Ash, Pikachu and Greninja were training on a river bend. The frog pokemon was spending a short time training with his trainer.
"Greninja, use Water Shuriken!" said the trainer. The frog pokemon created water moves and threw it at them.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" Ash said. The electric mouse's tail started to glow and destroyed all the water objects.
"Now, time for Thunder…" the trainer was about to say, until he noticed snow falling from the sky.
"Bolt?" he continued with hesitance, not even paying that much attention on the training anymore.
"What's… going on here. Snow in the middle of summer?" Ash asked, not believing it. The trainer put the frog ninja back into his pokeball, since he needed to focus on this weird phenomenon.
"Let's go, Pikachu, it might be a new pokemon" said the trainer.
The duo started to walk in the direction of the snow. It got only colder and colder as they were getting closer.
They ended up seeing a girl with light blue hair with darker tips. There was a cold aura surrounding her.
"Oh, come on! It's the third time this week!" the girl complained, angry her spell had failed.
Ash kept staring at her from afar. He couldn't see what kind of pokemon she was using.
"Alright, only one more try" the girl said, recomposing herself. She focused, and, created a small blue sphere with her fingers.
"Gelidus canis" Icylyn said, casting a freezing magical blast at the direction of a tree.
The tree was immediately turned into an ice statue. Ash couldn't help but be astonished by it.
"That's amazing!" screamed the trainer, mesmerized by the witch.
The Ice witch turned her head in shock. She wasn't expecting to be found by someone.
"How did you do all of that?" the trainer asked. Icylyn didn't even answer and started to fly using her snow magic to run away.
"Hey, wait!" Ash said, grabbing one of his pokeballs and summoning his talonflame to fly after her.
Icylyn kept trying to run away from him, but that bird was really fast. She ended up focusing her magic to make a boost and go even faster.
"Talonflame, use flame charge and block her" said the trainer. The bird quickly did as his trainer asked and got on the way of the witch.
She ended up crashing on him, and the four fell on the ground. Talonflame ended up falling on one side and Pikachu on the other.
Icylyn and Ash, though, ended up falling one on the top of the other. Both blushed at noticing their position, Icylyn a lot more than Ash for understanding the implication of their pose.
She quickly got up and tried to distance herself for him. He giggled and handled her the book that fell close to them.
"Sorry, I just wanted to talk" said the trainer, still giggling. The ice with eventually grabbed the book from his hand.
"Thank you…" she said while trying to hide her shyness with a mask of pride. She retributed the favor and also handled the boy her cap.
"So… if you don't mind. Can you please tell me who you are and how you can do all of this stuff? It was so cool!" said the trainer, amazed by the girl.
The ice witch sighed. He seemed nice and didn't judge her. So, answering probably wouldn't cause problems to say it out loud.
"I am Icylyn Spell… and I am a witch. An Ice Witch do be more specific" said the girl, finally answering the guy's question.
"A witch?! There are still witches out there?!" asked the trainer, surprised by her answer.
"Yes, there still are. We just moved to Towers to hide. I am just out because I wanted to see more of the Pokemon World" said Icylyn. Ash was still amazed by the girl, and how cool she was.
"Well, nice to meet you. I am Ash Ketchum, and this is Pikachu!" said the trainer, presenting himself and his pokemon to her.
"Pikachu" said Pikachu, quickly getting up and approaching the Witch. She hesitated for a while, but eventually pat his head calmly. It was clear it was one of her first times touching a pokemon.
"I have travelled for a long time. So, I can teach a lot of things" said the trainer, speaking with the enthusiasm of a child.
"I think that I would appreciate that…" the girl said with a warm small smile.
The two didn't know, but their story together would be a long one. They can't even imagine the feelings they will share, the relationship they will have and the son they will create.
