay, listen. I admit what I did was wrong, but I did it for a good reason." said Hasook.

"And what was that?" asked Chomper.

"You saw how I was in my last match. I was sure that in that match against the Platypus Bears something similar would happen and we would end up losing." explained Hasook.

"So you'd rather quit to make them retreat than go and make them lose, right?" asked Ruby.

"That and I couldn't stand Mako scolding me for being useless." said Hasook.

"I understand you." said Korra.

"And from what I heard, what I did turned out better than I thought it would. Because if I hadn't, Korra wouldn't have joined the team and they wouldn't have been able to enter the tournament." said Hasook.

"Well, I guess you're right." said Korra seeing that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for him.

"Besides, I'm glad I left the pro-bending. This way I can use my waterbending for more than just beating other people up, like this." said Hasook showing the stand he was serving in.

"All's well that ends well." said Littlefoot.

"Well, let's leave the subject for later. So, what can I help you with?" asked Hasook returning to his duty as a steward.

Going back to why they came in the first place, Korra asked Hasook for several different flavors of ice cream so the gang could try them all. Once she had everything, Korra proceeded to pay.

"Here you go." said Korra giving Hasook the corresponding money.

"Thank you and if you see Mako, tell him I'm sorry." said Hasook.

"We will." said Littlefoot as he and the others walked away to return to the bench where they were sitting.

Once they were seated, Korra set down bowls full of ice cream next to the gang as she kept one for herself.

"Go ahead and try it and you'll see what I'm talking about." said Korra.

The gang was curious about the new food in front of them, undecided who to try it first, but in the end, it was Spike who started it when he licked some of his ice cream and soon after, he let out a happy moan and proceeded to lick the ice cream non-stop.

"He seems to like it." said Ducky.

Littlefoot was next to try the ice cream.

"Hey, it's really good." said Littlefoot.

Chomper also tried some ice cream.

"It's true. It's cold, but also delicious." said Chomper.

"Me never imagined cold would taste so good." said Petrie sipping his ice cream.

"It's the best thing I've ever tasted in my life." said Cera taking her ice cream.

"I didn't know humans could make something so delicious. Something this delicious I didn't know humans could make." said Ruby taking her ice cream.

"I knew you would like it, but I would advise you not to eat it too fast or else..." started Korra trying to warn the gang.

But suddenly, Spike, who had been eating his ice cream quickly, began to shiver and whimper as he put his paws on his head.

"What's wrong with Spike?" asked Ducky.

"That's what I was going to warn you about. Don't worry, he's just getting brain freeze." explained Korra.

"Spike's brain freeze?" asked Petrie with fear and curiosity.

"Not really. It's a headache you get when you eat something cold quickly. So it's advisable to take your ice cream slowly." said Korra.

"Good thing you said that in time. I don't know if I could stand that." said Cera.

"Are you okay, Spike?" asked Littlefoot before Spike gave a nod.

"Try not to eat your ice cream too fast, got it?" asked Ducky getting another nod from her brother, as he didn't want to experience that pain again.

Once the moment passed, Korra and the gang went back to enjoying their ice cream and each other's company.

At that moment, Korra and the gang were strolling down a particular street.

"So, what do you want to do now?" asked Korra.

"What if we go to the stadium to watch a pro-bending match?" asked Littlefoot.

"I'd love to. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"I'd rather go somewhere quiet." said Cera.

"Me not take you as someone who wants quiet." said Petrie.

"Just once in a while." said Cera.

"We might as well walk somewhere." said Chomper.

"It's a good idea to walk quietly, because walking quietly is a good idea." said Ruby.

"Okay, guys. We still have plenty of time. Enough time to get everything done. So let's take it one step at a time." said Korra.

The group was walking a couple more steps when suddenly.

"Excuse me." said a voice that made them stop and turn to the side to see a guy with shaved hair and sunglasses. "You wouldn't happen to be the Avatar, would you?"

"Yes, I am." said Korra.

"Oh, good. You see, I noticed something weird in that alley. I think it might be a spirit and the Avatar is the bridge between humans and spirits, right?" asked the man.

"Well, yes... but..." began Korra not knowing what to do.

She had decided that she would pass on her duties as Avatar and pro-bending player so that she could spend time with the gang, but she couldn't deny that she was hoping for an opportunity like that to be able to get in contact with spirits, as, during her time at the complex, she tried to contact spirits, enter the spirit world, or even talk to Avatars from the past, but to no avail. Now she seemed to have the opportunity to interact with one and didn't know exactly what to do.

That's when she noticed a little nudge from the side and turned her head to look at Littlefoot.

"Don't worry. Go check it out." said Littlefoot.

"But I said I was going to spend the day with you." said Korra.

"We know, but if that man is asking for your help, you should give it to him." said Littlefoot.

"You wouldn't be the Avatar if you refused to help someone. No, no, no." said Ducky.

"Besides, it's just checking one thing. It's not like it's anything serious and would take you long either." said Cera.

The gang was right. What kind of Avatar would refuse to help a person in trouble? Even if the matter was something simple like checking one thing, if he needed the Avatar's help precisely, then she would do it. The sooner she got that over with, the sooner she could get back to spending the day with the gang.

"All right. Take me to where you saw that." said Korra getting a smile from the man.

"Sure. It's this way." said the man leading the Avatar down a nearby alley while the gang stayed behind waiting.

Korra followed the man all the way into the alley. The man stood in the corner as the Avatar looked around for anything unusual but saw nothing at all.

"What am I supposed to find? There's nothing here." said Korra turning to look at the shaven-haired man.

"Oh, of course there's something. Something of a very, very great value." said the shaven-haired man.

"What?" asked Korra not noticing a pair of shadows looming behind her.

"You." said the shaven-haired man.

Before Korra could say anything, two people pounced on her and knocked her to the ground. One grabbed her legs and the other stood on her back while keeping her hands gripped with one hand as he used the other to cover Korra's mouth to keep her from screaming.

"I'm sorry for this way of treating you by my companions, but I can't have you screwing things up. I'm sure Councilman Tenzin will be willing to pay a hefty sum of money to get his beloved Avatar back." the shaven-haired man said.

Korra frowned at the man setting her up for capture and ransom. She may not have been able to use her bending powers due to the restrictions, but that didn't mean she was going to let herself be captured.

Opening her mouth as wide as she could, she managed to bite the hand of the man above her who let out a great cry of pain as he pulled his hand away from the Avatar's mouth.

"Korra! Is something wrong?" asked Littlefoot entering the alley with the gang after hearing the scream.

But they instantly froze when they saw their friend in danger.

"Kids, stay back! It's dangerous!" shouted Korra.

"Well, well, well. I see the Avatar's strange pets have decided to join the party." said the shaven-haired man as he pulled out a knife and walked over to the gang.

"Let her go right now!" demanded Littlefoot angrily.

"And what will you do if I don't?" asked the shaven-haired man with a confident smile.

Korra was watching in horror as her little mistake had endangered her new friends on a day that was supposed to be fun and cute.

"I said... LET... HER... GO!" shouted Littlefoot as he suddenly expelled a blast of fire from his mouth.

The fire had hit that man but for the fact that, from fright, he fell on his butt on the ground. Once the fire melted, everyone looked at Littlefoot in total shock, even Littlefoot was in shock at what he had done.

"T-That creature has expelled fire from its mouth!" said the man who was holding the Avatar's legs.

"If that creature can do that, what will the others do?!" asked the man standing over the Avatar.

"I don't know, but I don't plan on finding it out!" said the shaven-haired man before getting up and running away from the alley along with his cronies, leaving the Avatar and the gang in the alley who were still in shock at what had happened.

"What... What did you do?" asked Cera in shock.

"I... I don't know." said Littlefoot totally shocked and scared by what he had done.

Korra quickly got up to run over to the longneck and crouch down to be at his height.

"Littlefoot, are you okay?" asked Korra with concern.

"I think so, but what about you?" asked Littlefoot remembering the situation the Avatar was in earlier.

"That doesn't matter now. I need you to explain me what happened." said Korra.

"Well... I don't know how to explain it. When I saw you in that situation and that man intended to hurt you, I got very angry. Then, I felt a heat inside me that went up my neck and before I knew it I was spewing fire out of my mouth." said Littlefoot.

"Do you know what's wrong with Littlefoot?" asked Chomper.

"It's really weird that a longneck can spit fire, because that a longneck can spit fire is really weird." said Ruby.

Korra began to think of some logical explanation for what was happening to her longneck friend. Unfortunately, based on the explanation he had given her, there was only one possible explanation. One that was completely crazy, if not impossible, but she had to try it.

"Littlefoot, I need you to listen to me and do what I say. Got it?" asked Korra receiving a nod from the longneck. "First lift your paw up and then, imagine you're holding a small flame, like a candle flame. I know it may sound weird but try it."

Believing that this way he would find the answers he needed and trusting her, Littlefoot heeded what she said and lifted his paw before imagining that candle flame.

Nothing happened for a few seconds, even Korra began to think that her theory was still impossible, but suddenly...

Everyone let out a gasp of total surprise when, on Littlefoot's paw, a small flame formed. That completely confirmed the Avatar's theory.

"This is unbelievable. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"Me not believe what me seeing." said Petrie.

"What's happening to me?" asked Littlefoot.

"Littlefoot, I think you have become... a firebender." said Korra.

Tenzin was with his children in the dining room, quietly drinking some tea. That morning, Korra had informed him that she wouldn't be doing any training that day because she wanted to spend a day off with the gang.

Of course, he wanted to refuse, but his wife, Pema, convinced him, telling him that she might need a break from so much training plus it would be good for the gang as well because of their situation.

"Jo, Dad. Why couldn't we go with Korra and the others?" asked Ikki very bored.

"Because that was Korra's request, and we would upset them if we went with them." said Tenzin.

"Well if I had gone with them, I would have shown them how to have a blast." said Meelo.

"That's what they were worried about." said Jinora without looking away from her book.

"Besides, I'm sure there won't be any problems." said Tenzin drinking some more tea.

"TENZIN!" shouted Korra abruptly bursting through the door, causing Tenzin to spit out the drank contents out of shock before coughing a little.

"Korra, what in the world was that all about?!" asked Tenzin demanding answers.

"Weren't you taking a walk around town?" asked Jinora who had looked away from her book.

"We were, but something happened that made us come back here in a hurry." said Cera.

"What happened?" asked Tenzin.

"Littlefoot has become a firebender!" said Korra.

There was a small silence as the family of airbenders looked at them in confusion, until Meelo broke it by bursting out laughing.

"Don't talk nonsense. That's impossible." said Tenzin not believing what the Avatar had said.

"So how do you explain this?" asked Littlefoot raising his paw and summoning a small flame.

Tenzin recoiled in shock, almost spilling the glass with tea, Jinora covered her mouth with her hands while Ikki and Meelo were left with their mouths hanging.

"B-But... but that's impossible." said Jinora.

"How did that happen?" asked Tenzin getting up.

"We don't know exactly. That's why we came here." said Korra.

"We think you might have the answer as to why I can firebend now." said Littlefoot.

"Do you know, Dad?" asked Ikki.

Tenzin crossed his arms and closed his eyes as he began to formulate in his mind some possible explanation for what was happening to the dinosaur. He stayed like that for almost a minute and those present began to worry believing he had found nothing.

"I have a theory that might explain it, but I don't know if it's true at all." said Tenzin.

"Right now it can be worth anything." said Korra.

"Good. As you know, the art of bending comes from a special chi that only benders possess. It is possible that Littlefoot had that chi within him." said Tenzin beginning to explain his theory.

"If that true, why he not able to firebend earlier?" asked Petrie.

"Perhaps it is due to the difference between worlds. Maybe in your world the art of bending doesn't exist, but here it does, and surely because of the time you spent in our world, you have awakened that power within you." said Tenzin.

"I think I understand." said Littlefoot.

"Isn't it amazing, Littlefoot? You're a firebender!" said Korra having gone from surprise and concern to excitement.

"I know. I was a little surprised and scared of this, but now I'm excited." said Littlefoot smiling.

"Wait a minute. I have a question." began Cera getting the attention of the others. "If Littlefoot had that chi that makes him a bender, what about us?"

"That's right. Does that mean that means that we could be benders too?" asked Chomper.

"If you have that special chi, yes." said Jinora.

"That's good, that's good, that's good. We could be benders. Isn't that amazing, Spike?" asked Ducky getting a nod from her brother.

"I wonder what kind of elements we bend, because we don't know what kind of elements we bend." said Ruby.

"Leave that to me." said Korra.

Later, Korra, the young airbenders, Littlefoot and the rest of the gang in front of them were in a separate meadow on the island. Tenzin had to leave on urgent council business even though he was curious about the gang and their new powers, but he would be sure to do some research on the matter as well as the subject of returning them to their world.

"So... what exactly are we going to do?" asked Chomper.

"Very simple. We know that Littlefoot is a firebender, but we don't know if any of you are as well. So we'll conduct a test to prove it." said Korra.

"What do we have to do?" asked Ducky.

"First, raise a paw or hand." said Korra as the other members of the gang raised their paw or hand. "Okay, now, the key of firebending is inner heat. Try to concentrate on that heat and then turn it into a flame that you are holding."

For a few seconds, the others were concentrating, trying to figure out which of them was a firebender.

"Whew, getting really hot from concentrating so hard." said Petrie.

It was then, when Ducky noticed something beside her and turned to look at it, only to let out a gasp of astonishment.

"It's not heat. Look!" said Ducky.

They all looked in the direction the swimmer pointed to be shocked when they saw that Chomper had managed to summon a small flame in his hand.

"I... I did it!" said Chomper in amazement and joy.

"Congratulations, Chomper! You're a firebender!" announced Korra.

"Yes! Isn't that amazing, Littlefoot? We're both firebenders!" said Chomper.

"Good for you, buddy." said Littlefoot.

"Yikes. That means neither of us is a firebender." said Cera feeling frustrated.

"Don't feel bad, Cera. There are still three elements left to try." said Jinora trying to cheer her up.

"It's true. We may not be firebenders, but we are likely to be benders of another element." said Ruby.

"Good. Let's move on to the next test." said Korra.

Later, the entire group found themselves near a small pond, with the remaining five members of the gang spread out around it.

"Okay, now we're going to do a test for waterbending. What you have to do is concentrate on the water in front of you. Pretend to grab some of it to form a bubble." said Korra as she gestured with her hands on how to do it.

"Oh, I love bubbles. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"Then you'll probably make it through the test." said Ikki.

For a couple of minutes, the five of the gang were moving their hands/legs as if they were catching water without touching it in an attempt to create a water bubble.

Finally, after trying several times, Cera gave up.

"This is absurd. We've been doing this for a long time, and we haven't gotten anywhere." said Cera feeling frustrated.

"Uh... Me not so sure." said Petrie pointing in one direction.

When Cera looked in that direction, she was shocked, as were the others, when they saw that Ducky and Ruby had managed to lift a small bubble of water out of the pond.

"Wow! We did it!" said Ruby.

"Yep, yep, yep!" began Ducky so excited that she popped the bubble before running over to Korra. "Did you see, Korra? I'm a waterbender!" exclaimed Ducky happily before jumping up to hug Korra, who returned the hug with joy.

"Hehe. I'm happy for you, Ducky. And you too, Ruby." said Korra stroking the fast runner's head.

"I don't understand! I've been trying so hard! Why haven't I gotten anything?" asked Cera angrily.

"Calm down, Cera. You may not be a firebender or waterbender, but you still have two elements left to try." said Jinora trying to reassure her.

"And if you don't get anything it's because you're not a bender." said Ikki.

"Yes. Cera isn't a bender. Cera isn't a bender. Cera isn't a bender." chanted Meelo mocking the threehorn, which made her very angry.

"That's enough!" shouted Cera stomping her paw loudly.

Suddenly, a mound of dirt quickly rose up underneath Meelo, causing him to stumble and fall backwards with a groan. Needless to say, everyone was surprised by that.

"Korra, did you do that?" asked Chomper.

"No, I didn't." said Korra.

"Then... that means..." began Jinora.

"Cera, you're an earthbender!" said Littlefoot excitedly.

"I am?" asked Cera in confusion before that confusion turned to joy. "I am! Yes! I am an earthbender!" exclaimed Cera with great joy as she did little hops.

"That was my plan all along." said Meelo sitting up and acting smart when he wasn't.

"I guess there are few of us left to try, because of us, there are few of us left to try." said Ruby.

"Yep, yep, yep. I can't wait to see what kind of bender Spike is." said Ducky.

"By way, where he?" asked Petrie.

"There he is." said Korra pointing to the side, where they could see Spike near a tree.

Spike stared at the leaves on the tree and licked his lips, wanting to eat them, but they were too high up. Suddenly, he stomped on the ground and a small rock shot out of the ground from under the tree, causing it to topple to the side. After that, Spike proceeded to eat the leaves of the tree he had knocked down.

Needless to say, everyone was perplexed by the way the spiketail awakened his power of bending.

"I guess he's an earthbender too." said Chomper.

"I have to admit, I wasn't expecting that." said Jinora.

"Hihi. That's my little brother for you." said Ducky.

"Now it's just you left, Petrie." said Korra as they all turned their gaze to the little flyer.

"Uh... Me not sure wanna go on." said Petrie a little nervously.

"Easy. It's just a little test. What harm can it do?" asked Korra.

That's when Littlefoot noticed something in the sky.

"Look out!" shouted Littlefoot.

The others turned their gaze to the sky to see that the rock that Spike had shot into the sky was falling and by the shadow, it was going to land on Petrie.

"AAHH!" shouted Petrie in pure fear before reaching out his hands towards the incoming rock and suddenly, he launched a gust of wind that pushed the rock away from him, which left everyone's eyes and mouths wide open, especially the humans.

"He... He just..." began Jinora.

"Airbend." finished Korra.

"Petrie!" shouted Ikki grabbing the flyer and hugging him tightly. "I can't believe it! You're an airbender!"

"Me be?" asked Petrie.

"Yes, you're one of us." said Meelo.

Korra reached over and pulled Petrie out of the embrace to place him on her hands.

"That's nice, isn't it, Petrie?" asked Korra.

"Me not understand. Why you not mad at me?" asked Petrie.

"Why would I be?" asked Korra curiously.

"You train hard for airbend, and I get it on first try." said Petrie.

"That's okay, Petrie. Unlike you, I am the Avatar and there have been times when the Avatar had a hard time bend an element. Don't feel bad because you can airbend better than me." said Korra with a smile that the flyer returned.

"Well, it looks like we are all benders, now what?" asked Cera.

"Something that will make this day even more interesting. Training!" said Korra.

On one side of the island, Littlefoot and Chomper were standing with Korra.

"I don't understand, why do we have to split up?" asked Littlefoot.

"Because you are benders of different elements, so you will have to do different training. This is to prevent you from hurting each other." said Korra.

"And you're going to teach us?" asked Chomper.

"Of course. I've been learning waterbending, earthbending and firebending for years. I know enough to teach you. Besides, it'll be a good way to spend time together, don't you think?" asked Korra with her hands on her hips.

"Sounds like a good idea to me. So where do we start?" asked Littlefoot eager to begin the training.

"It'll be a little tricky, since you have no hands, but it's okay to try." said Korra with a shrug before getting into position. "Okay, for starters, take this position. The most basic of firebending isn't only knowing how to summon fire, but how to expel it. So we'll start with a couple of moves. One, two and three." said Korra stepping forward, then throwing a punch forward and then a kick, expelling a fireball in those last two moves. "Prove it."

The two firebender dinosaurs began their training. Littlefoot had a little trouble with the punching and kicking part due to walking on all fours, but he kept trying hard and Chomper had it easy on the first two moves, but on the kicking part he stumbled a little from time to time.

"Very good. Keep it up until you can do what I can do. I'll be right back, don't lose focus on everything." said Korra before walking away, leaving the two dinosaurs behind.

Korra arrived at an area where Cera and Spike were standing. While Spike was waiting patiently, Cera waited impatiently.

"It's about time you arrived. I'm really looking forward to start training." said Cera.

"Cera, if you want to be a good earthbender, you have to be patient. The key to earthbending is to know how to listen and wait for the moment. Even Toph Beifong, who was blind, knew how to stand her ground and wait for the right moment." said Korra.

"Okay, okay. How do we do that?" asked Cera.

"For now, take this stance." said Korra before taking an earthbender's stance. "Stay like that for a few seconds and then stomp, stomp, fist, fist." said Korra making said movements as she explained.

"In case you haven't noticed, we're not two-legged like you." said Cera as Spike shook his head.

"Well, yes, but I don't think there's any other way to do it." said Korra.

Both earthbender dinosaurs looked at each other before doing the same position Korra showed, but as soon as they both lifted a paw to stomp, they lost their balance and ended up falling over, with Spike being on top of Cera. Korra had to stifle a giggle to keep from angering the threehorn.

"Keep trying, I'll be back in a bit." said Korra before walking away, leaving the two dinosaurs who returned to the same position as before.

Then Korra arrived at the side of the pond where Ducky and Ruby were waiting.

"You have arrived, you have arrived, you have arrived." said Ducky happy that Korra had arrived.

"At last we will begin our training, because now we will begin our training." said Ruby.

"That's right." said Korra.

"When will we be able to squirt water like you do?" asked Ducky.

"Hehe. One step at a time, Ducky. You're still beginners in waterbending." said Korra.

"So how do we get started?" asked Ruby.

"For now, what you must do is concentrate your power in the water." said Korra before doing a pull and push motion, making the water move as if on the seashore. "This is a basic move for novice waterbenders. Try it yourselves."

And so, the two dinosaur waterbenders began to make pull and push movements, succeeding in making the water move.

"Hey, we're doing it. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

"Great. Keep it up for a while and we'll start the next step." said Korra.

"Well, Petrie, since you're an airbender, we'll take over training you instead of Korra." said Jinora as the flyer landed on her head.

"Right, because she hasn't airbend yet." said Ikki.

"I hope you're prepared, because you'll be wishing you were gone soon." said Meelo sounding threatening, which made the flyer shiver in fear.

"Me not sure about this." said Petrie frightened by the young airbender's threat.

"Don't listen to him. Everything will be fine as long as you follow my advice." said Jinora.

"Well, here we are." said Ikki just as the four of them reached the area of the gates, which scared Petrie quite a bit.

"Ah, no. No, no, no. Me not want that again. Still having headache from earlier." said Petrie.

"That's because you rushed straight before." said Jinora as she grabbed the flyer to put it in front of the three of them. "But you're an airbender now, you should find it easier to handle it."

"But Korra also airbender and ended very bad." said Petrie.

"Touché." said Meelo.

"The important thing is that I think you'll be able to do it. You just have to have more confidence in yourself." said Jinora encouraging the flyer.

Petrie looked at the young airbender, then at the gates and then at his own hands, thinking about the power he now had. Throughout his life, he had been flying through the skies, being part of the air and now he had the ability to bend it. At that moment, he felt confident that he could complete the training.

"Okay! Me trust me and complete test!" said Petrie with determination.

"Way to go, Petrie. Now, let's get started." said Jinora before launching a gust of wind that caused the gates to begin spinning rapidly.

Petrie took flight and launched himself towards the gates, but then, before he could get any further in, the first gate he ran into hit him and sent him back to the young airbenders with a small groan of pain.

"We'll have to work hard." said Jinora.

Korra was teaching Littlefoot and Chomper how to throw fireballs. The two dinosaurs imitated the movement, managing to throw small fireballs. It wasn't much, but it was valid.

Whatever you do, I'll do it, too.

Show me everything and tell me how.

Korra was then teaching Ducky and Ruby how to make water whips, which they showed a little difficulty in doing, but thanks to the Avatar's advice, they were able to hold them for a while.

It all means something

and yet nothing to me.

Korra was now teaching Cera and Spike to lift rocks to throw. She found them difficult at first because they walked on all fours, but then Cera, a bit frustrated, suddenly managed to do it in a style suited to her own, which pleased Korra.

I can see there's so much to learn.

It's all so close and yet so far.

Petrie went through the test of the gates again, managing to move between them in a spiral motion, making it all the way through and when he reached the other side, he received congratulations from Tenzin's children.

I see myself as people see me.

Oh, I just know there's something bigger out there.

Korra was now in the temple library along with the gang and the young airbenders, who were teaching their students texts showing images of benders of the four elements in action.

I wanna know, can you show me.

I wanna know about these strangers like me.

With what she learned, Korra began to help Littlefoot develop firebending moves for a four-legged creature. The same went for Cera and Spike with earthbending.

Tell me more, please show me.

Something's familiar about these strangers like me.

With their own proper moves and style, Korra found it easier to explain things. She was now with Littlefoot and Chomper, teaching them more firebending techniques and they both enjoyed the lessons.

Every gesture, every move that she makes,

makes me feel like never before.

Later, he did the same with Ducky and Ruby, going so far as to teach them how to squirt water and even teaching them the basics of turning water into ice.

Why do I have

this growing need to be beside her.

Then, with Cera and Spike, she was teaching them to erect columns, walls and small mounds of earth and this time, both of them were able to do it calmly and patiently, almost in Cera's case.

Ooh, these emotions I never knew

of some other world far beyond this place.

Meanwhile, the young airbenders were teaching Petrie how to launch wind blasts and even create air scooters like his own. The latter had cost a lot more for the flyer.

Beyond the trees, above the clouds

I see before me a new horizon.

Afterwards, they decided among all of them to make a small test by making them face (by elemental turns) Korra. At first they had their doubts, as they didn't want to hurt her, but they were reassured by the Avatar. First it was Littlefoot and Chomper, then Ducky and Ruby, then Cera and Spike, and finally Petrie. At each fight, Korra and the young airbenders made sure to explain each other's faults and improvements.

I wanna know, can you show me.

I wanna know about these strangers like me.

Tell me more, please show me

something's familiar about these strangers like me.

Now they were all resting face up in a circular position gazing calmly at the sky while Korra told them about the benders of each type to help them a little and at all times, they were enjoying each other's company.

Come with me now to see my world.

Where there's beauty beyond your dreams.

Can you feel the things I feel

right now, with you.

Take my hand.

There's a world I need to know.

"Well, it's getting pretty late now. We'd better call it a night." said Korra.

"Yes. I think we've had enough training." said Littlefoot.

"Speak for yourself. I still have enough energy to continue." said Cera.

"In that case save them for tomorrow." said Korra.

"What do we do now?" asked Chomper.

"What you usually do after training." said Korra.

"So what is it?" asked Ruby.

"Catch me if you can!" exclaimed Korra before running away from them.

Understanding that they were playing, the gang burst out laughing as they chased her down the hill. As they ran, Littlefoot jumped at her, causing her to fall and they both rolled on the ground as they all laughed. In the end, Korra sat on the ground with the gang around her, all of them sharing a happy smile, as that, without a doubt, had been the best day of their lives.

I wanna know, can you show me.

I wanna know about these strangers like me.

Tell me more, please show me

something's familiar about these strangers like me.

I wanna know.

It was already evening, and everyone was in the dining room enjoying a nice dinner while commenting on what he had been doing since the big revelation.

"How was the training?" asked Tenzin rather curiously.

"It went better than I thought it would. Who knew you would be such good students." said Korra.

"That's because you're a good teacher." said Littlefoot.

"Yep, yep, yep. Korra is without a doubt the best teacher in the world." said Ducky as Spike nodded.

"Stop, please. You're embarrassing me." said Korra blushing, much to the laughter of the young airbenders.

"Thanks to her, we know how to master our powers better." said Chomper creating two flames in his hands before closing them to extinguish them.

"I think if I keep this up, I'll be able to move mountains." said Cera with great confidence.

"You still have a lot to learn if you want to do that." said Korra.

"At the moment, we can only do small things given our level, so we can only do small things." said Ruby.

"And how did it go for you, Petrie? I hope my children didn't cause you too much trouble," said Tenzin.

"Quite opposite. Jinora, Ikki and Meelo helped me lot on me becoming airbender. Thanks to them me know better airbending." said Petrie bringing a big smile to the young airbenders.

"It looks like this day has turned out better than could have been imagined." said Pema.

"You have no idea." said Korra.

"I hope there are more days like this one." said Littlefoot.

And so ended a day that would remain in the memories of the Avatar and the gang, but, despite wishing for days like this to keep happening, deep within the city, something was forming that would make a peaceful and quiet city no longer peaceful.

AN: How did you like what I did? Did you like what I did? I bet you probably didn't imagine it. Well, now that we're done with this original chapter, we're back to canon and if you've seen the series, you'll know what's going to happen in the next chapter. See you!
